We couldn't be happier with the care Zeus gets at Biscuits & Bath on the Upper East Side. Zeus is a pit bull and not fixed, which can make finding boarding options difficult. We originally heard about this place from a friend in the city and decided to give it a try. Now, every time we travel, we make the trip all the way from Central Jersey just to bring him here. That alone should say how much we trust them. The staff truly loves Zeus. One of the things that means the most to us is that after the other dogs have gone to bed, they'll take him into the big play space and run around with him so he can burn off his energy. Zeus absolutely loves it and it really helps tire him out. We also get great updates with pictures, and sometimes we even spot him on their Instagram, which always makes our day when we're away. They walk him multiple times a day, and we know Zeus can be strong and a puller on the leash, but the team has always handled him confidently and with care. It's clear they understand dogs like Zeus and genuinely enjoy spending time with him. We're incredibly grateful to have found a place where he's safe, happy, and loved while we're away. Biscuits and Bath has been nothing short of amazing! From the very beginning, while I was just exploring daycare options, David was incredibly responsive and informative. He quickly hopped on a call, and that's when I knew this was the right fit. I was looking for a smooth transition for my boss's English Bulldog puppy--she had 24/7 care, and I wanted her to be around other dogs, socialize, and receive proper training. Bulldogs can be challenging, but David M. made everything possible. With my boss's busy schedule, having full support from Biscuits and Bath has been invaluable. They handle everything--vet services, grooming, walking, and even their convenient shuttle service for pick-up and drop-off. We started at the Park Ave location since it was close by, but two days a week she went to the Yorkville location, which has more space and larger dogs. Eventually, we fully transitioned to Yorkville, and the puppy couldn't be happier. She loves EVERYONE there! The trainers and staff are caring, professional, and genuinely loving--Ashley, in particular, is the sweetest! What I appreciate most is that no issue is too big for this team. David always finds solutions, even when the puppy is out of state or traveling. His care and commitment go above and beyond. If I could give them 1,000 stars, I would. Had a terrible experience on my last pet overnight stay. My dog Bella Rose, had bitten her way through her canvas harness. She actually chewed it on both sides until she was able to completely remove it. This is not an easy feat, it's a leather and canvas harness. How did this happen. How long she must have been in distress to do this? They are not to be put in the overnight crate with it on. It is only for walking. What actually happened they refused to say. Biscuits & Bath was recommended by a friend, and I really wanted to love this place because of how close it is to where I live. But ultimately, after boarding my dog here for the weekend, I won't be back. My first concern was that there are a LOT of dogs in their play area. In my experience, lots of dogs means lots of unvetted dogs, behavior-wise. And with larger numbers and less known history / less personal service in general, problems can happen. I was glad to see at both drop off and pick up that they have a good number of staff in the play area at all times. But that still doesn't mitigate crowded numbers. And I was bummed that a problem occurred while my dog was there -- a problem that will likely require a lot of training and work on my part to overcome going forward. But the real disappointment was in their billing. My dog is my world, and I have no shame in saying that. I would spend whatever necessary for her care. But Biscuits & Bath decided to close early on the day I was scheduled to pick up my dog, and I was then charged an extra $130 (regular overnight rate) for the additional night when I would have much rather picked up my dog as planned. I boarded my dog while I went out of town for the weekend and specifically chose this place because their timing and availability worked out for the 48 hours I would be gone. They texted me a mere two hours before closing early (at 1pm on a Sunday) -- not enough time for me to change my flight to get back in time. They cited a tropical storm, but when I arrived back in the city, there was only light rain. And after being gone for only 48 hours, my bill was nearly $500. The whole thing just left a bad taste in my mouth, and unfortunately we'll be going back to our (farther away) boarding facility that has more personalized care and honest billing. read more

I wasn't going to write a negative review, but your groomer earned it. Although I took my dog multiple times without an issue, I moved out of the city due to COVID and recently moved back. One of the reasons I chose my apartment was how close to B&B it is, which is something my partner and I were very excited about. We would use their grooming services, overnight, and vet services. This Saturday, we took our dog to get groomed as it was needed. Unfortunately, the groomer completely botched his haircut. She did not know how to groom a corgi, nor did she reach out to another groomer for advice on how to groom a corgi. If you weren't sure what you were doing, you have been honest with yourself and should never have touched my dog. Sanitary cuts are different on corgis. This groomer cut upwards into the actual coat on my dog and neglected even to say anything. Did you think that you were going to be able to hide it from me when I noticed it and think that I wouldn't complain? A good groomer knows never to touch a corgis SIDE with a razor unless asked to by the owner, and it's the dead of winter, so any owner would be out of their mind to ask such a thing. If I were a groomer, I would be ashamed to send back a dog to their owners looking like my dog does. It's atrocious. My dog had razor burn and two knicked nipples and didn't alert the vets on-site like she was supposed to. It brought me to tears to notice that this experience traumatized my poor dog. When I complained, they apologized and gave me a complimentary vet check-in. But, unfortunately, nothing your business can do will ever be able to make up for this experience. It was $150 down the drain on your groomer that she doesn't deserve. This is disgraceful. Feel free to refund the amount but not like it will bring back my dog's hair. So many chances to prevent an issue, but you did none of them. B&B will fix a problem with the grooming, but you can't replace the hair your careless groomer shaved off. Thanks to your inexperienced groomer with zero communication and accountability skills, I'm now looking into other services for my dog. read more

Definitely do not use Biscuits and Bath. After multiple visits and 3+ years, they have lost my business. I have taken my dog to UES and Sutton Place for grooming. At Sutton Place, I made sure to mention to the groomer not to shave her, only trim, as she is a double coat dog. I came back to my instructions ignored and a shaved dog. At UES, the groomer is incredibly rude. She roughly handled my dog right in front of me (picking her up first by the stomach, which knocked the wind out of her), then nearly knocked her head into the door frame when she turned quickly. She always makes snarky comments about the state of my dog's coat and is just incredibly unpleasant. Then this place has the nerve to charge over $300 for grooming, after what is consistently a suboptimal and poor experience. I've also seen walkers at the UES location walk dogs far ahead of the human and against the light, allowing for the very real risk of a car not seeing the dog and hitting the dog. From everything I see of Biscuits, no one there cares about your dog and their treatment at all - it is a cash grab. If you care about your dog and their treatment at all, don't bring them to Biscuits. There are plenty of other great spots in this city. Don't waste your money or your sanity trying this place out. Until my last grooming visit, I had been a customer for 3+ years and finally had enough of the groomer's horrible attitude, snide comments, and overpriced mediocrity. read more

Our dog was brought in for a grooming session and deshedding appointment. I got texts and calls, and was able to confirm my first appointment. In the instructions, I specifically wrote that because my dog was adopted and has very sensitive skin, they needed to use hypoallergenic products. They did not, and my pup started to shed more. Nicole admitted this over the phone. Minus two stars. We agreed to do a touch up as it was our first time time going there, as they did not deliver on expectations (or basic instructions). I asked for a text confirmation for our touch up appointment and it was received. I waited a week to call back because I wanted to be respectful of their time and other clients. I never received the text confirming our appointment so I figured they were very busy. My husband called Nicole to follow up and she was really nasty to him. This place is expensive, and we tipped on top of our bill. It was absolutely not worth it. Nicole pooped on my husband, who is really polite, for half an hour on the phone. She kept saying this call is over, this call is over, this call is over. Minus three stars for acting like a used car salesman pulling fishy tricks. The first and last time I will ever go to Biscuits & Baths for ANYTHING. I have 2 toy poodles that needed grooming. On the day of the grooming I needed to be able to pick them up late. I was told that I could do that at this location. The price of grooming was higher than what I was used to spending, but I was told that my second dog would be given 40% off on the grooming and if I boarded them overnight I would also receive 40% off. Great!! I told the groomer that one of the dogs had pom poms and I liked those, and the rest was just a regular poodle cut and I would pick them up the next day. The next day I called before I picked them up to ask how much the exact bill was. I was told it was over $600. WHAT?????? I knew that couldn't be right. I was told there were late fees and everything would be explained. I went in to get them and spoke to someone I met for the first time. She was not one of the people who checked my dogs in or gave me pricing. She NOW insisted that they never give 40% off on grooming or boarding. I explained that was not what I was told. The rudeness, the arrogance, and the insolence that followed was unbelievable. She actually called the police and they came. In addition, I always leave tips for the people working on the dogs. When the dogs came out, the one that had such cute pom poms were gone! I reduced the tip, but it was still quite adequate. Because I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I could I didn't really examine them as well as I should have. No one did their feet face or tail! They charged me for a grooming and they did NOTHING but take off my little dog's pom poms that I asked her to leave on! See the photos for yourself. Having tried to trim my dog myself, I appreciate how hard it is to get him to allow the groomer to finish the task and to finish bits like the feet and face. My dog always seems happy when I pick him up and he is (fairly) OK with being left for grooming... Staff is always nice and on the ball and they always remember my dog's name. We adopted our puppy Bailey two months ago and Biscuits & Bath is quickly becoming her second home! Whenever it's time to go there, she wags her tail and gets SUPER excited. Everyone at this location is so professional, organized and they truly care about the pups. I ask a million questions and all of the lovely people at the front desk are always so helpful to me. If you need training for your pup, go see Jonathan the dog whisperer! Bailey loves him and he has given her such a good beginning structure. Whatever your issue or concern is, he will be able to help. He is one of the most patient humans that I have ever met and you can tell that he genuinely loves his work with the dogs. We have also started to bring Bailey to daycare here and I would highly recommend this. It's good for socialization and all of the play is highly supervised by professional handlers. This is the most nickel and dime biggest rip off daycare in all of New York City. After paying them over 1500 a month ( yes 1500 a month ) they start charging me an extra $10 on top of that every time I pick my dog up past 7pm. They claim this charge is for "Evening Play Time" which is ironic considering every time I have picked my dog up past 7pm ( excuse me for actually having a job that doesn't operate from 9-5 ) he is boarded in the back and there are no dogs even on the play field. The only reason I went to this place was because it was the closest option for a dog of my size- I have a German Shepherd. In addition, I paid for my dog to get heel training classes which have barely produced minor results and I'm already $1000 in in regards to costs. It may have a large space but the place is a total ripoff and they don't do a good job of cleaning the place as I have had to give my dog a bath much more consistently ( which isn't good for his skin ) because of how much he smells like piss every time he gets home. The only helpful person they have on staff is Ileona but as nice as it was to finally connect with her after dealing with their incompetent staff it still doesn't make up for the fact that this place is just straight ripping people off. There are so many other options and choices out there. PLEASE stop supporting these types of establishments as they clearly think everyone should just be "okay" with paying exorbitant fees for minor customer service and cleanliness in return. I can never say enough about the team at Biscuits. We boarded our Cavalier King Charles "Trotter" for around 5 days in September while we took a trip to Virginia. Unfortunately, Trotter developed a fairly bad case of diarrhea while on Biscuits watch, but the staff was terrific. A visit to the vet was arranged, he was put on his anti-diarrhea medicine, and the crew even ordered in steamed chicken and rice for his dinner. Unbelievable! I was always kept informed of his progress, and even got a follow-up phone call from the vet. All services they offer are great especially transportation to and fro! read more

I just can't let my B&B go down like this. I've been withholding a review because I noticed several bad reviews and wanted to give myself some time to possibly experience this....hasn't happened yet. So B&B is not just for boarding and day care but they also take in puppies form the south and do adoptions. We adopted our new baby girl Nalaa from the B&B in Tribeca and worked with Karen through the customer service reps and she was great. We fostered her first and they gave us the food we needed and instructions along with first dibs on the dog we fostered in case people were interested. The adoption fee pays for a one year membership to the gym (I think that's $300) and one month of UNLIMITED daycare for free ($695). In addition, all of her vaccines were discounted (and then subsequently covered through our ASPCA insurance) and her vet visits at B&B were comped. We also opted to do puppy kindergarden at 50% off the normal price and every wednesday night the trainers are there on time, are extremely helpful friendly and patient. (There were FOUR trainers lasts night for only two dogs). The front desk staff has always been really friendly and helpful and they are very quick to learn the names of the dogs and their owners. Even if you don't take them up on some of their packages, you can bring your puppy in on a Monday night for free at 7pm to socialize with other puppies (this is at all of the locations). They take pictures of your dog and put up youtube videos during the day so you can check in on them as well. I know people may worry about their dog getting hurt at daycare but so far my Nalaa has been unscathed and that really has to do with the dogs temperament towards each other. They have a person who analyzes your dog on the first day so you can learn what their personality is like and how they will probably behave during daycare. The cost is high but its comparable to other dogrun places that I've inquired about and the fact that they do rescue dogs from southern pounds is a huge plus in my eyes. read more

My dog has been going to daycare at this location for 7-8 months. I LOVE this location. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I've heard stories of other locations constantly trying to up-sell clients to other packages (to the point of the client feeling frustrated or uncomfortable), and I've never felt pressured. It seems like they always have me and my dog's best interest in mind. That being said, it is quite a financial investment! I have gotten everything from monthly packages ranging from 10 days to 25 days per month, and I've done a-la-carte as well. In my experience it has been worth every penny. The facility has 3 separate rooms: one for tiny dogs, tiny puppies, or elderly dogs; one for really big dogs; and one for medium and small dogs. I have a small terrier/bichon mix and he goes to the medium room. It's great for him to socialize and it helps with his anxiety. Hours of the Upper East side are fantastic. I heard so much about this place over the years and wanted to give them a try with my two Maltipoo's. I set up two separate grooming appointments for my dogs only to have the same thing happen three weeks apart. The morning of the appointment I get a text at 7 am saying they need to cancel the appointments. Both appointments were confirmed the night before. I can see this happening once but twice! Makes you wonder about the other services they provide and how those are run. The manager at the UES location could care less about the inconvenience they have cause two times in three weeks. They have a cancelation policy with a fee but I guess it doest apply both ways. I will never use them again and I would not recommend them to any dog owner. We started sending our rescue dog, Gus, to Biscuits and Bath when he was about 6 months old. He was very anxious when he first came and the staff was so patient with him and B&B quickly became his second home! The staff treats him like their own and he is so excited when we take him to daycare! In addition, we have used B&B for overnight care and grooming and have had great experiences with both. The staff kindly updated us on Gus throughout his stay because they knew we were nervous. Amazing service from all of the staff members there! We have also been using Johnathan for Gus' anxiety issues and he has been an absolute lifesaver and miracle worker! Since starting training with Johnathan, Gus has improved leaps and bounds and is a much less anxious dog. He is so patient with both Gus and us and we are so thankful for his help!! Dog owners beware: I've been taking my rescue pup for the past 2.5 months, and recently he hasn't been wanting to go. I wasn't sure why, but there was incident today that led me to believe he was mistreated. When I went to pick up my dog, he came out of the back room where the kennels are, and he immediately vomited. It is very unusual that my dog vomits, he's only thrown up once since I've had him (his digestive issues manifest in other ways...). I was pretty alarmed so I had asked what happened but was unable to get a straight answer out of anyone. After about 15 minutes of pressing for answers, I was informed that he "attacked" a dog and was therefore put away. I was very surprised, as he is pretty shy and extremely friendly. Whenever I text during the day to check in on him, they tell me how sweet and friendly he is. I had asked for details on what happened but the manager was unable to provide me with any. I thought that was weird since they have video recording the entire place, all day. The only answer I got from them was that my dog was aggressive, which is feedback I have never received before, and which is a behavior I have never seen from him. I understand dogs get riled up sometimes and fights happen. I don't understand however, why I was never informed (when I frequently text throughout the day), and why no one was able to give me a straight answer. I would imagine that if my dog attacked a dog, I would receive a text stating what happened... I would have happily went and picked him up early. Because I rescued my dog, and he was formerly abused, he is very sensitive and gets anxiety when mistreated, which is why I believe they were not so gentle with him when removing him from the situation. It's very unusual that he vomits (and he has had some serious stomach issues), so I could tell he was very shaken up and his tail was in between his legs. This incident, coupled with his hesitancy to go inside the past couple of times leads me to believe there may be some not-so-nice handlers at the facility. For the price you have to pay, it's a completely waste and I would recommend owners to look into private dog sitting via Rover, or get recommendations from a friend. It's absurdly expensive for sub par care and shady behavior. I would not feel confident leaving my dog in this facility ever again. Perhaps they have other locations which are better, but definitely not this one. read more

The final straw for me was her last day at daycare when she returned home bleeding and had to be rushed to the vet for a stich from a dog bite that I was not even notified about. Ugh . . .I read lots of (bad) reviews about this place, but thought I'd see for myself. Well, see I did! Save yourself, and your dog, the trouble. More kudos to B & B. If you work away from your apartment and are not a fan of leaving your loved one home alone (and you shouldn't), then this is THE PLACE! It is so very important for dogs to socialize, not only with us humans, but with the pack as well. Worst experience ever, would not trust them with your dog. First of all, I would consider myself a very chill dog owner and not one to overreact over unavoidable situations - thing is, every complaint I had about this company was avoidable if they had an organized, professional approach to the business. All I'm going to do is list the facts: 1. They left my front door unlocked 2. Lost my keys 3. Added up to $500 of erroneous charges to my card i.e. Falsely charging us for late pick ups and feedings 4. Left my 12 week old puppy outside of his crate which was very unsafe given his history of swallowing/chewing anything in sight 5. Our puppy was bitten during daycare (normal/unavoidable) BUT they charged us for the vet visit and medication. 6. When we brought any of these issues to their attention we received the following answers: "not much we can do", "you just need to monitor your credit card" or no answer at all (sent 3 emails with zero responses) They couldn't of cared less until it came time for us to cancel our membership. I've had mixed experiences with Biscuits and Bath over the years - I've been using their services for about 3 years. I've had good experiences with puppy training and boarding, and less great experiences with the vet/grooming side of things. The pros: - A lot of the people who work there are great - JP the manager & Shandra the trainer are both really friendly and on top of things. - I always trust them to take good care of my dog while I'm away. - Puppy training for my dog was a really good experience. The cons: - They don't contact me when my dog needs a vet visit/her vaccine has expired. At least twice (including today), I called to get updated records for her to be boarded, and was told that her vaccine just expired a day or two ago (UGH!). They apparently sent my fiancee an e-mail, but that was after it had already expired. I really wish they would call and e-mail me a month in advance so we can prepare! Now, I'm in a situation where I can't board my dog and have to come up with a last minute plan. This could have been avoided! - About six months ago, my dog was groomed there, and her eye was damaged by the shampoo/scissors(I don't know which). Anyway, she had to be on medication for weeks and wear a cone. They gave us a slight discount, but I still had to pay about $200 because of their mistake. She still has discoloration in the eye. Everything there is really expensive, and I often don't feel that the quality matches the price. read more

I was charged almost $200 for my dogs bath....a bath. No haircut. He weighs 20 pounds. If I were you I'd go somewhere else where they don't sneak in Hidden fees. I was told a bath was like $90 and then was stuck with a bill of $183. RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!! Don't do it. read more

I have been taking my dog here for a few weeks now for daycare and I absolutely love it!!! He is always so excited when we enter the building, the staff are so kind, patient, and keep an excellent eye on the dogs at all time. I was very nervous the first time I took him here, it was his first time socializing with multiple dogs at once. The staff were very loving and patient as my dog acclimated and I felt he was in safe hands. 100% recommend! read more

I had always walked past this location of Biscuits & Bath and was blown away with the attentive staff and clean location. When we got our puppy, we chose to make her apart of the Biscuits & Bath family and have never been disappointed. All services we have received have been 5 star: from daily daycare, to walks, transportation and even boarding most recently. We were most blown away by the attentive care during our dog's VIP boarding for over a week. Thank you to this all-star team for their exceptional service and loving our dog as much as we do.
