Farmers Market fresh! Just one guy taking orders and doing all the food prep but despite that, we just waited a few minutes to order and about 5 minutes to get our food. I got the "Chinese Chicken Salad" and the roasted tomato soup. The soup wasn't from the can which was awesome. I mention that because I can never get a decent tomato soup at most places but this one had garlic, onion, and seasoned well. My girlfriend got the chicken Cesar and she liked it. I'm a fan and I will be back. The portions were a good size even for me (it's a salad place so if you're looking to pig out maybe try papa John's next door). It's a cute spot and clean. I placed an order online and after 40 minutes of waiting, I went in to see why it was taking so long. My order was sitting on the counter. Absolutely no customers in the restaurant. I asked them whyI wasn't notified and why it took so long. Nobody could give me any answers. I was frustrated and on top of that , the food not that good. The tomatoes were pinkish tan and the pita croutons tasted bad, like the oil they cooked them in was rancid. I am giving 4 stars because the food is great and because half of my encounters have been pleasant. All other employees have been so kind and helpful! There is just one employee that greets you with attitude and really makes you feel like an inconvenience. Will ask you to speak up when she obviously isn't listening. I love this place but wish it was more consistent and would train their staff. There were still a lot of toppings that I didn't put on so just so many different options to choose from. He's a complainer though so Salad was delicious, we poured the full dressing on and my husband shook it like a kardashian sister. This was my go to spot for lunch, I would get the build your own salad at least 3 times a week. The produce was fresh and even though a little pricey I was willing to pay the $17 for the good quality produce. And even willing to pay it when I noticed the decline in the amount they were putting into the salad. It went from like a handful of cucumbers to about 3 or 4. So with the full size there was a ton of room left in the box. So the full size was just enough for a decent sized lunch. I just went in and they discontinued the full size and only offer the half size now. It just sucks when the owners cut backs and greed ruin a good quality establishment. Like geez $17 for a salad wasn't enough for you guys? Now you want to lower the quantity even more than you already did? The food is really good quality thats why I was willing to pay top dollar for it. But their greed doesn't even give you the option anymore. Just be prepared for a small salad. Recommendation to the owner if you are so concerned with how much food is going out charge by the lb instead of not even giving customers the option for a full sized salad. I only tried this place, because deli on the corner in Redlands was remodeling I thought I found my new favorite salad spot at better bite. I was wrong. If anyone is looking for a good quality salad spot now, due to the decline in better bite I recommend deli on the corner. Once they open back up!
