They have amazing service and amazing food and there burrito are so good I love the burrito

The breakfast was standard the I asked for the biscuits and gravy. The waiter told me there would be an up charge to get the sausage gravy so when I received it there was about 5 tiny pieces of sausage in this flower bland sauce. The biscuit's were heavy and hard! I'm from LA visiting St George for a softball tournament! I don't know anything about this area.. but found this place on yelp for breakfast. Wow.. talk about a great breakfast spot and for one hell of a great price The waitress we had was awesome. She was fast & so nice... and our food came out extremely quick. When she gave us our food, she offered my boss if he wanted another new pancake bc she felt that it was a tad Burnt but my boss said no & LOVED it. He said it was the "best" pancake he's ever had in his life.. and he's older & eats a ton of pancakes. Ha. My burrito was perfect. The sauce really worked with the burrito perfectly... the burrito wasn't as big as I thought it was gonna be but damn it really filled me up fast. The hash browns were just plain average but I was totally fine with it & I was satisfied. My boss & I ordered- the scrambled egg burrito w side of hash browns + 1 pancake + 2 eggs & side of hash brown + apple juice + hot chocolate.. all for $25. Amazing. read more

Let me start by stating that there are two Bishops locations: one in Washington (gets four stars) and one in St. George (Sunset and Dixie gets one star) On Saturday, November 18th my wife and I went to the Washington location. It was crazy busy so we sat at the counter. The service was awesome, the location clean, all the employees seemed to work as a team. The pass through window was consistently full of food that was delivered promptly. Our food was fantastic, our service was even better (thanks Cassi). The portions were plentiful and the prices were great (especially in this economy). My wife and I both stated that we would return; especially when my wife saw the cinnamon roll (the size of a dinner plate). Fast forward to Sunday, November 19th. There is a Bishops just up the road from our home. We decided to stop in. When we entered there was a gentleman at the front desk area and he never even looked up to acknowledge us. Also, a server passed by us twice, made eye contact, yet did not acknowledge our presence. We caught an employee's attention and asked if we could sit at the counter; she stated yes. As we sat down, at the counter, the chairs, and the floor were dirty (a fork, a french fry, and a penny under my chair). The servers continually used the counter space we were sitting at for writing checks, counting tips, doing side work (a restaurant term for cleaning and filling salt, pepper, ketchup, etc.) Also, the staff was complaining about working (and not wanting to work); Also, a few colorful words were dropped. Now the food...HORRIBLE! my hash browns tasted like they were made yesterday. Plus my food came out about 7 - 10 minutes after my wife's (I had ordered number 1 two eggs, hashbrowns, and toast). Needless to say, although the Washington location is farther from our home, that is the ONLY Bishops we will eat at in the future! read more

Ok, let's not get crazy. This is an American diner. That said, quality and simplicity. We ate breakfast here and it was fantastic. This was about our fourth time eating at this Bishop and we enjoyed it. We find this Bishop to be a little friendlier and the quality of the food good. For being basically diner food we find the portions good and priced about right as well. We have also found the waitresses to be good and pretty attentive. At this Bishop the wait time for meal to also reasonable! If someone wants a simple breakfast for a reasonable price I recommend this Bishop's Grill on Sunset! read more

Our order started with French toast as an appetizer, which was the best any of us had ever tasted. We even ordered another plate. The slices were moist but had a nice crisp outside. Our waitress recommended eating it with butter and the house jam, that was a great experience, no need for syrup. Each of us ordered different plates additionally, which looked so good and tasted better that I forgot to snap pictures. Just another good old diner. Stopped in lunch with a friend and his kids. They were pretty busy. Our server seemed a bit impatient because we didn't know exactly what we wanted to order right away. I eventually settled on the Buffalo Chicken sandwich with a salad instead of fries. For as busy as it was, our orders came reasonably quick. Well, my order had fries...I was told to keep them (no charge) and she'd bring me a salad. My friend ask for something (can't remember what) but staff kept walking by...eventually one of them realized and brought the item. Now the lunch crowd started to thin out. At that point, our server became a bit more attentive...but now we were done with our meal. Our food was good, but the service was marginal..at least during the lunch rush. Plenty of parking and I think there was free WiFi. No objections to eating here again. But in think I'll avoid the rush periods. read more

The manager told us not to order our eggs soft because his cooks dont cook the eggs for very long anyways, so unless you like them really runny, order hard. That was the managers response to "Hey. Our eggs are cooked only enough to hold together, and there was a rush of raw egg that went all over my plate." His first response: How did you order them? Not raw, man. What diner cook cant cook eggs? The waitress did a fantastic job up-selling a giant cinnamon roll that she was showing off as she walked to the customer with it, telling everyone to look at it. Sweet! You sold one. Then she said oh that was the last one! They re-fired our food, and yes it good, but that was my 3rd and last visit to Bishops. We came in for breakfast that is reliably quite good for a standard American meal. The staff was not very friendly and this was not the usual vibe we get here. They seem put out maybe because it's just seniors in here including me! 5 stars for an old school diner with diner prices and diner food. Big menu selection with really reasonable prices. If you understand what a diner is then you'll know what to expect. We usually love bishops for a good breakfast. However, this morning the hash-browns were old. We were the third customers of the morning and they served us old rubbery hash-browns. We were disappointed because their food is usually good. It was obvious they were warmed up from another day. Very disappointing. They did. Not offer any replacement for them at all. Anyway. They say breakfast is the best here. But not impressed with the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Took a large group and service was slow.

So me and my neighbor went here for lunch, we had to wait a few minutes but that's ok. But to wait for. Over 36 minutes for food and the people that ordered after us got their food first. I love the philly steak sandwich but it needs more meat on the sandwich, one side of my sandwich had one piece of me and a bunch of onions. Well today was the day of Redemption on the Yelp reviews. I was in visiting my kids and saw this restaurant near to them. I always venture to new places when I am with them. Well the past reviews had me leery. But today was their second chance because I was going to review it. So here it is. Service from Apple was fabulous. Time between order and food to the table was very quick. The quantity of food was huge. The prices were well with in budget for 3 of us. And to top it off, everything tasted great! Now to address some of the reviews. "See you tomorrow" to a single senior gentleman leaving, let's you know that there is repeat business. We arrived near 9:30 and the place was busy, but we were immediately seated. It stayed busy. Most of the customers today, by observation, were retired. There were a couple families. I believe the prior senior issue has clearly been taken care of. And if retirees are a primary demographic for this establishment, then there is the reason why reviews have not been updated- most of us seniors don't take to doing reviews. So disappointed to say the least. We waited 35 minutes to be seated which we were told it would be, so that was fine. Ordered pretty fast. Waited an hour and a half for 5 out of 6 meals. 1 of those 5 was warm. The rest COLD and had obviously been sitting. We let them know and we were told there is nothing they could do. We all ate what we could salvage as we waited so long and were hungry. We finished our food and were told my daughters chicken fingers were just going in the fryer ( so obviously forgotten) when we said we were ready to go they said they would not take them off the bill but could take our drinks off. As we were paying up front. Handed us a to go box with my daughters chicken and fries. Still in shock at how we were somehow in the wrong. Pack up your babies and grab the old ladies and head to Bishop's Grill. I have no idea why it's called that...our waiter was delightful, atmosphere relaxing, it was diner style. The Bishop's plate breakfast for $10 had 2 eggs, 2 huge pieces of French toast, 2 sausage, and wait, 2 pieces of bacon. They offer to types of syrup and real butter not the yellow lard stuff or margarine. My cup of joe was perfect. I'll be back and recommend this place highly read more

It states they're open till 9 on yelp but in reality they're only open till 3 EVERY DAY awful. We were so excited to eat after driving forever and yelp took us there saying it was open in green letters. We were so excited only to walk up and see they were closed. read more

We have been to Bishops many times with an array of different people with different tastes. Every one of them, including us have been able to find something to love from their perfectly crafted menu each and every time. The staff is friendly and are always there to lend a hand. Food was kind of a typical breakfast style food. Service was decent, they weren't very personable, but nice. The food took about 35 min to receive, so we were thankful that we weren't in a hurry. The food that came out the fastest was the wings, even faster than my daughters pancake. We had added some things to our food (such as tomato and avocado, for the egg sandwich) that we didn't receive either, but it was overall okay.
