Food was really delicious, and it was a good portion especially for the price. The service was good very friendly people. It was a nice area outside and inside.

Cool spot located up the stairs to the right of the church doors. Has a great ambiance and amazing healthy and delicious options. Wonderful service super nice staff.

I have a "thing" for office building cafeterias. I know its weird... but I've never really worked in a huge office building so I find these places fascinating. My SO and I were in the neighborhood and I saw the good reviews for this place so just had to check it out for a weekday breakfast. It's not easy to find. Although it is on a building on Wilshire, you can't actually find or enter the Bistro on Wilshire. Look for signs on Mariposa and follow the signs UP stairs to the hidden little bistro with a shaded outdoor seating area. Everyone was very nice when we entered. They have many options, including so many interesting Asian options for breakfast and lunch. The woman behind the counter was delightful and the service was very fast and made you feel right at home. Some cafeteria set-ups can be so confusing it's like a maze (I'm looking at you Clifton's), but this one is so unpretentious and easy to navigate. I ordered a vegetarian omelet with sourdough toast. My SO went in a completely different direction when he saw that the daily special was fish and chips... so being an aficionado, his choice was easy. My omelet was OK... not fantastic but it was topped with LOTS of avocado, which I will never complain about. my SO's fish was good but the real star was the fries, which I couldn't resist "sharing". I would definitely come back to this cute little hideaway... I don't think I'd try breakfast again, but for lunch it seems to be a step above the myriad of delis in K-Town and an opportunity to try some unique homemade Asian dishes too. Great prices. Cute little dining room indoors (like something out of an Americana painting) and a patio with plenty of shade too.

Racist owners. If you're not Asian, don't go there. They didn't serve us our food but they did serve the people who came in right after who were Asian. They also didn't give us all the food we paid for and still demanded a tip.

This is my second time to have breakfast here and it never disappoints! The french toast is my favorite. I love the ambiance as well and how there are many plants.

Super hidden spot. Food was delicious. When we went it was slow and seemed like a front for something lol. They brought out the order and they heard a wrong number when we ordered. They replaced the items and refunded the difference. Would definitely go back because how good the food was. Love the ambiance. It felt cozy with all the plants

This place is an amazing hidden gem in Ktown!! I have been coming here consistently for some time now and they have never disappointed. There's nothing like this Korean mom and pop ran place with unmatched service (they are seriously the sweetest!!!) & true homemade cooking in every way. Such a wide selection of foods from varying cultural backgrounds & their breakfast burrito and fried rice are... just wow. To die for!! The outside patio is really beautiful too. It's a great place to come with your books and laptop to study while enjoying the greenery and quiet ambience. Love, love, love everything about this place!

Came for the breakfast fried rice and it was as good as expected! The dishes definitely have a homemade feeling and you can tell that the owner genuinely cares for his customers (he stayed open passed closing hours just to give me my meal). It's definitely hard to find and you must creep up stairs. But I'd definitely recommend!

This place is absolutely my new favorite spot. It's all cooked by the owner who has been in business for 36 years. You can taste the care and love in the food, it really feels like an amazing homemade meal (don't tell my mom, but this place beats her home cooked) They really have everything, sushi/teriyaki, American, Chinese but it's ALL done perfectly. My favorite meals so far are the breakfast rice, biscuits and gravy, French toast, and breakfast sandwich. I'll definitely be back for more.

Keep looking. You're almost there...and then you circle the block. Um..where IS this BOTB place anyway? (Just west of and next to RFK School, and just east of Big 5 Sporting) If you're on Wilshire but the numbers don't quite line up, look for the big black metal post that says: Bistro. Then, walk straight ahead, up that ramp, and keep going. You'll get there. Next time I go, I'll just start up on Mariposa, to the west. The stairs will lead you there. I put this up front because I spent way too long looking for the entrance. Yes, there will be a next time for me at BOTB. It's clean, spacious and airy, tasty, and cheap. Breakfast or lunch. The offerings looked fine and recognizable for Breakfast. However, Breakfast Rice intrigued, so I went for that. Good choice. Specially if you're hungry. Eggs, rice, veggies, some sausage. Nice. I'd get it again, or maybe I'd try something else. There's an outdoor part that looks very comfy. I opted for inside, which is even bigger. As enthusiastic as all the reviews here are, I don't quite think it's Five Stars, however, this Bistro is a solid choice.

It's really early and I was craving something bc I'm a bit exhausted from cooking. Found this mom and pop place a bit hidden across from halal guys. You have to go up the stairs where the sign Bistro is placed on the outside of the building to go straight back to the left. Inside was clean and comfy and I received a warm welcome from the couple who run the Blvd. I ordered the fried rice which was great, the gravy and biscuits which were so delicious and turkey club for my bf. The prices were affordable, the food was tasty and the customer service was a 10. Please support these small businesses as they only know what they are good at and need support in marketing and letting everyone know they are still here & open!! I'll be back again soon :)

It remains a unique addition to the neighborhood, as well as a good place to grab some interesting dishes. Since the opening of this particular business, the Zinc chain has opened in a few other locations. Those locations are much newer in not only their establishment but their design. This is not to say that this is still not an interesting, well-designed business, but, with time, it has become a little bit rundown. I hate to say it, but that is the truth. This location could really use an update and perhaps a deep cleaning. I was, in fact, kind of surprised at the condition of this business, for example, on the way towards their restrooms. From my opinion, it needs an clean up and an update. Also, the litter that surrounded some of the outdoor tables where I was sitting at my most recent visit was very surprising. This is just something to keep in mind if you're coming here for your first visit. In terms of what they offer for food, though it has evolved a bit over the years, they still have a great, heath-based menu, with some very interesting choices. For all of you vegetarians and vegans out there, you will, for sure, be able to find some tasty food to eat. Once upon a time, this restaurant was impacted with tons and tons of people. It was constantly full with people either going to the bakery and/or sitting down for table service. Shortly past their opening each day, there would be a line of people waiting for service. This seems to have changed, however. Meaning, if you're looking for an interesting place to eat, with some good dishes, at the far Southeast side of DTLA, near the lofts district, and you want a place without a long wait to get a table and/or your food, this may still be your place to go.

I got an omelette and it was fresh and light, but very small for the price and no bread included. Now for the rest, the service was appalling. Food came out quickly but after that we were barely checked on. We had to ask several times for things that we ordered and had to flag down the waitress to order a second drink and they took forever. We could understand that it was busy but the waitress never apologized or said anything like they were understaffed or anything. Also, we had a few questions about the menu and our drinks and the waitress would just say, "I think so?" or give a vague answer. She didn't seem very knowledgeable about the menu at all. Maybe she was new, but clearly training was lacking. I don't think I'll be returning but since I see many reviews relating to service issues, hopefully management is able to address the deficit

While here, they ordered a salad with cherries and pecans that was pretty amazing. I think that may have been one of the better salads I've eaten. In addition to that, a cucumber burrata salad was ordered, and that was made well too. When my venison burger arrived, I took a few bites and it had the exact flavor I was hoping for and I thought the burger was done extremely well. I liked the melon one 9/10 Overnight oats is good too but on the higher end, 7/10 nothing crazy but still good If I go back the butter, burger and pop Benedict would be the move or bacon
