We came here with a large group to watch a game. Such a neat spot in Phoenixville! Their menu was perfect, with so many appetizer options to please our crowd. My personal favorite appetizer was the corn bread, which usually doesn't sound like much, but this corn bread impressed everyone at the table. It had a salty-sweet thing going on with maple syrup and topped with bacon. The crispy ribs and duck nachos were also highly recommended from everyone at the table. They had both unique options and classic favorites. Their dessert menu had some fun options as well. Can't wait to come back again and try out their dinner menu. I've been here before and after the renovations and I'll say that for sure they made a lot of damn good decisions in updating Bistro on Bridge. Don't get me wrong, we need good dives around to round out our town's offerings, but they took this place from a fun dive to a good, cosmopolitan place I'd expect to find in downtown Philly. The roofdeck -in good weather- is just awesome. You get to enjoy both fresh air and table games and good food. I didn't try the food before the renovations but the tacos I had last time I was here were really outstanding. Also, the multiple bars around mean you've got lots of options of where to look and judge the other patrons... just kidding... Came in twice this week latest was thursday and loved this place. The small plates were delicious and they're 5$ for happy hour. (the risotto balls were delicious). New beers AND a new cocktail menu and it has only been two days. Our sever was attentive and super funny and made the whole experience even better, cant remember her name though, but recall her mentioning she was a penn state grad! Went for a weekday dinner. Too hot to sit outside, which would have been fun on a cooler day. Happy hour specials are not served in the main dining room. Ordered a Smoked Gouda Burger which was a decent sized burger on a soft brioche bun with thick cut applewood bacon. Would have been great if they served it to medium as requested as opposed to the hockey puck that was presented to me. Should have returned it, but was too hungry to wait another 20 min. Fried were good as was the beer selection. Wife's chicken marsala had no pasta (unless it was offered as a side instead of the salad she got). Really enjoyed a night at Bistro on a rainy fall Saturday. The renovation is beautiful and it is truly an impressive physical space. We went upstairs to the Analog Room so we could hear the live music, and there was minor confusion with the hostess greeters about paying the tab upstairs as compared to down. The upstairs bartenders cleared stuff up quickly, though, and both levels could easily access the single tab. The upstairs has an impressive can and bottle beer selection, and the downstairs has a fabulous and diverse craft list. I wish there was a more extensive menu upstairs, but the snackies they had available were all good - basic chips and salsa, a solid meat and cheese plate. Staff was on point, we enjoyed ourselves and look forward to heading back and having a meal downstairs. Thanks for a good time! read more

Disappointed in the breakfast burrito & home fries I was given. The dry burrito only had egg and potatoes, nothing else that was listed on the menu was within it. No meat. So it was a vegetarian burrito, which I didn't want or order. Home fries were dry and overcooked as if it was either sitting out for awhile or was the end of the batch. Went for dinner with family, it was not the best experience. We waited 30 mins for a table, not the end of the world. We ordered our food and for 5 appetizers which was our entire me meal it took a little more than 45 minutes. I think what made it worse was the lack of leadership from management, our food came out and it was obviously in the window for a long time under heat lamps. We at one point just asked for the manager to check on the food, they said they would be right back and never came back to let us know a rough eta. We didn't even get a chance to eat here. The staff was garbage. The hostess told us the wait for our table would be between 10 minutes and 30 minutes. That's a ridiculous time estimate. This was my first meal at a restaurant since March 15. You would think anything would be five stars, but no. Nice draft beer selection. Food was not good. The shaved Brussels sprouts were swimming in some kind of liquid, I didn't eat mine. Balsamic vinegar gave it a very bitter,odd flavor.The General Tso's cauliflower had good flavor, but the texture was mushy. The "slaw" on the side looks like it was dumped out of a coleslaw mix bag from the grocery store. The scant dressing that was on it didn't help. Social distancing was in effect. Staff was nice. My husband and I showed up at Bistro on Wednesday around 4. We sat at the bar waiting for service while the female bartender discussed kayaking with a patron for an extended length of time. My husband and I decided to move on to a restaurant that appreciated our business. If you visit Phoenixville be sure to visit Sedona or Il Granaio. I will never go back here. The service alone is reason enough to give this place one star. Our server barely made eye contact and only spoke in one word answers. The appetizers were bland and my burger, which took 30 minutes to be served, was raw. While the bar itself looked nice, the food and service did not match. I have to admit, I was thoroughly impressed by the restaurant. However, I was less than impressed with the quality of a meal I had ordered. I ordered the fried mozzarella and was disappointed to learn that one of them was stone cold, one was barely lukewarm, and the 3rd was pipping hot. I enjoyed it none-the-less thanks to the warm tomato sauce on top. If you have kids, I definitely recommend the Mac and cheese. Since I wasn't too impressed with the mozzarella, I ended up eating some of my younger sister's Mac and cheese. It was incredibly good! On top of that, the service was quite fantastic and I have to say I was overjoyed to find everyone in the restaurant was very nice to every customer there. Went for the first time today as I've been looking forward to trying this place. It's a shame because I was thoroughly disappointed. Walking in the door, there was no host. We didn't want to be "that table" that seats themselves because my party and myself all work in the business. Waited ten minutes for a server to act like we we're inconveniencing her when she finally realized none of her other co workers who just STARED AT US we're going to do it. (Mind you I'm with my elderly father who has an issue with standing for more than a few moments at a time) once finally seated service was far too slow for a slow lunch shift. The only reason this place gets any stars is because our server was so nice. Albeit, he maybe needs a little more practice, he still was so kind and that stood out more than his other co workers. There's not enough characters allowed to say how GOD AWFUL the food was. The only good thing we're their fries and the kindness of one staff member. The Tacos are a damn disgrace by the way. Service was bad. Eleven of us for dinner and the food was brought out piecemeal over an hour in between the first and last entree. We were told someone dropped a tray of prepared food in the kitchen, and so we had to wait. We were penalized by their mistake. The manger was rude and not very hospitable. We overheard him yelling at the help in the back room. The server asked us if we wanted to speak with the manager instead of bringing the manager to us. Well, it is pretty overpriced. But it was a fun time. The people working there were really nice, and we actually didn't have a long wait for anything. It was moderately busy, nothing crazy. Missing toilet paper in the girl's bathroom does lay weight on my missing star in the rating. The food was okay. It honestly wasn't anything special. But by no means bad. We got the lettuce wraps to share, and I got the shaved Brussel sprouts, adding shrimp to them, which they were so kind to do. I asked for any sauce on the side, because I hate to waste a dish just because I don't like the sauce. It ended up being a good idea. The sauce was a lot too sweet for my taste. My boyfriend got the Buffalo chicken pizza. It was...just okay. He took about 2 slices home, and never ended up finishing it. Our friend got a cheeseburger. It was actually the most loved item for the table. He was quite happy with it. I think the upcharge for even fries is crazy, but they were really good, too. His girlfriend got wings and a ceasar salad. The wings were really disappointing. The sauce was wonderful, but the wings had seriously barely any meat on them, and they were sort of shriveled. Really gross. And overpriced, for sure. The salad had a lot of brown pieces in it, and burnt croutons. The dressing, she said was extremely sour. I wasn't going to try it after the face she made. The people are great. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The beer & whiskey list is built to satisfy everyone. Just don't go for the food. After 4 visits, I've found portions to be limited and not worth the price. For example, $13 for a Cubano made with one thin slice of both ham and pork. Had early dinner reservations for Fathers Day with my husband and friends. We were looking forward to trying this resultant. We were seated at the high bar which I had asked if we could be moved to a booth with a bench - as I had just had surgery and could not navigate a high hat or a metal chair for an extended period of time. There were 4 booths open and one getting ready to leave. When my husband went to request a booth and was very specific of the pain and discomfort I was in- THE MANAGER instead did not accommodate and purposefully put us a at a table. I personally approached him and quietly/privately expressed my pain and asked if it would be problem to move to a booth. He said he would rearrange things as some were leaving. 10 minutes went by and the waitress said she was goin to have them clear the booth behind us only to have to come back to to us that THE MANAGER that was not going to LET THAT HAPPEN FOR US . When husband approached again....THE MANAGER was COMPLAINING that this women (me) was complaining and that he was not going to give in to me (? ). I had surgery....out of the hospital only 5 days wanted to have a nice evening with my family after a harrowing week.....This is an ADULT....the young adults at this restaurant knew the right way to conduct-themselves.....unfortunately THE MANAGER did not. We will never set foot in this restaurant again....and hope he does need to rely on peoples goodwill ....he is not worthy. read more

We showed up with a group of 8 about an four before the place was closing and ordered a round of cheap bottled beers and nothing else. After sitting there for twenty minutes with no server coming up to us, we finally placed our quick order. After another five minutes, a "bouncer" came up to our group and said we had to leave because someone was stumbling in our group, but no one had left the table the entire time. After half our group had left to go outside, the bouncer then grabbed the last three people in our group and told them that the other people in our group smelled like "weed" and had to leave but they could stay, mind you everyone had just come from a BRIDAL SHOWER. The servers are great, and watching the hockey game is why I come. But how do you make a bad burger? Fries? The food here is always a miss (Bistro Dos is the same. What they get away calling Mexican food is laughable). With the exception of the pretzel. So if you want to watch the hockey game and have a pretzel and beer, this is the spot. Before the firebird festival, we decided to have a nice long dinner. The kind that you don't order your appetizers until after you've had a drink, order your entrees after you've eaten your appetizers, probably the way you're supposed to enjoy food. We started with risotto balls and a side of a pesto dipping sauce. They were excellent. They were fried to give a little color and bite, but the inside was still creamy. For entrees, I ordered their prosciutto and asparagus angel hair pasta. It was basically like a twist of bacon and peas in carbonara. I loved it! Jeff ordered their chicken and chorizo bow tie pasta. It was very unseasoned and the chorizo had no flavor at all. When the waitress noticed it was barely touched, she said that the lack of seasoning was the number one complaint and that they were redoing their menu. If it wasn't for this dish, this would have been a four star dinner. Definitely worth trying again. read more

The layout of the place was kinda strange, walking through tables/game area, to the bar in the back. We were going across the street to the Steel City Coffee House for a concert, so we need timely service and we got it. Now, the food. The Italian Sausage soup was full of oregano. Who are these chefs who think that oregano adds flavor, it takes over the flavor of the entire soup! Also, it was extremely salty. Some of us have hearts who cannot take so much salt. Next up was the lettuce wraps. Included in a mixture of tiny chopped pieces of chicken and onions and the like was a weak flavored sauce and, again, tons of salt. The lettuce was fresh pieces of bib lettuce, too weak to roll without breaking, and not a proper amount to service the dish of crap to put in it. The cuban egg rolls were average at best, and with more salt. The bartender kicked a keg, we were sitting in front of the taps, and the beer shot out at my friend and permanently spotted her shirt. No offer of a free beer in apology. If this is the best bar in Phoenixville, as mentioned by someone else, I would hate to go to the others. read more

When visiting my friend in town, we somehow always end up here. Downstairs has decent food and a solid tap list. If you don't see what you like on tap, they have a good bottle list too. I never thought I would be that into shuffle board, but after a few practice shots, I felt like I could run the table.
