Beware. The female clerks that take orders and tend the register have overcharged me twice - 3/23/34 and 3/26/24. When asked why the price difference, they either feign knowledge, and ine they just round the total to the nearest dollar or the other said they have no change. For example, a half pound of carnitas or asada is $6.50 ($13/pound); well they'll charge you $7. TWICE - today and last Saturday. There is no post for a $7 charge. On top of their deceptive over charging practice, both females are rude. Today at noon, I asked if they had beans on weekdays (I usually visit weekends) and the female cashier had to ask the male cooks if they had beans. Never mind she's sitting directly in front of the pot in the stove and it was lunch hour (had already been open since 8am) when I'm almost positive I was not the first customer. It's a shame bc they're a small business and their meats (except the asada that's usually overdone) are pretty good. If this happens again, I will report to BBB and the appropriate administrative agency. If prices have changed, then post them! If cash only business, then have change! Service needs a lot of work. I made an order for my family that I dropped off without checking since it was a pretty small order. When I asked them a day later how they liked it, I came to find out half the order was missing. I called the place two days later to ask if I could have my sister pick up the rest of the order since I paid $32 for basically one pound of food and tortillas, and the lady who picked up said she doesn't know anything about the weekend staff. The only reason I'm giving any stars is because the food wasn't the worst (not the best - El Toro Carnicería in Santa Ana is hands down the best) and because I didn't realize part of the order was missing initially, so I guess that was my bad for not doing their job. But I'm pissed they messed up my parents' weekend lunch and won't accommodate. The place itself looks messy, but it's not a sit down restaurant so I don't think that's too relevant. read more

Care to prove it? Have you eaten trompa (snout), higado (liver), oreja (ear), buche (stomach), cuerito (skin), chicharron (pork rind), tripa (intestines)? S'matter, feeling queasy? Doesn't sound appetizing anymore? Wait, I thought you were a foodie? WTF, man?! I feel robbed, lied to even. So for those of you that are still standing and possibly having a rumbling of the stomach, you should definitely come here and indulge in your pork desires. I have had the following: carnitas, surtido, buche, chicharron, oreja, higado, and a couple of others. Price is definitely doable, $1.00 for a taco, $5.50 for a pound of pork of your choice, and about $8.50 per pound of asada and a couple of other products. The place is very open, you can see the "caso" where the pork is cooked, the grill for the other products, and the chopping blocks. Friends, you cannot go wrong here. If you feel brave, try the higado or oreja. I love this place and look forward to coming here on a regular basis, that and start taking Lipitor in the not so distant future. read more

With the good review histories, I decided to stop by to try. I used to eat good burrito shop in Hollywood, called El Gran Burrito. Their burritos used to be so huge, moist and seriously good with several salsas you can choose at their salsa bar. Los Kuinitos burrito was pretty big for the price and meats were tender. I asked if I could mix the meat (to try different things) and a server told me that they can make a mixed meat burrito with additional charge. Sure! I: "So, I'll take meat A and B mixed" (A and B were on the menu) Server: "We can't mix A and B" I: ".....OK, then A and C" S: "Not with C" Wait, I thought that they can mix the meat? I decided to try what pretty much caught my attention which was the Suritdo (in burrito form) which is apparently mixed pork meats and such. All I can say is, it's freakin amazing. I never had anything like it before! I came back another day and tried something interesting, get ready for it... CARNITAS WITH CHICHARRON (w/meat) on it) ---- BURRITO WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? $4.50? Please, just shut up and take my money. It also comes with rice, beans, cilantro, onions and verde sauce. Heaven. My only gripe, they have about 3-4 different food preps dudes and they all make the burritos differently. First timer so I got tacos! Carnitas and Chicharron. MFn delicious! Carnitas are not dry at all like I see plenty of reviews say but then again I came quite early and everything looked like it had just finished cooking ( I'm sure time of day matters for quality). They dip the tortillas in something before they throw them on the grill they should call it AWESOME SAUCE because it definitely changes the game! It's a hole in the wall but I feel these kind of places have the most delicious food. It's cash only and I do not see an ATM in here so that kinda sucks. The al pastor was ok, but I think I had a bit too much fat on my tacos for me to say it was great. Overall, legit tacos for a decent price ($1.25 each). -1 star for the snappy ass cook and the too-loud-to-hear-an-order-correctly music.
