This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. The last couple times I've been here the quality of food has gone down tremendously and the service has been okay. I went last night and ordered a wasabi tuna (rare) salad with a side of parm frites. The tuna was cooked to medium and not good. I was sad bc I had been looking forward to this salad all day. The frites were also not what they used to be. It looks like they got another brand from their wholesaler but they were not good. Not to mention the parmesan was literally powder. Not even real cheese. I ate two and couldn't stomach any more. Also the waiter was no where to be found for most of the evening. We had to constantly wait to order more drinks and ask for water. Don't think I'll be coming back here again. This is the straw that broke the camels back :( read more

Went there a few times, 2 times our table was forgotten. So we left twice! Not sure if the food is actually good. Multiple servers looked at me and my little daughter and pretended like they did not see us. I tried to get their attention and was ignored. The greeters in the front disappeared. So twice now we left and i believe that places get busy but for it to happen on multiple occasions is just so disappointing. I hope no one has had these experiences and that their food is good. read more

Our experience today is not the norm, but it was one of the worst experiences we have encountered in a long time. No sausage at all in a bowl of Gumbo . Not one. Zero sausage. And it is a sausage gumbo. Special of the day...Chicken artichoke pasta without a SINGLE SLIVER of artichoke? Really ? ($16) and although I expected the manager/owner to come talk to us... he didn't bother. We will wait a few weeks and hope the kitchen can get it together. Otherwise ... I say pass. We were seated pretty quick, a group of four. The drinks, a few of the happy hour specials were ordered and came in a few minutes. Usually we love this place but we went for kids night tonight and we ordered kids food first so they have time to eat. We ended up ordering 2 salads before there food came out and it took over 30 minutes before server mentioned that kitchen screwed up. so much so that our kids finished and were not having it before our food arrived so we had to take it to go. My biggest issue is that the server said there was a mixup and that's why our salads took over 30 minutes yet 0 compensation was offered. Work on your customer service. read more

One of the best places I have been to in quite a while. This is a Mandeville gem! Their sandwich breads are so unbelievably tasty. I have eaten here 5 or 6 times now and I have thoroughly enjoyed every single item from Bistro Byronz. Great place to sit and eat or hangout at the bar for cocktails and a dessert. Very enticing happy hour specials. Be careful! Lol! The service is quick and efficient and presented with a smile. Saturday night. Went for 5 pm. Early. No reservations are avail. Service was S.L.O.W. The pork chop for $17 was thin dry and unappetizing. A thick cut one chop would have been better flavor than two paper thin size and the sauce on white rice was mediocre. The hamburger steak and mashed potatoes was decent portion but the gravy was a powdered mix. Yucky. The first bite of the fish tacos had bones and the maix chou side was pedestrian and over seasoned. Being charged for a dollop of ranch for a kids meal fried chicken nuggets, I thought was very tacky. Next time -different place, better food and no wait!! read more

Located in the Chenier development, Bistro Byronz is an upscale, yet casual restaurant. I had tried Byronz when they first opened and it was just OK. I decided to give them another try and was pleasantly surprised. We started with a couple off appetizers from their summer menu. Tomato Bruschette and Scallops with a jalapeno hollandaise. The tomato bruschette came with four pieces topped with cheese, herbs and a load of tomatoes. I am not a huge tomato fan, but the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. The three scallops were perfectly cooked and topped by a very tasty hollandaise. The scallops came with some mixed greens with vinaigrette. The vinaigrette was very good. For entrees we ordered sandwiches and split them. The Bistro Bomber was toast beef with horseradish and caramelized onions. It came on 7 grain bread and a side of cole slaw. The sandwich was juicy and very flavorful. We also tried the Blackened Blue sandwich. It consisted of two fillet tails with blue cheese. This sandwich was also very good, plus it can be cooked to order. Service was just OK. After we were seated there was a long delay in being greeted by our server. He was acceptable, but not great. The hostess, however, was very friendly and attentive. With two glasses of wine, a beer, our meals and two kids meals, the bill was $100 with tip and tax. Considering the quality of the ingredients, I felt that was fair. If you're in the area and want an more upscale, yet casual meal, Bistro Byronz is that place. read more

I have been waiting to order from this place for a while, finally did so today and I'm not impressed at all, I asked for the Redfish Amadine, it comes with asparagus and potatoes, I asked to substitute the potatoes with the roasted veggie medley and they did but only included 1&1/2 asparagus, the fish is the size I would put if it was a kiddy meal and it's so dry it has the texture of a jerky more so than fish. We came during the lunch (at noon), and got our food at one- an hour later. I got the spicy banh mi -I thought it was ok but very fishy. The traditional burger was ok, nothing special. A cheesy topped homemade potato chips appetizer was followed by our entrées: Lemon Chicken pasta, Turkey burger on ciabatta, with bacon & feta & a side of sweet potato fries, & a classic Roast Beef, mashed potato, gravy & green beans, & Fried Chicken Breast & Parmesan salad.
