We enjoyed the calamari appetizer, which my friend had never had. It was good. For lunch....my friend had the sampler appetizer, which was a lot of food for her. I e joked the jambalaya. Food was good...but not exceptional. It is a chain restaurant so not expecting more than what we got. Only down side was after we ordered the appetizer, the waitress came and informed us that there were 2 fryers down and our food was going to be delayed. We had not visited in about 4 years. Our memories were mixed, so we thought we'd give it a go again. Good: service, atmosphere (it's pubby), the wedge salad at a steal price. Beer selection excellent. Bad: soup, chicken tortilla. First it came out lukewarm, when it was returned, they rewarmed it with the original tortilla chips in it (so soggy) and wow is the soup salty. We come here every once in a while and its usually towards the end of the week. The daily specials are pretty good deal. I've had the prime rib which wasn't bad, but I will say the double pork chop was surprisingly good. It was seasoning well and really tender, would definitely order it again. But don't order the asparagus as a side because they were pretty sad. Pizookies are all the same to me. Food here has always been good and we haven't had anything that we wouldn't order again. Every time we come here service has been great. The atmosphere is pretty chill, even when its busy. I would prefer it over Bubbas or Texas Road House, which is all close by. This was our first--and likely only--visit to BJ's Cottonwood Mall location, as we were just passing through from 22 hours away. The atmosphere was just what you'd expect from a brewhouse: clean, family-friendly, and lively with a medium noise level from the crowd. Restrooms were also clean, which was a plus. We originally came in for the sirloin and shrimp scampi combo ($24.99), but unfortunately, they were out of sirloin altogether. My husband and I both had to change our orders. We ended up ordering the Shrimp Scampi ($23.99) and Atlantic Salmon ($24.99) instead--both of which tasted good, though not what we came for. I have been many times to the uptown location so this was a first for the coors location . we both got an alcoholic drink as well . the drink was on their new drink menu and i can't tell you the name of it off the top of my head ‍ but it was absolutely amazing ! i usually get a pizzookie but was stuff from the mean and beverage. overall food was a 3/5 and service and ambiance 5/5. overall the price ran about 35/40$ before tip . Here visiting Albuquerque. I always try to visit one of my favorite restaurants in different states. The ambience is what you expect from this franchise. Dimly lit. Friendly staff. Quick service. Blackened for me and oven grilled for the wife. Everything seemed in order till.... We started eating and how salty not only my order but my wife's order was. Like I get everything needs to be seasoned. I like salt. But not mouth puckering salt that makes you constantly drink to flush it down. Out of all the BJ restaurants I have been across many states. This is the first time this has happened. Then let's get to the bathroom situation. I took and posted pics. But I omitted from showing the toilets as that will make someone lose their appetite. Mind you. It was 7pm. Lots of staff standing around. And as of this writing. Only 9 tables had people sitting down at them and eating. I went in to wash my hands before eating and found it like this. Your telling me nobody could check up the bathroom every hour? Empty the trash? Flush the toilets or wipe the sink down. The Steakhouse Salad Wedge was the only choice that could fit a 30 net-carb day if you plan to eat 2-3 meals. Every entrée exceeded the 1,500 mg daily sodium limit often recommended for people with high blood pressure (2,300 mg is the general guideline for most people). Ok.. let me start by saying I never complain, much less feel the need to get online and leave a review, but I am just blown away by, not only the ridiculous amount of money I spent for one person - which was $40 and thats without a drink, but The portion sizes are insulting at best and actual theft at worst. I made this order today, Monday Nov 10.. I placed a Togo order online and went to pick it up. It was ready when I got there, which was nice, the server working the to go station handed me my bags and it immediately felt off. I gave him a $5 tip anyway and left. When I got back in the far I started opening everything and I realized what was wrong - it looked like i got the kid version of everything! So I brought it back in, talked to the same young man and asked him "Is this the normal portion size?" Holding up a salad bowl that was obviously less than halfway full. I got a smile and a "Yupp". Then I called the attention to the tiny little pizza next to it and asked "and this the $15 personal pizza?" Another smile and a "Yupp". At this point, I should have just asked for a refund and left, however the absurdity of it coupled with the fact I hadn't eaten anything since 6am, I decided to take it and go. Well hindsight's 20/20.. Here's the breakdown of what I got for my $40 I thought a personal pizza would be at least 8", ya know, a traditional small pizza.. NOPE! What I got was this bite size 4" pie.. the same exact size that I got as a kid at Pizza Hut. It was also soaked in an inexplicable amount of grease, as you can see from the stain on the bottom of the box. That's also the size of the whole pizza since I had already taken 2 bites out of it before I took the picture. I also ordered a Cesar salad, ($6.99) thinking I shouldn't fill up on just pizza and I could save the rest for lunch tomorrow - FOOLED AGAIN! not only did the contain nothing but croutons and lettuce, it didn't even fill up half of the container!! The only redeeming quality of the entire meal was the sea salt and caramel pazooki. It was absolutely delicious, and a good sized portion. It is the absolute only reason for the 2nd star. At $8.99 I should have just ordered 4 of them and maybe I wouldn't still be hungry. Now I have to call Dominos so I can get a real pizza for $8 read more

We asked for a table and we were placed in the room off to the left and sat there for over 10 minutes before the manager came over and took our order. He said the waiter was delayed. We were the only group seated table in that room. Finally Max the waiter came over and we told him we had already placed our order like 10 minutes before. Well, we had to wait another 15 minutes after finishing up for this to go to be delivered to our table. I had gotten the mozzarella and tomato salad with balsamic dressing. It was good. I also got the broccoli cheese soup, but it had a burned taste, so I did not finish it. The melted cheese on top was good, but the soup itself had a burned taste. I did not complain as I did not want to wait longer than necessary to wrap our somewhat disappointing meal. My grandchild liked the macaroni and cheese and fresh fruit. Usually the kids get a garlic knot roll, but it did not come with this children's meal! The spaghetti and meatballs to go had 4 meatballs on top with a garlic bread stick. We had a wonderful experience tonight. Our server was Alexis. She was training a young man tonight so she had a shadow over here the whole time. She had excellent customer service so I'm glad she's training their new employees. Alexis was very sweet to my two kids and I'm sure they'll ask to come back just to have her as our server again. We ordered the Mandarin orange pork chop and cherry chipotle salmon. $49. We have eaten at this BJs a number of times. Normally, it's a great experience. However this time the salmon was extremely dry and lacking in flavor. This is different from the normal juicy and flavorful salmon. The pork chop was not as good as it normally is either. However, the pork chop is so good that when it's not up to the normal standard it is still highly above average. I'd recommend not going to this BJs right after 4 O'Clock when the smoked items become available. It's better to wait until 5:30pm or so when they are in their groove. I'm actually giving them an extra star because we have had good experiences in the past. This last visit was one for the books! Our food took an hour to come out because our server forgot to put half of it in, or they really could not figure out how to cook chicken in the back like she suggested. Meanwhile, as we waited an hour for them to learn to cook chicken, they let our salmon bake under the hot lamps for the rest of the time. We asked if she could bring the salmon out because we thought it was going to be overcooked from the lights, and her response was that "Don't worry it'll be fine." As we waited there with my parents and young children, they decided to sit a belligerent drunk woman next to us. This woman was yelling and talking with highly offensive language. Her friends and family all walked out on her, unfortunately, we did not have that luxury. We were sat on the far left side where all of the family sit and they put this drunk woman amongst all of the families with children, poor Management move. A Manager should have asked her to leave or they should've sat her by the bar, or even the bathroom where she really belonged. We were forced to sit there and listen to this woman while we sat dry mouth and parched because we were never offered a refill. I had to take my children to the restroom, it was so dirty. I would've rather had them go outside. I took them both to the ladies restroom and they asked if it was the boys, I just told them that hygiene was not a priority of this restaurant. To top off this fantastic dining experience, they brought the wrong check out twice and even forgot to take off the Pazooki. I understand that we are all out here trying, and it might have been our waitresses first day, to give her the benefit of the doubt. However, Management should have trained her, but also should have stepped in to keep the atmosphere family friendly. Originally we had planned on Red Robbins but sadly they were at their capacity and looking at about an hour to hour and a half wait. So we ended up coming here! I wasn't sure what to get seeing as my last experience at BJ's was less than stellar. I ended choosing the broccoli cheddar soup paired with a Cesar salad! I love broccoli cheddar soup and it's such a rare dish for me I love to get it when I can! Our server was on top of everything, kept checking in on us every so often. But I have to say that, even though we were eating there at about 2 PM, it was cold. They have only one heater, which is on the south side of their canopy. We were sitting on the northside. We were fairly close, but not close enough. BJ.s I love your food, but please, put in more heaters. Came late on a Saturday night for their cookie dessert things - "pazookie" that a friend suggested. Which actually were pretty good. Aside from that, their food is not good. Nachos were one of the worst nachos I've had at a restaurant. Little fake cheese sauce, thin cheap chips, 2 tomatoes, and a tiny thing of salsa. It did have guac and sour cream. Paloma was not bad. The service is really the only reason they are getting 3 stars, out waiter was great, friendly, quick. It was my wife's bday so we got a "blowjob shot" haha. The mozzarella sticks were horrible - not sure if they undercooked it or mixed the mozzarella with something else? It was like not melty at all, it was gross. BJ's appears to have declined in both quality, cleanliness and service since my last visit. We ordered a multi meat layered pizza, a salad and wings. The pizza was dry and nothing special. Every plate had debris or dry food on it. We needed to ask for replacement plates as well as replacement drinkwear. Our waiter didn't appear too interested in serving us this day. Once we placed our drink order for water with lemon, he didn't appeared too interested in providing good service. I'm wondering if maybe he felt his tip amount was not going to be worth his effort percentage wise without expensive drinks on our tab. It might be that the newly built Bubba's at Cottonwood has picked off employees from BJ's and therefore the quality staff members are now working at the other end of the parking lot. If you are looking for a good experience, maybe Bubba's is your better option at Cottonwood. read more
