Tried this place again 2x now- and it's still hit or miss. And yes, we always speak with management if there is an issue. Dined in and noticed many items that use to be on the menu were discontinued. The tri-tip is gone which was disappointing. Now replaced with a small sirloin which was okay but not as good as the tri-tip they used to have. They also advertised on the website their brownie piezookie but this location no longer has it. They no longer have any piezookies with fudge and were not willing to add fudge to the ones we wanted. So we turned down ordering 2 piezookies. The chicken pitas Mediterranean dish was okay but very messy with the pitas quickly getting so soggy you couldn't pick them up and the cucumbers did not taste good and had a dark bitter taste. We wanted something for a nice casual dinner. We decided on BJ's because of its LARGE menu selection. Allowing you to choose from super healthy to good ol' calorie ridden, saucey, and greasy! I needed a jacket! At any rate, they seated you based on your preference and provided you a drink menu. For the food menu, you needed to scan the QR code on the table. The serves was good. She was attentive and very friendly. We ordered: Coffee Soda (one soda's about $4?!? - talking about price gouging!) Mozzarella Sticks House Ceasar Salad Deep Dish Ziti Total with tax: $41 The waitress brought everything out at a good speed. We didn't feel overwhelmed or rushed. The coffee was very bold, had a nutty - chocolate undertone. Very good! The mozzarella sticks were fresh and hot. Crispy and not oily at all. The marinara complimented very nicely. The salad was pathetic. You got the ends of the lettuce thats bitter, only two croutons, hardly any cheese, and the dressing - it wasn't something to desire. We agreed, it wasn't worth it and we wouldn't be ordering it again. The baked ziti was the star of the show for us! Met my wife for lunch and she met me at BJR&B; a favorite of hers. We were seated promptly, but drinks took a bit. They had just opened so maybe things took a minute to get up and running. I ordered an unsweetened tea, which had just been brewed so it tasted very refreshing! For our meals, she got the avocado egg rolls, which looked delicious (see pictures). I got the Brewhouse Philly, which was nice and hit with big juicy pieces of sliced steak, with lots of peppers, onions, and cheese. I paired that with sweet potato fries and the slaw that came with it. The fries were very good, but the slaw had no twang to it like the recipe didn't call for any dill or vinegar. I was in town visiting with my son who is a student at NCSU. Our hotel room was not ready so we decided to grab a bite. We wanted something we had not had and landed here. We were seated rather quickly and the restaurant was empty. I was a little frustrated that the hostess tried to seat someone after us a bit too close to us for my comfort; COVID is still a thing. It took a little while for our waitress to greet us which was surprising given how few people were in the spot. But, she was friendly and attentive once she arrived. I had a Tito's mule which was rather tasty. There's a strawberry version, too, that I imagine is a little sweeter for those who enjoy tickling their sweet taste buds. My son had the BBQ sliders and fries. He said they were good. I landed on a shrimp power bowl that was actually very good! My only complaint is that I asked for my shrimp blackened and was a tad disappointed that there was little to no "heat" on them as anticipated. If you're into beers, they have a WALL full of options. The staff made my visit here really stand out. The waitress was very patient and went out of her way to make sure I knew there was going to be a staff change and to introduce me to the new waiter. BJ's used to be my favorite late night joint, however, it has gone downhill exponentially. It was off to a good start with my delicious Caesar salad but afterward, it was pretty sad. We waited almost 2 hours in total for our pizookie meal deals. Our chicken bacon ranch piadinas were lacking any source of ranch aka moistener. They were just butt dry and it was painful trying to swallow them. In order to accommodate the dry bolus going down, we drank lots of water. Unfortunately, our water eventually ran out, and we had to go out of our way to ask for more. Our waitress was very inattentive, as she was busy telling other patrons about her tattoos, tattoo and piercing parlor, her multiple partners, and the bowl of soup that spilled on her. The only time she was attentive was when we were not even halfway through our main entree, and she asked us what pizookies we wanted. Well, I guess that was a mistake not ordering then, as we had to wait very long after finishing our meal to get to order them. We got our pizookies, they were good, but then time for another grueling wait for our check. Tried to pay on the table, but we were unable to split it. Overall, the wait staff is still kinda sketchy and somewhat grungy, the service is very slow, and the menus and salt and pepper shakers were extremely greasy. We were greeted with a smile and friendly welcome from the Host as soon as we walked in. We sat at the bar cause it's usually quick and we're social folks. The bartender Dayna was a flurry of activity, cute, engaging and friendly to us and her coworkers. I asked what they "hit out of the park" without hesitation she recommended the Hickory Bacon Brisket Burger, so ordered one with a side salad (no fries) and my wife ordered an Ahi Tuna salad. While wandering around on my way to the restroom I noticed a poster talking about CysticFibrosis and BJs support for folks with the disease... and something called a PIZOOKIE. A collision of a pizza and a cookie; actually it's just a big assed cookie with all kinds of decadent sweet stuff on it with a big scoop of ice cream. We aren't big sweets eaters and were already full, but ordered two Pizookies to go to share at our next stop. I can't guarantee you'll get Dayna H (#233) at the bar but the service at BJs is excellent, the restaurant is bright, busy (in a very pleasant way) and clean... the food was AMAZING and how can you not cheer for a place helping fight CysticFibrosis!!! read more

Eight months later and it's still the same story. Super slow service, incorrect orders, mediocre flavors, dirty tables after parties leave in every direction. This place needs more staff on the floor, STAT. Adding to the list this time: Pepper/Salt shakers were so full they wouldn't shake so we had to unscrew the tops and got pepper everywhere (this was a funny at the time), Oreo Pazookie was underbaked (but does it really matter?), and our server was brand new to waiting tables as well as all alone in their duties. Being patient was a struggle, like watching a fawn stuck in traffic. Back and forth, forgetting a lot, always apologizing. They took our dirty plates off of our table... and put them on a clean table right in front of us. Over two hours for a table of four, Oy Vey! I think BJ's Restaurant is a hidden gem in this area. I've been several times but none of my friends know about it and are always surprised. Nice decor. Hubby and I wanted something different so we stopped in on Monday. Immediately seated and it was around noon. The menu is pretty large. Our waitress took our drink order and told us about the special for the day which was 50% off large deep dish pizza that the regular price was $30.95. What a deal! Hubby doesn't like deep dish so he ordered thin crust 6" that was actually about the same price. Ugh. Okay...I said hardly no one was in there...but the wait to get our meal was long. I got the large deep dish half vegetarian and half pepperoni. The vegetarian was delicious! Probably the best flavored veggies on a pizza. I ate two slices! It arrived at our table hot and fresh. We enjoyed our meal here a lot! The salmon was delicious and my partner enjoyed his sandwich. They let me modify my salmon meal too because I didn't like the sides that originally came with it. I will say that I wasn't too full after my plate though, so wish it was a little more or maybe it was just that delicious I wanted another plate of it! They also make homemade sodas which is cool. We usually love it here, but today, it was absolutely horrible. The floors were so slippery like they were waxed. The manager said they got like this because of some intake thing, but they weren't working. There were NO wet floor or slippery signs. Thankfully, I was holding onto the bar of the ramp when I fell and hurt my elbow and tailbone! The employees that I told seemed to not care. I saw one go down, no problem, but they have to wear no slip shoes. Well, 95 percent of your customers don't wear non-slip shoes. The lack of care and the acting like it was just me that had the problem walking when I saw multiple others slipping still with no sign out is a problem! The mocking of me that I heard and saw was completely inappropriate. This was my first time at a BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse although I had been a member of their rewards club for awhile. I made a reservation for our party online and when our server came to our table, she had informed me of my free Pazooki. She took our drink order and promptly returned with them. She told us about the wing special for the night and informed us of the different flavors. We ended up ordering three different types. We thought it was kind of weird, but she finally took the rest of our order after she had brought us our appetizer of the wings. Our wings were barbecue, Carolina, and regular buffalo sauce. I think my favorite was the Carolina sauce. For our entrées, I ordered the nachos with chili, my family ordered shrimp, scampi, a bowl of clam chowder, chicken, Parmesan, jambalaya, and a rack of ribs. Asked for butter and sour cream for her baked potato with her spareribs, which our server said she would be glad to get for her. I had noticed that my nachos did not have the guacamole or sour cream that was supposed to be on them, so we hailed her down as she was taking an order at the table next to us. She proceeded to go to the table behind them and fill their waters and then went to the table next to us again. One would think that you would like to try and fulfill the needs of the table that already has their food with issues then to accommodate everyone else. My sister was sitting there thinking that her baked potato was going to get cold before she got her sour cream and butter. Our server finally came with our items and apologized for the wait. I like to order nachos out at different restaurants to compare them and I have to say that these nachos were subpar. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal, except for my one nephew who had the jambalaya. He had complained to me that there was barely any rice, and I have to admit he was really right on that one. We finished the meal sharing a salted caramel Pazooki, which was pretty good. I will definitely be back to this restaurant, but I don't think that I will order the nachos again. read more
