There is much discussion about how much roast chicken should cost, but Badaboom stands out in that it is transparent about the pricing. The chickens are the freshest they can be, humanely raised and prepared with great care. And it shows in the dish that arrives at your table which is a chicken with roasted potatoes that is greater than the sum of its parts, filling and worth exactly what you paid. All the other dishes I've had here are equally fresh and beautifully prepared. The bread and butter is not to be missed. The ratatouille is amazing and will convert a veggie hater. I recently tried their beet salad and could not stop eating it. What I really come here for is the riz au lait. You might be tempted to get the chocolate mousse, which is of course good, but if you want a great dessert get the rice pudding. It is unlike anything you have had. It's light but decadent, crispy but creamy and a delicious mix of buttery caramel and sweet vanilla with a hit of salt.

It was so bland. Luckily we also ordered French fries which were delicious and would def order again. Overall I do still plan on coming back to try the chicken schnitzel and steak frites. I liked the confidence, so I went with it. Glad I did. The steak was on point, perfectly cooked with a rich peppercorn sauce. It came with a potato gratin that looked good but could've used a little more flavor. To finish things off, I tried the Gauffre Belge for dessert, and it was surprisingly good, sweet without being over the top. Overall, BKB is a solid neighborhood gem, good food, great drinks, and a fair price point. Most entrées run between $20-$33. My hubby enjoyed it. The first course was Our Favorite Oysters with Peeko Oyster from Long Island, topped with Sorrel, Cucumber, and Oro Blanco Granita. It was a bit hard to eat since you have to peel off the shells, we sure got our hands messy. The fragrance of curry was amazing, and the flavor of all the spices were great. Just wish if they provided wet towel with this dish though... The third course was Crepe Soufflé with Morel Mushrooms. The mushrooms were firm and meaty, plump with earthy, nutty flavor. Crepe was egg-y in a good way, soft, light and fluffy like a sponge. So tasty! The fourth course was Le Meunière with Skate, Brown Butter, Lemon, and Brassicas. The exterior of the fish had kind of crispy-ish batter, which I really enjoyed. Marinated Brassicas were super lemony which complimented the fish perfectly. Delicious dish! Last but not least, Buckwheat Sticky Toffee Pudding with Salted Calvados Toffee Sauce, and Whipped Crème Fraîche. To my delight, Kaskade is now offering outdoor dining and plus their backyard patio is now open. My latest visit to Kaskade was a bit of a reunion of sorts. I enjoyed a marvelous brunch with my dear friends. Although the brunch menu is limited, it had a decent variety of option to choose from. We all enjoyed the burger, which was cooked to perfection. I must say, the chef is excellent. I've never had a bad meal. Period. The chefs attention to details and presentation is superb. The staff can't be left out here because the service is outstanding as well. I can't wait to return for dinner in the coming days.
