Bodega Park is one of my favorite coffee shops! Everything I've tried has been amazing. My go-to items are the Chopped Cheese Sandwich, the Egg, Avocado & Cheese Sandwich, and the Yuzu Sparkling Drink--they're all so flavorful and always hit the spot. Their matcha is delicious, their coffee is consistently great, and the music always creates such a fun, relaxed atmosphere. A special shoutout to Joseline, who is always so warm, welcoming, and friendly every time I visit. The rest of the staff is just as kind and makes every experience enjoyable. This place has been on my list for a while, and I finally got a chance to visit. At first glance, you can't really tell they serve food. It looks like a typical trendy coffee shop, which I'm not mad about, but I feel like you'd only know to come here for lunch if someone told you about it beforehand. I ordered the turkey avocado sandwich. Pro tip: the lunch menu starts at 10:30 a.m. The sandwich didn't look like much at first, but one bite in and I was sold. It has all the basics you'd want in a turkey avocado sandwich, but what really stood out were the generous portions. They definitely don't skimp on the ingredients. The real star, though, was the aged balsamic glaze. Whatever magical concoction they're using, it adds the perfect amount of sweetness and ties everything together. I know some people don't like sweet elements in their sandwiches, but that's their loss and more for me. It was absolutely delicious. The space itself has plenty of seating and is great whether you're looking to get some work done, catch up with a friend, or just enjoy your meal and coffee. My only heads-up is parking. It was a bit of a struggle. I had to circle the block a few times because most of the available spots were 15-minute parking, and the street is busy enough that turning around isn't always easy. I've been multiple times for weekday lunch, and the queue has varied from nonexistent to trailing out the door. Most recently, I opted for the signature Bodega Chopped Cheese, as well as a Misugaru Black Sesame. My sandwich was deceptively delicious. My favorite component was the panini-pressed sesame hero roll, which put standard hoagie rolls to shame. The sesame-forward flavor was addictive, and the crispy texture held up surprisingly well to the toppings. Meanwhile, my rich, nutty misugaru was topped with an addictive sesame crema. The espresso version reminded me of a premium Frappuccino, while the espresso-free version channeled cookies & cream shake vibes. The service was efficient, and my bill ran $25. The least palatable part of the meal was the price. This is the spot for a chopped cheese in Southern California. Bodega Park is a fast casual Korean-American spot that's bringing well-done breakfast to Silverlake. The chopped cheese is killer. It's high quality ground beef, ooey gooey melted cheese, and fresh veggies all on a perfect roll. This is your hangover cure.  The breakfast burrito is awesome. It's extremely flavorful. The chicken is tender, the tortilla is warm and crispy on the outside, and the whole thing is dripping cheese. An underrated option for the breakfast burrito scene in LA. The coffee here is also good. I got the black sesame iced latte, and they put a lot of black sesame foam on, making it a decadent, rich, and nutty way to get your caffeine. The Bodega Chopped Cheese was mouthwatering and the ground Angus beef was succulent and flavorful. The fresh shredded lettuce and tomato brought brightness to the sandwich and balanced the beef and melted American cheese so well. We also ended up trying the chicken wings, which were juicy and delectable! They came with a Yuzu Crema - a top tier sauce. If you're craving a simple breakfast sandwich - I think this is your spot. I was absolutely craving a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich to get my day started. I checked Yelp for "breakfast sandwich" and after reading a bit on how this was once Black Hogg- I was convinced. There's plenty of metered street parking just in front on Sunset but if you're looking for free parking there's oodles just a few blocks away. As always, read the signs :) I walked in, ordered and waited a few minutes for my bag. While I waited there were at least 8 sandwiches that had gone out to the restaurant patrons seated both inside and outside. All sandwiches which looked large/long and lovingly wrapped. It's on the small side, and bland. If I were closer to home I would have added some chipotle mayo or something to give it some kick. The Bodega Chopped Cheese on the other hand was plenty big, and had a nice jalapeño kick. It's basically a cheeseburger, chopped up and served in a nice sandwich roll instead of a bun, but the jalapeño adds greatly to the flavor. For some inexplicable reason, the Silver Lake portion of Sunset Blvd has become the coffee capital of the city. This is important context because I walk past 15 other coffee shops on my 1.5 mile walk to Bodega Park. Their iced mocha is just that much better than any of the others'. That's only amplified by the aji chicken breakfast burrito. It is by far my favorite breakfast burrito in the city and I feel like not enough people are talking about it. This place is a good spot. I gave a 3 star, but it should've been more of a 3.5 with room to go up. Here's why. This morning I went on the quest to get the perfect breakfast burrito. That's a tall order. I googled articles, searched Yelp, read reviews, checked ratings, etc. There were some slightly higher choices, but they were in downtown area or further and I wanted to keep it echo park, Silverlake area this morning. I landed on Bodega Park that was pretty up there overall. Anyways, was very intrigued by the chopped cheese, but ultimately it was a breakfast burrito that I was searching for and the cashier said the breakfast burrito was very popular so I steadied my will and set upon the breakfast burrito. Upon first cracking it open, the melted cheese and smells enticed me (as you can see in my video) and it tasted good! But.. was it on the level of top breakfast burrito on the east side even let's say.. and it fell short. I think the classic breakfast burrito would be beef, sausage, or carne asada... this one was chicken (and there's no substitutions). I also wanted to add avocado to the order, but no modifications to the order are allowed (they can provide the avocado on the side tho, but I opted out). I think it was slightly too cheesy for my taste. Egg was a little over cooked. Would've liked to have some tater tots or potato with a little crunch. I just think without avocados coming default as part of the burrito and lacking a little texture (crunch, etc) this burrito falls short of a top breakfast burrito. Now, again, it was good and I think to fill the belly and have a little morning vibe getting a bite and sitting here would be totally fine. I like the vibe, the customer service was nice. The cashier was friendly. My rating system is just heavily weighted towards pure food taste. I think they do put attention to detail with the food, but it was just slightly missing a few marks for me. I also got a matcha which felt a little flat in flavor and then tried the fried chicken Caesar sandwich (I think that's what it's called)- which also had decent presentation, but chicken was slightly dry - like not too bad, but it's just tricky to get it perfectly juicy and the right amount of crunch... combined with the bread and I think the croutons in it.. it was a little dry. So all 3 things I tried didn't hit exactly today. However! The one item that genuinely attracted me here this morning The Chopped Cheese is the one item I didn't try! Based on how it looks and the combination of ingredients I think that's the one thing I really gotta try and I think it's going to hit. If and when I try that, I'll see if my rating might change. We were so excited to try this place and tried really hard to not have high expectations but... wow it really surpassed our expectations! This business is located on the busy street of Sunset, not too far from Silverlake. Parking is a challenge in the area, so be patient or come early. It comes cut in 2 pieces and the sandwich itself is quite large - can be one big meal or 2 smaller meals. The taste reminded me a bit like in-n-out. I happened to be in the area for a pop-up, and I always wanted to try this place! Parking can be a bit tricky here, but we fortunately did not have to take too long to find street parking. We came about close to 11am on a Saturday afternoon, and it was already quite busy. There was a line to order and nearly all the tables were occupied. Modern & casual type of coffee sandwich shop! Kind of like how Open Market is, but there sandwiches here are wayyy better. We both wanted the Bodega Chopped Cheese since we were convinced that it looked the most delicious on the menu, but we also wanted to try more items on their menu so we could split and share. We then ended up getting the Aji Chicken Breakfast Burrito to try too. It didn't take too long for our order to be completed, so we were surprised how efficient the team was! Once we got our order we started off with the breakfast burrito first. It came with this small hot sauce, which paired really well with the burrito. The burrito itself was really good, which it was quite loaded with all the cheese, potatoes, chicken, etc. It really did not disappoint! Then we tried the Chopped Cheese, and I actually liked that one the most. It was my first time trying a 'Chopped Cheese', so it was very delightful! It honestly reminded me of an in n out LOL but the cheese was really good, the lettuce and tomatoes were really fresh, and the beef was super flavorful. I was actually most surprised with the bread they used, which it was very toasty and fragrant of the sesame seeds on top. Overall, the sandwiches here were realllyy good! I was debating whether to get coffee here or not too since I also wanted to try Camel in Silverlake. I felt like I should have tried the coffee here instead haha. I would say that the prices here are a bit high for the sandwiches; however, the fresh ingredients they used and how they assembled and made these feel like it was very well worth to spend. read more

Very solid breakfast joint. The food and coffees are on point. The chopped cheese is bomb. The sesame roll they use is crunchy on the outside. I really enjoyed that sandwich. The Misugaru black sesame latte is strong and flavorful. Service was fast. The food was fresh and piping hot. read more
