Our server was great. Until the manager filled the entire restaurant with guests within a 10 minute period. I get fast service. But we waited for 10 minutes for our server to give us boxes and our check, after asking twice. She was swamped because her manager was trying to turn over as many tables as possible. Their covid response isn't very good either. Tables are less than 2 feet apart. Unfortunately we were sat next to the door so we heard his "put the best people in the best places" pep talk. The servers looked flustered and the already sat tables like ours were also complaining on the wait. I'd rather wait for 15 minute for a table than have my server be running around to 8+ tables all sat at the same time. If I wanted to be treated like a Denny's I would have went up the street. Fish and chips was AMAZING! Sadly took over an hour to get served. No acknowledgement from the staff on slow service so I'm going to assume this is the norm. Busser was wearing low waisted pants and had visible holes in his underwear. Several tables with lettuce and other debris under them that looked to have been there for a while. Biscuits cafe is a very average breakfast & brunch place, the dining area is large and there are plenty of seats. The service can be a little slow sometimes but it could be worse. The food however is really good for the most part. read more

The staff here is really nice. But the bathrooms are gross. And the hand soap smells like dead roses. The fruit was far from fresh (bleck). Got the BLT avocado toast and it was also obviously not fresh. Wish I went to McDonald's instead. read more

The service was horrible. Three tables that were sat after us, got drinks, food, and checks before us. It took at least 10 min for us to get a box for my wife's food. Darlene was horrible. Very nice, but she did not seem to care about us. There was absolutely no sense of urgency. Day two of their opening. Ordered lunch for pick up. Some glitches on website for ordering but we understand kinks have to be worked out. Neither one of us was impressed with our food. French Dip says piled high but it was skimpy for $16.00. The dipping sauce was plentiful and good but I have tons left over since the sandwich was so skimpy. I ordered hash browns WITH gravy as a side but no gravy on them. Tom was not happy with his Honey Bee Chicken Sandwich either. Chili, very bland, not sure there were onions. We are going to wait for them to get their groove going for a couple of weeks but I was really disappointed spending $47 on an order. Check my reviews... normally I rave. I cannot, for the life of me, account for the popularity of this place. I've been here 7 or 8 times (at two different locations) because it's where my elderly mother likes to go when we take her out to breakfast. There are always tons of people and a long wait, which I cannot understand because the food is always such poor quality. (I've only been here for breakfast, so maybe the lunch is amazing or something?) It all seems to be various combinations of white flour and grease. The breakfast meats are always gristly, tough, dry, and overcooked. The eggs are always cold and undercooked. (Do cooks not learn anymore that raw egg white is risky and like eating snot?) The pancakes are always tough and rubbery and nothing has any semblance of flavor. Ironically the biscuits, which is presumably their thing, are always flat, hard, and dry. I just had a few bites of a biscuit with gravy and it was like eating room temperature paste poured over a three day old baked good. Every is crazy expensive (which I know is the norm these days) but it's hard to pay so much for something that tastes so awful. Seriously, I think I could get a better meal at the gas station. So we went in on Sunday after my wife had a nice lunch there with a friend one weekday. We waited 30 minutes for a table, waited 45 more... never got food but we got biscuits for free. Today I called in an order. They said they were busy so I offered one hour to pick up. I arrived only to be told to keep waiting for my food. I waited 20 more minutes... still no food. Stopped to have lunch here after a workout. Had soup and a sandwich. The soup was a fantastic house soup full of big chunks of beef and plenty of veggies. The sandwich was a really nice put together club that I had to take half home with me because it was so large. My server Cathy was amazing and very friendly, checking on me often and the manager of the cafe was also friendly and hovering around making sure all of the diners were taken care of. read more

My wife has been trying to get me to go to this place ever since it opened,. It was a Perkins, then a Village Inn, and now Biscuits.. I won't be back the prices are sky high and the food was not very good.. My wife and I each got an Omelet without anything to drink and my bill with tip was in the $40.00 neighborhood.. We ate there on a Sunday around noon when the after church crowd usually fills this sort of place up and there were only three other customers in there..,.If you want to try this place you better go quickly because I don't think they will be there very much longer.. Left the biscuits at Bell & 3rd yesterday after an hour without ever getting food. Believe there was a kerfuffle between management and the wait staff, sadly it resulted in us being neglected. Spoke to the manager 30 minutes before we left and she seemed more intent on fighting with staff than she did with helping us. Biscuits is great but this location has serious problems. I will add that not everyone in the store was neglected, people that were seated after us ordered, ate and left before we decided it was time to call it quits. read more

Went here for the first time yesterday. It was a sunday about noon. Place was packed but we got seated very quick, only waited about 10 min. Decor was very nice and modern and it was very clean, even the bathrooms which is refreshing as most places are not. The waitess was very friendly and we placed our order right after she brought our drinks. Well 20 min elapses, 30 min... 40 min... Still no food. Now at this point a lot of the restaurant had finished and left. It wasn't nearly that busy. One table next to us got so upset they waited so long they left before even getting their food. All the surrounding tables in our section had been waiting almost an hour too and were upset. Our waitress at the 45 min mark apologized and said the kitchen was backed up and would we like a cinnamon roll while we wait? I was starving so I said yes. It was delicious but I wanted my real food I ordered. Finally at the 1 hour mark our food came out. I had the veggie head omelette with red potatoes and toast and pancakes. All was very lackluster especially after waiting an hour. Tasted like all the veggies for the omelette were cooked on a dirty grill and way over cooked. Pancakes were still raw. My boyfriend enjoyed his eggs,bacon and hashbrowns but didn't care for the biscuits and gravy. I must say I was very disappointed in the food as I've heard great things, waiting an hour is crazy and if they knew the kitchen was that backed up then stop taking people! If your kitchen is short staffed and backed up common sense says stop seating people and let the cooks catch up. I must say the staff here is amazing. All the staff was friendly and apologetic and trying to keep everyone happy. The staff being so awesome will make me give it one more try to see if maybe it was just a bad day for the kitchen ya know? read more

My husband and I looked forward to trying Biscuits Deer Valley. What a disappointment! I will give them one star for their biscuits, which were good. Both of our meals were botched. My eggs overcooked. My husbands were undercooked. He ordered "over medium" and there was actual raw egg white visible. I pointed out to the server that raw egg whites are unsafe and she argued that people eat raw egg whites all the time "sunny side up". Living in Phoenix you would think it would be cooler inside than outside. Thats not the case with Biscuits Cafe. When we walked in the first thought was to turn around and leave. Apparently the inside temp doesn't matter to these people, it was hot! The next issue was the menus. They were filthy dirty and extremely sticky. Service was fine but the food left much to be desired. My partner made the comment "the food tastes like it's being cooked by high schoolers". A place known for their amazing biscuits now serves what looks and taste like frozen biscuits from a box. The eggs were over cooked and the county potatoes were undercooked, the bun on the hamburger disintegrated a third of the way through. The refills on the sodas came with less and less every time, by the time the third refill came the cup was only half full. It is truly sad, this place use to be a favorite of ours but no longer. I'm not sure what changed, I would highly advise caution when choosing Biscuits Cafe. read more
