We ordered 1 cappuccino ($5) 1 americano coffee ($5) 2 blood orange juices($5ea/$10) 1 lemon crepe ($6) 1 apricot croissant ($8 - just giving the highest price on this one) Totaling $34 but yet I was charged $48 ( he said, "this includes service) No bill, no receipt - weird Good food though- just ask for a receipt or an itemized bill- I'm curious if he would supply it. read more

The owner is not just an amazing chef, but a kind and generous person also. I've been here several times but today was the first time I got to try the quiche and custard croissant. Quiche was just as delicious as I'd expected, knowing how amazing the savory spinach crepes I'd had before were. The croissant though....WOAH. Best I've ever had, hands down. Perfectly baked, light and airy inside with just the most delicious crust. With filled croissants, too often people rely on the inside filling to give it flavor and ignore the quality of the bread itself. Not here! The custard here complimented the bread instead of overpowering it. My husband was equally pleased with the apricot croissant and pineapple juice I brought home for him. Such a lovely local French bistro that serves breakfast and lunch. As we walked in the owner was very nice and welcoming. He serves a variety of fresh pastries, crepes, and quiches. Their cappuccino was one of the best I had, along with a very fresh and delicious Nutella croissant. We also tried the Papi crepe which was absolutely wonderful and the quiche was outstanding. They also serve gelato which I didn't get to try this time, but will definitely come back to have. This is great little local gem! Definitely worth a try! You won't be disappointed. read more

I was craving a coffee and crepes and stopped here on the way down to marathon. If that's what you're looking for deff stop here. The crepes are HUGE so you should probably share! Wow....rude doesn't even begin to explain the service. They automatically charge a 20% tip which is not deserved, not only because he's rude, but because you grab your own menu, he doesn't fill your water glasses, he took over 10 minutes to take our order and the restaurant wasn't even full. He never asked how our meal was or anything. The service is that he makes you a coffee and brings you your food. He doesn't bring you a check, you go up to the register and wait another 10 minutes. When one customer was paying the bill, he asked why it was so high and he said 20% gratuity is automatically added on. The customer responded, "No tip. The food was awful and the service was awful." The owner responded, "Then next time go to Burger King." To which the customer responded, "I will." Another customer walked in to a half full restaurant and he told them that they needed to go and come back in 30 minutes. They responded that they just wanted takeout and he said "it doesn't matter. Come back in 30 minutes." There was also a sign that he lives by. It said "your opinion is not included in the recipe." I've heard the stereotype that the French are rude, he is definitely living up to that stereotype. Now onto the food. It was OK, but not great. Once you hear customers getting yelled at, it's kind of hard to enjoy it. read more

His help delivers your meal to your table and they never return. You have to go up to the counter to pay your bill. The owner/operator rings up your bill and adds 20% charge for "the service". The service was also just OK and the owner Marcel who took care of us treated us as if we were a hassle when he wasn't even busy 3. Here is the best part! We got three pieces of quiche, two croissants, and two regular coffees. The bill was $90?!? Even if the three dishes each cost $20 it still doesn't add up. The service was alright, the restaurant was empty and upon paying what seems to be the owner prints out the receipt and by hand writes 18% tip, didn't explain himself yes I knew we were 6 people but the restaurant was empty and it's also is a cafe, not an extensive table to service. He didn't let us divide the bill, he said he'd say 2 cards walking away doing other things. The food was nothing to die for either, simple sandwiches and you are paying over $10 dollars for them. Ughhhhh.... I hate that I have to write this bad review. We visited here in 2013 and couldn't wait to visit again on this trip. I was so excited! Some of my family ordered gelato, paid, and went outside to eat it. I'm not sure what their experience was, as I was in the restroom and the last to order. I was going to order gelato, a crepe, and a sandwich. I asked for a taste of the creme brûlée gelato and was given a very rude "I don't have time to give you a taste!!" from the owner (in a tone equivalent to Seinfeld's "The Soup Nazi"). I stood there for a moment, considering if I wanted to order the other food, and then turned around and left. If you're don't have ten seconds to let me taste your gelato, then how long will it take you to prepare my food? As I was walking out, the owner was shouting to me that if I wait for a while, THEN he could give me a taste (there were only two tables seated in the restaurant the entire time we were there, see picture). Am I going to support someone that treats me like trash? Ummmm nope. My family said that their gelato was icy (as in most likely had melted and then refrozen) and the lemon tarte was overly eggy. Maybe the owner will eventually hire or get more help and return this place back to the wonderful place it was in 2013. read more

We got a salmon crepe and a ham/mushroom/guyere crepe - both were AMAZING. So filling, so flavorful. It was very difficult to pick the one I wanted. The coffee was also incredible. His dedication to welcoming all who enter and producing great food more than justifies the 20% gratuity automatically added to your check. Came here with my family of seven (including two preschoolers) and everything we ordered, from the French press coffee to the Nutella chocolate crepes to the Sicile to the Fruits Crepes with cream, were of the highest quality. Everyone was full and happy with their orders and beverages... not an easy feat with my crew! Liz was our server and she was absolutely wonderful. She anticipated our needs and was always nearby to help. Best of all, in the back there is a set up of toys and small tables and chairs for little ones. My kids didn't want to leave! After a week of chasing after my kids in restaurants, I could truly relax, watch my kids and have a perfect French brunch. Prices are slightly higher than other places we ate at for breakfast, but reflect the location and quality of the food. Only downside is we didn't find this earlier in our trip. Found this place on Yelp on our way home from key west. The 5 star reviews did not disappoint. The service was excellent from the second we stepped foot inside, the owner Is the chef, the waiter and the cook. Everything was delicious and the amount of time it took to get everything must've been a record. Not to mention how friendly he was. 10/10 would recommend again. Yes. If you want to get scammed this is the place. I walked in and everyone was nice. I ordered the crepes which came out very fast. My crepe was cold and the strawberries in it tasted old and acidic. Everything was okay until I went to go pay. It was $54 for 2 crepes, 1 OJ, and 2 croissants. How is that possible? I then noticed the tip was included yet there was no service. You grab and put away your own menu, and you go pay at the counter. I saw them charge me $16 and $14 for a crepe and when I looked at the menu after it says $12 and $14. Without tip the total they gave was 45, but when I calculated it later it should've been $38. The food was mediocre at best. I was excited to find a good breakfast place here in the keys but I was so disappointed. How is it that a glass of normal OJ is $5. Will not be returning. Save your money. read more
