    Gulab Jamun in trash

This place is a disaster. My brother bought us food from this place. Gulab jamun served with the family pack is spoiled. We just threw it in the trash. Why do you serve food which is spoiled? The Biryanis are bland and no taste at all. We got mutton biryani, chicken boneless biryani and paneer biryani. None of them were good. Will never recommend this place and not worth trying unless you just want to eat spoiled food.

Visiting Dallas, TX. My friend recommended this place. We ordered Mutton Biryani family pack + Chicken Appetizers for to go for the weekend. Mutton Biryani is very tasty and specially mirchi ka Saalan (chutney) that comes along with biryani is pretty good too.We will order again when we are in Dallas area next time. Lastly, food packing is very well done. Good job team Biryani Bistro

An explosion of flavors and spice. Absolutely delicious. This restaurant is only 6 months old, but it has the charm and heritage of Hyderabad, India! Small place but packs a punch. The biriyani here is so moist and worthy of 5 star reviews. Check out their daily specials too. We tried the special: Goat Kheema Biryani Bowl. Wow! Had some chicken on top that looked spicy but is was not. The rice looked not spicy but it was! The mutton biryani is not spicy btw. I wish I lived close by. They would know me by name! Gracious owner and staff made us feel welcome and it made the whole experience even more memorable and desirable.

Not sure what the hype is all about. Got the mutton biryani today for lunch! Mutton was undercooked. Biryani was flavorless. Biryani gravy and raita were good!

We ordered takeout and it was ready when we arrived. Veggie Biryani (huge portion), Chicken Tikka Masala (It came very spicy), Tikka masala comes with one nan, so we ordered one more - they are cheap! It was all good and my husband said they were very nice. Where we live there are MANY many Indian restaurants, I would love to eventually try them all!!!

I liked the chilly chicken. This was not your regular Indo-Chinese chilly chicken, something different , but tasted good. The mutton shami kebab was okay, but too oily for my taste.I was really very eager to try the biryanis as they looked less spicy on pictures, just the way I like. But unfortunately both chicken and mutton lacked on flavor as they do not use very good quality biryani rice and the right amount of spices. This is not something, I am going to go back for. Quantity was less as compared to the prices.

I tried chicken dum biryani and it is as bad as it can be. With all the good Indian restaurants in Irving area, I am wondering how this place is having such bad food. I would recommend avoiding this place

Amazing Biryani! We were here with our friends and we tried veg and paneer biryani and loved it. Perfect spice level with no food color used like other biryani places and the food was served hot, Loved it! My friends who tried chicken biryani and malai tangdi appetizer also loved it. We also tried kubani Ka meetha which came with ice cream, not a fan of desserts but my friends liked it. The best dish is the mirchi ka salan which is not watery, is thick and there is actually mirchi in it unlike other biryani places :D. The service is great, they also offered us irani chai which was complimentary but was too sweet for me, I'd have loved it if we had the option to add the amount of sugar as per our choice. Note the biryani is not the level of spicy you'd expect like other biryani places but it still works perfectly. Will definitely be back with friends and family!

They have the most authentic Hyderabadi biryani and kababs! I just love the food here. It is fresh and very delicious.

I follow the chef/owner on Instagram (@kafibbq), and the amount of effort and detail he puts into his craft has resulted in multiple return visits for me. This review is for my latest visit. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Kafi BBQ can be found in a shopping strip in Irving-Valley Ranch. Only opened Friday - Sunday, on my most recent Sunday visit around dinner time, Kafi was packed. The patrons were a great mix of families, BBQ lovers, and those looking for high quality Halal meats. Smoke was in the air. 1 Star. Service - The staff is super friendly and nice. Pro Tip - Go for lunch or before 6 before items are sold out. A few items were sold out on my most recent visit (my fault I arrived at 6:45) and the staff weren't aware of what was available, leading to some confusion, but they were so nice it didn't impact my meal. 1 Star. Food - By now, you've probably read or heard about Kafi's Wagyu Brisket. For me, I love following @kafibbq on Instagram so I can see what Salahodeen is cooking up. On this visit, it was the Brisket Sandwich. First off, the house baked bread roll is soft, but firm enough to hold Kafi's famous brisket on a pile of home made cole slaw and pickles. The result was one of the best BBQ sandwiches I've eaten. The bite was soft, smokey, crunchy, and tart (from the pickles). It was a special, and I'm not sure if Kafi will keep this on the menu, but I hope they do. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. It's pricey, but it's worth it. While the brisket is great, I suggest you follow them on Instagram to see what's cooking and plan your visit around the specialty items. 1 Star.

I was really excited to try this place!…read more What went well * Super friendly staff * Fast service * Clean environment * The peach cobbler was delicious. It had a unique crust that was both crispy and soft. Easily my favorite thing I tried. What didn't go well * Unfortunately, the food itself was really disappointing * The meat lacked seasoning and tasted mostly like smoke without much flavor beyond that. This was the biggest letdown for me * The brisket and ribs were both dry * The Texas Twinkie was okay, but the bacon was mostly fat with very little meat * The cornbread was decent and stayed moist * The empanada was overloaded with cheese to the point it became overwhelming, while the meat filling was barely noticeable. Overall, I really wanted to love this place based on the reviews and atmosphere, but the food just didn't deliver for me.

The food was served cafeteria style and the seating reminded me of my high school lunchroom. I did not mind the setup; it was just unexpected. The first stop was at the pit master to choose the meat and I made sure to tell him it was my first visit. I got a juicy chopped brisket there. The next stop was where I chose my bread (I again mentioned that it was my first visit) and the person there recommended that I get the jalapeño bun and it was really good. It was not too spicy and added a nice flavor to the sandwich. He also suggested the street corn and the macaroni and cheese and I enjoyed those as well. I had a sprite fountain drink which did not taste that great so I got the sweet tea for my refill and that was really good. All the food was really good and there was plenty for me to take back to the hotel. I liked the fact that they had to-go containers and bags readily available so I didn't have to go back to the register to ask. I didn't try the peach cobbler until a couple days later but it was really good as well. I would definitely dine here if I am in Texas again and I highly recommend this restaurant. Everyone I spoke to was really nice and helpful throughout my visit. There were people walking around and checking on everyone and one disposed of my tray/trash while I was getting a refill and another brought the to-go container and bag to me since I did not see the spot where they were situated. It was a great start to my visit.

KKC has some of the best halal fried chicken I've had in the US, especially in the DFW area. This is one of those comfort meals you crave at 9 PM on a Tuesday that can't be beat. The ambiance is that of your average hole in the wall chicken joint. Overall I rate this place 8 s/10. ------------ The Zinger burger (basically a spicy chicken sandwich) is my go to order from here, a solid 8.5/10. They always put a huge chicken patty in there and a generous amount of sauce. You really can't go wrong. Their chicken itself is an 8/10, upgraded to 8.5 with the garlic sauce. They really got the spices down right. I would not recommend the Mac and cheese (5/10), it's very watery and lacked any flavor. The potato wedges were great though. One thing to note is that some of the side dishes have different prices on online orders when you add them on to your entrees vs. adding them separately ($.99 + difference). **Average Dish Cost(s): Under $8. **Food: 3 Piece White Meat Meal ($9.28)-- I chose white meat ($.80) and extra biscuits ($1.89) which increased the price from $6.59. The chicken was extremely delicious. It tasted fresh despite my order being late in the day and the skin was crisp and seasoned so well that I ate all of it. Usually I'll peel the skin off and discard it, but not this time. The white meat was juicy and nothing pink was found. 10/10. Extra biscuits ($1.89)-- These biscuits were some of the best I've ever had. Their outward appearance didn't match how delicious they were. They were soft and had an essence of honey to them. Side Mashed Potatoes ($2.99)-- I admit I was hesitant to eat this because I expected more of a brown gravy, but these were amazing! Not too salty and they tasted fresh. **Seating: Looked to have regular table style seating that is closed off due to the virus issue. **Location: It's located next to a bunch of other establishments within a mini strip type of place. I had this place Yelp bookmarked and I had not seen the Toyota Music Factory complex before now, so we drove the mile over. The place was empty at 2pm on a beautiful Saturday - I imagine it is quite busy when anything is playing at the TM venue. We ordered the southern fried chicken sandwich combo (to split) with fries. ($18 including tax and tip) The southern sandwich comes with pimento cheese and I find that hard to resist on any menu! - Splitting the sandwich was plenty of food to not leave you too stuffed. Casey was working the register - and maybe he was helping in the kitchen too. Our sandwich came out pretty quickly and was super hot. It was very crispy and a bit sticky, not too hot, very tasty!! Quite large too - the chicken thigh extended out quite a bit from the bun. The fries were Crinkle shape (my fav!), nice and hot, not too salty. FYI, with a combo you have a choice of only fries or mac and cheese (though there are other side options available al la cart). There was a card on the table to register to win $100 gift cert, so we both registered. Casey came by after to ask us to register, when we said we already had - he said we were entitled to a free banana pudding for doing so. Then he bought out TWO banana puddings. WOOT!! I think the 2nd pudding will be better tomorrow when the vanilla wafers have time to absorb more into the pudding. The free puddings got them the extra star. Casey was great - and really seemed to care that the few customers in the joint were happy and well taken care of. Bathrooms were clean. Couple suggestions: that they had ketchup as a "pump option" - rather than all individual packets. And boy oh boy I would have LOVED a DIET dr. pepper on tap (they had regular).
