She was extremely pleasant and actually laughed at my stupid joke! Sat us right away and left a great impression! Out server was also very pleasant, competent and on point with the specifics of our order! She also gave us great suggestions and made our complicated order work with the kitchen and store requirements! Love it!! This location was not particularly packed, at 2 in the afternoon, and was easy to hold a conversation with my business partner without constantly yelling "WHAT?"! For a healthy option, we chose the egg whites and the multigrain toast without butter. The toast with blueberry preserves was delicious. Kudos to Lilly! Our server made us feel very very rushed. We barely sat down and hadn't even put my purse down and he was asking about drinks and appetizers. We told him to give us a minute so we could look at the menu. He came back four times in five minutes. When we ordered, most of the things we got he said was an "up charge". On regular items... My date got the steak and shrimp combo with steak fries and bacon, macaroni and cheese. I got the meatloaf with salad and okra. For dessert, we ordered the carrot cake with one scoop of ice cream, which also was an up charge for the ice cream. And we only got a half a scoop. Everything from the main meal, was very bland and room temperature. The meatloaf and the okra both left a weird film in my mouth and had a weird aftertaste to it. The okra was very soggy. My boyfriend actually googled how to identify printed meat because this steak was kind of questionable. The carrot cake and the shrimp were the only two things that had any real flavor to them. My wife and I came here for breakfast, we've been here plenty of times and this place satisfies any craving for great southern food cooking. We ordered the strawberry pancakes, country fried chicken, extra side of pancakes, extra side of eggs and sausage. Service was great, our waitress was a pro, very fast to serve our food and made sure we got any drink refills promptly. This is a very family friendly restaurant, bring the kids out or just come and enjoy comfort food here, you'll love it. Very country themed interior, old fashioned look but nice. My wife, daughter and I went at about 3:30 and it was pretty vacant . We lived in Nashville a long time where Cracker Barrel was packed all the time. We had not been in a while and it was fun to revisit . I got pancakes and sausage which were great. My wife got the chicken fingers with greens, dumplings , green beans and mashed potatoes. All were good except the green beans were not her favorite. Our daughter had a vegetable plate which she enjoyed. The biscuits was a little gummy but the corn bread was good. 3.5 STARS! The Cracker Barrel chain is barely making its way into California, so I was looking forward to trying it out in Phoenix, AZ. The restaurant interior is large, open, and spacious. Cute Americana signage and trinkets all over for decor. The gift shop workers, host, and server were all wonderful and welcoming. The portions are generous (huge, even). Vibes and hospitality are the majority of what Cracker Barrel has going for it, though. Nothing was exceptional, unfortunately. Our party's meal was a range of good: the chicken, meatloaf, chicken and dumplings to okay: macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, corn... and then some not so good: biscuit and muffins were stale, beverages tasted watered down or otherwise "off." I'd try Cracker Barrel again because their menu is extensive. There's so much we didn't try yet and we didn't even have room for dessert. Hadn't been to Cracker Barrel in a very long time so I was looking forward to a great breakfast. The service was really great. I ordered Grandpa's Country Fried Breakfast $17.79, chicken fried steak with eggs over easy and instead of biscuits and gravy I chose sourdough toast. The eggs were over hard, chicken fried steak was so dry that I could not finish it. Even the sourdough toast was dry and weirdly sweet? It was a very disappointing meal. Enjoyed the food and service. When entering the restaurant it's be like a general store with nick knacks and cloches. A really fun general store with their old fashion candy. My fiancée and I went here for breakfast this morning. Let me tell you, the BEST breakfast we've had in a very long time. The food was incredible. The pancakes and French toast were soft and fluffy. I stopped by yesterday with my mom and my son, we love Cracker Barrel! The service is always so good when we come. We got greeted when we walked into the gift shop right away, which we LOVE the gift shop, there is soooo many nice things in here from adult clothes, pens, candles, knickknacks, baby clothes, candy, toys, chapsticks, soaps, magnets, books, notebooks, pepper and salt shakers and sets of them, car scents, lotions, blankets, aprons, pots and pans, baking supplies, pies, jewelry, and probably more! I seriously love the gift shop. We went to eat first then browsed through the shop to get goodies. I got the Grandma's Sampler with extra bacon crispy, with the hash brown casserole and scrambled eggs with cheese, Yum! Their pancakes are soooo yummy! I love how they have the crispy ends and soft fluffy middle, the syrup is also so so good! Nice and buttery and everything was so yummy! Seriously my favorite! My mom got The Old Timer's breakfast with over easy eggs, bacon, and the hash brown casserole. She also got biscuits and gravy which was delicious! I tried the gravy, it was great! My son got the kids meal with the chicken tenders and fries, he loved his as well! We all loved what we got. Our food came out quick as well. It was a really great experience. Then in the gift shop I got an Apron, a cute Owl Pen with white snow glitter on it, goat milk lotion, and goat milk chapstick, my son got a dinosaur toy that holds a lollipop, and I believe that was all this time around. Usually we get so much more but we had to get going for the day. Definitely will be coming back like the per usual! The ambiance in here is so cute as well, love it! It's always such a treat eating at a Cracker Barrel. You know what to expect and that's exactly what we received. The kids had pancakes for dinner while my hubby enjoyed the country fried chicken. U had soup and salad. The veggie soup was not great, it was water with veggies. Salad is generously sized much I was grateful for, and the chicken was moist and flavorful! The kids liked the pancakes and enjoyed shopping in the cute store. We will absolutely continue to visit Cracker Barrel locations whenever we are near one! I've seen multiple commercials for Cracker Barrels early dinner deals and all-day breakfast specials, so we finally succumbed to the visual pressure and went to the Deer Valley location for their 4-6 early dinner deals starting at $10.99. The decor is a country store/ hunting lodge, and it is cool inside. Our server Bree was very friendly and helpful. We started with loaded hashbrown casserole tots, and they were delicious. Here's a tip you can get a free Barrel Bite appetizer when you join their rewards club. I had the homestyle chicken $11.49, and my wife had the grilled farm-rasised catfish $11.49. Both were enjoyable, but the sides were a little bland. Overall, Cracker Barrel is good value for families and a great place for comfort food. read more

I have gone too many Cracker Barrel's. It is my comfort food. The campfire chicken is one of my favorites so I'm so happy they have it this summer. I tried their s'mores brownie. Oh my goodness was that delicious definitely need to share it with someone. I had Stacy as my server and she was kind and wonderful. I felt so bad because I got here like 830 or so so probably 30 minutes before closing but she never rushed me. It was wonderful. Cracker Barrel used to be the place to go for a delicious meal breakfast, lunch and dinner. Those days seem long gone. The service is still good but the food has gone downhill big time. Last 2 times I went for breakfast the hash brown casserole was barely warm. Today though was the last straw. The coffee which has always been great here was awful. Thought it tasted very bitter. Now that all the brouhaha and noise about the logo and the redesign are behind us figured I'd go back to Old Fashioned restaurant and have a nice dinner. I was really impressed with the service and now you can actually pay with your app online and they have a pretty decent Rewards program as well so I'd advise to get the Cracker Barrel app cuz you get a free appetizer just for signing up. Anyway, I got myself the grilled Smokehouse chicken with a side of sweet potato casserole and fresh fruit. The chicken was a little chewy for me and I was kind of surprised I got through about three quarters of it I got too brass which were decent in size and the seasoning was okay. I really liked the sweet potato casserole cuz it had walnuts and cranberries in it which gave it some additional flavor. Also, the fresh fruit was well pineapples, blueberries, and strawberries. I like this place because they have a lot of healthy options and good protein hits. And of course my favorite part is still the entryway where you can shop around and see all those old time candies and all the different items that they have for sale clothing and toys and all sorts of stuff even had stuff for Halloween and even Christmas stuff is up already go figure. This restaurant has gone down hill. The breakfast dishes were unsatisfying and have the quality of cafeteria style food. You are better off buying your own groceries and making breakfast yourself. I ordered the Old Timer's Breakfast, it contained two eggs, your choice of meat and one side with biscuits and gravy. Their sausage patties here are the worst I have ever eaten. I couldn't even tell what protein I was digesting. Their famous hashbrown casserole was also bland, I had to douse it with ketchup to add flavor as it contained more cheese than potatoes. I also ordered the Biscuit Beignets and those were fantastic. Freshly deep-fried and warm, tossed in cinnamon and powdered sugar with a butter pecan dipping sauce. It was disappointing at best--turkey had no flavor, dressing and puréed squash all tasted the same. It was the first time I was disappointed in the food. As you advertise special opportunities for Thanksgiving take out it might be good to taste and critique the food and maybe make some adjustments. Oh how awful it was. I'm talking about the food. And it was so bad, so completely detestable, that it cancels out any other good things about the place. Basket of cornbread and biscuits with 4 cornbread and one biscuit. All of them incredibly dried out, as in over a day old dry and stale. The rest of the meal was the same. Country fried steak small, 5" breaded, the size of a thin hamburger patty. Stale, dry, with the breading soft and falling off. Mashed potatoes were a grayish brown, dry and crumbly. Greens were seasoned with rancid grease. Friend's meatloaf was dry, even hard in spots. The tomato sauce was dried up, almost gone. His hashbrown casserole had that gray color that my potatoes had, and when I asked how it tasted, he frowned and shrugged his shoulders. Then he tried to pry the sole biscuit open. It wouldn't open with his knife. He tapped the edge of the biscuit on the table. It clunked. Nothing else need be said about this place, the service, or anything else. Gray potatoes and biscuits that clunk. Everything was at least a day old, as in made the day before or possibly even earlier. This vile meal cost over $60. Never again. read more

What the heck happened to this location? The food used to be really good, not to mention, it would look appetizing... doesn't even come close now. I came in to order some food to go: Two buttermilk pancakes, side of fried apples. Second order was Momma's French toast, two scrambled eggs, bacon and added two biscuits. While I waited for my to-go order, I spent a few minutes looking at all the cool stuff. Once they told me the order was ready, I drove home. When I got home, my husband took everything out of the bag, and we were both disgusted....his meal looked like it was purchased from the gas station around the corner. My pancakes were fine, no issues, but they just didn't keep the heat, easy heat up. If you look at their website, you can see what my husband's meal was supposed to look like, instead, as you can see with the photos I've attached, it was pathetic. First time we were disappointed with Cracker Barrel. The new corporate changes finally hit this location. Much smaller portions. Different ingredients. Nothing tasted the same. Extremely bland. They gave us half the amount of servings as usual. We definitely won't be coming here as often. There was also an employee sitting behind the building with her entire purse dumped on the floor, and she was smoking a cigarette digging through everything and talking to herself. My experience is for the Christmas/Holiday ham family meal that I ordered ahead of time and chose to pick up from this location. I have not sat down and eaten inside a Cracker Barrel in probably 15 years. This packaged meal included: - Spiral-Sliced Sugar Cured Ham. Actual ham was very good. It came with a glaze but went unused. My mom found it to be very salty but thankfully the ham was very flavorful on its own. - Cornbread Dressing. Decent; cornbread dressing/stuffing is not a personal favorite of mine in general but it will get finished eventually. If given a choice, I would have chosen something different but it came standard with the meal. - Roasted Gravy. Very good. I received way more gravy than I can use with what I ended up ordering. I will make some mashed potatoes at a later time to go with this. - Cranberry Relish. We ended up not using it. Never liked cranberry sauce in general. I can tolerate it in small amounts when paired with turkey. - Macaroni n' Cheese. Very good. This was hubby's favorite to no one's surprise. - Choice of 1 Country Side. We chose the hashbrown casserole. This was my favorite of all the sides. - Sweet Yeast Rolls. Decent. Just your plain old dinner rolls to fill up your appetite. All of this packaged neatly in a big, sturdy box and was ready for me even as I was 15 minutes early. Also was given a small booklet for cooking instructions so you're not wondering how to pull all of this together. It was easy to cook as it's all done in the oven. Just need to time it right so that everything comes out around the same time and served warm. I would absolutely order holiday family meals from here again. Yeah, you may be spending more money going this route instead of cooking it all yourself but the convenience is sure is hard to beat and sometimes its worth it to have that.
