We ordered some rolls along with a pork katsu and orange chicken. The pork katsu was great, served with rice and salad. The orange chicken... was hit and miss, some were crunchy and perfect but others were very gamey. The smoked salmon roll was disappointing since only one piece actually tasted smoked and the rest was flavorless. You do get complimentary self serve miso soup, very simple with no seaweed or tofu and hot tea, although the kettle was not plugged in so it was cold. My partner really liked his teriyaki meal and the portions are very generous. The sushi was pretty good too. I ordered in person because I wanted to make sure they didn't put sesame on mine due to an allergy. The online and the kiosk both don't have an option but the staff member was very kind and made sure to communicate it to the kitchen when I ordered, which was greatly appreciated. Wow. Just wow. Couldn't decide on a place to eat last night, and after hearing about the prominence of Teriyaki in Seattle, I had to check this place out. I walked in and immediately realized that nobody was inside: still a mystery to me. The lady inside was very kind and recommended I order the salmon teriyaki. Best. Decision. Ever. What I got was no rice, but also no extra salad... the portion was ok for what you pay, but the chicken was also ok, nothing really spectacular. It wasn't spicy and there was a lot of sauce. Have never dined in, but have ordered on Uber eats a handful of times. You can count on this place for their consistency. Teriyaki tastes the same every time. Love their spicy chicken teriyaki. It comes with two full scoops of rice and a small salad which is essentially just lettuce and dressing but the dressing is tasty! It's like a sweet ginger dressing. They were also accommodating on changing the regular roll to a hand roll which was great! The amount of fish included was a bit disappointing especially for an $8 roll. The place is cute on the outside and - bonus - there was actually a parking spot available right in front. Once inside, though, I was pretty disappointed. I ordered a chicken teriyaki combo with a California roll then found a seat in their dining room. It was a cold, near-freezing day and this room had no heat except that provided by a space heater that was on the opposite side of the room from me. It was SO COLD in there. Everyone had their coats and hats on. It might have been warmer to sit outside! Soon my meal arrived and it was a large, Bento-like assortment of teriyaki, rice, a salad, and the California roll. The teriyaki was okay - a little sweet for my tastes but it was acceptable. The roll, though, was pretty amateur. The rice was very dry and it seemed like it had been sitting out for awhile, maybe even overnight. I didn't even finish it, which (if you know my love for even mediocre sushi) is a rarity. I was also disappointed to find out that there was a charge for hot tea, especially since my meal came out to over $15 plus tax/tip. My significant other got the chirashi. We did takeout, and were a little surprised at it not coming in a bowl, but in the square takeout container. It did have more fish than other poke places in the area usually do though, so it didn't bother me too much. Chirashi also had lox (smoked salmon) which was very unusual but, meh it was yummy. They might not be my all time favorite spot, but they are my favorite in the area because they are close to me and the staff is literally so sweet, I love them so much!
