We are new to the NYC area with our two senior rescue dogs, Boo and Daisy. When we walked into Biscuit and Bath we appreciated that it is so very warm and friendly! Lecy made Boo and Daisy feel right at home in their first daycare experience. She was very responsive to our dogs' age and personalities. All the staff is really friendly, too. Since then we have gotten the dogs bathed, too. It was the dogs' first experience getting professionally bathed, too. What a difference a bath/blow dry made to our 14 year old Boo (he looked 5 years younger!). We also brought in my daughter's senior pup, Chester for a bath (plus grooming on his "creature paws) and he looks so adorable with the little holiday bow on his collar. It is so important to socialize your dog in NYC. I have been taking my 6 year old dog to B&B TriBeCa since she was a puppy, and she loves it! It was the perfect solution to know she was safe and happy, having supervised play with nice healthy dogs, while I was at work. There is always some small risk in a group setting, but these guys are very compliant on making sure they have all up to date vaccination records for all of the dogs, even those dogs just getting groomed. I see a review on here complaining about mixing sizes of dogs. They do mix some gentle larger dogs with smaller ones, and keep the rowdier ones separate, it is great. All play is supervised, (and all messes are cleaned right away). It really helped to socialize smaller dogs like my Hannah. The larger dogs mixed with the smaller ones are generally older quiet dogs or puppies that play well with small dogs. My dogs love it so much that they try to take me there when we walk at night, it is their favorite destination. I got a 2nd dog last year (pre pandemic), who I was able to take for daycare for a month (after she had gotten all of her vaccinations)before lock down, and she also loved it. They had to shut down for a few months, but continued with grooming services a couple months later, and now are open week days. I am now working from home so do not need to take them every day during the week. But still take my younger dog there a couple times a week since it really works well for tiring out an energetic puppy, and the socialization is great and very important for a young dog. And she loves it. I would also highly recommend their groomer Romelia, she is amazing. She does such a beautiful job with my dogs. They are both non shedding dogs that require haircuts every couple months. And my Tibetan Terrier has huge amount of long fur so she gets regular baths and brush outs. The hairstyles she does on both of them are stunning. B & B has had groomers in the past that were not great. But I highly recommend Romelia. Been meaning to write a review for this lovely staff! We recently moved from NYC to Seattle, and I must say that I compare every doggy day care center here to Biscuits & Bath in Tribeca. My dog, Remy, went to B&B for over a year, and she always was so excited to go to day care (literally...she would start pulling on the leash a block out!). While it does come with an expensive price tag, it's worth every penny knowing that my dog is cared for by the people who genuinely love animals. The front desk always knew her by name when we walked in/out, and if she ever wasn't feeling well, I received immediate text message updates. This is something I took for granted as I've come to try other day care centers where it feels too stiff, and they don't appreciate every dog's personality & quirks. In terms of the reviews where people criticize B&B for not providing water - I personally feel as though it's something one should expect when taking their dogs to a day care center. If you'd like your dog to be fed food and water separately from all the other 30+ dogs in the room, it's better off he/she is taken on group walks from home instead. I mean that in the best way possible since it's extremely difficult to avoid any conflicts when there are so many dogs within a confined space. Some dogs want space, and they can be possessive about water/food. As a solution, I made sure Remy didn't puke after day care by giving her food/water in moderation when we came home. I have been bringing my Morkie here for the last month or so for Daycare and I only had positives experiences. I was extremely nervous leaving my little baby but know he needed socialization and something to do during the day. (Otherwise I stare at him on my doggy cam all day at home!) He also only ran to humans at dog parks and wouldn't interact with dogs. He was sick as a puppy so couldn't get that early interaction. The staff knew My dog by name (and me) by the first week. When I pick him up, they sometimes tell me who his friends are and how he interacted for the day. He gets home and is tired and gets to sleep at a regular hour. Prior to this, he was a vampire dog that stayed up all night! I understand that not all dogs (and some humans) are not meant for this, maybe that's why some of the negative reviews. read more

In February, my dog had a grooming appointment at 11 am after he was dropped off, I received a text message stating that he would take longer than usual because his appointment was at 9 am. First and foremost, the appointment was at 11 am; I was offered 9 am or 11 am and chose 11 am. Secondly, why did no one call me between 9 am, and 11 am when he was dropped off to ask if he was no longer coming or what was happening? I was told there was a miscommunication (no apology) and that the groomer would "try her best." I stated that I did not want mine or any other dog's service rushed and inquired about when he would be done but did not get a straight answer. This was the second time in recent months that I had experienced a scheduling "miscommunication." Today, I dropped him off early for a bath appointment and was called the following hour as he was ready. I informed the manager who called that I would not be able to pick him up in 10 minutes, as I assumed he would've had to wait to still been seen at his initial appointment time. Nevertheless, I receive another phone call that as my dog had been there for an extended period of time, he had been moved into daycare for the day. I don't know what gives B&B the authority to make executive decisions about the care and placement of my dog without consulting with me first. I said that I did not want him in daycare and I would come immediately to pick him up. When I arrived, the manager was blatantly rude and disrespectful, initially ignoring me and then interrupting me as I tried to speak about my experiences and even walking away while I was speaking. Additionally, Biscuits & Bath now has a veterinary practice and is continuously trying to solicit and upsell clients to use their practice which I feel is somewhat invasive. Overall, while the grooming services have been consistently good, and the groomer is all around lovely, enthusiastic about her job and very good at what she does, I won't be returning due to the lack of customer service from management and poor business organization. read more

I used to send my dog here, but we've since stopped. just walked by this location and saw the sweetest little bulldog puppy in the window, all alone, looking very said. She was completely unsupervised, and there was no one around watching him/her. It broke my heart. If you're the business and you're reading this, please take good care of the dogs that your clients trust you with. If you're the owner of this bulldog puppy, please hold them accountable and consider not sending him/her here anymore. I cannot express how sad I was as I was trying to play with him through the window because no one else was. read more

***PLEASE BE AWARE...DOGS ARE NOT GIVEN FREE ACCESS TO WATER*** Lesson learned after this experience, ask questions...do not assume. After months of paying their extremely high rates I finally figure out the truth about their water policy. Each day after my dogs would get back from this day "care" center they would both go straight to their water bowls and drink non-stop for 15-20 minutes and then immediately throw up. I should've figured it out sooner but I never imagined that they were being denied adequate water throughout the day...such a basic need. Upon finding this out I immediately pulled my two dogs from any service they provide. The trust is simply gone. The water policy here is unacceptable. If the issue involves fights over the water bowl then put ten water bowls out...I'd even donate them if my 2k+ per month wasn't enough to cover that cost. My only hope is that this facility changes their water policy for the sake of the health of the other dogs that attend their daycare. If a water bowl is put out only for a few minutes every three to four hours how are they ensuring that each dog in that room is getting a drink during those few minutes...the answer is they are not. My dogs consistently came home behaving as though they had not had a drink of water all day which really breaks my heart. This is totally shocking and unacceptable. read more

I have been using doggy daycare at BnB for months now and I can't give them enough praise here in Tribeca. The staff are always so eager to help and always give me useful updates on my pup's day. It may not be the cheapest place, but Im quite impressed with the quality of service and the helpful, loving staff. I am away at meetings regularly, and am confident to leave my puppy in their hands overnight. I highly recommend the puppy kindergarden classes for learning how to teach the basic commands. read more

The best for grooming! I have been a client for about four years - first with my older pup who was quite ill and now with my two puppies. Romelia the groomer takes such good care. She follows grooming instructions consistently and they look great, but it is more than that. She is super fast so my pups spend minimal time there and you can tell by the way the dogs greet her that she takes such good care of them. I know they are safe and getting personalized attention when they are with the staff at Bisquits & Bath, which is by far the most important thing! Highly recommend. read more

I'll start by noting that this review is solely for the Tribeca location - I haven't tried the others. My dog has come to this location every day during the week for six months, and everyone at this location is really fantastic. The people at this location, from the management down, all seem to really care about my dog. Some examples of the great things they've done for us: I always ask certain questions when I pick her up, and now they're always ready with answers before I even ask. They've waited for me when they know I'm going to be a couple of minutes late to pick her up. They call me if we haven't come in for a few days just to make sure things are OK with my dog (and she's on a monthly package rate, so it's not like they're calling just get the extra rate for that day). I could go on, but ultimately, the main point is that I don't feel like my dog is "just one of the dogs" to them. This location seems like the perfect mix of corporation and small business - corporate enough to be a smoothly operating machine, yet small business enough to know me and for me to know most of the people there. I will also specifically note that with respect to the additional holidays charges that one commenter has talked about, I have no idea if that review was for the Tribeca location or another, but for the last six months that I've been coming here, there are signs printed out and hung before every holiday AND the staff has asked if we'll be coming in on the day when the holiday rate is assessed to make sure I know about it. read more

I am often stopped and asked where does he go for Grooming and I have no hesitation in recommending B&B. I have tried other places when I can't get in but they are the best. The staff is really lovely at B&B Tribeca. But my dog, Lilly's experience was not as good as mine was. To tell you the truth, I was horrified about her one visit to B&B and I won't be bringing her back. When I went in to sign her up for daycare, I was told that she would be with small dogs, except for a very limited number of large dogs with a placid temperament. In fact, I had only seen the location when a small number of dogs were visible (fewer than 10). Most of the time the small dogs were in the front room, with windows on the street, and they were never overcrowded. So imagine my surprise, when I brought her in for her first four-hour session and she was put in the back room with at least 30 dogs of all sizes, who immediately swarmed all over her. I left her, against my better judgment. The staff was kind enough to text me a picture of her, but she looked so completely stressed out, I was hardly comforted. Lilly is a pretty feisty Yorkshire terrier, so if she was stressed out, you can imagine how difficult this would be for a less outgoing pup. I know it is difficult to predict how many dogs will need daycare in a given day, and I am sure that the B&B staff works hard to keep the dogs happy. But I had no idea that Lilly would be in such a chaotic situation. Our experience was the complete opposite of what I had been promised. Biscuits & Bath didn't work for us, and I can't recommend it. read more

NEVER SEND YOUR DOG HERE !! A few years back, I boarded my dogs here while on a trip to Los Angeles. The first day, I got a call from them letting me know that my puppy was attacked and another dog bit her neck. I shrugged it off thinking dogs will be dogs. Then the calls kept coming in. Unfortunately, this took place during a really bad blizzard and I could not fly back into the city. I got another call saying that my other dog got bit in her face! Now I was getting very annoyed and frankly, pissed off. It was the next call that completely tipped me over the edge. Apparently, they allowed my dog's tail to get caught in a door!! Thus amputating a quarter of her tail. All while I couldn't get a flight back! To this day, every time my dog shakes her tail, she sprays blood all over. And it cannot be fixed! If you love your dog, do not send it here. read more

We've been bringing our Bulldog, Gordon, to B&B since May 2016. Up until this point, our experience has been fair. There have been a few incidences that we have not been pleased with (i.e.: kennel cough/URI, nips from other dogs, etc) but were willing to overlook due to the fact that 1.there is a higher risk of illness in a group setting and 2. accidents do happen. However, after this weekend, Gordon will NOT be returning to Biscuits & Bath. We picked him up on Saturday to find his face all bitten up! He looked like he was attacked. When my husband asked what happened, the staff member said, "Oh he's fine. He and a lab went for a kong at the same time and he got nipped. But we put peroxide on it. Gordon is a good boy." Nipped?? This is more than just a nip. I'm not sure what is making me more upset -- the fact that Gordon's face is mangled or their cavalier attitude towards the situation. Yes, Gordon is a really good boy but that's completely irrelevant. Some sort of apology would have been great. Perhaps even a phone call. Also, were the dogs separated after the incident? Was the kong removed? Who looked at the cuts/bites to assess that they were "ok"? We got nothing. Furthermore, in response to one of the yelp reviews below from June 2012, David Maher from B&B Client Relations said, "we do not put out toys because these items can cause competition between dogs causing a fun play environment to escalate". I realize this was written a while ago but is this rule no longer enforced? Again, I've had a few complaints in the past that Helen and Genevieve have always been kind enough to address. But overall, I don't think the level of care is consistent across the board. Some staff members are more careful and attentive than others. Hopefully, more is done to prevent such accidents and/or handle them in a better manner. I'd hate for this to happen again to another dog. read more

My dog really seems to love biscuits and bath, the people that work here really seem to love dogs and enjoy their job. They are very strict with the shots which I was happy about bringing a puppy here. But it is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE and I do feel like you nickeled and dimed over every little thing. I think walks should be included in doggy daycare and I think it should be until 8pm without extra charges. I also think they should have had a free trial day like they did in the past. read more

A few comments and then my wife and I can rid ourselves of the careless service of B&B forever: - We understood walkers could not be guarenteed; however, we were constantly reassured that unless an emergency came up, we would have the same walker for the most part. B&B giving us 5 walkers in the first 2 weeks isn't exactly keeping your end up the bargain given I'm guessing each change wasn't due to an emergency. - You left out the part when you were denied access to our building because the walker forgot his/her ID and a manager had to come walk Duke instead which resulted in a late walk. - You have "professional" dog walkers...as you are aware, puppies can be stubborn, and instead of being intelligent enough to find a way to get our 10lb puppy to walk the extra 20 steps on that day outside of the building, she thought it would be safer to leave him in his crate for another 6 hours with the risk that he would be sitting in his own feces for the day. - Given we spoke to B&B on an almost regular basis regarding issues we had with your company, you'll have to forgive us for not wanting to talk to you right away after you left our door unlocked...I don't think a conversation with my wife and I would have made your walkers any more competent. - We currently use the same crate that was left open when Duke was left out for the afternoon. Don't ever insult my intelligence by claiming a faulty lock was the root of the problem. If it was our fault and the crate was the problem, we would have never expected a dime from B&B. - Why would we ever want to meet 1 on 1 w/ a manager? We had already spoken to 4 of them between the 2 locations and still received the same terrible, careless results. We finally found a trustworthy walking company and 1 month in it has been amazing. I recently adopted my perfect dog from NY ACC and got some gifts for biscuits & bath. First of all, even talking to client services (Iliana) on the phone, she was very knowledgeable and figured my pup had kennel cough. I've also emailed her so many times already (new dog owner) and she responds quickly. And, when I took him to see the vet there, Laura, she was amazing - gave me a lot of information and she emailed me to check-in (synchronistically right when I was trying to find her card to email her a panicky question. The space they have is really small which I don't care about, just a heads up. But she had everything she needed to take care of my pet! Would feel comfortable leaving him here. read more

I am responding to the comments of Biscuits & Bath regarding our horrendous recent grooming experience. Unfortunately, nothing that was said actually addresses any of our concerns, and just blames the victim. Fact: Come on, it doesn't take eight hours to groom two dogs. That's particularly true when you choose to simply cut all of their hair off rather than actually try to comb out the mats. Note that there was not even an acknowledgment that perhaps they overbooked and that no one was consistently working on our dogs for 8 hours. Absurd, bordering on cruel. They obviously spent a lot more time in a crate at B&B waiting to be groomed than they did actually getting groomed. Fact: The dogs were matted. We accept that, and we even accept that a groomer could feel that getting the mats out might be too difficult for the dogs, and our request to only have two inches taken off was unrealistic. But before unilaterally deciding that you are unable to comply with our request, a phone call is in order. B&B had all of our contact information and could have easily reached out. Instead, they made the decision on their own without even the courtesy of consulting with us first. If they had indicated that both dogs would have ended up so radically different than the instructions that were given, we may have chosen not to have the grooming done at B&B--some groomers are better at or more patient dealing with mats than others. But at least it would have been our choice. Fact: We were never given a "handbook" related to B&B's drop-off policies. We have never heard of a policy that would require the delivery person to place two dogs in one crate that is clearly not designed for two dogs, and leave them there for hours. Of course, had the grooming not taken 8 HOURS, our dog walkers would have been able to pick them up as planned. But somehow this is our fault. Fortunately, we won't be needing a handbook for future reference. We will take our business to one of the many other groomers in the neighborhood. read more

Great experience working with a team of professionals. We brought our puppy at the level 1 and after graduation from a kindergarten school she knew so many commands and tricks that we could not believe it was her. All teachers have showed a high level of commitment to take our pet on a different level; Also they have provided loyalty and lots of patience to us, owners. We really loved it. We had a solid experience getting our dog groomed here. He's a Cavalier, and they charged $82.50 plus tax (seems ridiculous but I think this is the going rate in NYC). He also received a complimentary "trial" day of day care. I think the groom is excellent, one of the best he's had. They followed directions perfectly, and they called the next day to follow-up. It's hard to have a strong view on the day care, but, when I picked him up, I noticed there were a lot of dogs of all sizes in there with him...and unfortunately a much larger dog was humping him while the attendant had her back turned - he looked mortified. These things happen. The web site is very useful, and I like that they post pics online later in the day. At this point, we're going to stick with a dog walker. I would give 3.5 stars if I could, but I also need more experiences to have a firm conclusion. read more

I would give it zero stars if that was possible. I dropped my dog off this past weekend, I live in the area so from time to time I drop him off to be watched and play with the other dogs when I'm busy. I was heading back and looked through the window to check on my dog and saw the man mopping the floor actually mopped my dogs face three times with his dirty, wet broom and acted as if he didn't. I noticed when I went in that the dogs did not have water for them either. I was very upset about this and will not be bringing my dog back and hope others don't too. read more

I became increasingly dissatisfied with Bailey's previous daycare facility and was looking for a new daycare that would give the proper care and attention to my four legged friend and family member, Bailey while I was at work. I initially used Biscuits & Bath for grooming. Setting up the service was easy, and in doing so they noticed that our dog needed a couple of vaccinations. They arranged for the vet to get him the shots prior to the grooming. Could not have been easier. Great communication from the vet. Then I started using them for daycare. Again, the experience was really great for the dog and for me. Then I used them for overnight care. Could not have been better or more convenient.
