Lobster roll is great. The large size seems stuffed with lobster, and came with a side of cape cod chips. I enjoyed the Maine style Wait is a little annoying. Waited 40min including lining up + waiting for food after ordering. Also annoying is finding parking (and having to pay for it). The park is cool, to kill some time after eating. read more

Cute place a little off the beaten path. Love the concept of the lobster roll flight so we tried 3 versions. The picnic was my favorite with the Cole slaw adding a nice crunchy freshness. The curry lobster was good but would make a better dip than it was on the roll. The chipotle could have been twice as spicy. That said, the lobster quality wasn't as prime as other places we ate (more small pieces and shreds than chunks) but lots of different flavor profiles to try so worth checking out if you're kind of bored with Mayo or butter. read more

Four friends and I from around the country met for a four-day junket in the Portland area, and Bite Into Maine, recommended by our VRBO host, was our first stop. The 6-ounce rolls were loaded with sweet, tender lobster meat and drenched with butter, and we loved the potato chips served alongside. Cold drinks included a very spicy ginger beer, which I loved, one friend not so much. The young woman who took our order was charming, and service was fast. Ambiance was nice, picnic table overlooking the Portland Head Light. Not cheap, but worth every penny. read more

Excellent stop while visiting the light house. Fresh goodness. And with a moxie no less. So we had lobster rolls, that were just amazing - just go, don't even keep reading. We also enjoyed a Whoppie pie that was homemade as well. It was so good!!! The truck was very clean, the service was super friendly, and I loved that there was some picnic tables right out front that we could use. Everything was exceptionally clean. Stopped by Portland for a quick trip and of course needed to get myself a good Maine lobster roll! Bite into Maine is a food truck located in Cape Elizabeth where you can eat a lobster roll while looking at scenic coastlines and lighthouses. The atmosphere is unbeatable! I ordered the Maine style lobster roll which comes with mayo and chives but I thought the lobster roll fell short of expectations. I really wish there was more mayo and overall the lobster roll felt a bit dry. My roll had very little mayo and had I known I would've asked for extra mayo! I got the 6 oz lobster roll which came with a good amount of fresh lobster meat. The portion also came with a side of chips included with the price of the roll. Bite of Maine is a must visit when you're visiting Cape Elizabeth & the Portland Head Lights. There was a bit of a wait, but try to grab a seat in one of the nearby picnic tables so you have a place to sit when your food is ready. I love lobster rolls and my go to is always the Connecticut with melted butter. We opted for the 6oz and it did not disappoint. They pour on the butter right before handing it to you and it was delicious. Since we were in Maine, we also got the classic Maine style lobster roll and it had just the right amount of mayo. For what this is, it is perfect! We were able to try their food at an event at Sunflower Farm. The staff - super chill and nice and they work fast to get you the food, in a nice presentable fashion. Create a family type of environment in the way they chat with customers. They are so friendly and engaging, you forget you are at a food truck. They have so many delicious options that come out of this truck, not sure how they do it. Many types of options...of Course for us, the Maine style was perfect! The prices are the cheapest, but they are good. read more

We made a special trip to find this lobster roll cart and it was well worth the long drive. They have a pretty nice selection of lobster rolls and they each hit the spot in a different way. The personal favorite was the Connecticut roll, nothing beats a classic hefty lobster roll with warm butter. The Maine roll was also very good and the wasabi roll had a nice twist on the classics. This is a must try if you're driving through Maine as you get phenomenal views in the park while chowing down on some lobster rolls that are worth every penny. read more

If you go out to the Portland Head Light definitely check this place out. It's a food truck with very little seating right around the truck but there are a decent number of picnic tables a short walk away. The park it sits in has a lot of things to see and do so you could definitely spend a good amount of time there. Now, back to the real reason to visit - the lobster rolls! I got mine Connecticut style with drizzled butter. The food came pretty quick. For those expecting warm lobster, this is served cold, but don't let that dissuade you from giving it a try. They also have a bunch of other styles, including Maine style (with mayo) but that's just not my thing though I'm sure it's excellent. I had the 4oz, which may seem a bit pricey at ~$30 but that's the going rate for lobster these days and this was definitely worth the price. Good sized chunks of delicious quality lobster and some interesting drinks to go along with it. The service was pretty quick and the staff were very friendly. One thing we learned on our visit is that you can get a ride out to the park pretty easily, but it can be a challenge to get a ride back. If you don't have a car, you may want to make sure you have the number of a cab or ride service on you Uber/Lyft seem to like to cancel a lot and can leave you waiting for a very long time. read more

It wasn't busy when I went in so that was great no waiting. The shop is midsize. Love the warehouse/garage vibe I get from it. Whoopie pie was good , the lobster roll said Connecticut style so I assumed it was a hot lobster roll, it turns out it was a cold lobster roll with warm butter. I personally prefer the warm lobster rolls but it wasn't bad at all the lobster roll had plenty of meat. The blueberry Maine soda was a great top off. read more

So good I came back two days in a row. 6oz Connecticut comes cold with warm butter on a warm split roll and side of kettle potato chips. I asked for a side of wasabi mayo but didn't need it, because the simple lobster roll was just so dang good on its own. Worth every penny, and service from different people both days was so pleasant. Tried the woopie pie and the cold cream center was so delicious and not overly sweet. If you like black licorice or a blend of dr.pepper and root beer then you'll love Moxie soda. I also had a local spicy ginger root beer which was indeed, spice forward but necessary to settle a tummy full of lobster goodness! It's pretty windy, but the lighthouse tower behind the food trailer is such a gorgeous view and sets the tone for a MUST TRY MEAL IN MAINE. read more

I got the lobster roll and the chips. However, I was surprised with all the other reviews that said this was like one of the best lobster roslls They had I don't really think the same. I'm not sure but I just wasn't really feeling the seasonings on it. The service was OK. They could improve on their service. Obviously having a food truck and the middle of Cape, Elizabeth is probably one of the most gorgeous views you could ever have! read more

For our last stop in Maine, we came to Bite into Maine for our last lobster roll. Staff is super friendly, but compared to other places in Maine I've had lobster rolls ($29.95) this is just okay. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but the bar is just so high here. Haha. The Maple Chipotle BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich ($11) was pretty good as well. I liked the pickled onions and juicy marinated pork combination on a soft grilled ciabatta. Parking costs $5 for 2hrs. If it's not foggy you can take your food and sit in an area that has a closer view to the lighthouse. read more

Grabbed a lobster roll here to fuel for our scenic walk along the lighthouse and coast line and it was easily the best ever lobster roll I've ever put in my mouth. The roll was overflowing with tons of chilled lobster coated in a little bit of mayo and chives and the bun was perfectly plush yet buttery and toasted on the outside. Service is pretty fast for a food truck, and there are a few benches for you to sit down and eat if you're not looking to have a picnic elsewhere in the park. Only qualm I had for this meal was how dirty the premise was -- tons of garbages overflowing and on the floor and the picnic benches of desperate need of a wipe down. Would recommend to grab a lobster roll here but take it to go with a nice cold maine blueberry soda. read more

This was the grand finale of our lobster roll binge of the Northeast, and it just so happened to be the best one we had on the whole trip. You can't beat the views here. And the lobster rolls were abundant, fresh, and ohhhhhh so delicious. Don't forget to grab a blueberry soda while you're there. There are other lobster trucks in the park, but don't entertain them. Yep, it's worth the hype. I tried the chipotle lobster roll in 4oz size. The chunks of lobster were perfectly cooked and the chipotle flavor was hinted, but didn't overpower the lobster flavor. It came with potato chips. The 4oz was actually the perfect size, but I wouldn't say no to go bigger! We arrived around 11:15am and it was already open - there was a crowd of people already formed and ordering. A large international group placed a big order, so it ended up taking some time to get that order done. The smaller orders went much quicker after that. read more

The service was great and the one at the counter recommended the butter and it was a really good recommendation. I finished it all in one sitting!! After visiting the picturesque lighthouse, we were hungry for lobster, and we discovered that some of the best lobster rolls are served in a food truck within the lighthouse complex. We got the Maine roll, the Connecticut roll, 2 clam chowders, and a whoopie pie. I liked the Connecticut roll more than the Maine roll because it was chilly and the warm butter made it a more enjoyable meal than the Maine roll. However, the Maine roll was delicious too. The chowders were delicious too. The whoopie pie was awful for me, it was extremely sweet and tasted average. read more

This was our favorite lobster roll in Maine! We had tried a lobster boil closer to Bar Harbor and another popular lobster location and this was our favorite. I was a little wary as we had seen so many rave reviews prior to arriving and didn't want to be let down but I am happy to report that this does live up to the hype. This specific location is inside Fort Williams Park just off the overflow parking lot. There are a few picnic tables in front of the truck but there are many other tables located throughout the park with scenic views of the lighthouse and water. There was a line when we arrived around noon on a Thursday but it does move pretty quickly. We waited maybe 5-10 minutes for our two rolls to come out. We got the wasabi and chipotle lobster rolls and boy oh boy were they yummy. My preference is having the rolls dressed in a little mayo otherwise I feel it is a little flavor lacking even with the butter. The wasabi roll had just a hint of wasabi, nothing overpowering at all. I personally love wasabi so I could have done with a higher dose of wasabi but I understand not everyone likes that. The chipotle had a little smokiness and lots of flavor. The chips included were crispy. There is also a generous lemon wedge included. Give Bite into Maine a shot - it is a great option for lobster rolls and this location has beautiful views! read more

Delicious! Chowder & lobster roll were fantastic. They combined 2 different lobster rolls for us. Lobster was delicious. Potato salad was average for us southerners. Grabbed the local root beer & food and took it to a picnic table with a beautiful view. We had to wait a bit when we went at noon. We should have grabbed lunch at 11:30 when we got there - no line. This food truck has the best lobster rolls! There are different options with different toppings. I enjoyed the Maine option! I heard the New Hampshire version was good too! This truck is located at Portland Head light. There are several picnic tables for you to use. After eating and enjoying the beautiful view, we walked around the lighthouse. If you're arriving on foot, prepare for a TREK! We didn't know that this was a food truck atop a hill within a park. We felt like we were on a pilgrimage to get to this place. However, the journey was well worth it. These lobster rolls were the only ones we had while in Maine. The were large and stuffed with the good stuff. I wish that they at least came with a drink too as they are not cheap! The staff was friendly and patient - the line was long! They were helping people all the way up to the last minute that they were open. The view cannot be beat. Take the walk down to the Portland Headlight. read more

A friend recommended we come here claiming it was the best lobster roll she had ever tried. I beg to differ as we did not have the same experience. However, my picnic style lobster roll was pretty good! I would say all in all I would give the Bite Into Maine lobster roll a solid 7/10. Here is why: 1.) If you love lobster meat then ordering the 6 ounce lobster roll is definitely the way to go because your roll will be loaded with delicious lobster meat. However, my roll was $37 so be ready to pay the price. 2.) When you upgrade on the bigger sized lobster roll, you might sacrifice on flavor. I couldn't really taste any flavors other than my lobster meat and the melted butter that was poured on top of my roll (yum!). The coleslaw at the bottom of the toasted bun felt unnecessary because I couldn't taste it at all! 3.) The toasted roll was delicious and a necessary addition to the lobster roll. Make note though, on a cold day, by the time you get the roll in your hands, it might not be warm anymore especially with the coleslaw on top of it! If I had to go back and do things over again, I would have stuck to ordering the 4.5 ounce lobster roll. I think the flavor would have come through better. Service was fast and friendly. Ambiance was gorgeous as the food truck is very close to a great view of the Cape Elizabeth lighthouse. There are plenty of benches to sit at even if you can't nab a seat right in front of the food truck. And, there's a parking lot right in front of the truck as well! read more

Absolutely loved our pit stop at Bite Into Maine at Cape Elizabeth! One of the freshest, most lobster-packed lobster rolls I've had -- and the bright, crunchy cole slaw was a sleeper hit as well! Bite into Maine by the Portland headlight was absolutely amazing! One of the best lobster rolls I had when visiting back in September. I had the lobster roll Connecticut style with hot butter over the top. I probably could've ate two or three more! It was so good! If I ever adventure back out towards Maine from Texas...I will definitely have to stop back by and get another lobster roll. The atmosphere was great as well because it was perfect sunshine day. Best lobster roll that we had on our entire trip to Maine! These lobster rolls are expensive, but huge and stuffed to the brim with generous chunks of fresh lobster! I also highly recommend ordering a few of their Lemon Lime Root Sodas. These were super refreshing and honestly the perfect compliment to the lobster rolls. This lobster truck is ideally located on the top of the hill near the Portland Headlight (which is a must see lighthouse near Portland, Maine). read more
