Two things you need to know: 1. The food is DElicious. Delicious. 2. The proprietor is a little intense. 1. The crepes with Nutella were a favorite- the Papi had banana & strawberry... YUM. The Katie was awesome (salmon & locks on a croissant.) The crustless quiche... lovely. The croissants were light, buttery, flakey, and divine. Seriously divine. 2. Have you seen the soup natzi episode on Seinfeld? Very similar. The food is 5-stars for sure, but the service from the owner a little... curt. We were told our party of 8 could not put two tables together because he didn't have time to put them back together. He also told two people to come back because he was too busy. He told my friend he couldn't get him a chocolate croissant (added late) because he couldn't be "there and here to cook at the same time." Which made sense, but just saying "sure, just a minute" would have worked. We felt a little rushed and pressured for efficiency and decisiveness, but he was alone most of the time & may have just thought he was being direct and efficient. Loved this little cafe with outstanding coffee and espresso! Loved the ambience and the sweet French couple running the place. They were very friendly. I enjoyed coffee but did not eat. The pastries looked delectable! I do wish there was something healthier on the menu for those who have to avoid pastries. This is the only reason I'm giving four instead of 5. There just wasn't anything I could eat here. I will come back however when I do choose to eat pastries! And I will absolutely come for coffee or espresso! Got a crepe here. It was very very ok, basically burnt with some raw bits. It did have a lot of fruit in it which I do like. The crepe was $15. We gave a $2 tip but the business input a $5 tip. When I called to inquire. I was told he inputs a 20% tip on the total you put across the board. I asked for it to be refunded but was yelled at by the owner. I was told this was not worth his time and that I must have ordered something else and I just can't remember. For crepes that are subpar, would not recommend eating at a place with fraudulent practices. read more

Full crepes in a cozy and cute cafe. When we entered we were greeted, given menus and picked a table. The server was very pleasant and service was attentive. We ended up getting fresh squeezed orange juices and a savory and sweet crepe. Both crepes were very good and very filling! In addition to crepes they have gelatos, cakes, soup and sandwiches also. My boyfriend and I decided to try breakfast here while on vacation and couldn't have been more impressed. The owner was there alone, and did everything himself including taking our order, making our food, and cleaning up, all while keeping everything moving quickly and smoothly. The crepes were incredible, and the coffee was amazing. I ordered a bag of fresh ground coffee beans to go to bring home to my mom. We can't recommend this place enough. Despite numerous Keys trips, we stumbled upon Bitton just last year. Michel is a friendly and gracious host, as evidenced in part by the number of locals visiting the place. The Crema from the add-shot was delicious and thick. The Crepe was so enjoyable and tasty. Capers, cream cheese, another soft cheese, and the salmon was flaky and soft... the crepe so thin yet with great texture. So filling. An orange juice was added. It tasted fresh squeezed. Don't stop - drive on by! I'm handicapped with a certified service dog. Owner would not grant my wife and I and of course my dog access to eat there. He said, "No Dogs allowed..Period!". I explained it was illegal to refuse us access. He said, "I don't care". I even showed him the documentation for my dog to prove it's a "real" service animal. Again, he stated, "I don't care". Oh my god I am so glad we found this place. It's such a perfect, random find on our trip along the Florida Keys. It's a legit French bistro with two French-speaking guys running the show. We ordered a nutella/strawberry crepe, and a spinach, sundried tomato pesto, cheese crepe. They were HUGE and oh so tasty! Not to mention fresh-- they went straight from the skillet to our table, and the spinach used was not frozen. Perfectly crafted. Although we were completely stuffed afterwards, we still ended up ordering half a dozen extra pastries for the rest of our roadtrip. The food is good but the chef/owner's attitude is really bad. We are locals and been going there for years off and on. There are slim pickings for good bakeries and breakfast spots in Islamorada. he still treats me and my family like he's doing us a favor serving us. One time he turned us away because he said he was too busy even though there was no line and a few tables empty. We put up with it because we like his fresh baked goods. After our last visit, where he takes your order from the counter, when you're sitting at the table, and rushes you through a breakfast, he then charges a preset 20% charge for table service that included some croissants we bought at the counter. This was hands-down my personal favorite meal of a recent trip we took to Islamorada. Don't get me wrong, I love seafood and all of the other rich local fair in the area but this place is unique and in our eyes, exceptional in its authenticity. We all ordered crepes. I tried the "Ocean Side" which was just packed with fish and other tasty goodies. It was one of the best things I've personally ever tasted if lox are your thing. YUM! Everyone else had desert style crepes and plates were cleaned! We also had some very well made Cappuccinos and a couple of fresh croissants in all of their flakey, buttery glory. Nice!
