Very disappointed in quality of food. Biscuits were dry, gravy tasteless and floury. No interested in returning.

Was visiting the area and stopped in for lunch. It was busy, so me and my coworkers sat at the bar. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and fries. The sandwich was huge huge and tasty, but the fries had seen better days. They were soggy and cold. A pet peeve of mine when dining out is a dirty menu and not only was my menu dirty, but the mini kiosk advertising a reward program was filthy with grime. I wished I had not touched it. My silverware was wrapped in a napkin and when I rolled it was stained with water spots. Also a pet peeve of mine. Who wants to eat from spotty utensils? Oddly, I keep overhearing staff members grumbling about various things as they passed by. I got the impression it might not be the best place to work. This might explain why the staff doesn't pay attention to the little things that really matter, like cleanliness. I would probably give the place a 2.5 instead of a 3. read more

Over 45 minute wait and when food arrived bacon, links and eggs were cold. Went without drink refills for most of the wait. Poorly run staff and management. Hard to mess up quality in breakfast, but this placed managed to do so. Staff is rude and overall, place seems trashy. Asked for my links to be re-heated, but choose not to eat for fear that they had been "tampered" with. That's they vibe you get from staff. read more

Terrible. They didn't even clean the tables, floor or chairs. My table was sticky with syrup residue and all over the floor was old food from other guests and straw wrappers. Not following COVID precautions at all. My table was uneven and wobbly. I was basically touching another person because the tables are so small and so close to another table. They need to hire more staff, and the staff they have need to act like they slightly care about their job. The ladies at the front acted like they didn't know how to take a to go order over the phone, so I had to go inside. The wait is extremely long and you will literally have damn near the whole staff walk past you before you are acknowledged. read more

Staff could not figure out seating for 4 plus baby with seating in plain view of us. The family of five infront of us was taken to the patio that was completely empty with multiple large tables prior to us and we were told the patio was closed. We were told 45 minutes or longer. It was clean. Table wait they said 15-20 minutes, was called just under 15, that was good. Kristina was our wait person, as I watched her work she was waitress, bartender, food server, manager, trainer, buser, generally doing it All with a great attitude, a smile, and a song. Now the food - less than expected, my sandwich was supposed to have avocado on it- a smear of guacamole is not the same. My friends Rueben sandwich had no sauerkraut! It was over 45 minutes from offering to delivery of food. The fries were overcooked and barely warm. Had to ask three times for a side of ranch. Can't say enough good about Kristina, The rest? Just tried Biscuit Cafe on Thunderbird and if I could have given them 1/2 star I would have. To start out it took quite a bit of time for our server to come to our table for our beverage order. My companion ordered a medium size latte, but was served a small. And then take our lunch order. I ordered the bacon/cheese burger with onion rings and my companion ordered the chicken burger with no bun. When our order arrived, the chicken burger was missing the avocado and the bacon, so we had to wait of those items to be brought out. My burger was pretty tasteless and very dry, the onion rings were over cooked. I've had better burgers from fast food places. When we went to pay, the cashier wouldn't take our word that we were served a small latte instead of a medium and my plate was missing bacon, she had to call the server over. Very over priced for the quality (or lack of quality) received! Needless to say, we will not be going back. read more

We've been here several times and I have no idea how there are negative reviews. The Southwest Delight Scramble is awesome with delicious chorizo and bell peppers. The red potatoes were crispy and plentiful. The biscuits and gravy are tasty together. My husband got eggs over easy which he said were good with crispy hash browns that he says are the best he's had. The portions are larger that either of us can finish. People who are complaining about price might consider making their own breakfast at home. Biscuits is solid food for a fair price with an efficient waitstaff. read more

Came to Biscuits Cafe for lunch and had the Friday Fish Combo. My husband had the Chicken sandwich. Fish was lightly battered and delicious. The Clam Chowder tasted like gravy with some crab in it. My husband said his chicken sandwich was good. Basically the food is good however, the service is a lot to be desired. Staff seems to be a little laid-back. We were seated right away but at a table that had jelly all over it. Asked our waiter three times for a rag to clean it up. Asked for silverware a couple of times before we took it off another table and then brought it to us. Our waiter was nice but seemed very flustered and not sure of what he was doing. I noticed other customers in his section were having to ask a couple times before receiving refills etc. The setup to check out was in the way of the front doors which makes it hard for incoming customers to get through. Went there for a belated birthday meal for my wife from her son as he and his wife eat there often, my wife liked the food and she can be picky, the portions are good size. I had the hash which is kind of weird it was more like heated up pot roast with chunks of red potatoes mixed in it, but my eggs were done right but wish the hash browns would have had more crisp as I ordered them to be, and the coffee was also on point. I have a new pet rock, though I think it's supposed to be a biscuit. Was so looking forward to a good biscuit so figured I'd get one at a place named Biscuits, but my hopes were dashed. They were smaller and had the appearance like a cross between a roll and a drop biscuit with the same brown all over, not the browner top and bottom and paler sides with exposed visible striations evident when a sharp biscuit cutter exposes visible striations, promising soft flakiness within. My friend's biscuit, although smothered in gravy, remained tough enough to require he wield the serrated knife! His two eggs over easy had lots of slimey uncooked egg whites and he said his sausage patties were nondescript. Lots of variety on the menu, esp. for Benedicts, and even sweet potato pancakes, but I wanted biscuits and what would best showcase them so I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak (size of thin hamburger patty--okay with a crisp coating but with floury pasty tasting gravy rather than the tasty sausage and pepper flavor for which I'd hoped) with 2 over medium eggs (perfect), hash browns (I asked for them to be crispy and when they came out they looked fine, but the underside was actually burnt and tasted like some kind of old grease or overheated pan spray), and 2 biscuits with disposable plastic cups (please stop with the single use disposables!) homemade jelly (nice to not have those prepackaged packets that are the norm everywhere). I took my second biscuit home-- not to eat it but use it as a focal point in my rock garden. May Biscuits Cafe again, but certainly not for their namesake, and with a $30 breakfast bill (and only one of us had a drink), I'd need a good coupon incentive too.... read more

My boyfriend stoked me up on this place, and it was such a let down. I'm not a breakfast person, but I do love me some eggs benedict. Finally decided which to go with after ten minutes of hungrily contemplating, placed an order to go online and was on my way soon after. They gave me the order and said "for Brian?" My names Brianna. Been here many times for breakfast on the weekend. Every other time great service, accurate order taking, timely food that tastes delicious. Today, all but one of those were a miss. Breakfast took an hour + today from the time we sat down. We had to wave down our waitperson for a coffee refill while waiting 45 min for food to come and then could only succeed once in getting a refill. When our food came, the orders were wrong and missing things that were supposed to be included. Food was tasty so that kept it from a total disaster. I'm hoping it was just a bad day. If you're going to put Eggs Benedict on your menu, then you have to be able to make it. The eggs yolks looked hard boiled and the hollandaise was splitting. The menu states that a banana is in the pancake itself as well as on top when you order banana pancakes. There was no taste of banana at all whatsoever in the pancake. We also ordered eggs Benedict with avocado. Figured the avocado was also on the muffin and it was not. The hollandaise sauce was not to our liking as well as the hash browns were plentiful, however, had no flavor whatsoever. I have frequented the other biscuits location on 67th ave and could not wait for this location to open, being much closer to home. We checked in for Sunday brunch and actually got seated fairly quickly, within 10 minutes! We were greeted with smiles and a friendly staff, when we were sat our waitress came up fairly quickly to get our drink order. Everything was moving along fairly smooth...I was, as well as my wife, able to notice the staff must be fairly new to the restaurant biz by how they were trying to compose themselves and stay on routine. We received our drinks and were told she would be right back to take our order, however we had time to finish my cup of coffee and was waiting a good five minutes before I was able to flag our waitress down for a refill and also let her know we were ready to order. After ordering we waited 22 minutes for our order, yes I timed it. I had the florentine benedict and added sausage to it- it was great! My wife had created an omelet and stated hers was very good as well. The restaurant is set up and decorated quite nicely and in no time at all I am sure the staff will be running like a well oiled machine...the 3 stars is because they just arent there quite yet...we will return soon and I will review again! read more

First time - last time. I was on a business appointment nearby and so I decided to try this place out. Very disappointing. I had the chicken fried steak and found it to be inedible. Hash browns looked like someone pressed them on the grill with their shoe. Value was certainly lacking. Hmm, $13.00 for this. So, paid the bill. Cashier asked how everything was so I told her. Her response was "I'm sorry" and here's your change. I'm not sure how long they have been in business but I don't give them long. Only two other customers were in the place when I was there. I will keep my eye on this place whenever I am in the area and let you know when they fold. read more

Had brunch orders their special corn beef hash with over easy eggs and red potatoes. And pancakes. Corn beef hash was good and it's very hard to mess up eggs. Corn beef hash could have had more flavor or spices. Had to put some tobacco on it. Red potatoes were not very good at all. People next to us also agreed because they didn't eat theirs as well. I was excited to try this place, but boy was it terrible! For starters we waited 10 min after being seated before we finally asked for a waiter. I ordered a coffee and the cup had lipstick residue all around the mug. I ordered the French toast, biscuits and gravy and hasbrown. - French toast was good! - biscuits was good but they gravy had a very sweet but sour flavor. Not good - the hash brown was cooked well but had zero flavor or seasoning. Husband ordered the chorizo omelette and pancakes. -omelette was weird. The egg was cooked but the chorizo was just put in the omelette which was then folded over, rather than cooked in. The bell peppers were not cooked at all. Literally crunchy bell peppers. -the pancakes had a very sweet taste to them. Like a sweet cream. I think it's a preference, but neither of us cared for them. We will not be returning. read more

Being a business owner myself, I understand all to well the word of mouth aspect from customers. I rarely complain, but...... Had been wanting to try this place for some time, and having the day off I thought this was the perfect chance. Kept my order simple; biscuits and gravy, eggs over hard, bacon, and coffee. Server was friendly with prompt coffee. Food came out in a timely manner. Tried a couple of bites of the b&g before I couldn't stand it. So I moved onto the eggs. Extremely watery tasting plus half covered in the gravy which wasn't pleasant. Now the bacon was really good. After seeing me finished with 2/3 the food remaining I was asked if I wanted a to-go box. Said absolutely not. They said fine be that way "in a playful way". Left my bill and left. Went to pay, and was asked if everything was ok, so i said... at least the bacon was good. No response. So I paid with a full tip, as it is the last time I will go here. So many places to choose from within a short distance that do care about the food quality and that the customer is satisfied. read more

My friends and I have come in here at least a couple of times for breakfast after a run. We like the food but unfortunately the service is slow. I understand they're busy and the servers are doing their best... but our experience this morning was by far the worst because this manager was so rude! He was telling me to have one of the employees to come see him after I asked him about the to-go drinks I ordered and he comes around the corner and ask me who took my order and snaps at the person. He was very unprofessional and obviously couldn't handle the pressure in there. But as a manager and a leader, he should be setting a good example and communicate better. I feel like the servers there are unhappy because he's unhappy and miserable. read more
