***Please pardon the long review and note that this review is in regards to their GROOMING SERVICES ONLY.*** These times are almost exact. I have my phone log to prove it. I've taken both my dogs to play groups at the Murray Hill b&b location and was pretty happy with everything. My normal groomer cancelled on my last minute so I decided to call b&b to try out their grooming services. I was VERY pleased that they could fit me in the same day I called - even stating that the UES location was 'very open' in terms of availability. Note it was a Sunday, many places were either closed, had no availability, or didn't have a groomer on Sunday. I picked 11:30 am for my appt. time (I called them at 9:50 am). So far so good... I brought my dog in at 11:30 am as scheduled. Met the groomer and told her what cut I wanted. I asked the front desk person approx. how long, he said about 2-3 hours. Normal. I left and did my errands. About 2:35 pm I get a call saying my dog wouldn't be ready until for about another hour (3:30-3:35 pm). Okay that was fine with me and I'm glad they called to tell me. An hour later I show up (3:30 pm)...only to hear my dog STILL wasn't ready. I was completely frustrated at this point because I didn't live nearby and my dog had been with the groomers for 4 hours at this point. I decided to wait here until he was finished. I asked if the groomer had other dogs to groom that day....SHE DID NOT. MY DOG WAS THE ONLY DOG SHE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR....RIDICULOUS! I waited around for about 30 minutes. Finally my dog was done (4:00 pm)....and the grooming, while not horrific, was pretty bad. The legs were not rounded and pretty, the hair was longer than I wanted. The face/head area were uneven. Not what I requested or wanted at all. The groomer asked me how I liked it, I thought it was too long. She said she could fix it but I was very unhappy at that point and wanted to just go home so I said no. When I got home, my bf even said the dog barely looked groomed....and the fact that I paid $87.10 for half-assed job made me even more unhappy (I usually pay $65+tax+tip). If my dog came out looking pristine, I'd be a little happier...but of course that was not the case. --- Despite all this, I must give Biscuits & Bath SOME credit (esp. Andreas). I was first offered reward points to use on future services with B&B...but I told him I wouldn't bring my dog(s) back here again so I didn't really care for reward points. He later asked how I felt about my dog's grooming. I restated that I was extremely unhappy. We later spoke on the phone to try to resolve the issue. I was able to bring my dog back in so that another groomer could fix him up for free. But because I work until 5 pm everyday and the groomers usually finish at 5 pm, I was told I could bring my dog in the morning to get fixed up and he could stay there for an entire day for daycare while I worked (free of charge). The other groomer fixed my dog up and was great so I don't necessarily thing the UES Biscuits & Bath deserve 1 star. It seemed like an isolated incident that was nicely resolved. Andreas worked with me to resolve this issue and I was satisfied with the ending. Personally I am still hesitant to bring my dog back...just to avoid the slightest chance of this thing happening again. IF you still decide to come have your dog groomed here, I would stay away from the groomer on Sunday (I don't know her name). Ask for Zuley, she fixed my dog as best as she could. Terrible Customer Service! I walked in here one day with my 1 year old lab. There were about 4 people behind the front desk. Nobody greeted or even acknowledged me and i stood there as they continued to talk to each other. I finally announced that I would like to know about day care for my dog. One of the staff members asked what I want to know. Frustrated already, I said I didn't know anything about doggie daycare and I would like to know my options. She came around and took out a pamphlet and started babbling about memberships and ID cards and prices. She didn't bother to ask me anything about my schedule or what my needs would be. When I asked a specific question she directed me to the Manager who had been standing there the whole time. The first thing the manager asked me was if I "registered" through the web site. I said "no I was just walking by and stopped in." She told me to go home and register on their web site, call and then they will answer any questions that I have. Huh? I'm standing there, I have a large, sweet, energetic dog. Do you want my business? Obviously not! The one plus was a groomer named Robin came out and started chatting with me. She was very warm and friendly to me and my dog. The other people there are cold and I would never leave my dog in their care. read more

My puppy absolutely loves this place! The staff is amazing; caring, gentle and loving. They really pay attention to detail. I feel completely at peace knowing my pup is safe during the day while we are at work. Also, Dr. Mortsakis (the veterinarian) is AMAZING. While I'm not one to write reviews, I felt compelled to do so given how great Biscuits and Bath were to me. I needed to take my dog Emmy from the US to the UK, which required a TON of paperwork, a TON of deadlines for when to get vaccines, details on where to get paperwork to, and who needs to sign off. Wow. I was SO impressed by how helpful, kind and generous the B&B team was in making sure we got all of Emmy's paperwork right. Seriously, don't! I put my dog here once for one night. The staff was actually nice and the place seems fine (but it stinks!). HOWEVER; 1) They do not keep you updated as they should. I got one picture through the whole day. 2) They painted a very pink picture about the dog happiness' that was not true. The dog did not play with other dogs and did not eat for 24 hr, which is something an owner should know about. 3) They have a practice which I call 'if you don't argue'. They will basically try to charge you on many unnecessary services and fees, hoping the customer will not argue. They tried to convince me my dog NEEDS a shot, though a simple counting would have a revealed he shouldn't, and they tried to charge me $50 for late check-out even though I waited for them to open up, and still picked the dog 30 minutes before time. I will go with one of the more independent and personal dog care next time. read more

I recently brought my 2 yr old Bouvier to Biscuits & Bath for grooming. I have brought Chloe several places to be groomed in NY and have never had a bad experience. Biscuits & Bath BUTCHERED my poor dog. I have photos that show holes all the way through her fur and she is bleeding. My husband took her in to be seen, and the manager was very clear that he would not refund our money - but offered a free grooming. Are they out of their minds? I intend to dispute this charge on my credit card and bring them to small claims court. Chloe is very upset and out of sorts since this incident. When I called again, I told them I have a friend who is a reporter at The Post and I would be forwarding the pictures - and they hung up on me. Don't EVER entrust your dog to this despicable place. Update: Day 3 Spoke with Dave Maher who assured me that B&B did look after Lightning and at no time did he display any symptoms in their care. We agreed to disagree on this point. Dave acknowledged our frustration and was sorry for the way that the matter had been handled. Dave offered to not charge for the boarding as compensation. Dave was very helpful and understanding. Update: Day 2 no call back from the manager JP Warning B&B boarding can be unhealthy for your dog. My dog was returned to me today with an obvious problem with his right eye. Shocking of course, if you consider for five days we received nothing but glowing reports of his happiness and good health. Had him washed and groomed prior to being dropped off, and no one noticed his eye, which took us all of a second to see something was wrong. Took him to the vet, conjunctivitis and a scratched cornea. Cannot get anyone of any importance or authority on the phone. 3 hours now no call back. Do not board your dog. The reports are useless. I do not believe anyone actually is checking on your dog. . read more

We had our little Yorkie Stella stay here during the 4th of July weekend. Well we had absolutely no need to worry about her because she was so well taken care of! Stella is timid but thanks to B&B, she started coming out of her shell. The staff there took such good care of her and called us every day to give us an update. They also uploaded photos so that we could see her. For 24-hr care or daycare, this is a great place for your pup. I'm a huge fan of B&B and although it's pricey, it's worth every penny. Their locations are clean and the staff so nice and you know that your pup is safe and having fun. read more

We adopted our pup Kylo Ren ten months ago and Biscuits and Bath was the best thing to ever happen to us. Kylo is a high energy, wild spirit with no off button and the amazing staff at Biscuits were able to bring out the best in him and teach us how to bring out the best in him. Kylo sees Johnathan for training and has come such a long way in the ten months he's been working with Johnathan. Johnathan has also kept us absolutely sane and taught us how to better work with Kylo. The entire staff is truly amazing and we joke that Biscuits is truly Kylo's favorite place since he always gleefully runs into the waiting arms of Helen, Triszha or Caisey when we he drop him off for daycare. When we've had to travel and couldn't take Kylo with us, I had a complete peace of mind knowing Kylo was boarded at Biscuits and was getting plenty of attention and love and received daily text updates on how he was doing and how he was eating. . I truly cannot say enough good things about them and if you are looking for day care, grooming, or training for your pup look no further. read more

Best overnight & doggie daycare my dogs have experienced!! I have now taken my dogs to both overnight care and daycare at both UES locations and have received the best service, well beyond what I expected. Let me start by explaining that I have a Pitbull and a mutt. Most places in the area look down on you for owning anything not designer toy breed, especially a Pitbull! Biscuits and bath graciously accepted both dogs. Because of the breed, I am sure that they wanted to take extra precautions at first to ensure that he is safe to have with the pack. On their first time, they spent much of the day with one of the main trainers for them to make sure that my dogs will fit in with the open play group. A couple hours later, the trainer called to give me a "prognosis" that my dogs passed her tests and can play with the group. They post pictures throughout the day of your dogs playing and sunbathing and are polite enough to not make you feel crazy for calling ever 15 minutes. I recently ran into one of the managers from biscuits and bath at a restaurant and she remembered my dog and their first experience. It was great that my dogs were remembered by someone who comes across probably 100 dogs a day. Real service! My dogs enjoy amount of activity at B&B and I like the structured day with the polite and professional staff. The price is comparable to others in the area but the service with off the charts! I would highly recommend Biscuits and Bath to anyone looking into a way to socialize their dogs and keep them active without the time. read more

We absolutely love Biscuits and Bath. As new puppy owners, they have helped us every step of the way. Our baby is now 3.5 months old and thriving in B&B. She knows the way there and runs down the block and down the ramp. Mind you she is a little Frenchie that hates to walk. She does daycare almost daily and on the weekends we drop her off for a little while just to play because it's so much cleaner than a doggy park. Everyone there knows my pup and tells us how things went when we pick her up. I usually come by and catch someone on the play field holding her and giving her love. When she was a little younger she would get cold so they would take her out and warm her up under their sweaters. They know everyone's temperament and who gets along with which dogs and will make adjustments accordingly. We also use their trainers and vets and everyone is very caring, knowledgable and available. The unlimited daycare ends up costing less than most dog walkers with the bonus of including weekends. I can't imagine my pup sitting home alone bored all day when she could be there socializing with both humans and dogs. I can't believe the previous negative reviews. My boyfriend is a harsh critic and even he has nothing but great things to say about B&B. They really are my puppy's second family. read more

I recently moved to NY from Brazil, and was super worried about leaving my dog alone all day since she was used to be with my sister's dog all the time. I went to B&B and loved it but I had the feeling it was a little expensive. I gave it a try since they offered me a three-day free trial and it surprised me in a way that I could not let go! The staff at the Midtown Location (3rd Ave btw 61 and 62) is incredibly nice and polite, they always tell me funny things about my dog and what did she do during the day. With regard to the 24-hour day care, I left my dog once for a weekend and she came back perfectly fine, and I received updates from them during the time she was there. Making a long story short, extremely good service. And this is why it might seem expensive at first, but I swear that every pennie worth it! read more

Review is reflective of grooming services only. Will not use again. Took my 7-month old puppy here for some light grooming. He's still growing out his full coat, and with winter coming we didn't want a haircut. The ask was: bath, sanitary groom (rear end and privates), teeth cleaning, ear cleaning, gland expression, nail trim, and trim between his paw pads. 1) When I went to pick him up he came sprinting over and hid between my legs. He never does this, but he also doesn't like baths, so standing up in the bathing noose was probably not his idea of a fun Saturday afternoon. Minor, probably nothing. 2) B&B advertises a 20% discount for puppies under 8 months. Apparently the nail trim, ear cleaning, gland expression, and teeth cleaning are "spa services" and not subject to the discount. Fine, that's probably written somewhere, although it would have been nice if a human made sure I understood up front. 3) When I got him home we noticed his paws hadn't been trimmed. This is a big deal, especially for city dogs, as all kinds of things can get stuck in the fur between their toes, and hair covering the pads makes them slide on wood floors. 4) We looked in his ears and they hadn't been cleaned. We spend a few minutes cleaning his ears and swear this place off. To be fair he was bathed, sanitary and nails trimmed, and teeth cleaned. There are a variety of other little things I excused at the time but in retrospect it just makes the place feel sloppy. - I wasn't presented with detailed charges until after my card had been run, and when I asked for a receipt it was obviously a production to print out. This feels like the kind of place where you leave a card on file and just pay whatever they want to charge you. - We listed out what we wanted done to the groomer, but she didn't indicate that she understood all of them. Clearly she missed/forgot several. - The invoice didn't list the sanitary trim, although it was performed, didn't list the pad trim, which wasn't performed, and did list the ear cleaning, which wasn't performed. - The front desk staff wasn't engaged at all, other than to call the groomer and run my card. This may be a lovely doggie day care/spa/etc. I saw several other customers bring in their dogs for day care greeted by name. My guess is the groomer is an independent contractor and is probably a push on profitability for the brick and mortar operation. I won't be bringing my dog back here for grooming and will not recommend them to others for grooming either. read more

I would seriously consider sending your dog to a different day care centre. Although the staff are very friendly they failed to listen to several of my requests. One request was: Please could you not lock my dog in a kennel in the back room? I would have thought considering this was a 'cage-free' dog centre the dogs would have been, well, cage-free. Apparently not. They promised to walk my dog each day, another request that fell on deaf ears. We now have our dog in a much better, cleaner and far more professional doggy day care in the UES. The rooms are tiny for the amount of dogs in them and like I mentioned previously, when I went to collect my dog several times he was not on the play field but locked in a kennel in the back room, amongst many other dogs barking loudly. He seemed petrified. I really think you can find a more responsible and caring day care centre for your money. Since moving day care centre I have spoke to several other dog owners that moved their dogs for the same reasons. This establishment cares more about making a profit than your dogs welfare. Your dog deserves better. read more

Biscuits & Bath has been great for our dog since day 1. When our dog was a puppy, we used B&B for puppy sitting, grooming and training classes. The trainer was great. The class was relatively small and we got a lot of 1-on-1 attention from the trainer. Molly loved going to the class and enjoyed playing with all of the people and dogs there. I would definitely recommend the puppy kindergarten class. It gave our puppy the ability to socialize at an early age which we think has helped her be good with all people and dogs as she got older. Until Molly was 16 weeks, we had someone from B&B come to our apt two times a day to play with her since she didn't have all of her shots. The dog walkers were very dependable and prompt and Molly seemed well taken care of. Once we were able to graduate to daycare, we have always been quite satisfied with it. Molly seems very happy to go everyday and she comes home tired and happy. One of the things that we love most about B&B is that when our dog is sick we can have B&B come and walk her two times a day rather than send her to daycare. This has been very helpful since my husband and I work long hours and we have been able to call last minute and get Molly walked if she is not feeling well. The groomer at the UES location is wonderful. She does a great job, has plenty of availability and the prices are very reasonable. We would (and have) recommend B&B to our friends. read more

We have taken our puppy to Biscuits and Bath for one month now on their puppy promotion. At first we were unsure if daycare was right for our puppy, but all of our doubts were gone once we saw how happy he was there. As soon as we walk in the staff greet him by his first name and he is clearly excited to be there. No sooner do I give the leash over, he pulls them over to the door leading to the play room to be able to join all the other dogs. The facility is kept extremely clean and the staff seems very attentive to the all the dogs. We even received a video from Biscuits and Bath where they filmed our pup playing with another dog. The cost of the daycare is expensive, but they are more than willing to talk with you about the different packages they offer and find something that you can work with. I was on the phone for over an hour going over various options and ways to save money on the packages. It was really nice that they were willing to spend that kind of time with me to make sure that I was happy and that we were getting the right package for our budget. It is still expensive, but worth the money. Some of the less expensive days care places that we looked into put your dog in a small back room with no vet supervision and limited staff--it is not worth saving the extra money. We are very happy with Biscuits and Bath, it gives our pup the freedom to play and socialize as well as provides us with peace of mind that while we are at work or away for the day, our dog is being looked after and is well taken care of. read more

Biscuits & Bath UES: My vet told me not to take my dog here, and my vet was right! Biscuits & Bath is negligent, at best. I left my dog while I was on a business trip to LA for three days. When I arrived at Biscuits & Bath, I told the representative on duty that my dog had a free boarding pass for the stay. She said that she was aware and that my dog would be fine. During my trip, I received several calls in a five hour period: one stating that my dog's vaccines were not up to date and that my dog would be walked home. Then I received a message that my dog wasn't there. When the flight landed in LA, I called Biscuits & Bath, and the receptionist said that she was unaware of the phone calls and that my dog was up to date on his vaccines and was fine. When I returned to NYC, the receptionist charged me for the full stay. I explained, again, that my dog had a free pass. She then told me that I would have to pay, if I wanted my dog. (Ransom?) She told me she would talk to the owner, John Zeigler, on my behalf and would call me. I waited two days, and then I went to Biscuits & Bath and asked to speak to Mr. Zeigler. Both he and the representative were not available. I was reassured by this representative that I would be called at noon. I never received a call. I emailed Mr. Zeigler and the other personnel involved. The response I received was nasty. They called the previous owner of Biscuits & Bath (who gave me the pass) and asked the previous owner to pay for my personal bill without my knowledge or consent. UNCLE! The staff does NOT care about anything but making a profit and protecting Mr. Zeigler, whom one never sees. It's a living nightmare in technicolor...The Wizard of Oz gone haywire! If you bring our dog here, don't forget to bring your green-colored glasses, because appearance is not reality. And, your dog will not be treated like Toto. I now have a private dog-sitter for my dog. read more

My dog often goes here for grooming and vet visits. It seems a bit pricey, but we've always had a good experience. It's so convenient to drop your pup for a few hours and come back to a clean, happy dog, who's all caught up on shots with a good bill of health. read more

Their grooming was way expensive and petco on 86th did a better job bathing her for less money. Also she went to daycare one day and came home with kennel cough two days later. I really want to like this place but bang for buck I think you can find something better. read more

I had thought about enrolling my dog into day care there, so I went to the free Thursday play night to see what the place was like and I will never go back there again. All the dogs were playing well. I was there for 5 minutes and a couple brought in their dog which started attacking all the dogs, very aggressively "playing." It knocked dogs down and started bitting them, including the guy who was sitting next to me foot. Their dog went after an 8 week old puppy and the trainer in the room blamed the puppy. The trainer or the own of this dog did nothing about the dog's behavior. If anything the trainer encouraged the behavior. No dogs were even able to play or leave their owners because they were attached by the dog as soon as they tried to leave their owners. My dog by this time was on my lap shaking and heart racing. I stayed for a few more minutes thinking the trainer would do something or ask them to leave which she didn't. When I was leaving the girl at the front desk said "oh, you are leaving so soon." I explained about the other dog and she said that was a new client. So I guess if you pay they will let your dog do anything. I can not imagine what goes on there when the owners are not around. I will never leave my dog there and never go back to play night. NEVER AGAIN!! read more

For anyone looking for a daycare in NYC, I highly recommend Biscuits & Bath!! I have been bringing my dog there for over 9 years and after exploring other day cares; I found that there is no place as clean, as friendly, and as transparent. The customer service is really amazing. When you call in your profile pulls up automatically now and you're treated in a very personable manner. Every location of B&B has an open track for the dogs to play on and every 3 to 4 hours the dogs get a relief walk. No matter what blogs you read about B&B; you owe it to your dog to check it out yourself. They will love you for it. Trust me :) read more

Everything about the way they handle the scheduling of appointments, to the follow-up afterwards is excellent. I always feel my dogs are in great hands when I bring them to Biscuits and Bath. B&B is WONDERFUL! I have a new puppy and they have provided me with great support to get through these first few weeks I could not have done this without them. If you've ever potty trained a puppy you know what a big job it is. Illiana and Amy are so great they have answered my many questions and really take the time to listen and put me at ease. Liz the trainer is very knowledgeable and I feel confident that Max will soon be trained to listen to commands and go outside instead of on the wee wee pads. The puppy play group on thurs night is also great. It's indoors so in bad weather it's ideal. read more

My puppy took kindergarten classes with Erica Wittenberg in the Upper East side location of Biscuits and Bath. Erica and the rest of the staff at B&B were very professional and helpful. Erica was always helping us improved on the techniques and in addressing any issues we encounter with our pup. Overall, a great place to bring your dog for training and socialization. We will be returning early next year for Advance obedience training. read more

To say that I'm hands on with my dog is an understatement. I don't trust anyone with him and treat him as if he was my only child. Biscuits and bath has turned into a second family for me and him. I'm not worried when I leave him there, I know he is in good hands. My dog has epilepsy and they monitor him, administer his medicine and have a vet on hand at all times in case god forbid anything goes wrong. I've seen other doggie day care places in the neighborhood and they don't even compare. The dogs are always watched here, the play area is large and clean the eating area is well maintained. The staff is always helpful and is lead by great management. It's hard having a dog and living in Manhattan, but they make it easier. Well worth every penny!!! read more

I had seen questionable reviews but the staff at the UES B&B seemed really nice and helpful so I wanted to try my sweet new rescue dog there. I was using B&B for day care and had specifically asked how late I could pick up my dog because I have work events a couple times a week. I was told I could come anytime but would be charged an extra $7 an hour after 7 pm. Fine, no big deal. Fast forward to tonight. At 9 pm (finishing up a work event) I was called and told by B&B I couldn't get my dog and had to board her. What?! At no time was I told this was the policy and I had ASKED about this. The customer service is appalling!!!! I'm sorry, but you do not call me and tell me that I can't get my dog after I've been told it's no problem. That's not how you do business. I am no longer bringing my dog here. She and I deserve better--and trust me, so does your dog. read more

Puppyhood through Old Age - Biscuits & Bath is the place to care for your dogs. When Biscuits & Bath opened on the Upper East Side, I had an older dog. I brought her to B&B for daycare and as she got older, and was no longer able, or interested, in playing, I used their dog walking services. As she became too old to enjoy long walks, the dog walkers would come to walk her, and if she did not want to go out, they would stay in my apartment and cuddle with her. All of the B&B people were very kind and respectful to her. A great comfort, since I could not be at home with her. Some months after she passed at 16 years old, I adopted a rescue puppy. Before she was able to go out, someone from B&B would come over every day to play with her and clean up after her. As soon as she had all her shots and could socialize, she started going to B&B daycare, and I had her trained there as well. Made it very easy for me to enjoy having a puppy as anyone who has had a puppy knows, they have boundless energy and training can be very exhausting and time consuming. My girl would come home played out and well behaved. About two years later, I adopted a rescue from B&B, and went though the same scenario with her. Really made it easy and fun to have puppies, as B&B took care of the first few months at home, the training and exercising, and daycare/overnights thereafter. The convenience of vet and grooming services on site, as well as overnight care, rounds out the perfect "one stop shopping" for all of my girls needs. I really appreciate the holistic approach they have to dog care, and they pick up and deliver, so I never have to worry about taking time off from work to get them to and from appointments. I travel quite a bit and work long hours, and have always had great comfort knowing that my dogs, at every stage of their lives, and whatever their needs might be, have been able to get great care in an environment where they are happy and safe and that is familiar to them 24 hours a day. Everyone that I have come in contact with who has worked at B&B over the many years I have been a customer really seems to love dogs and they always know my dogs by name when I see them out in the street. This place is truly my dogs home away from home. read more

I strongly agree with the other low star reviews. They take your money. They don't change the daily treatment of the dog as relates to our suggestions, concerns & vet health issues. At times they didn't know where are dog was. He got sick there twice with severe kennel cough type symptoms which he is vaccinated against. When we would pick him up he would be in back on time out for either excessive humping, which we have never seen him do anywhere even dog parks, or from getting dirty from poop; how I ask. Plenty of lip service but no real customer service or true dog care. So I paid for 2 months of doggy day care - had to keep him out 1 week 1 month & 2 weeks the next month, pay my vet bills, pay a dog walker and get no consideration from B & B. During August 17-23 2017 we left our precious doggies at this site. Why we picked this place after doing our homework, well, It's spacious area, blue floors, lots of windows and friendly staff. We were told to check pictures on Instagram. Not having an account we immediately signed up to view pics. The first two days no pics. We called while on vacation still no pics. The third day we got one pic via email. No more pics. After five days of a beautiful family vacation we picked up our girls and the nightmare began. Mocca, our beautiful fur baby was coughing and gagging. Never experienced this behavior we called Biscuits & Bath and were told it could be a viral thing they can get from other animals. She slowly became weak, no appetite. Mocca has never been sick. We called this site concerned and all we got from the front desk lady was "I am sorry but we cannot see your dog today bec the vet is busy. She'd put us on hold & repeated "I am sorry.' We asked if there was a possibility we could bring her in the following morning and of course were told "sorry but the vet is booked" and recommended we bring her to our vet. How does this happen if all the dogs are vaccinated. Never got a phone call to see how she was doing or asked anything. I do remember when we first were inquiring i noticed and heard one of the ladies whispering over the phone 'I am sorry...' Never thinking this would happen to us! We brought her to our vet a few days later and were advised to keep our fur babies in separate rooms to avoid another sick doggie. She was put on med's right away. Guess what, the next day our vets office called to check on Mocca. Within a few days Moo Moo began the gagging symptoms. This was a nightmare!! To think we paid $1100. for two doggies for 5 days to Biscuits & Bath on 1535 First Ave (80th St) NYC NY and in return we almost lost our precious girl and the treatment was unbelievable, very unprofessional and uncaring. Don't trust this place!! If anyone can share what our rights are in terms of legal action we will appreciate it. Our email is glendaleduque@gmail.com. This place is wonderful. It is my dog's second home. He loves coming here and is always treated so carefully. From grooming, to puppy playgroup and training, B&B has it all. Dr. Mortsakis is the best Vet! The whole staff is so attentive and caters to your every need. I am grateful that my dog has them to watch over him. read more

In short after a two night stay my dog has walked away sick and hurt. After going to the animal hospital we found out that he had a sprained front leg and he had to get his stomach pumped from not going to the bathroom for two days. Please avoid at all costs. read more

I have been bringing Henry, my one-year old mixed breed, to Biscuits and Bath (UES) for both training and daycare ever since I adopted him a few months ago. We've been taking private training lessons with Erica Wittenberg and she's amazing. Henry was new to the city when I adopted him and he had a lot of anxiety whenever I took him outside. Luckily he responded to Erica's enthusiasm and gentle methods right away. He's much more confident now and loves being outside, I still can't believe how quickly he progressed. We've also worked with Erica on house-training, basic obedience and leash walking. Erica is incredibly patient and has lots of great ideas, plus Henry loves her. Her positive training methods really work, I would absolutely recommend her to anyone! Henry also really loves going to daycare at Biscuits & Bath. He has a great time playing with the other dogs but I honestly think he loves the people there even more. Whenever I drop him off he insists on running up to each of the handlers in the room to say hello before he will greet a single dog. Occasionally we will run into one of the walkers or handlers out in the neighborhood and Henry gets so excited to see them! Biscuits and Bath has been great for him. read more

I've taken my dogs to Biscuits and Bath Upper East Side location since I moved to NYC in early 2009. Simply put, I would not have been able to have my dogs in the city with me if I hadn't been able to turn to B&B, specially during the first years when my schedule and workload were really crazy. Over the years I've relied on them for day care, walks, grooming and their on-site vets (also great; down to earth and USDA certified which is great if you need to travel abroad with your dog). They have been consistent in the care they provide and in helping me make the arrangements for it. The great thing about this B&B location, apart from the location itself (which is pretty great), are the people who work there. They are nice, helpful and the LIKE dogs! From day one, I've always been able to talk to the people taking care of my dogs, be it to organize drop offs, walks, vet appointments, change arrangements, or just to check on how they were doing. Since Biscuits and Bath is a big operation, at the beginning I didn't expect more than for my dogs to be OK and not to have to be alone at the apartment all day,so every time I called I would start to explain who I was and where my dog was, etc., but just a few weeks after I started taking my first dog there, I noticed I didn't even have to; I'd just say my dog's name and my last name and they know perfectly who I was. I greatly value that they take the responsibility of caring for my dog seriously. Once one of the walkers went to pick up my dog for a walk and found her lethargic, they gave me a call and he ended up taking her to the vet (not even their on-site vet) because I couldn't get away from work. Bottom line: B&B is good and convenient, especially if you have a demanding job. But the main reason I keep turning to them for daycare and walks is that my dogs have loved going there and get extremely excited and happy when we run into people who work there around the neighborhood. I try not to write negative reviews on Yelp* but, in this case, I have to. I left my baby girl chihuahua, Fawn, at B&B when I had to leave the city for business. When I called to check in on Fawn, the staff had to look for her. I had to talk to several caretakers, one of whom told me that Fawn wasn't eating. I told them to please try another food. They sent me a one-second video of Fawn looking absolutely terrified. All of the charges on my bill were either inflated or fabricated. This place does not have a humane vibe. Even my vet hates it. My vet set me up with alternative dog-sitting services: dog-sitters who are willing to stay in your apartment with your dog. read more

I really wanted to like this place because there really aren't many options for my bigger dog in the city. The staff is friendly and responsive. The facilities could be cleaner. The biggest reason for the two stars in the price. I know it is expensive for daycare/boarding in the city. My problem is that every time my dog went, there were always some extra costs that were added on at the end, making an already expensive event even more so. If the prices were as advertised I would not have been so irritated. read more

The staff here is very welcoming and caring. A major bonus is that there is an onsite vet, run by incredibly forthcoming and warm professionals. Our little guy got sick one night and was treated first thing the next morning. The lack of hassle was seriously comforting. Everything is incredibly well organized, clean, and safe.
