Parking is easy as it's in a mall area. This was a very busy place for a Tuesday night but we were able to get a table at the bar for happy hour. It was a bit hard to get someone to come but afterwards, they did check on us frequently. The hibiscus rita was my favorite. Seems like its made with mezcal which is what I love. I had the pizooki meal deal which is a great deal. I had the personal pizza with a cesar salad and ended with a mini pizooki. The BJ favorite was amazing and just the right crisp and softness. Not stingy on toppings. We had the salted caramel and the oreo and cream one. They were both delicious though I liked the salted caramel more if you like sweetness. Overall. This one really hurts to write because BJ's has normally been one of our go-to spots in our rotation of restaurants for a Friday night dinner after a long week of work. I even discovered their hard root beer a couple of years ago, and their berry ciders always hit the spot. We've always enjoyed coming here, which made this experience that much more disappointing. Last night, our dinner turned into a THREE HOUR affair. And it wasn't because there weren't enough servers. There seemed to be something seriously going on in the kitchen, and unfortunately, we were the ones who paid the price with an endless wait for our food. We waited... and waited... and waited for our appetizers. When the wings finally came out, they were COLD. Have you ever had cold wings? Yeah, neither had we... until last night. Then our entrees finally arrived. Our son's chicken parmesan was fine, but my prime rib was lukewarm, and my husband's BBQ chicken pizza was COLD. To make matters worse, the pizza wasn't even cut! We sent the wings and pizza back and waited another 30 minutes. At that point, we were simply exhausted and frustrated. We finally decided to cancel the wings and pizza altogether. After waiting that long, we just wanted to leave. What should have been a relaxing Friday night dinner after a long work week turned into three hours of waiting, cold food, and disappointment. I really hope this was just an isolated bad night because we've had good experiences here in the past. But unfortunately, this experience was bad enough that we don't plan on coming back anytime soon. My husband and I took our family here to celebrate my dad and father in law for Father's Day and had a great experience! We ordered a large pizza to share among the table alongside ordering individual entrees for everyone. I ordered the crispy jalapeño burger as my entree and while it was good, I wouldn't say that it wow'd me. With that being said, the fries that it came with were exceptional--they were thick and super crispy. The pizza was also super satisfying. If you haven't had a pizza from BJ's before, it is a deep dish so heavier than your standard pizza, but I really enjoyed the breading for it. Service here was great. Our server was super friendly and checked up on us often. The ambiance is sit down casual. There's lots of TV's everywhere which makes it a great place to check out sports games. Went here on a Thursday a couple months ago for late night happy hour and it was pretty busy; they seemed a little understaffed in the beginning, but things eventually died down. Our server Austin noticed my bf's birthday when checking our ids and really took care of us, so we had a great first experience here. Shoutout to him! Ultimately, I'd come back and would recommend others to try, but it wouldn't be my first choice. Maybe if I'm really feeling a pizookie. I got to this establishment at 412pm. There are available tables but they are not bussed. I stood in front of the table and waited. A server came and said someone will buss the table. It is now 434pm. The bar section has plenty tables that needed bussing. I spoke with another gentleman and he said he has been waiting for over 10mins. Go figure.... Finally at 427PM, a female came and bussed the table. We courtesily waited. The table was not disinfected and junk was still clinging to the table top. I went up to the server area and took it upon myself and got a rag to do it myself. The person that bussed the table ended up being my server. She advised that she was coming back to disinfect the table. I was graciously thankful. It appears the issue is with the management. Why is management allowing this to happen? I saw plenty of non servers hanging around talking to other staff. Basically not doing anything. They could have easily bussed the tables. But my server after 15min bussed my table and took my order. MANAGEMENT you fail in this industry. Our order consisted of a large pizza among other items. The pizza came out drenched in tomato sauce on top. I took a photo to show. I asked why is there tomato sauce on top. The server advised this is the new way along with new dough. She stated it's been like this for 7monrhs. Visited this locations for Mother's Day. Originally it was an 1.5 hour wait, but we found a spot for our 4 person family in the bar area. The table and seating area was clean and comfortable. Our server, Manny, was very kind and attentive. He even went out of his way to ask his boss to comp the pizookie trio for my birthday. In addition, I received a Mother's Day 2026 wine glass from the restaurant. As an OG BJ's goer (yes, I'm claiming that title ), this review hurts to write because I've genuinely loved this place for years. I've probably come here more times than I can count, almost exclusively for the unlimited Soup & Salad lunch special. Back in the day, it was one of the best lunch deals around. Now it's an all-day Monday through Friday special from the lunch menu, which sounds great in theory... except they've slowly taken away almost everything that made it worth coming for. If you've been going here as long as I have, you'll remember the tomato bisque and the lentil soup. Gone. The Monkey Bread Pizookie? Gone. Most recently, they got rid of the chili, which you could order as your soup, AND they removed the tomato mozzarella salad. That one genuinely hurt. So what's left? Broccoli cheddar, which has never really impressed me. Clam chowder... which I'm always a little skeptical about because I'm not exactly going to BJ's for seafood. And chicken tortilla, which is decent, except it's basically a game of "Will there be chicken today?" Sometimes you get a few chunks. Sometimes it's just broth with hopes and dreams. I honestly don't understand why they'd get rid of tomato bisque. It's one of the most popular soups anywhere. It really feels like BJ's has been cutting corners over the years, and while I could be wrong, that's definitely how it comes across as a longtime customer. Little by little, they keep removing the things that made me keep coming back. At some point, the "deal" stops feeling like a deal. The food quality has also been inconsistent. One visit I ordered a burger medium, and it came out so rare I genuinely had to double-check if we were on the same page. (See the picture.) I've also had multiple visits where the silverware still had dried food stuck to it. That grosses me out every single time. I know restaurant silverware gets reused, obviously, but I'd really prefer not to see evidence of the last person's meal still hanging around. Service has honestly been hit or miss over the years too. I've had multiple disappointing experiences, but I used to overlook them because the lunch special made it worthwhile. The exception? Chris. If you've ever had Chris as your server, you already know. He is hands down one of the best servers I've ever had anywhere. My best friend and I both work weekdays, so lunch trips aren't as easy anymore, but whenever we could sit in his section, we knew we were going to have a great experience. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about his tables. He made people want to come back. BJ's isn't a bad restaurant. That's actually what makes this disappointing. We were seated and waited 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged our table. I finally had to walk to the front and ask where our server was. I was told they were really busy, and someone eventually came over to take our order. When our food arrived, we weren't given any plates. Once again, I had to get up and ask for them. I was told they were looking for our server. Five more minutes went by, and the same employee came back empty-handed, still saying she couldn't find our server. I finally asked, "Why can't you just bring us the plates yourself?" By the time we finally got plates, my food had been sitting on the table for about 12 minutes getting cold. I came with my husband and my one year-old son to watch a World Cup match and also eat dinner. It was a fun time watching the match and hearing the whole restaurant react. My husband and I decided to try out the steak, the sampler platter, their Fourth of July drink, as well as their Fourth of July cookie thing. As well as a hamburger. I will say my steak was absolutely delicious. I really loved how the chef cooked it. It was so good. Therefore the July drink was also so good and I would definitely wish that would be a regular occurrence. My husband also got there black cherry soda, and it was so good too. It is a really good black cherry soda. The service was really nice. The people working there were really nice and everything. There was a family next to us who wanted to have their family moved to the special area for the restaurant. I guess it was closer to like the bar or something. I honestly have no clue. The server was so nice and was saying they are more than welcome to move over there if they can get a seat because it's first come first serve sadly. The family decided against trying to see if they could snag a seat and instead state where they were, but I found that was really nice that they were able to move if I could find a seat as it was getting cleared out. Like I said this was during a FIFA match. Like I said, the ambulance was really nice just because again I was watching the FIFA game with the rest of the restaurant otherwise it's a nice restaurant. The restaurant itself was very clean, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It was pretty busy for a Friday afternoon, likely because of March Madness--and the bar area was definitely the most crowded, especially with happy hour starting at 3 PM. Even with the crowd, the staff handled everything smoothly and worked together as a team. For the kids, my daughter had corn dogs with fries and my son had a Pepperoni Extreme pizza (made "kids-style" thanks to Alex), and they both loved their meals. My son especially enjoyed that pizza! Our initial bartender was a guy and he was good overall--friendly and attentive. He refilled my water without me asking (after I had asked a few times earlier), but then he went on break without letting us know, and there was no handoff or transition communicated. A new female bartender took over, and unfortunately, we were completely ignored. She never once checked on us. We were ready to go, ready to pay, and still had to flag her down. Meanwhile, other staff were hanging around the bar area, filling the water jug and chatting--loudly--about customers at other tables. That kind of conversation should be kept in the back. At the bar, we were essentially invisible. No "How are you doing?" No "Do you need anything?" To make matters worse, the bartender was chewing gum and clearly disengaged. When we asked for our check, she said, "It's there," pointing to the cup. We put our card in, she took it, then came back and said it was actually the wrong check. At that point, the frustration level was high, and frankly, the service did not warrant a tip. And it didn't stop there. We ordered a salad, pizza, and half-and-half bone-in wings (lemon pepper dry rub and dill pickle dry rub, with Nashville hot sauce on the side). What came out were sweet, wet-sauce wings. We didn't fully realize the mistake until we were almost done eating. When we first checked in, we were quoted a 45-50 minute wait. No one mentioned that there was open seating available at the bar--which we only found out later. That would've been helpful information from the start. Overall, the food is usually dependable, but the service issues on this Thursday night really stacked up and took away from the experience. Came here for a holiday work lunch because it has a huge menu, everyone would be happy. We ordered a couple of the appetizer sampler plates and they were fantastic. Includes wings, sliders, mozzarella sticks, artichoke dip. Then I got a really good house salad with blue cheese dressing. Also got a warm giant pretzel with beer cheese. That was the absolute highlight of the meal and the server brought an extra beer cheese. My entree was disappointing though- it was an individual chicken bacon ranch pizza but it must have been ready earlier than the other meals. They stuck it in the salamander and it was a melted mess. The server was fantastic throughout and kept our large group happy. I like how they have their Five customer service principles and their Gold standard for excellence as screensavers on their computers. I visited BJ's Brewery in Cerritos for lunch on 05/08/26 and was not disappointed. The waiter was extremely attentive and the overall customer service was great. I love the ambiance in this restaurant as it has a cozy feel. They have great budget friendly specials that include a small size dessert. We love their famous Pizookie so we upsized our dessert. There is plenty parking spaces available and nice stores and other restaurants to choose. The Cerritos Mall is right across the street and a Super Target is right down the street across from the mall. If you are looking for a good meal and especially specials that won't empty your pockets, try BJ's. I really enjoyed my individual BJ's Favorite Pizza & Side Caesar Salad. My family enjoyed the Wings & Sweet Potato Fries. It is a brewery so if you like beer & ciders there are plenty to try. I recommend BJ's for a nice experience. read more

How/when did BJ's Pizza get so pricey? We got 2 Pizzas with some drinks and the bill came out to $80+. Not sure the food was worth it. Maybe they baked in the price of a birthday Pizookie into the price of everything else. Our server was lost the whole night. He got our order wrong, he didn't give us any utensils, and he did not have any answers to our questions. The only positive side here was the hostess estimated an hour wait and we were able to sit within 15 minutes. As the young kids would say, BJs BE SO FR RN We ordered takeout last night and ya'll...I could not believe what we received. We haven't had BJs in quite some time so it's hard to say how far off it's fallen but for $70 I'm actually quite astonished. I'm definitely one to prefer writing in about something amazing but I just couldn't let this go. My husband ordered the chicken Alfredo and the first thing he asked was how to make it not taste like cardboard. The noodles were dry, the sauce and chicken flavorless and ended up being tossed out after his failed attempt to doctor it up. My burger...I cannot believe they served this to us. After having to wipe off what looked like mayo (on a brisket burger?!) I took a bite of the brisket burger and felt it was extra "bbq'y". I took another bite and it tasted almost chemically in nature. I decided to investigate and open the burger up. The patty was CHARRED to put it nicely. It was extremely dry and burnt on both sides. As thin and dry as it was I feel like it may have been a reheated patty from a previous order. Outside the fact it was inedible the carcinogen exposure was off the scales. I ordered mashed potatoes as my side and I kid you not..they had to have been powdered/boxed mashed potatoes. There is no way these were made from real potatoes. The ice cream also tasted like it had frostbite. All in all, 0/10 and $70 down the drain after a takeout tip. Unfortunately the "contact us" form will not submit so we had to post on yelp. Never in my life have I been told by a manager that they flat out just won't put a requested program on one of their TVs. Michelle, the manager, refused to put the Kentucky derby on one of the auxiliary TVs ( I didn't even want the main TV) because in her words, "the race isn't until 3." I'll never come back here just for the terrible culture alone. The bartender was awesome and the beer hit the spot, but damn the manager missed the mark. My first time at this location. Was in the area on a whim. It's packed as a Friday during playoffs should be. Hosts says 20 minutes however I find a table on my on in 2. My server was Evan, cool attentive and friendly despite the crowd. Got the chips,salsa/guac -mini pizza and mozzarella sticks. Hot tea was good. Chips salsa and guacamole were good. The mozzarella sticks and pizza came out cold. No worries the Evan and one of the Managers Tristan had it refired for me. Food comes back again, I guess whoever was cooking just wasn't in the mood today. It's all good though. Our relief server by the name of Noah took care of it. We ate the this restaurant today to celebrate our daughter's 18th birthday and everything went very well. The service was "best in class." Our server was always on top of everything. We never had to ask for drink refills, they came automatically. The food was delicious we all really appreciated the excellent service. Our server was Jeanette, she is the absolute best! Another point for this place, no service fees or mandatory tips added to the bill. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

I saw an ad for their lunch menus that are $13 for a few items, including a Pazooki deal. I thought that's an excellent price considering the offerings on the menu so everything I bought here except the mini sliders for $13 and it included a Pazooki. Service was excellent. I haven't been back to BJ's in about 7 years so it's refreshing to go back to their food. They even have a happy hour meal that is only seven dollars for the mini sliders. All perfect pricing. The only reason why I gave four out of five stars here is I paid at my table by the scanner, and the tip offered at 20% which I usually pay is after taxes. I'm happy to pay the 20% for R&B but not to include the taxes on top of the tip I think that's a little unfair and shady practices. I don't like restaurants that do this so please management, if you're reading this please adjust the tip to reflect just your food and beverages not after taxes! read more

I came in for a quick lunch and my friend and I joined the wait list. We were quoted 25 minutes and before we even got called up tables opened in the cocktail/bar area. It's self seating in the bar area just ask the hosts so you sit in the right area. Me and my friend got the 13 dollar pazookie meal deal and we split the food. We got the southern fried chicken and smash burger... both were cooked perfectly!!! My server was ON IT! (I forget the gentleman's name because my emailed receipt didn't have it on there). He has amazing personality and very quick service as well. We were at table 712 on 7/3/26 during the end of a lunch menu time. (This is so that manager can track his performance) just when I thought the meal couldn't get any better and just before we took our last bites our server came over and said "you ready for those pazookies" and that was the final straw that made this experience epic! Never ate a pizookie before so I was looking forward to trying. Got the salted caramel pizookie. It wasn't even filled in the cookie tin, there was a huge chunk of cookie missing, so that was disappointing. The portion was maybe 3/4 on the inside. I dont feel we got the full normal portion compared to seeing other people's pics, they didn't put enough dough? Then on top of it our caramel sauce portion was a joke, it was like a teaspoons worth. Cookie came room temp even though we arrived 15 minutes before our pickup time, so they clearly made it early and it was sitting there. Ice cream portion in their promo photo and also photos in store have two nice sized scoops but we just had one. Taste was salty! I was surprised. Like salty salty to the point I couldn't fully enjoy. It was cooked nice and raw which honestly didn't mind but overall I dont feel like I had what a pizookie experience should have been. read more

I don't ever write reviews, but I feel like I have to with this restaurant. I come in around 9ish with my friend, it's packed (understandable I don't mind) I go up to the hostess and I put down my name and number of course. She said it's going to be around 45 minutes to an hour I said "yes of course no problem!" So my friend and I leave and start walking around the area. Around 5 minutes after we join the waitlist on my friends phone also and put her phone number and name also just to see who would get called first. Around an hour and half goes by, no call or text. So we go back to bj's and I talk to the hostess. She says, "we called you at 9:40" mind you it's 10:30. She says, "we try to text you and left a time gap for you." I'm confused because I check my main messages and my spam box, mind you I know how to use my phone LOL. And she says, "it probably went to your spam" I say, "that's odd because I checked my spam" and she's like oh well I don't know. Anyways, she says "give us a couple of minutes to get you a table." So I go sit with my friend at the area you wait, and I tell my friend what happened and I'm like, "why was the hostess lying straight to my face?" I say this because they DIDNT EVEN CALL OR TEXT MY FRIEND EITHER!!! Mind you my friend also joined the waitlist FIVE MINUTES AFTER ME, and she DIDNT GET A CALL! I honestly wasn't mad about the time we had to wait, I was mad the literal hostess lied to me... like maam. I understand you guys are slammed and always busy, I do understand, but as someone that was a hostess before, that's unacceptable and blatantly rude. I feel like just because I looked "younger" she thought I was uneducated and didn't know how to use my phone but yeah. And to add one a party of 3 and 4 got seated before us... people that JUST got there mind you! The ONLY REASON I give them 2 stars is the waitress I've had twice there, her name is Stephanie I think or starts with a s. But she is running around that restaurant and I feel like she is doing everything there! She was cleaning majority of the tables, helping almost all the tables out while other workers were just standing around so, shout out to her she's amazing! Today we were served by Amanda. She is so nice and gave us excellent service. On the $13 menu, I had a bowl with quinoa and chicken. It was served hot and it was delicious. It came with a small pizzooki. Freshly baked Chocolate cookie with vanilla ice cream. Soooo good!! read more

Told us a wait time for a party of six was 15 minutes and took an hour and said they were cleaning tables when there was a bunch of more tables open that can fit us in, waiter was rude and looked mad, food took forever to come never coming back here again. read more

Service was top tier this time around, I wish I got our servers name (Black/Gold Dodger Jersey, Mustache, Male, Handled Bar/Self seating area 530ish PM before going to break around 6ish Jesse?? Probably not, but he knows who he is. He took care of us well in such a busy area. Took note on getting our table cleaned from the previous party and even apologized when the busser didn't come on time. Food was good, the Mac & Cheese Balls were actually scrumptious and a good App for $9.99. I will say for the All American Smash Burger, the patties were half the size of the bun regardless if it was a double patty they weren't even smashed either. So I was a bit confused on that because I always grab it for the $13 meal deal and it's never turned out to be smaller and what happened to the lettuce...? Little to none. read more
