Got it as a delivery for thanksgiving. Tried both styles of Biryani, and both tasted amazing! Family and friends were happy.

Jalebi Street has been highly recommended to me by multiple vegetarian and non-vegetarian friends,…read moreso I suggested it as the dinner portion of our regular try-all-the-bars-listed-in-this-one-book nights (that night's bar was Zam Zam). We ordered a bunch of fried things and enjoyed it all. Very flavorful and well executed. The friends did not recomend the actual jalebis, but I insisted on ordering one because of the name and really liked it.

Overall, we enjoyed the food, although I felt it was a little expensive for the portion sizes. We made a fairly simple request to have one ingredient served on the side, but it was missed and never acknowledged. At one point, I asked for an extra napkin, and it was carelessly dropped onto one of our dirty plates. We were also asked to clear the table almost immediately after paying to make room for upcoming parties (as is their right, but they could have easily notified us of this earlier so we could plan accordingly - and the service hadn't felt particularly considerate or attentive up to that point). I understand they may have been understaffed, but the way the service was handled felt very avoidable. I wouldn't recommend unless trying authentic dishes is your top priority.

I ordered food with medium spiciness. It was pretty spicy but I really liked it:) The people sat next to my table was having something sizzling ( maybe tandoori chickens?) looking delicious! Next time I may try that!! Service - I walked in without reservation but got seated right away. Food came pretty fast:) Ambiance - very spacious!! And nice decoration on the wall. I will go back there again:)

The restaurant was…read morefairly empty when we arrived, but by the time we left, it was busier and had a number of occupied tables. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating and a separate bar area. The lunch buffet is $19.99 before tax & tip and seemed to be a pretty fair price. Now for the lunch buffet, there was a good variety of both meat and veggie curries along with basmati rice and a few appetizers (pakoras, etc). I enjoyed the tandoori chicken, butter chicken, dal and a veggie curry with spiced potatoes and peas. The dal had a nice flavor and a little kick and was a bit spicy, but paired well with the rice. The staff also brought over fresh naan, which was pretty good. The pakoras weren't too good, a little too salty, but the chutney helped. Customer service was friendly and attentive, with staff checking in occasionally on if we needed anything or wanted a refill of naan. I will say I assumed the chai was included with the buffet, and totally missed the signage that it was an extra cost. So, it was a slight surprise when we got the check. Otherwise, it was a pleasant dining experience and I was glad to find a Indian restaurant with a lunch buffet available on a Sunday, as most places only offer a lunch buffet during the workweek (Monday to Friday). Recommend trying out Apna Chulha if you're in the area.

Tried the balti chicken this time and it was just ok. It could improve on service..while waiting for our food we wanted to order more and had asked the guy working there (packing all the food) if it would be a long wait to add 1 more thing and he just said they're too busy and can't....mind you there was an hour still before closing almost so this was a little disappointing. However, their food is always delicious and packed with meat! The lamb biryani is easily shareable between 3-4 hungry adults. Can't wait to return back!

So glad to have a place in the city serving idly. That is all. Medu Vada ($8): I think this was also my first time trying vada! It was good, but not as good as idly. It was fried but not oily, which is always a win. But it was drier and denser than I hoped for. Not overly so, but I think I just wanted it to be like fried idly but in a donut shape. In that case, I should have just ordered fried idly and let go of the shape. That's on me! Podi Masala Dosa (~$15): Super yummy. I loved the crisp and chew of the dosa. Potatoes are always amazing. And the podi added a wonderful flavor. The portion was great, and I was definitely full. Service was prompt and friendly. I would definitely come back. It's a cute spot with dosa and idly, so what's not to like?
