Stopped here during a weeklong "Lobster Rolling" trip through Maine. This cute little food truck can certainly put out some great rolls! They have 6 different styles of rolls, so something for everyone to choose from. My boyfriend and I love Connecticut style and these guys nailed it on the head. The bun is nicely toasted, the meat is fresh and cold and topped with some amazingly hot butter. If I had any complaint, it would be that the butter tended to crystallize since the temperature differences were so drastic. But the meat was nice and tender, they pile it high, and it was incredibly tasty! Would definitely go back! read more

While on our quest to find the best lobster roll in Portland, we stumbled upon Bite into Maine on yelp. Reviews looked promising and we were stoked to finally get a bite of what would possibly be the best lobster roll I've had in my life thus far. This truck is located right by the iconic Portland Head Lighthouse, which was perfect for us as it was on our bucket list. Killing two birds with one stone? Count us in. There was a line but it moved pretty quickly. They offer the classic roll and a few different styles of lobster rolls. We decided to stay true to the lobster roll and got one Maine style lobster roll and one Connecticut style. Both rolls were superb and what I loved most was that they really packed in the lobster here. They don't skimp out in the least. Each bite was filled with plump lobster meat. Needless to say, they really let the lobster be the star here. Bite into Maine is the prime example of what a perfect lobster roll looks like. If they had one of these trucks back home, it'd be dangerous for me. read more

I had my eye on a legit Maine lobster roll while we road tripped through the Portland area and found this place about a month ahead. We hiked through the park here and took all of our lighthouse pics, then made our way to their food truck, up on the hill. The views from this location were pretty sweet. We really enjoyed our lobster rolls from Bite Into Maine. At first when I read the reviews of this food truck having some of the best lobster rolls in Maine, I was reluctant. However, they lived up to the hype. The lobster rolls were plentiful. We tried the Connecticut and the Chipotle. The only thing we were disappointed with was that the CT Roll was ice cold with warm butter poured over it. We believe this was because the lobster had just been delivered. When we first arrived they were actually out of lobster but were restocked quickly. If the meat in the CT roll was warm, this would easily be five out of five. There's a dang good reason that this place gets solid reviews and 5 stars for most posts here. Had the Connecticut Lobster Roll and the Maine Lobster Roll. Both are excellent, hard to judge which is better but the buttery flavor of the Maine Roll just barely wins overall. I tried the lobster roll from the store front in town first and the quality was much better. I should have taken my family to the store front instead of the food truck. Now I know. So I was disappointed in this lobster roll. It was all chopped up and just average. Where is the whole lobster claws people? On top of that, they barely made a slit on the toast so it basically sat on top of the toast instead of inside it.
