I stop here occasionally to pick up replacement wear items for a relative who uses a rollator to walk. The location is convenient, and I've never had to wait around for assistance, which is all good. Stock seems to be variable - one of the parts I need regularly seems to have been dropped from the regular stock list but there are alternatives available. The biggest experience factor is the staff - I've encountered cheery helpful staff (yay!) and one or two people who seem to consider "helping" me to be quite an imposition (boo!). read more

I called Bischoff's on a Thursday morning at 9 and left a message with their technical number. Afraid I hadn't left my phone number, I called again and left a second message an hour or so later. I heard nothing all that day and on Friday, I called again, before opening, just to leave another message but the machine said the mailbox for technical assistance was full. It's now Saturday, they're not open, and my lift chair still isn't lifting. Fortunately, Friday I emailed the company that manufactures the chair and they sent 5 company names that repair their merchandise. None of them was Bischoff's. I had a wonderful experience at Bischoff's Medical & Mobility. I was referred to them by the Santa Clara Hospital Burn Unit. My 11 year old had been burned pretty badly, and we went there to get our supplies. We were greeted by their wonderful staff. They had every supply we could possibly need, and then some. They were very knowledgeable, and very patient with us. Their customer service was amazing. Especially because my son was really scared, and they went out of their way to make him feel secure and comfortable. That says a lot!!!! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!! STAY AWAY!!! And very poor customer service to boot. My first time writing a negative review. Bischoff's double charged me and have been rude or unresponsive about sending me a refund. I bought a transport chair for my father who was terminally ill and urgently needed one in June 2012. We couldn't wait for an in-network provider to send us the chair in 5 days. Bischoff's wanted us to pay upfront and said they would bill insurance and refund the money once they were paid. That sounded fair enough and I paid Bischoff's $269 for it. They billed the insurance's preferred provider who then billed me $301 because my father had not met the deductible which I paid. Bischoff's was sent a check and CASHED IT ON SEPT. 15th, 2012. Towards the end of September, I followed up and was told they received the payment and would be sending me a refund shortly. Called several times, even went into the store and was reassured I would be receiving the refund shortly. Finally went in on Jan. 14, 2013 and was told the sales person who had helped was no longer with the company and that's why I haven't received the refund. But it was billing I have left messages for, so why should it matter that the sales person is no longer with the company? They then I should call the provider and check if they had paid Bischoff's. I told them that the provider had paid. So they said it would take them a "couple of days" to research that the bill was indeed paid since they have a lot of paperwork to look through. It is now Jan. 18, 2013. Didn't hear back and called them - no progress. They cashed the check on Sept. 15, 2012. Towards the end of September, they confirmed that they received payment. Its January 18th, 2013 and they have still not refunded me the money. At this point, chances of me getting a refund for $269 seem slim at best. When I told them I was going to write a Yelp review and take it to the BBB, they said they would resolve the issue today. I don't have much faith in it. Playing all these games over a terminally ill patient's refund is very degrading. What happens to the double payments if a patient passes away and cannot follow up? Or is too ill to make a gazillion phone calls and go there in person? My father passed away. I paid on my credit card. Yet a refund does not seem to be coming my way. In Oct. I used Brannon's Medical to get a hospital bed, wheelchair, oxygen, etc. Since they were short staffed, the manager, Seri, personally drove the truck for the delivery. I went to Bischoff for a motorized scooter for a family member. The location is easy to find and there is ample parking. The staff was great and customer service was excellent. There was a lot of variety and options for scooters and prices are competitive. I would definitely come back here for any other mobility needs. read more

These socks are tight, and I don't know that I could figure out how to get them on without her demonstration and allowing me to do it on my own. After breaking my ankle, I called around to a few different places to inquire about wheelchair rentals. Bischoff's was easy to get hold of and the person who answered the phone was very friendly and knowledgeable. Their prices were significantly cheaper than other places I had called, and they had a ton of options to choose from. I ended up renting the wheelchair from them, and had an altogether excellent experience. This place seems to have everything you need and despite the terrible customer service i find myself back at Bischoff's...each time hoping desperately that the customer service will be improved. I actually walk in somewhat scared of the workers. I have experienced some of the worst customer service at this store and I am in search of a equivalent store in the area so I can avoid uncomfortable shopping in the future. I recently rented a scooter for a week. The scooter broke mid week. The seat actually broke off where its welded on, thank god i was stationary or i could have been seriously injured! When I spoke to the manager about a refund she told me that she had to find the policy. She then called back and said "I'm going to just refund your card because finding the policy is going to take forever, and then I'll forget to call you back and you'll get mad". Not to mention she actually said if it were up to her she wouldn't give me a refund! I was disgusted with the lack of customer service! read more

We have just received delivery of a lift chair purchased at Bischoff's. The staff at Bischoff's was so knowledgeable and patient as we selected just the right chair for comfort and for fit into our home. The chair has just been delivered and it is perfect in every way. The gentlemen who delivered it took extra time to make sure it was working properly and even moved another piece of furniture so that the chair was situated in the best place in the room. We will certainly return to Bischoff for any other medical equipment needs. read more

Well I heard that before but than my mother calls me and tells me Mauricio was one of the best people that has ever come to her house and assisted her with manors and professionalism. I want to share the experience that I had with true customer service. I had bought my elderly mother a lift chair one year ago. The zipper on the cushion head rest seemed like it was not sewn on very well. When my mother tried to open it to remove some of the stuffing the zipper would not close up, it kept getting stuck on the stuffing. The chair is practically brand new since she did not find it very comfortable due to over stuffed head rest. I went in to the office and spoke with the person in charge of orders and she called manufacturer and they said we would have to buy a new back rest!! That would cost $500 I was very upset. I felt like she did not really try to help me. I asked if maybe a service call could be done to see if zipper could be repaired. We had the service call ($60) and told the zipper could not be fixed. At this time I spoke with the service person (Mauricio) who said he would call the manufacturer and speak with them regarding our problem. He was extremely nice and informative regarding what could possibly be done. A few days later Mauricio called and informed me that the manufacturer agreed to order us a replacement back rest at no additional fee. Mauricio followed through with all that he said, would happen. I hope that Bischoff's Medical appreciates the customer friendly employee that they have in Mauricio. I will be honest with you before dealing with Mauricio I was ready to never ever return to this business, but thanks to him I will, and will continue to refer our Valley Medical employees/patients there, when needing supplies. Wow! What an outstanding experience I had. I want to share it with the world! On a Friday, our "hoyer lift" broke. The hydraulic pump on the pump, just stopped working. This is a critically important piece of equipment at our house. It enables our caregivers to lift my sister -- who is paralyzed and blind-- from out of her bed to her wheel chair and allow her to be wheeled outside for some fresh air and a change of place and then back again after the bed has been changed. Although she is pretty thin, we CANNOT move her without this piece of equipment. When I called to ask about replacing the hydraulic pump, the owner assured me, that he'd just have another lift set aside for me to use. I arrived the next day , Saturday morning with our broken lift. And sure enough, Priscilla greeted me with another lift to use. Unfortunately, it was slightly different and 2 extremely important features were not part of this "new" lift. AND because it was Saturday, unfortunately, there weren't any service technicians on duty to help me. Undaunted, Priscilla and I set up shop in the parking lot, and with the tool kit in my car, proceeded to disassemble my lift to replace the pump from the "newer" lift onto our broken lift. Unfortunately, it didn't fit on my lift and another part from the newer lift had to be disassembled and put on my lift. We spent about 1 1/2 hours totally dismantling both lifts and rebuilding the one I came with so that it would work perfectly in our small house. Although Priscilla had never done this before, her "can do attitude" and tenacity saved the day (it's a good thing, as I have "0" skills in doing anything mechanical) and I was able to bring it back to the house and we were once again able to transfer my sister from her bed to her chair and back again. Priscilla was a lifesaver! I felt so lucky that she was there. She's a fabulous representative of this important business that provides such life altering equipment to so many people in compromised situations. THANK YOU BISCHOFF'S!! THANK YOU PRISCILLA! I have never written a yelp review - good or bad. However, the incompetence of Bischoffs compels me to do so. I sought to purchase a particular ankle support at Bischoff. It was not in stock. So, Bischoff had to order it. The wrong ankle support arrived. Bischoff improperly ordered it. Bischoff then re-ordered. Thereafter,I was told the date it would arrive and went in to pick it up. It did not arrive. Nearly three weeks had passed. It took so long that I simply bought the same item (which was in stock) from a competitor and cancelled my order with Bischoff. At the time I cancelled, I returned to Bischoff the wrong item which they had ordered and given me. They gave me a written credit receipt and purportedly credited my credit card. When I received my credit card monthly statement, Bischoff had charged me twice for the same item which they were unable to deliver. In summary, Bischoff never provided the product, but charged me twice. When I try calling them, I get their voicemail. Total incompetence, lack of service and a waste of time. read more

I called Bishoffs on 8/6 as I needed to rent a nebulizer for my six month old son. I was told over the phone by a nice lady that they do that so I drove over. Upon arriving I stood at front desk for several minutes while the man who worked there was helping someone. He didnt acknowledge me at all. When he did I asked him how i could the machine and he told me the person who does that wasn't there and should be back later. I sat in parking lot and called back and lady said she will leave a note for him to call me. Well I never got a call and it's the next day. I had to call my son's pediatrician and tell them apparently I can't seem to rent one. I was able to get one thru my sons dr and the company Brannons who had great customer service will bill my insurance directly. Won't work with Bishoffs again if I need anything they sell or rent. Made a frustrating day even more so with their lack of service. read more

Bischoff's is absolutely fantastic. Earlier this fall I called because my brother was in need of a wheelchair He was terminally ill and could no longer get around on his own. I ordered a Jazzy wheelchair and hoped to have it delivered quickly. I was also concerned because my brother was in no shape to set up the wheelchair on his own. The owner ordered the wheelchair and assured me that she would get it delivered, have it set up, and have someone show my brother how to use it. Within three days it was being delivered to Boulder Creek, no short distance away, while at the same time my brother was being taken to the emergency room in an ambulance. I called Bischoff's and they turned the truck around. When I called five days later to say that my brother would be home later that day, Bischoff' arranged to have the wheelchair delivered that afternoon. The wonderful thing is that they truly cared and went out of their way to help. This is the place to go if you want professional and caring service. read more
