The service at BJ's seems to have gone downhill. I ordered a bowl of soup and salad. The soup was a thin layer of soup in a platter (at most a cup of soup), and the salad was forgotten and had to be requested twice. The bar was backed up, and my beer came late in the meal. read more

Was in town on business on 5/16 and took a customer to lunch because BJs has always had consistent food with good service. I was not disappointed. Our server was a young man named Nicholas who appeared to be fairly new. However his politeness, candor and attention to detail over came any of the "newness". As always the food was top notch! The food sucks! Ordered a cheese burger and fries, what I got was a very overcooked, dry burger - no cheddar cheese, no mayo or mustard, a tiny bit of lettuce, pickle, tomato AND a nasty crust of burnt Parmesan cheese on the bun that left a bad taste in my mouth for hours. Fries were dry and cold, very small amount with a few so burnt they were completely black. Also tasted my friends salad, (barbeque chicken) which was messy pile of bland ice burg lettuce shredded so thin it was hard to even eat. Barbeque chicken was also dry and sauce was very plain. Prices for food was way over what you get and quantities are small. Service was pleasent but slow, granted they were busy, which I can deal with if the food is okay, but it is wasn't. Also found the building to be ridiculously huge and ostentatious with no ambiance, unless you want a TV at every angle. And by god, they need to do something about the finish of the their flooring, walking across it with only 2" heeled boots was freaky slippery - going to the bathroom felt like I was doing the mamba with death I have no interest in going back there, ever. read more

The food is good, but here is the main problem: as soon as you walk in the door the hostess asks you if you are a club member. If you say no you are pushed to try and select the bar area, which they will sell by telling you it is open seating. However, if you take that choice you will notice the one server trying to take care of all of the non-members. Drinks will stay empty and food takes longer to get there. Looking across the fence to the regular seating you see each waitress has about 3-4 tables and the service is next member. The next time I showed up and refused the open seating the service was ten times as good. What a shameless way to make people sign up for your little club. read more

I went to the Eugene location last night with my friends. The host was a complete BITCH!!! My friends, and I wanted to make reservations for a table since the wait was 45 minutes, we proceeded to make the reservations then wanted to go wait at the mall in the mean time, as we walked away she said "bye" in the most snarky voice ever. Might I add we were being very nice. I got a weird vibe and asked my friend "did she even put in our reservation" we went back, and checked and she was like "no do you want one" and we were like "yes" so it was a big deal because then she had to ask her manager about it, and they made it so complicated. Anyways we come back and as soon as we walk in we hear the host say "oh there they are" whispering to the other host, also we were back in 25 minutes when they said it was gonna be about 45 minutes, so it wasn't like they were waiting on us!!! As the waitress was walking us to our table both my friends, and I heard them whispering about us. As we were leaving they said "have a goodnight" to both the families who walked out in front of us, but as we were walking out they both just glared at us. My friends and I are 16...these girls were probably in their early 20's they're very immature, and need to grow up. I'm appalled by my experience, and I will not be back. read more

Celebrated a birthday dinner last night, had reservations made for 10 people, we were sat at a table for 6 people, adults, and some of us had to sit in the corners of the table so we could eat without touching! I ordered spaghetti, horrible horrible!! The sauce tasted like it was out of a can. I actually think Hunts makes a better sauce. My son had the brew burger, tasted so bad he couldn't eat it all. My family and I came into the restaurant around 6 o'clock yesterday and were greeted super nicely by a Burnette and her male coworker. I had a large party of 12 so I expected a wait. The male worker told my family and me that we would be seated soon but he had to push tables together which was completely fine because we were getting seated quicker than I thought. My children got confused and rushed over to the tables that were not ready for us which caused even more confusion for our seater. The food was amazing and our seaters were delightful, however, our server Lauren was completely unprofessional. Throughout our stay, she continued to bash 2 of her coworkers, and it was just very redundant and unnecessary because they were really accommodating and helpful. Next time, my family and I attend BJ's hopefully Lauren is not our server due to her turning my family dinner into the BJ's gossip hour. read more

I called in today at 5:40 for a delivery. I was told 20 minutes. After and hour and 20 minutes I called back asking where my food was. The person who took my order over the phone put it in as pick up instead of delivery. So after calling in they delivered my food that had been sitting in the window for the last hour and charged me full price. Thank you bj for the cold ass food. Never again. We have been to the new location 8 times since their opening, and every time we've left disappointed. We go back out of convenience, but even that appeal has worn off. The service is extremely slow and inattentive. The food is inconsistent, and the staff is uneducated on what the "normal" protocol should be about taking orders, refilling drinks, seating, logging in rewards customers, etc. We got one of their deep-dish buffalo chicken pizzas to go one time, and it was more like a thin crust. Seriously. We tried it at their soft-opening event and loved it, but it was completely different when we ordered it for carry out. Their small appetizers are great, and most of the food tastes good when it is made correctly, but the service is what really drops the ball. read more

Stopped in here for lunch on a Sunday. It was 20 percent full so we thought that was a little strange. We placed our food and drink order and started visiting. The 4 tables surrounding us in the bar area filled right around the time our drinks arrived. We were enjoying our visit and needed refills and noticed the surrounding tables had all received their food. The waitress was not taking care of our table so and I had to flag her down and ask were our food was. She said she would check on it. Three minutes later she returned with food...not the correct food. It also looked liked it spent too much time in the microwave. There was no sign of a manager and the waitress threw an apology on the table but sure didn't offer to make things right. I typically avoid chains but there are times when they offer a consistent meal and you know what you are going to get. The only good thing I can say is I got the cold beer I ordered; my wife got the one the glass of ice tea and we had a great visit because we weren't interrupted with offers to provide more drinks or bring the food we ordered. The transpired over a 40 minute period. To the management: do your job. You should be watching the flow of the kitchen and observing tables with empty drinks and no food. I would recommend eating at one of the numerous nearby brew restaurants rather than here; that's my plan for the future. read more

The food is pretty decent, all around. I quite enjoy the soup & salad and there is a yummy chicken bowl w mashed potatoes on the lunch menu that is reasonably priced. I am really picky about fish & chips and theirs were some of the worst I've ever had-- greasy w thick batter I had to scrape off. The bar is really nice, but the drinks are average (read: corporate--don't expect a stiffie here) and the wine list is completely disappointing. No wines to savor and none on tap. In this day and age having a "nice" red and a white on tap is such a bonus for the customer. You should be able to order a nice (fresh) glass for $5/6/7 IMHO. Ahhhhh, but I digress. I didn't take away a star because of it, as this is a chain restaurant. Play it safe and get a Jerry Burst; blend of Jeremiah Red (30%) and Berry Burst Cider (70%). This place is a goddamn joke. Saddest corporate restaurant i've ever seen. We went there with an hour and a half!! before we were going to a movie. Sat at the bar. Not very busy, but the one bartender was making drinks for the floor and his bar so he wasn't dead, i will give him that. We ordered drinks and than asked if there was a happy hour for food. There was, looked at a menu and ordered 2 apps, we decided to just get that and go to dinner after the movie. Twenty minutes go by. I had seen a server bring another bar patron their food, and we knew he rang it in because he printed a new tab every time we added to it and put it in a cup right in front of us. We ordered another drink and just waited. At forty five minutes, we are trying to get the attention of the bartender but it seems like he's avoiding us at all cost. Finally he makes eye contact and immediatly says "I'm gonna go check on that food". Gone for 5 minutes, servers EVERYWHERE standing around... comes back with food for someone at the other end of the bar. Goes back in the kitchen for 5 more minutes. Finally after an hour he comes out with our food. The "boneless wings"... two of the 5 were literally as big as a quarter, and everything was completely cold. It had obviously been sitting on the line waiting to bed ran for AT LEAST 30 minutes if not more. There were so many servers on shift I don't know how anyone let food sit there for that long. cooks, managers, all totally oblivious. It was an outrage. The bartender and manager tried to say that it was because there was a shift change happening and people were getting off and coming on and thats why there were so many people just standing around, we didn't want our food nor had time to wait another long ass time to get it remade. They took the food off our bill and gave us a 15$ gift card. We couldn't use the gift card to buy our drinks, cant use it on the same visit. Not looking forward to going back. prolly gonna just have drinks again and no food. read more

I can't say enough about the service that I had at BJ's. First, I can't believe how many beers they have on tap and the bartender was happy to let us try any of them. The meal was great and it was my birthday. The problem was that I left my purse on the chair in the bar. Next morning three hours down the road headed south toward San Francisco I realized the problem. I called and they very graciously volunteered to FedEx it to me in San Francisco! That is service! Long story short both of the seating hostesses were very rude when my friends and I went in last night. All my friend asked was if we could sit in the bar area and after my friend started walking towards there, one of the girls made a nasty face and her and the other seating hostess starting giggling. I don't see what's so funny about someone asking if they can sit somewhere because clearly those two ladies weren't the least bit interested in doing their job. It was extremely unprofessional and it pissed me off. And when we sat down, the lady that made the disgusting face sat down at a table near us and when more guests entered the restaurant, she said very loudly "oh great more people" in the most sarcastic way possible. My husband, daughter and I had our first experience with Bj's August 4th 2017. Our waiter was Rueben, what an experience with him. He was attentive, fast and helped us with our selection for dinner. I ordered the Jambalaya my husband got the 16oz steak and my daughter got chicken strips, the food was amazing, however the Jambalaya as delicious as the first 2 bites were I could not eat it, I turned bright red and had the worst pain ever in my stomach. Rueben came and asked if everything was ok, took my food back , credited my bill and offered something else with a soda to help my pain. we finished our dinner with a pazookie . I spoke with Van the night manager for that day and she was just very pleasant. because our experience was so good we went back a week later with our son and unfortunately I can not say the same for our follow up visit. we got our pazookie to go and when we got home there was less than a scoop of ice cream. the food was not as great as the previous weekend. I called and spoke with some one and they sent me a coupon for the pazookie, to my surprise it was a 20$ gift card. I will give Bj's 1 more try for sure. read more

The pazookie was delicious. I always have pretty good service and food here! Typical chain restaurant but the building is beautiful! Self seating in the lounge area is cool! But with most self seating areas it may take an extra minute to get service! I want to leave a 5 star rating cause their food is so great and their service for dining in is great, but they have absolutely the worst takeout service in town. Even if you have an easy order, there's at least a 90% chance they will screw something up even if it's basic. Today I ordered a split flavored pizookie with one half cookies and cream and one half chocolate chip. After sitting in the car 15 minutes after calling for curb side service and not being helped, I went in to pick up the food. I got home and one half is peanut butter and the other half is triple chocolate. Not is only one side wrong, but both! The receipt even says the flavor we ordered yet they still screwed it up, it's honestly mind blowing how they screw basic things up every time. It's clear management doesn't care about take out service which is too bad cause today I needed to take out cause my wife was in a bad car accident and was in too much pain to dine in, and I wanted to treat her to the dinner of her choice. They're also lucky neither one of us had a peanut allergy, cause screwing up that order and giving us peanut butter could've turn out way worse. We won't be returning. Pro - call ahead seating, outdoor patio with windows that close for winter. Cons - Pricey menu, small portions, insanely LOUD atmosphere, poor lighting, uneducated waitstaff. We decided to try out BJ's after they moved, first visit had a line out the door with a 45+ minute wait. We found they had call ahead seating, and took the number for a future visit. When we decided to try again, I utilized the call ahead seating before we left for our 15 minute commute. When we arrived, we still waited another 15 minutes to get a seat. We were seated in a booth adjacent to the bar area. This would not have been my choice seat - being a family with children. The entire restaurant was insanely noisy - couldn't hear my husband from across the table. The restaurant is dark, and with it being a sunny day, and brightness coming through the main entrance, I was blinded the entire vist, and couldn't even see my husband across the table from me. We had a coupon for a free "bite" and ordered the won tons. Server promptly returned saying they were temporarily out of won tons, and convinced me to select a different item. Then returned a few minutes later only to say that they really did have won tons, so he did order me that. I wish he would have returned to give me the option - because I would have stayed with our second choice. Kids meals were very small. One of my kiddos asked for veggies/ranch as the side. And he received 3 small baby carrots, and 2 sticks of celery - all of which were dried looking. Other kiddo asked for a salad, and received a very small pile of lettuce - no veggies. The kids entree was also small - and both my kiddos (6 and 9) begged for a snack within an hour of eating dinner here. I ordered a calzone, which was only meh. All of my toppings were on one end of the calzone - and it was mostly air. It was very small for the $10, and came with nothing else. Husband ordred a pasta dish, and was happy with it. Overall - dark, noisy, expensive, small portions - we won't return. read more

The calamari is super delicious, foods good and the waiters are always friendly. I like this atmosphere and set up a lot better than the coburg location. This is not the place to go if your looking for a quiet relaxing night out. I give it 4 stars because the hostesses at the front desk act robotic. First time I came in it wasn't busy at the entrance, nobody waiting. I asked for a table for two, towards the side of her was someone ready to seat us. We walked up to the lady ready to seat us and the hostess requests that we take a seat and they'll seat us when they're ready. We sit down and two seconds later she nods at the lady and the girl standing there goes alright let's get you seated! Called weeks ahead to inquire if a "party room" was available. I was told yes, so after confirming it was adequate in size for 20 and assured it was, I booked it for a group of 20 for an event. When I arrived 15 min early, to set up flowers, was told to take a seat by a rude young receptionist "until it is closer to booked time". I inquired if room was in use currently, and told No. I asked "may I just take a look to get my bearings?" and was shocked when she pointed to a long table set up in the middle of the busy noisy restaurant and said "that is your spot" I said "I was told there was a party room, which I booked, and was told " this is it....no explanation. Even when I inquired and asked if there was a more quiet spot...both myself & the friend helping me and I were shocked by her "no", Period. I suggested that when I asked about a "party room" I would have assumed there was an actual room or partioned space...not just pushing tables together. Food was "so so" (we did like the large group pazookis for desert) but expensive, and noise and atmosphere terrible for a group - we were unable to speak with other attendees of the celebration. Overall an expensive, disappointing evening. My worst restaurant review ever. read more

Surprisingly, we had a booth in a quieter section of the restaurant during the lunch hour. Three of us ordered the Quinoa with salmon, one ordered the Rootbeer-glazed ribs, another had a burger. All meals were delicious and the wait wasn't too long. We enjoyed visiting with our family, and did not feel rushed to leave. Would've been 5 stars, but our wait was a bit long, considering the number of customers was not high by any standards. It was spendy, but I'd pay the price again for the quality of food and service, post waiting for a table of course. We ordered the crispy calamari to start our meal. It was cooked/fried up right! Fully flavored as well, and the sauces were very good compliments to the dish. My main course was a pulled pork sandwich and fries. The pork was tender and well cooked with plenty of its own flavor. Although the sauce made a mess, it was a scrumptious addition to the meat. The wedge cut fries were a good choice, flavorful and not overly seasoned. To drink, I wanted to try their Tatonka Stout ale. I'm not usually a drinker of dark ale, but it's balance and flavor was very nice. Perfect for a hot/humid day! My wife ordered a salad that had chicken and lots of other goodies. I can't speak much on it, but she said it was very good. I tried a bite of the chicken, it had good flavor and texture. I have been here 11 times and had fish, pizza, burgers and pasta. Food is mediocre at best. The biggest issue I have is the maître d who ALWAYS seats my family with children outside in the patio without even asking. It is 95 degrees today! Requesting a high chair is apparently also an inconvenience because they insist on using a booster persistently to the point my wife feels so uncomfortable. We are never going back here again. Also, if that Pizookie plate is really THAT hot you have to tell us 3x then don't put it right in front of my kiddos. Terrible service and business etiquette. read more
