My daughter took me to this restaurant and I absolutely loved it. The meat was well-seasoned and the salad, the fries, and garlic hummus blended so well together. My plate was so spotless that my daughter could not help making fun of me. The restaurant also offered additional sauces if you wanted to enhance the flavor. I tried them all and everything blended together so perfectly. This restaurant concept is self-service--we prepaid for the food and picked it up when it was ready. Since it wasn't busy, the staff brought the food to us and took our dishes away rather than us having to drop the dirty dishes in the assigned area. Was excited to try Dish N Dash after living in South Bay for so long but I thought it was just ok! I got the lamb shawarma over rice with tabbouleh and lentil soup. The lentil soup was super delish and probably my favorite item from here. The meat portion seemed a bit small and they gave a lot of rice. I think it definitely could have benefitted from some kind of sauce because it was a bit dry and the flavors were falling flat. First time coming here and it is an order and find your seat type of restaurant but has a cabin cozy vibe to this place and I love it! I got the Mansaf which is a yogurt like curry with lamb and rice and it had a tangy taste to it with tender bites of lamb. I also tried the beriani dejaj which is similar style with a more subtle tangy taste to it with chicken bites which I might like more. I like the Fremont location and so I tried this one and overall food quality was very consistent but I would say portioning at Fremont is more. I removed one chair to an out of the way area and had the dog laydown in the space where the chair had been. After looking over the menu, I stayed at the table while my wife went up to the counter to place our order. She came back with a order pager and informed me that the food would be delivered to the table by staff. She then went to get a couple of glasses of water for us to drink and some for the dog as well. When the food came, so did forks and napkins. Everything was pretty straight forward and there were no surprises. Grilled Veggies - 4 - It was a nice variation to have some asparagus, but it would have been even better if the woody parts had been removed first. Still, it was a nice change of pace from the usual zucchini, eggplant, onion, bell pepper blend. There was also some cauliflower and broccoli. Veggie Delight - 5 - The Pita could have been hotter but everything else was very good. I often don't like Falafel and there's only one other restaurant where I'll order it.
