Not much to add to the other reviews. This is a steak house comparable to any in any US city. While it might be pricey compared to restaurants in Myrtle/North Myrtle Beach area, we found the prices quite reasonable for the quality of both the food and the service. Had a drink in the bar first and the bartender was a real professional. Wait people at dinner were fast, nice and knowledgable. The owner is on the floor, adding to the ambience. My husband and I spent our 25th Anniversary Dinner here, and it was Spectacular! Our waiter started us off with complimentary Flutes of champagne to toast the occasion, and was so gracious and helpful with the menu suggestions. The food was outstanding and the desert was decadent. I can not brag on this place enough, but I will. They even attract the best patrons, we met a lovely couple celebrating their anniversary also. Had an excellent meal on our recent visit. Being our first time at Bistro 90, I had the 16oz Ribeye which was perfectly cooked to my taste, while my wife had Fettuccine Alfredo which she really enjoyed. My wife and I went to Bistro 90 for our anniversary this past Saturday night. The food tasted beyond incredible, starting with amazing locally grown stuffed figs that were out of this world. We had mussels Mariana as an appetizer that was on point. For our main course I had a 16 ounce prime ribeye and my wife had the 12 ounce prime deckle steak, both cooked and seasoned to perfection and absolutely mouth watering. The wine list and cocktail menu had lots of choices and our server helped us choose a fantastic wine to go with our meal. Our dessert, a peanut butter creme brulee, was downright tasty. Our server for the evening was an amazing young woman named Amanda. She was genuinely nice, answered all of our questions and was perfectly attentive. We were extremely grateful to have her as our server. The restaurant is spotless and the lighting was perfect. The walls display a local artist with an opportunity to purchase if the art suits you. Light jazz played in the background making the atmosphere and ambiance just right. Throughout the evening the restaurant's owner Roland came by the ensure that everything was perfect. And it was. Had dinner Saturday with party of 8. Food and server were excellent. However service in bar was another matter. We all arrived early to have cocktails before dinner seating. Both bartenders were aloof and condescending. They seemed totally annoyed just answering questions about drink menu then getting the order. This restaurant would have gotten a better rating but I can't get over what transpired. It was my Dads birthday. After spending $250 without tip the waiter brought over a pile of whip cream with a candle in it for the birthday celebration. I think if you spend that kind of money they could've at least given you a slice of cake. If you go to Applebee's or Chili's you get a slice of cake for someone's birthday. They are not afraid to charge for the meals or the wine so they should go a little bit above and beyond as far as hospitality goes. I've never seen a restaurant ever do this. Otherwise the food was great the waiter was wonderful but this was very disappointing read more

From the service to the impeccably prepared food - we loved this place! A server at a restaurant we frequent while in Myrtle recommended this place and we're so glad we tried it! The deckel steak was tender and flavorful and the baked shrimp were some of the best shrimp I've ever had. So often sides are an afterthought at a chop house, but not here, they were yummy, too. We also enjoyed the crunchy yet soft homemade bread with olive oil and herbs. Our server was very good and the owner stopped by multiple times to check in on us - but not in an annoying or cheesy way. He was genuine and you could tell he cared about our business. The best collection of bourbon I've ever witnessed. I had scallop the appetizer which was 2 thumbs up. For dinner I had steak which was the best I've had in a long time. My wife and I vacation annually down in North Myrtle Beach every year and one of our most enjoyable things to do is discover and experience restaurants in the area. After our visit last year, we were recommended Bistro 90 by a waiter at another popular restaurant who mentioned that they had some of, if not the best steaks in South Carolina. After our recent visit, I would go one step further and say that not only are these some of the best steaks in South Carolina but the entire US. Living in Chicago, my wife and I've experienced great steaks from the likes of Brandon Sodekoff and Gibson's Restaurant Group and what I had at Bistro 90 was on that level. My filet was cooked just as requested and was extremely tender. The Chilean sea bass that my wife had was very flavorful and both were supplemented with green beans and some of the best potatoes I've had. I was extremely impressed by the extensive wine selection as well as the decor and ambiance of the restaurant. Service was top notch and you could tell Roland, the owner, cared about providing an all around unique experience for his guests. While we always like to mix it up and try different places each year we come down, I think this will be a must stop each and every year! read more

We try to go to Bistro 90 each time we visit the area. The food is always delicious. When we were served this evening, there was a collective "Mmmmmm" all the way around the table. My sister got the special filet with mozzarella. She said it was excellent. My favorite dish is the Bistro 90 with veal (you can also get it with chicken). The chef also prepared a pineapple bread pudding that would melt in your mouth. You really can't go wrong here. read more

Without doubt the best steak I have ever had in either of the Carolina's and within the top three or four I've had nationwide. All of their steaks are dry aged which not only makes them taste great but also easier on the digestive tract if you have issues with beef as does my wife. I had the bone-in Ribeye medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. Although they have a selection of toppings for your steak, if you get one get it on the side because these cuts of beef need no assistance. The steak was served over a bed of mashed potatoes and green beans. Next time I return I will have the mashed potatoes on the side to avoid them influencing the taste of the beef. Awesome meal. But wait their's more. Three of our party of four were vegetarians and they were very please with their pasta choices. We had one really picky eater in the bunch and they were able to customize a dish which brought a smile to her face. Actually, the ability to accommodate the vegetarians is what attracted me to Bistro 90 but the steak is what will bring me back. The wine selection has both breadth and depth. You can find a good bottle of wine in the thirty dollar range or treat yourself to an extremely nice bottle if you desire. You can't write a review about this place without mentioning the bourbon selection. Again breadth and depth. Anything from a normal sipping whiskey to an awesome 25 yr old Pappy. They even have Pappy flights. I had a flight of five Pappys and added a Pappy Rye. I should mention that they obtained the only bottle of Pappy Rye to enter South Carolina in over eight years. We dined on a Friday evening and were pleased to find that they had a live pianist playing. Extremely nice addition to the overall ambiance. Round out the evening with a professional and attentive wait staff have you have yourself one super evening. Kudos to Bistro 90, worth the drive. read more

Great place off of Route 90 in Longs. If you are a bourbon enthuiast then this place is for you. Extensive selection. Can even get a filght of Pappy! Food was supberb. I had scallops and pork belly for an appetizer. Surf and turf for dinner. Filet was perfectly cooked and lobster tail was very good. The drive confused us at first. Coming from Myrtle Beach we thought we were lost. Then, all of a sudden, there was this attractive restaurant on the right hand side of the road. Knowing this was an Italian restaurant my wife was looking for a good Risotto. Although there were none on the menu the chef agreed to make their Bistro 90 dish, but with Risotto instead of pasta. As we waited for our entrees we shared a couple of appetizers. My wife had some orange jalapeño scallops and I had the shrimp and grits. My wife really enjoyed her scallops. I wasn't sure about the grits with a type of barbecue sauce on them. But, I actually really enjoyed the dish. Finally, our entrees of Mahi Mahi and Bistro 90 arrived. I'll have to say that both were VERY well prepared. The lobster cream sauce on my Mahi was awesome! And as for my wife's specially prepared dish, she couldn't stop raving about it. Bistro 90 is a gem! It's well worth the six mile drive out of N. Myrtle Beach to this delightful restaurant. My wife and I were treating ourselves to fine dining on our last night of our annual beach timeshare. We've been making this trip from our home in VA for over 30 years and it was way overdue for us to get away from the Route 17 eateries along the beach. We arrived and were greeted (and sent off later) by the owner, Roland Sciotto, who clearly takes great pride in his restaurant.. And the food and service were SUPERB! Our delightful waitress, Amanda, was thorough and cheerful through her recitation of all the specials... and then the presentation of a plate of yet-to-be cooked beef in a variety of cuts and sizes. The sizes, by the way, were all HUGE! We were promptly served our drinks (sparkling water for my wife and a generous pour of Sterling Chard for me) and a fresh-baked and perfect-size loaf of crusty bread, to be enjoyed with the dish of nicely herbed EVOO for dipping. My wife's poached pear and arugula salad and my wedge salad were fresh, delicious, and HUGE. My wedge came with two strips of crispy bacon and a huge slice of an heirloom tomato. With its two dressings (balsamic for the tomato and creamy bleu cheese for the lettuce), it was truly enough to be a meal in itself. For our entrees, my wife went for the five-slice fried green tomatoes which came with crab meat and a creamy dressing, and she loved it! For mine, I ordered a pork chop that was big, juicy, and just wonderful! My meal came with roasted small potatoes and green beans. And the chop had a very nice BBQ-like sauce that added flavor without stealing the show from the meat. We both brought home about 1/3 of our meals to enjoy tomorrow. It was sad that we had no room for dessert, particularly after seeing the very tempting offerings on the menu. This place is THE hidden gem of the Grand Strand. Just off the beaten path in Longs which is less than 6 miles from North Myrtle and just 17 miles from my home in Calabash NC, sits a wonderful Bistro. Authentic Italian Cusine, great service and atmosphere with live music and the best Italian food I have had the pleasure to indulge in.... well in forever. Roland Sciotto and his staff are amazing. This was the best place I've been to while in SC. Intimate. Nice music. Delicious food. Home made breads. Tomatoes in my mozzarella salad from the stand down the road. Amazing server who was a wealth of knowledge. My only complaint is way too many awesome foods to decide on just one. So many choices :) so I must go back :) I wanted my Alfredo w sundried tomatoes. They accommodated. They are willing to adjust and make foods how you like it. My husband got the Seoul. Price w a bottle of wine and a mix drink w two huge entrees. Breads and salads $70. Probably the best dining experience i have ever had. Top to bottom, from the server to the bartender to the chef. The food was beyond good and was the highlight of our vacation. If you have a chance to dine here, DO!!! Our table ordered 3 entrées that in no way similar to each other. All were obviously made to order from scratch and were delicious. Everything was fresh. So where do I start - my meal was far less than expected but my wife liked hers until she learned the cost and said it was not worth the price. Before you question what we have to say keep in mind we have eaten at some the best this country, Mexico and Europe has to offer. Yes we have a house in the area among other area's in North and South Carolina. The reviews and ratings locally make me wonder if they paid for them! Harsh maybe so and it was our first visit. After my meal it probably will be my last. My wife tasted mine and agreed, said it left a bad after taste. So why the three star instead of a two. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits. The shrimp was OK until you tried the grits! The bacon was good and really liked having fried okra on top. Never been a fan of gravy on my grits or mixed in but this was no ordinary gravy but a gravy like sauce mixed in. An acquired taste is the best I can possibly say about it and please understand you will be tasting it all the way home. Our salads were good! My water tasted funky but my wife thought it was due to the taste of the sauce - maybe she was right. Still it was FUNKY! The water in the general area is very good for coastal water, we know we spend most of the year here. Our first time there due to it being so far out of the way from everything else. Nice building and nice inside. Outside dining for those that want and you can bring a four legged friend out there which is nice and appreciated. No we did not bring our Yorkie - again first timers. Pricing is in-line with fine dining in N.Y. or L.A. and some might think for Myrtle so if you are used to high cost meals or have a special occasion it may be alright for you. Me I give it two thumbs down. Not just on price but for one of the worst meal in the Myrtle area - you can do much better for a much lower price! Service was OK but I could not get a much needed water refill considering I badly needed to wash down that really nasty plate of grits. I am no chef but I can cook better shrimp and grits than this by a long shot - so do yourself a favor and make your own. To far out and why too high even for Myrtle which they are officially in Longs, S.C.! Don't risk getting Shrimp and Grits not worth it no matter how low they drop the price. My advice is drop it from the menu. Not having tried anything else, I really cannot comment on the rest of the menu but again they will never have to worry about another review from me - we will never go back. Still tasting that gross stuff and I love good shrimp and grits especially since I am Southern. read more

I found this place while on vacation thanks to other Yelpers. My parents kept the kids so my wife and I made the short drive from Myrtle beach to Longs for a date night. We walked into soft jazz and dark red walls with white linens. We were met at the door by the owner and a hostess. We were seated in a young man's area named Casey. He quickly approached with a well rehearsed rundown of tonight's specials and water and a few loaves of warm bread. We ordered a Gorgonzola stuffed mushrooms app and is was very good. A few glasses of white wine "Reisling" to go along with our choice for dinner. An oven roasted sea bass topped with lump crab and diced tomatoes. The sides were red roasted potatoes and fresh veggies squash , green beans, tomatoes. It was all very good and the service was on point. Tables cleared immediately without the feel of a hovering bus boy. For desert we opted to share a hazel nut and chocolate ice cream that had been dipped in bitter dark chocolate . This place is a real gem. A 10 minute drive from the coast and the strip. It's well worth the time and money. Our bill for 2 came to $130. If you want upscale dining in the Myrtle Beach area this is the place! Top notch service in an upscale, warm and inviting dining room. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable (they bring around the tray of uncooked steaks to show the cuts). The steaks are all PRIME and served perfectly. We had the scallops and pork belly appetizer which was excellent. The wife had the lamb chops and I had the bone-in cowboy steak. Both entrees were cooked to perfection with tasty sides. Had a truly outstanding meal with great service. I can highly recommend the Ribeye steak. Had a 20oz cut and it was seasoned perfectly, was cooked exactly as ordered, and melted as soon as it hit my mouth. Definitely up there with one of the best steaks I have ever had. My wife had the chicken Marsala and said it was very tasty. My son had the Chilean sea bass, which he said was very good. The homemade carrot cake was delicious. I recommend a date night here, but keep in mind that you get what you pay for, so don't go in thinking you are dining at the Old Western Sizzler wit prices to boot. We made a reservation. The atmosphere was cozey , and they had a piano player. My husband ordered the stuffed veal chops and the food was delish. His portion was large as well as a nice serving size including the sides. I ordered the stuffed sea bass It was very good but on the small side and sides were very small. We had great well made cocktails also. We did not have dessert. We live in myrtle and it was a 12 to 15 minute drive , a bit pricey but a nice special occasion place ! We will be back . read more
