Lyon (rock hard bread and salami)

New to the area decided to drop in for lunch. Order the Lyon. The salami was ok it was sliced way too thick and very hard to chew along with the baguette being old.. The bread was as hard as a rock and the sandwich it self had a ton of Dijon way too much.. I guess this is as good as it would get down here... Was Ehh wouldn't return

A must do!!!! A gem in the Keys that offers French pastries, ginormous crepes (pick your ingredients), sandwiches, and a delicious coffee bar; complete with friendly service and a welcoming vibe. We stopped by for breakfast one morning. The pastries and gelato looked fantastic. I ordered a ham and Gruyère croissant. The hubby went with the continental, a croissant (for the road), and a mango coconut crepe, which came with a small cup of mango gelato. The Chef is great, super fast, and makes a mean cup of coffee! We will definitely add this to our list of favorites for breakfast or lunch here in the keys.

Born in South Africa I just love this place! The savory crepes(Pannekoek) is amazing! Service is super fast and polite, welcoming and makes you feel so excited. The smell of fresh crepes are so comforting and the ambiance is like you are in Europe!

Still incredible. I ordered a sandwich, cafe au lait and some croissants to go. Delicious. We stop here every time we visit the keys, and it's worth the trip. It's kind of an unassuming little place. Wonderful baked goods!! The owner is very nice and the service was prompt and professional. Can't wait to return!

Driving down to Key West, we wanted to stop by to get some breakfast. We stopped here and ordered Croque Matin, Katie, and Key Lime pie. The food was fantastic and fueled us for the 2+ hour drive we had to endure in order to reach Key West. The only reason I have to knock it down one star is because when I asked for water, he decided to give me a bottle of European mineral water instead. I thought this was normal, until other customers came in and he poured water into their cups. This was incredibly annoying as I didn't want the fancy water and he didn't even ask what kind of water I wanted. Another annoyance was the already included 20% tip - I get that it's a thing around here, but I would rather the restaurant increase the price of the food to pay for living wages instead of an automatic tip percent.

Excellent food. Cute place! Will definitely be returning. The owner is so attentive and nice, he does everything. The place is extremely clean. They have a great menu, the food is very fresh not to mention the portion size. WOW! You won't be disappointed.

On our way to keywest we decided get breakfast at this place. This is one man show and he is quick. They have patio furniture but they do not serve outside. You have take a to-go if you want to eat outside. We were in a group of six. We ordered i e tea, latte, mocha, veg sandwich, midi sandwich, katoe sandwich, pancake, croissant. Tuna sandwich was a bit dry but fresh. Everything was good in taste and the service was super quick. The man serving was super efficient and was serving and preparing for multiple people. Overall a great place to have a quick stop and get some juice bites. The restroom was super clean hence another reason to stop at this place if you plan to take a restroom break.

Cute little bistro on the way to key west. Quiche was great and their balsamic dressing was the bomb.

We stumbled across Pierre's Lounge & Restaurant at Morada Bay, and honestly, this place is a hidden gem. It doesn't seem to pop up in a lot of the Islamorada food videos, but it has killer reviews on OpenTable, and we experienced why. Pierre's is located inside a beautiful two-story colonial-style house overlooking Florida Bay. It has that vintage, old Florida feel, with beautiful views of the beach and water. We were seated inside at a table overlooking the bay, and between the view, the service, and the food, it ended up being one of the best meals of the trip. We did the Chef's 6-Course Tasting Menu, and every course was great. Everything was fresh and prepared perfectly. The tasting included butter lettuce with hearts of palm and green goddess dressing, scallop and Florida pink shrimp ceviche, Hudson Valley foie gras, pan roasted branzino, chargrilled lamb chops, and a key lime tart to finish. The branzino and lamb chops were both standouts, every bite was better than the last. I washed it down with a couple Smoked Sailor Old Fashioneds, made with Mount Gay Triple Cask XO, bourbon. My favorite rum and it made for a great cocktail. If you're in Islamorada and looking for a spot with beautiful views, a vintage vibe, great service, and great food, check out Pierre's.

Unfortunately, after returning I was shocked by how much the experience has declined. We started with the Yellowtail Tuna Tartare, which was mediocre at best and lacked the freshness and flavor. The biggest disappointment was the Truffle Gnocchi with Shrimp. The shrimp appeared to be simply fried separately and placed on top of the gnocchi as an afterthought. The presentation was poor, there was virtually no truffle flavor, and overall it was one of the worst gnocchi dishes I've ever had. As a restaurant that has always prided itself on French cuisine, I was especially surprised by the escargot. Instead of being served in a traditional, appealing presentation, the escargot were removed from their shells and scattered on a plate with lettuce and a pastry in the center. It looked messy and completely missed the mark. The staff did bring out a complimentary Key lime pie for the birthday celebration, which was thoughtful. Ironically, it ended up being the best thing we ate all evening. It's genuinely sad to see what was once a gem of a restaurant lose so much of what made it special. The quality, presentation, and attention to detail that kept us coming back year after year seem to be gone. I don't know if it's the result of the change in ownership, but the magic simply isn't there anymore. After many wonderful memories at Pierre's, this is not a review I ever expected to write. Sadly, I'll be lowering my rating and, for the first time in years, I'm not sure we'll be returning.

Nestled in Wynwood, the restaurant has a chic yet welcoming atmosphere with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It's the kind of place that feels lively without being overwhelming. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality stood out. Every staff member was warm and attentive, and our server, Radomere, truly elevated the experience. Managing a party of 12 is no easy task, yet everything flowed seamlessly. He was attentive, personable, and made sure our celebration felt special from start to finish. With a group our size, we took full advantage of the menu. We shared oysters, escargot, crispy artichokes, leeks, beet salad, French onion soup, tuna carpaccio, steak tartare, and a beautifully curated cheese platter. Every appetizer arrived impeccably presented and packed with flavor. It was one of those rare meals where every dish earned compliments around the table. The cocktails and wine were just as enjoyable especially the dirty martinis, which were a hit with our group. For the main course, we ordered everything from the cheeseburger and mussels to the lemon pasta, spaghetti, steak, and chicken. Once again, every plate was beautifully executed and, more importantly, absolutely delicious. There wasn't a weak link in the meal. Dessert was the perfect finale. The dark chocolate mousse was rich, silky, and easily my favorite, though the profiteroles and lemon tart were excellent as well. Great food is one thing, but when you pair it with exceptional service, it makes for a memorable dining experience. This was an easy five-star visit, and I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

The ambiance is vibrant and has a lovely, authentic French feel. The host was very welcoming and made a great first impression when we walked in. The Food: Given the reputation, we expected the kitchen to deliver, but most of the dishes fell flat: French Onion Soup: Just okay nothing special compared to other versions I've had. Artichoke with Aioli: Good! The aioli had great flavor and was easily the highlight of the savory dishes. New York Strip Steak: Very disappointing. It lacked flavor, felt dry, and was just "whatever." Pastis Burger: Like the steak, it was underwhelming and missed the mark on flavor. Crème Brûlée: Saved the ending it was executed well and tasted great. The Service: Our server was polite enough, but completely disengaged. He didn't offer any suggestions or attempt to sell any specials we had to ask all the questions ourselves. To top it off, after we ordered coffee alongside our dessert, he simply dropped the check on the table and vanished. We felt rushed, like he was just waiting to clock out and go home.

We typically don't eat French food, so we weren't sure what to expect, but this was phenomenal from start to finish. We started with the Assiette de Fromage. All three cheeses were really good, and the jam they served alongside them paired incredibly well with the cheese. It was a great way to start the meal. We also tried the Boudin Noir, which was probably one of the most unique dishes we had. I'd never had anything quite like it. The pear really brought out the flavor of the sausage and complemented it surprisingly well. The Chicken Vol-au-Vent was probably my favorite savory dish. I'm not even sure where to start. The sauce was excellent, the chicken was tender, and all the other toppings in the filling came together really well. I would definitely order this again. The Lapin à la Moutarde was also very good. I really enjoyed the rabbit, and the potatoes were a great accompaniment. For dessert, we had the French Salted Butter & Sugar Crêpe, and it was phenomenal. The simplicity of the dish really worked, and the butter in particular made the dish. The service was amazing. Milena was awesome, super attentive, knowledgeable, and really helpful when walking us through the menu. Everyone in the restaurant was incredibly nice and welcoming. The restaurant itself was also beautiful and really well decorated. It has a very unique atmosphere that adds to the experience. Overall, La Fresca Francesa was truly a one-of-a-kind restaurant. We went in not knowing much about French food and left absolutely blown away. Definitely one of those places I'd recommend trying even if French cuisine isn't normally your thing.
