Service; the staff didn't know the menu, had trouble communicating the menu questions, stood over us as we ate; stated they had no ice then later was given some. Food. Good, not great. During our dinner my front tooth broke eating Naan. My wife brought that to the attention of three different staff and not one response; not even from the owner. Eventhough I like having biryani here, I see that this place has a lot of potentional to be good in all other cuisines as well! Yes ! other vegeterian food is not up to the mark at all!!! If I could put zero stars I would. First, the naan was sour like as if it's been left out all day, it didn't taste right at all. And the butter chicken was garbage, it was so watery with like 5 little cubes of chicken. And for paying $92 for just a waste. Also, there was a piece of wood in our rice. Don't visit that place. Prices are high, but the quality of food is cheap and very poor. They charged for the service, even though, the service was worse. The guy gave us some sort OF salan shorba calling it "Raita". The biryani was so worst. I just can't say anything besides that, but this place needs to change. The prices are higher. They give you the worst quality freezer food. Raita is not raita, it was shorba of some Salan. The beef sandwich didn't have beef, it was filled with lots of veggies and 3 tiny boti of beef. A solid choice for vegetarian food on the way back from Six Flags, the Tempel Lippizans or Gold Pyramid House. Obviously on the Pakistani side of things rather than the Indian (the sign refers to "Biryani and Kabobs"). I followed the recommendation of the other veg reviewer and got the biryani; in addition, onion naan, samosa and dessert. The biryani was fine; it came served with a mountain of rice; finding the vegetables was a bit like hunting for treasure. Would easily serve two, possibly three. Flavors were balanced with a little heat. The hot sauce was excellent, and the yogurt sauce pleasantly tart. The samosa are available with either beef, chicken or vegetables and at $2 for two is great value. They're serviceable; pastry is a bit tough and the sauces a bit weak. The naan was also a bit tough and not very buttery. Next time I'd just get the regular; it featured only a few red onion scrapings. The dessert menu features some interesting choices in addition to the usual kulfi and mango ice cream, though they were out of the squash pudding. I got an apricot dessert that was essentially a conserve; it would be lovely topping yogurt or ice cream. read more

We were super excited when we saw the good Yelp reviews this place had and we thought it was a good sign how busy the place looked when we pulled into the parking lot. We took our food to go, and it smelled amazing. However, when we actually tried it, it was very mediocre tasting, unfortunately. We weren't impressed, as we'd tried another Indian food restaurant a few weeks ago not too far away and it tasted much, much better. This was okay, but the biryani was really dry and honestly the spices tasted off. Not sure how else to explain it. Overall, it was nothing special. Had one literal piece of eggplant in one curry, and maybe 5 pieces of cauliflower and 2 chunks of potato in the other (I counted). Curried goat comes out and has again, a LITERAL piece of goat and a bowl of broth. For $35 I would take your money elsewhere. I know it's crazy to write a 5 star review based on chai alone, but it is that good. Don't be fooled by the fact that it is always ready to go in a percolator. It is strong tea with the perfect texture. Oh and I had the beef fried roll which was good but had a little too much beef (which isn't really a huge issue since you can pick the extra out). Awesome vegetarian fare! I order every couple of months at so, and in the past even the mild was too hot for everyone in my family to fully enjoy. Today things were just right -- good amount of tang, like competitors' level of heat -- with the flavors shining through instead of being overpowered by spice. Took things from 3 stars to 4! Hopefully that's the new standard. Any of the vegetarian dishes go perfectly together with all the others, with the Aloo Gabhi being my go-to centerpiece. read more

So here's a first for me in review writing - writing one for this restaurants inability to serve! Went here for an early dinner on Sunday around 5 and the owner (I think) was putting up a paper note on the door which said closed for a break till 5:30. Their website says open from 10:30am to 10:00pm. Such a bummer since we had wanted to try this place for a long time and did a long drive. The person putting up the note did see us parking right in front of the restaurant and one would have expected a basic courtesy communication for this off time 'break'. But nah he puts the note and just walks away! Anyways we had some other work in the area and after a bit I tried calling to atleast place an order for takeaway. First time I get thru, the person picks the call and says ok for takeaway order. On my end baby starts crying so I say I'll call back in few minutes.
