Lunch Special, Chicken teriyaki with Goyza
    Timothy L.

Nice teriyaki restaurant offer a large selection of Japanese and chinese food. I stopped by here for lunch after shopping at a neighboring supermarket. Restaurant is very popular for the local lunchtime workers. I ordered the chicken teriyaki with Goyza lunch special. You order at the counter and the counter woman will bring the order to you if you eat in. The teriyaki chicken was nicely grilled and tasty; but heavy on the sauce. Goyza were crispy and filled moist pork filling. Side cole slaw salad also came with the dish. Overall, an enjoyable meal.

Very delicious, reliable chicken! I love the yakisoba chicken combo, but this time chose the standard combo, very good. The chicken was moist and charred perfectly with the sauce. I wish that the salad was served in the side container so I could have more chicken. The rice was very fluffy. I wish they served teriyaki sauce on the side but it was very well done. Will definitely get takeout again soon!!

Unassuming teriyaki joint right off Broadway, Teriyaki and Wok is now one of my work lunch staples. If you have been here before and didn't like it, know that new owners just took over here and they improved it in all categories. It is now cheaper, tastes better and the portions are bigger! Make sure to give this place another try!

We ordered take out from this place. They were pretty quick in the service. The food was hot. They have limited veg options. Katsu was little hard but it was the best of the three items ordered. General Chicken was bland in flavors. Kung Pao Chicken was spicy but seemed to have been cooked in reused oil.

Um isn't it considered bad luck to stick chopsticks in a bowl of rice?

Two super nice ladies run this place. Yummy teriyaki chix and tonkatsu. And the logo is wack -- picture a rabid dog with a black beard wearing chopsticks and a weiner as hair decoration. Actually, you don't have to picture it cuz I've included a photo of it here and it's actually a smiling bowl of rice. Almost cute!

Chicken wasn't tasty and fresh. I really tried to give it a chance. Paid $20 for a meh lunch and didn't finish it.

Not good. Pre cooked food. Tastes bad. Maybe if they made their food fresh, but they don't. Rip off.

Don't order the Singapore noodles! If I could give this place a negative review, I'd do it multiple times. Worst teriyaki place on the hill

They don't take phone calls or reservations online - very old school. Which I think makes it more desirable. We ended up getting a special room with a "chabudai" style table! I was super excited because I've never experienced it before. What I did find pleasant was that although it was a lower table, there was an opening beneath the table that allowed your legs to hang rather than having to sit Indian style. Tyson was an amazing server. Was attentive, accommodated our allergies and was thoughtful with us having a young child. He was so pleasant and polite! We enjoyed the following: Baked miso glazed eggplant - YUM and melts in your mouth. Black Miso Cod Collar - this was pleasantly surprising and so delicious. Eat bite was tender and flavorful. Simple yet so appetizing. Sushi rolls were both fresh and well prepared. The nigiri was also great and fresh- not fishy. We additionally ordered takoyaki - which I normally don't love but this one was very tasty and I enjoyed the texture. Lastly karage chicken which came with a creamy slaw. Overall it was such a pleasant experience and we look forward to coming back!

Established in 1904 in the heart of Japantown, the restaurant relocated to the ground floor of the NP Hotel after its original structure was ransacked during World War II, when Seattle's Japanese community was relocated to internment camps outside the city. The hotel where Maneki now resides served as repository for family heirlooms that were left behind during that embarrassing and tragic period of American history. The joy of dining at Maneki goes well beyond the restaurant's incomparable history. The traditional Japanese menu has something for every taste, from delicious Nigiri and Maki Sushi to noodle dishes and local seafood. Pair your meal with a classic Japanese cocktail or a cold bottle of Sake, and you'll understand why this is one of Seattle's best culinary experiences. Highly recommended.

I sat at the sushi bar as it was just myself. For lunch, I opted in for the Power Lunch and it was fantastic. Served with 5 pieces of nigiri, seared salmon, miso soup, salad, edamame and more. The salad is great with the ginger dressing and the miso soup was flavorful with tofu. The nigiri was fresh and flavorful. Also got a shrimp tempura roll which was great with tempura shrimp and fresh avacado. Overall no complaints here. There are so many dishes I want to try and will be back soon for more.

**Thursday evening around 5:00 p.m., party of 2. No wait.**…read more Unfortunately, I'm going to have to echo several of the recent reviews about the slow service. When we were seated, there were only about three other occupied tables, all with couples. Two of those tables were already being served their food. We placed our order, but our food didn't arrive for about an hour despite the restaurant appearing to be fully staffed. To make matters worse, multiple tables that were seated after us received their food before we did. The long wait might have been easier to overlook if the food had been worth it, but it wasn't. I ordered the seven-piece sushi assortment with a baked crab roll, and more than four pieces of the fish were still partially frozen. The fish did not taste fresh, which was especially disappointing after such a long wait. An hour to assemble seven pieces of sushi seemed excessive. Seeing that more than half of the fish was still partially frozen made the hour-long wait make a lot more sense. Maybe they were waiting for it to defrost before serving it. My sister ordered a baked crab roll and two pieces of seared snow crab. The seared snow crab was completely forgotten until I had already finished my meal. We had to remind the staff before they rushed to prepare it. The baked crab roll itself was decent, but the combination of the extremely slow service, disorganized order handling, partially frozen fish, and forgetting an entire dish until we asked about it means we won't be returning.
