Tried to call in order. Phone out of order. Went in person to place order. They seemed shocked phone wasn't working. Placed order and they said 10 minutes. 40 minutes later food was finally ready. Came for Breakfast first time at this location. I know its New But i was not happy about what i saw and service. When i first came in i saw 3 girls putting all the silverware in the napkins with no gloves on after watching them touch alot of things money, menus. one girl that took our name was sweating it was all over her face and she just kept wiping her face. That was gross made me not happy. Second was waitress she took order and never seen her again at all some other waitress came to see if we were doing ok when we placed our order i asked for my Bacon to BE VERY CRISPY it wasn't it was rubber. I didnt eat it. i also had asked for a cinnamon roll to go but when we got our check different waitress it wasn't even on the bill she said she would go get us one and i was like no it should of been on the bill when we placed our order and it never was. I've been to the Biscuits cafe on 59th and the 101- So I figured I'd try this one out, granted I did order TOGO which may have part to due in the overall experience. But to start, the staff is friendly which is great! I ordered over the phone and was estimated about 15 minutes which isn't bad at all. I arrive at the restaurant and my food is ready when I get there! Awesome, I pay and it's $40 dollars not too bad but for the breakfast my Husband and I ended up having it was just not worth it. For starters both of our hash browns were totally undercooked and under seasoned, I can forgive lack of seasoning because not everyone likes pepper and salt but still... they were practically raw. I ordered my eggs OM and one was OM the other was OH. My husbands omelet was fine he says, but his toast was literally wet.. Lol I'd just suggest separate packaging. Lastly, I ordered Melon Mix which is just fruit but seriously all the fruit tastes bad. I work in the restaurant bis and fruit is supposed to be prepared daily and this just tasted and smelled a little old. Anyway, this is all things that can be fixed with a little more attention. It's saturday, trust me I get it but $40 for food that just isn't good, that's lame. The pic of the food is my hash browns with my eggs on top- to show the rawness and lightness in color. We had brunch at the Bell Road location on Sunday, we sat on the patio which was beautiful unfortunately we had to wait 45 minutes for our food, the waitress absolutely did not have her heart in her job , The service was not up to power and the food was obviously rushed through because they were very busy, I do not think they can cope under pressure , My Florentine Benedict was atrocious the eggs looked like quail eggs they were that small on a bed of five leaves of spinach that literally was just blanched in hot water on a soggy English muffin it was atrocious, but the hollandaise sauce was fabulous, my friend had Fish and chips the chips were white anemic and undercooked and the fish was raw inside , my toast was warm greasy bread not a sign of being toasted , when I mentioned the eggs to the waitress as we were leaving all she said was I'm sorry but they are poached eggs, like poached eggs are smaller than regular eggs, Don't insult to my intelligence , They just did not know how to do poach eggs properly . We've been here a few times and this will probably be our last. The first time was right after they opened. There are always glitches when a new restaurant opens so we were patient with the slow service. The food honestly wasn't great. I ordered a burger that arrived warm, but raw inside. Things happen and we gave them another try. The second time I went with a friend and service was slow but better than before. The food was ok. A few times I've ordered through GrubHub and there was always something missing. This last time we had a 15-minute wait in the lobby. That's fine as it was Sunday and we expected to wait. Once we got to the table it was 15 minutes before the waitress came to get our drinks, then another 10 minutes to take our order - then almost an hour before the food showed up. She kept apologizing for the wait and said the kitchen was backed up. That does happen, but a large number of tables cleared out while we were waiting. One of the sandwiches we ordered was wrong but after waiting that long we weren't going to send it back. It was fine, just not what we ordered. We were there for a total of 2 hours for a basic breakfast and a sandwich. Unfortunately there just aren't enough good things to bring us back at this point. read more

Went for breakfast about a week ago. Staff was great and all were wearing their masks. We noticed that the chef had his mask on to cover just his mouth. I love chorizo so I ordered the chorizo omelette and it looked great. I was mistaken, it looked like they just placed the chorizo on the outside edges to make it look like it was very meaty. So disappointed and also the hash browns were not cooked enough. My sisters potatoes could also have cooked a few minutes longer. read more

First time here. Let me start that the portions are a good size. The biscuits were good. But 2 large biscuits for one person is one too many and a waste of food. The homemade jam was good too. Now the downside. I ordered the corned beef hash 2 eggs over medium and red potatoes. The hash was shredded corned beef, was obviously stringy and as it got colder became hard to get down. The red potatoes were just red potatoes nothing special. Tbh Denny's serves better. Now I'm a hot food eater but had a busy morning so no time to send the plate back to the microwave. I'm sure they wouldn't have thrown it back on the flattop. The biscuits were the warmest thing that came out, other then the coffee. Hash, potatoes and eggs were barely warm. And it wasn't busy so no excuse. I live close by but probably won't be back. And it was not worth $17 plus people complain about Starbucks selling coffee for $5. So does Biscuits . Absolute worst dining experience I've ever had. To start I asked for more vanilla creamer as there wasn't enough already in the bowl on the table, didn't get it with my coffee so had to take some from another table. She ended up bringing it half way through the meal, which didn't matter because my coffee was cold by then. Next it took forever to take our order and even longer to get our food. Very very long. When they brought the food a runner spilled hot syrup on my 6yr old. It was in her hair and on her clothes. Thank god it wasn't hot enough to burn her. While she apologized profusely and cleaned it up well when the manager finally come over to apologize for it it was the most awkward encounter. She asks if she was ok, if she got burnt, then there was a long pause as though she wanted us to complain more or be more angry. She should have offered there to comp my kids meal. But she didn't. She asked how everything else was and I told her how terrible the food was. By the time I got to eat after the syrup issue my food was cold. And I specifically asked for not crispy bacon and it was. Even the replacement bacon was extra crispy. And cold! The waitress never checked on us if we needed anything when we received our food. The manager comped my meal I guess because I said how terrible it was. And after all that it still cost us $40 read more

Had breakfast there this morning. My second time; the first was a pickup order shortly after they opened. My friend and I came in after our morning workout across the parking lot at PF. We both ordered a Benedict - I had the Spinach version and he had the Avocado version. It was okay, but nothing to rave about. Nonetheless it was a healthy alternative to the usual breakfast fare we like, and we went about our day. I arrived at my office about 20 minutes later and suddenly had a VERY upset stomach, and took care of that, if you know what I mean. I texted my friend, and he had just had the same experience in exactly the same timeframe. Lesson learned. We won't order the Benedict, and actually I'm not sure we'll be back at all as it would suggest that there's some food handling issues. Meanwhile we did notice that some people seemed to be having issues getting their servers' attention, and at a time when there were very few tables occupied that should not be an issue. I used to come here often back in the old Village Inn days; this staff will have a ways to go to build the rapport with regulars that the VI people had after years of being there. I'm not especially crazy about the new decor, either. I "get" the whole neutral/industrial look, but it's relatively bland and rather "cold" in its feel. Plus there was something slippery on the floor as we approached our table and I felt my shoe sole very noticeably slip. In addition the menu was reusable and the laminate on it was sticky, so not completely wiped off, and there were still grains of salt on a supposedly sanitized table. I was pleasantly surprised with our take out dinner from this location. We've eaten at another location for breakfast but this was our first time having their dinner at this location. Sooo yummy! Sorry, forgot to take pics! We had the chicken fried chicken entree with garlic mashed potatoes and a house salad. The chicken was crispy and cooked to perfection! The mashed potatoes were delicious and the house salad hit the spot with some of their fabulous ranch dressing! (Big time ranch lover and it's hard to find a solid ranch these days. This place has the best ranch!) We also got the ribs which my husband enjoyed and chicken strips for my son which he also enjoyed which is a win because he can be picky sometimes. The biscuits were delicious, corn bread was good (not the best I've had but no complaints). If you're looking for some comfort food for dinner, this is the place to go! Waited for an hour and 15 minutes later and my waiter comes to tell me our order is being delayed because of caryouts so my order got pushed to the side so they can take care of mobile orders instead of me who waited and hour and 15 minutes and food wasn't even started yet. Management wanted to blame our waitress for the wait time wait a minute here, is it the waiters job to cook the food too I don't think so. Asked for a discount that didn't happen. Paid $75 and went home with the food and one of the persons food didn't even get what they wanted. On top of this who prefers pancakes and gets no butter or syrup. Worst experience for my first time there and drop almost $100. Gave $20 tip cause the waitress did her part in a timely matter, the cooks not so much at all. Absolutely the WORST food and the restaurant wasn't taking Covid Precautions. All the tables are back close together. They sat us in the middle of many other tables. A booth was empty but not cleaned yet, we asked to be moved. Had to ask them to wipe down the seats as well as the table. Breakfast was AWFUL we ordered a pancake breakfast, cinnamon roll and bacon, brought the pancake breakfast and bacon, and they forgot he cinnamon roll. No syrup for pancakes, had to ask, pancakes were cold. Cinnamon roll looked nothing like what was in the case can't even explain the taste, and the frosting was bitter and awful, sent it back! Manager never came over to see us, he was outside on a "break" as we left, had to flag down server from the "hang out" by the kitchen to pay. Floor was a mess around empty table, never cleaned up.
