We've been vacationing in this area for over 20 years and always make at least one stop at BJ's during our stay. The food is always good but the service was always kind of...indifferent. When I say indifferent, I mean that you didn't get good hometown service. My thought was that we are tourists and therefore don't warrant that level of service and the staff was always fairly young. (Funny to think of ourselves as tourists since we only live 90 min inland) We once again visited BJ's during our 2020 vacation this May and the service level has gone WAY UP! The staff was super-friendly and helpful and the food quality was very good, as always. I can't give it 5 stars since, well, it's not my favored traditional Italian (or Greek) Mom & Pop pizza joint. We were looking for a place to get takeout on St George Island. We drove through town looking at all the places to eat when we found BJ's. We really hadn't considered pizza but the place was pretty busy so we felt like that might be an indicator that it was good. We ordered the 6 item build your own pizza and a garden salad to go. In less than 20 minutes we were headed back to our lodging to enjoy our purchase. It was delicious, hot, fresh, and cheesy!! The salad was cool and crisp, loaded with peppers, cucumbers, onions and tomatoes. The house made ranch was excellent too. I can't remember a time we have talked about how delicious our meal was all the way through dinner!! We highly recommend eating at BJ's when on St George Island!!! read more

Small building off the beach and main rd . My little one wanted pizza and we stopped in . Decorated very cute with decor and a kind of sports bar feel . We ordered a medium cheese pizza and drinks and it was around 21$ . Pizza came out in less than 10 min and was amazing . My little girl ate 3 slices alone and said this way sooo cheesy and good and she's a picky eater . Pizza reminded me of ny style pizza and was great ! We paid extra for some blue cheese and ranch but that's typical of a lot of places . Got my little a scoop of ice cream here as well when she was finished . The bathrooms are very clean which is a plus and the young girls up front were friendly and kept the place clean . Definitely recommend this little place . Oh also if your traveling with pets , they accept them here and also have a patio ! That's a definite plus in my book read more

9/1/2019 date of visit: I have ordered carry-out pizzas in the past from BJ's but never actually stayed and sat down for a meal. The menu has a decent selection of food and beverages. Prices are very reasonable. There is seating both inside and outside. The inside dining area is large with plenty of tables. It is walk-up counter service and they bring your food to the table once it is prepared. There is a soda fountain and drink area for self serve drinks. I ordered a custom calzone with the sauce on the side. It was large, delicious and came out piping hot. The staff was pleasant and helpful. When on St George Island and you need an Italian food fix, check out BJ's! read more

Really good pizza, totally worth the 1 hour wait. They get busy and stay busy because their pizza is that good. If you carry out, you can order a beer and hang inside or outside, (we chose outside) which is great either way you choose. The staff is awesome and friendly, which made us repeat customers for sure. read more

We ate here twice on our stay. I'm not sure why this place doesn't have more stars. Bc they are great! We got a pizza of course, but we also had chicken, a cheeseburger, and a corn dog. Really appreciate having these guys on St. George Island. There is no good food around. The seafood places are cut rate... often not fresh. BJ's pizza is really good, mozzarella tastes fresh- pretty good crust... but I found their sandwiches and such to save the day when there is literally no where else to go for lunch. Unless you want to go to one of the tourist, faux beach shacks. Grilled chicken sandwich was great. Tomatoes and lettuce that didn't look 10 days old like everywhere else I went. Although I would suggest to them to not put the lettuce and tomato under hot chicken on a to go order... and perhaps even have the bread separated with some wax paper to keep from getting soggy. Really some of the best pizza in the south. In Atlanta everything is "Napoli" style which just means a gigantic wad of dough with a few tomatoes and punch of cheese. BJ's does pizza right. Ordered carry out on our first night on the island and it did not disappoint. Pizza was delicious (meat lovers and chicken garlic) and the Buffalo chips were awesome - the perfect amount of spice and garlic! Service was great too! My husband forgot his wallet and had to run back to the house to get it and the girl at the counter held onto the last beer for him. If I could give zero stars I would. We called in an order for 2 chicken salads and a large pepperoni pizza. We were told 20 to 25 minutes, no problem since it takes us over 20 minutes to get there. Wait in line to pick up our order, get to the register only to be informed they are out of salad. No salad, and the pizza was cold, greasy and all of the pepperoni was thrown in the middle of the pizza. 40 minutes of our time wasted on a nasty cold pizza and half our order unavailable. Before I found out I was allergic to wheat, I loved their pizza. And up until this year, they had a gluten free available. This year, they didn't-which is totally fine (I'm sure not many people eat gluten free on the island). My parents and fiancé ordered a 1/2 sausage 1/2 pepperoni and said it was fantastic. If you are not into seafood while in SGI, this is a solid choice. To me it tastes similar to a Papa John's pizza, which I like, so it's kind of a compliment. For $24.99 you can get a large supreme that will feed 2 peeps for 2 meals, with decent amount of toppings and satisfying pizza crust. We also got a garden salad for 5.99, but that was not as good of a value. Just a bunch of what looked like romaine lettuce with some other veggies. But when you are stuck in an island and craving some veggies, it'll do. Maybe the only pizza game in town, but an acceptable one. read more

BJ's is the best spot quality of food wise on the whole island. Most of the restaurants on the island make up for where they lack in the actual food department with what they do in the atmosphere environment. BJ's has nothing to make up for. There may not be beach views but the restaurant is fun and chill. The best part is the food is actually good. Pizza, and especially the sandwiches! I have been coming to St. George my entire life and it is a family tradition to order two large Bj's pizzas our first night on the island. I am not kidding, this is my absolute favorite pizza that I have ever had. I do not believe my liking for this food has too much to do with the location of the restaurant because I do love SGI, but man their pizza is knockout. They load the toppings on and it is delicious! Yes, Bj's can be on the pricey side, but it is so worth it. I have only had their pizza, but their wings and sandwiches look good, too. I recommend the Bj's special / supreme with extra cheese. Needed a quick lunch one day toward the end of our stay and decided to give BJ's a try. I ordered a large everything pizza, fried pickles, and buffalo bites. I was told it would be ready in 20 minutes and right when I walked in it was packaged and ready to go! The pizza was loaded with toppings and had a nice thick crust. The fried pickles had an unusual batter, but they were crunchy and yummy. The buffalo bites were not what I expected, but they were extremely addictive.
