Confusing billing and very rude phone calls…read more I had a very frustrating experience with this body shop. My car was repaired here after an accident that was 100% the other driver's fault, and the repair was supposed to be handled through insurance (Progressive). When I picked up my car last year, I already paid the amount they asked for. However, months later they started calling me repeatedly, claiming I still owed additional money. The calls were frequent and the staff was very rude on the phone. The most confusing part is that their own documents show that the remaining balance should actually be paid by the insurance company, not by me. I even sent them the insurance company's explanation, but they kept insisting I should pay. I am attaching the documents they provided. The numbers clearly show the inconsistency. If you plan to repair your car here, be very careful with their billing and communication. My experience with their customer service and billing process was extremely disappointing.

It did take 3 months to get our car back, but that was of no fault of their own; the car had to keep going back and forth between Ariana Auto Body and the Porsche dealership for calibrations but Ariana Auto Body's team was spectacular at communicating with us regularly with updates. We finally got our car back and it feels like new again! Hopefully my husband drives more carefully next time!

Bob gave me a realistic quote, but more importantly, he took the time to genuinely guide me instead of just trying to sell me on expensive work that didn't make financial sense for my situation. Even though I'm probably not going through the full body shop route, he still went out of his way to explain my options, educate me on the differences between body work vs PDR, referred me to someone he trusted, and even personally vouched for me and texted the guy on my behalf trying to help me out. That level of kindness and authenticity is rare these days. You can tell Bob genuinely cares about people and takes pride in doing things the right way. If I ever needed proper body shop work done in the future, he'd absolutely be one of the first people I'd call. Highly recommend.

If you want an experience where the body shop damages your vehicle and completely denies any…read moreresponsibility, a constant hassle of them saying your car is complete only for you to find that it's not, and for the timeline to be quadrupled then Bob's Bridge is the shop for you! The biggest problem is that they damaged my vehicle. No question about it. You can see the before and after pics with dates. My car had a small chip in the middle before the service but no chip on the left side. I know they damaged it because how I got the chip that in the first place because I slammed the trunk hard, thus chipping the glass. And this body work included fixing the trunk not able to close properly, so I'm positive they slammed the trunk thus chipping the glass in a different area. After telling Boris about the damage he completely denied responsibility and he has a way of not saying he won't pay for it, but rather pushing that issue to the side and saying we'll let's finish your body job and then maybe we can discuss the damage issue. But when the job was done I said he would need to compensate for the job and he said he's not paying anything. His defense was saying they don't work on glass so it's impossible for them to have caused the issue. But as I mentioned above, the chip likely came from somebody slamming the trunk. Additionally, Boris told me my car was done 6 times (yes, six!!!) when every time it was not. I don't live in Fremont so each time I had to drive to 45+ minutes, or waste money on Uber/Bart just to find out that the car needs to remain in the shop for further work. This is due to their poor craftmanship. You can see in the pics that they wanted me to pick my car up when there was damage on the bumper, poor paint job on the rear tailgate that made it red (they were so cheap on the job that they got aftermarket parts, so I didn't realize that they got a tailgate from a red tesla and painted it grey , which I never agreed to at the beginning of the job), sensors not being reinstalled, and the brake light was not installed correctly. Still, after taking it back 6 times, although most of the redness is gone there are still minor scratches that were never there before the accident. Boris has hung up on my phone calls so despite their "warranty" I'm not even able to go back there again so I'm just going to have to deal with it. The weirdest part about this whole experience was that one of the 6 times they said my car was complete they put on bumpers that had no holes for the sensors. So basically the tesla drove like a normal car without being able to detect what's in front or behind it. I still have no clue why they would do this?!?! Why would you put on the wrong car parts?? I told them to keep it in the shop but they insisted that I take my car because it would take a week for them to get the parts, paint them, put the sensors in, etc etc. Of course this took 2.5 weeks instead of 1 and then he didn't fix the sensor problem so I had to drive out again and wait another week. Ugh. It was such a hassle. And of course Boris was claiming that he had nothing to do with the sensors being a problem that they caused . Really Boris? The sensors were fine before I took it into your shop so please explain that one to me . Lastly, they said this job would take 1.5-2.5 weeks. It took 2 MONTHS. Yes, 2 months. And still my car has scratches and the windshield chip I mentioned. Not to mention I had to pay 100% of the cost up front which is extremely sketchy. Body shops only require 50% up front at most to buy parts. They claim that I had to do that because they gave me a good deal. I don't buy that one bit. Be weary they will also want you to Zelle so you can't dispute the charge!! I disputed the charge but unfortunately lost. I will be taking Bob's Bridge Collision Center to small claims court to recover the cost of them damaging my rear windshield. Avoid this shop at all costs and don't make the mistake that I did. They are liars.

Don't do that. After I wisely had my car towed home instead, I took a deep breath, talked to my regular mechanic, and he recommend I send it to George at California Collisions. This was a very good choice. George and his staff did the grueling work of haggling with the insurance company, multiple times, over weeks. He also did an excellent job reconstructing my vehicle within the constraints of the insurance coverage. I got my adventure wagon back in good-as-new condition. Customer service and communication were excellent. About 15,000 miles later the rebuild has been tested and proven. Happy to support and rep this business.

Practically unheard of for an autobody shop! California Collision is one of those unicorns. My only regret is not hearing of them sooner. Reflecting back on my involuntary experience of being the receiving end of a rear-end collision on the freeway, California Collision was the clear stand out. Not only did they get my BMW back on the road like it never happened, they handled it like a concierge would. Take that from a regular business traveler that works in the private equity world. George and Team handled everything in my best interests. They are an honest to goodness family business; the real deal- they all share the same last name. The first thing George did during the drop-off process was insist on giving me a walk-thru tour of the *entire* shop and work area. Other shops hesitate and deflect with these requests but George volunteers it first thing without even being asked. After using the restroom on the way out, there was not a corner I didn't see. Communication and customer service is first class- my calls, messages, and emails were always returned in a timely manner. They dealt with insurance and the car rental. I didn't have to do anything besides provide approvals. The job was done exactly how I wanted and even exceeded expectations. My BMW is older now and I expected aftermarket parts but I ended up coming out with all OEM parts at 0 expense to me. Even my optional factory/ OEM+ M-division performance parts were handled. Color match and fit were factory perfect. George is a perfectionist and personally inspects your vehicle after work is done and only releases back to you after it passes his high expectations. However, the best part I liked him was his honesty. He would provide all possible hidden issues so that I could prepare myself on the cost side. He was OK to lose business by being honest and I appreciated deeply on this. When the body work was done, everything was perfect but I did notice an issue on the position of driver-side seat and reported back to him. He kindly helped to find the issue that it was manually pushed down (likely when accident happened and I was too nervous and pushed it down without knowing it. He kindly showed me how to correct it. I was 100% happy with his kind and professional services! Not only did he handle all the negotiation with insurance company, he also kindly suggested me to check a chiropractor for potential body injury from accident which helped greatly on my recovery. I originally took my vehicle to their old Fremont location and waited a few months before writing…read morethis review. I had cosmetic and mechanical work done on my vehicle; and overall, the value of the service provided was excellent. While the panel placement was not perfect, the paint blending to the old panels was flawless: the shop perfectly matched the colors, and I was surprised the shop somewhat replicated the orange peel effect characteristic of an OEM BMW paint job (see PPG Enviracryl clear coat) instead of a boring mirror finish! As for mechanical issues that arose after the initial work, there was a minor oversight after the initial work but the shop was willing to make it right and provided a loaner vehicle in the meantime. Communication between Josiah and I throughout the process was great: he not only was patient to provide repair updates but also was proactive in providing updates when there were supply chain issues. Overall, I am very glad a family friend recommended me to take my vehicle to this shop.
