We were seated outside, and there was only one other party on their large patio. The patio is spacious and covered, but it is next to Route 9, so there is an abundance of traffic noise. * HONEY-CRISP CHICKEN SALAD: $17.25 1,360 calories * ENLIGHTENED SEARED AHI SALAD: $19.45 570 calories My Ahi Tuna salad was very good, not too much dressing and the tuna tasted fresh. Went there for a late lunch with my wife, after shopping for furniture. Wife ordered the smokehouse burger, which was hot and tasty. I ordered a personal pizza, had some cold spots and warm. I mentioned it to the server and she got them to make me a new one, which I appreciated. However, when it arrived it had a large hair on the plate, which I pointed out to the server immediately after she dropped it off. She was surprised and disappointed to see it as well and I simply just asked for the check. Her face said it all, she had no words. The pizza was taken off the bill, but after all that, the manager should have taken care of the whole bill. Just saying... Unfortunately, I have had issues here in the past. On two other occasions I had ordered burgers and they were cold. Coming here again was another opportunity to see if service had improved. Went for lunch on a Sunday. It was not my first time at a BJs but was my first time at this location and in at least several years. The restaurant is large inside with plenty of seating. It was pretty quiet when we arrived but started filling up towards the end. We had a variety of meals between us all - salad, tacos, burger, sandwhich, tenders. And we had a coupon for their pizookie. Our server was attentive and friendly. The food came out pretty quick, was a good temperature, and it tasted great. The pizookie was really good. Definitely recommend leaving some room for dessert. Bjs is a good place for American cuisine, slightly upscale bar or sports spot, and brewery. read more

I've read the other reviews and feel compelled to leave my own, since my experience seems at odds with so many negative reviewers'. I come here often, with groups and alone, & have had mostly positive experiences. The times that I've had the worst visits are when the servers and bartenders are stretched thin. The bar staff are overall stellar people and hard workers. I've seen them nearly bend over backwards to make sure guests are taken care of. And they are not afraid to cut patrons off to make sure they're not overserved. The food is decent, and I'd encourage anyone who's put off by their prices to take advantage of their daily specials and in-house beers. read more

First time in Boston from Philly. Place was recommended. Great atmosphere. Clean. Started off with drinks and wings. The wings were good. I should have asked to have them cooked harder. But good. I personally got this peanut chicken pasta they. It was delicious! (If you not big on peanut butter or allergic I suggest you stay away.) Family got the other food I have pictured. This place doesn't deserve a grade. Went in on Sunday, right at 11a. We'd been looking forward to trying this place for months. But this experience will not have us coming back. First strike: we asked to sit out on the patio. Sorry, they said, the server assigned to that area won't be in for another half an hour. Ok, fine, we'll have a seat at a booth around the bar. Second strike: the booth we sat at didn't have a server. if we wanted service, we'd have to sit at a high top. Wait .. so, we can't sit on the patio. we can't sit around the bar. When the bartenders did engage with us they were pleasant but I emphasize "when" because getting them to do so was a challenge. Twice we asked for more water and beer and that took 10 minutes and the waters were never delivered. The wings were good, nice flavor and delivered hot so certainly a thumbs up there. Had my pizza been brought out hot it too would have been good but cold pizza when at the restaurant is not ideal. Combined with needing to ask for a plate/silverware, which was not provided, led to a rather poor experience. The staff did manage a situation with an upset patron well as he made a scene about how his napkins were delivered to him. It was nice to see the staff step in and help each other while this individual yelled and came close to becoming physical. Well done as things could have gone much worse. I feel out of sync with other reviewers so I have to add a review. We like this place. A lot. We tend to come here for lunch but have had dinner as well. We sit at the bar. Bartenders are always very nice and service is good. Some of the lunch specials, burgers, are very reasonably priced . I also like the seared tuna salad. The beers are good and they have a nice list of rotating beers. Ambiance is traditional chain restaurant, nothing fancy but it is nice with a large bar area, booth and table seating. There is an outdoor patio area as well. Parking can be congested at night. Easy parking if you head to the back part of the parking lot. read more

Had a reservation. We were seated 20 mins after our reservation time. Didn't see a server for several minutes after that. Put in our food and drink order all together right away. Didn't get food until about an hour after we sat down. Appetizer and entrees arrived all at the same time and were only lukewarm. Fantastic selection of beer including the BJ's Oktoberfest which was very good. I had the Thursday evening Tri-Tip steak with 2 signature sides and their impressive "Pizookie" dessert for only $19. I was impressed with the quality and presentation of the entree; my only complaint if you call even call it that was the rice and steak were a little on the cool side.. I like my food to come out piping hot; the french fries were however. Great bar with plenty of TV's and open-concept restaurant design with outdoor/patio seating if you prefer. After two years from our disastrous first visit we returned to "try again". If there is one thing I can say that's positive about BJ's is that they are consistently bad. We both started with the chowder. It jiggled like a holiday jello mold and was as bland as, well I can't think of anything more bland. Salt and Pepper couldn't even save it. I had the Bacon Guac burger cooked medium. It was cool to the touch and had the texture of polenta. Like the chowder it was also bland at best. My dinning partner had the smokehouse burger and it was more of a house fire with the bun burnt to a crisp and the burger was undercooked. Both got sent back and the replacements were equally disappointing. All I can say we tried. On a positive note the soda and service was great. read more

This is a fun place for dinner. Good beer, nice small plate type stuff to share if you're with a group, and everything has been tasty. The servers are friendly though they sometimes struggle with how often the menu changes. I enjoy the burger sliders, nachos, and ahi poke most often. read more

Since BJ's restaurant and brewhouse has opened, I've been there at least once a week with a friend of mine we always hit the right booth. The white staff is very sweet and kind the manager Tim is really a sweetheart, and the waitress that we use is Cheryl I've known her a long long time from other places I get the same thing each time we come for lunch and they after lunch they asked if we need anything want anything else we said no we just wanna sit and talk and if they need the table to let us know I think it's time that they put a handicap button on their door or near it so people like my friend and I can get in there easier the doors are very heavy and to hold them open for someone who has a walker or Kane or a wheelchair has a hard time getting in there so I think it's time to get a handicap button so the door opens. I went through once they roundabout and got stuck in it so I think it's time but the food and the people that work there are so sweet and kind. I love going there they're friendly they know exactly what you want. They bring it right out nice and hot. I wish Cheryl and Tim worked there for a very long time. BJ's is a great addition to the collection of route 9 restaurants. While it's not anything SUPER special, it's hearty and yummy American food when you're craving something like burgers, pizza, etc. We got boneless lemon pepper chicken bites which were completely flavorless. If you're going to get the boneless wings 100% get a sauce with it. We also got potstickers for an appetizer which were delish! For mains I got the bison burger (GREAT flavor, really enjoyed this). The table got a BBQ burger, combo plate of ribs and steak and a Brussel sprouts salad. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Make sure you sign up for their rewards program, you get a free pizookie which is to die for! This is a great spot to watch a game with the number of tvs in the space or enjoy a lively dinner. read more

Have been here a couple of times and usually sit at the bar. Haven't had an issue getting two bar seats next to each other yet so that's a plus! The service at the bar is excellent - I've never had a bad experience. I usually do the soup and salad combo because their chicken tortilla soup is so good and the wedge salad is amazing, but ventured out and got the deep dish pepperoni pizza to share with a friend and it was really good - though deep dish isn't my thing. HOWEVER - i got the Pizookie sampler for dessert - one mini chocolate chunk, mini salted caramel, and mini cookies n cream. OMG please try this if you come here - you may want to go home and immediately go to sleep but wow pure happiness while consuming. The picture doesn't do it justice. I went there the other night because it's in front of my hotel. Bartenders were super friendly. I ordered mozzarella and tomato salad. It came out with mozzarella pearls and cut tomatoes on arugula. Im not sure if it was incompetence, lack of training, or complete negligence but the staff created, without a doubt, these worst dining experience of my life. From the hostess rolling her eyes at us to being forgotten about (with the entire patio might i add flagging down any waitress for help). There was a knife laying on the floor that i had to let 2 seperate waitresses know about before i finally picked up. We were there for 3+ hours and were able to only get 2 drinks the whole time (mind you the second time was the wrong drink). The staff was full of excuses when they would mess up and didnt communicate what would take so long and couldnt own up to their mistakes. We live so close and wanted to like this place to come back in the future, however, this is a sad excuse for a restraurant, the space would serve better as an empty building. read more

Horrible service and awful food. I was with a party of 6. We were seated at the bar area and waited 15 minutes before we finally had to ask for a server! It was 1:30 in the afternoon and not busy at all. Zero excuse. Our drinks were empty so we had to ask for the server again. We were served apps and had to ask for plates. The plates were near a window so when they were given to us they were ice cold. I ordered the shrimp tacos. They came out and there was iceberg lettuce and shrimp in the taco, that was it! This was the menu description: Chipotle mayonnaise | santa fe dressing | napa cabbage | carrots | red onions | cilantro | avocado cream sauce | fire-roasted salsa | crispy corn tortilla chips | side of black beans So why was I served a tortilla with iceberg and shrimp?!?! Fries were so burnt couldn't eat them. Philly cheese steak had so much meat in it had to take most of it out which left just the extra crunchy bread. No veggies in the sandwich as advertised. Our server only came to deliver our food, never came to check to see if we needed anything's no ketchup on the table for our daughter who had a burger and fries. For a Saturday evening on a holiday weekend and Boston Celtics on TV, you would think there would be a plan for staff to attend to customers needs. It was 10 mins by the time I sat at the bar until someone even asked if I had been helped. After ordering a beer with an appetizer (mozzarella sticks) at 9:50p, I just sat and waited, and waited, and waited some more. After 25 mins, I had to ask where the appetizer was. Finally staff went into kitchen and brought out sticks that were luke warm (which I take as sitting for a while). Never asked if I needed anything else (maybe a set up with a napkin would be nice w food). Didn't offer to order more food, which I would have if I didnt think it would take until Labor Day to be brought to me. Asked for a napkin, never brought over. I struggled to even leave a tip since it's based on SERVICE. Will have to seriously think about coming back. Do better, your customers should be a priority at any restaurant. read more

It's too bad. It's a nice concept and great location. Management obviously has their blinders on. The entire bars carbonation system was out of gas for the whole hour we were there and drink after drink went out and nobody noticed or did anything. They offer dozens of beers on tap, so if any place needs to have their CO2 system working, it's a place like this... Food was lacking seasoning and at $20+ per plate I would bet this place is closed within a couple years. Management, do your job. BJs is a casual spot with decent food and lots of beer options. The deep dish pizza here is okay. It's really just thick crust pan pizza and not like a Chicago-style deep dish. The biggest issue on a recent trip was they had run out of many beer options. They run some specials after 9pm most days, too. read more

I ate at BJ's in Hartford, ct area last night. Service was great but food is lacking. The clam chowder is like it's out of a can. Did a take out order and scheduled it for 5pm. I received a text at noon stating my food is ready. I had to call them and tell them my order is for 5pm. The staff said he sees that and it will be ready at the designated time. I arrived at the time requested and received my order as expected. Food was ok. Except the salad and dressing were stored in a freezer or in a very cold refrigerator. The salad was wilted and partially frozen and the dressing was a frozen lump. BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse opened this week in Framingham, which is a much shorter drive than their other locations in North Attleborough and Warwick, RI. BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse is not affiliated with a local company named BJ's Wholesale Club, which has a store less than a mile away. This standalone restaurant and bar is a newly constructed building with high ceilings and exposed air ducts, booths, tables, high tops, a square shaped bar with high chair seating all around, with plenty of beers on tap including their own signature brews from the Western US. The food menu is mainly new American pub fare including appetizers, deep dish pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, salads, pasta, steaks, tri tip, chicken, seafood, prime rib, and desserts including their pizookies! They also have a late night (Sun-Thu) happy hour 9pm to close and weekday happy hour from 3pm to 7pm offering select $6 appetizers, half off pizzas, and $3 chips & dips. I stopped in here for happy hour after work and was seated in the bar area at a high top table. My servers working together arrived promptly at my table within 2 minutes of being seated. I already knew what I wanted and started out with some $6 happy hour appetizers including the Chicken Potstickers and Avocado Egg Rolls and an ice water. As my servers walked away, another server immediately drops off my ice water with straw. My food arrives hot to my table in 7 minutes after ordering. The Avocado Egg Rolls were cut into 6 pieces, a hot crispy thin fried wrapper filled with soft avocado, cream cheese, cilantro, red onion, sundried tomato with a sweet tamarind dipping sauce. The Chicken Potstickers (6) were pan seared firm dumplings filled with soft chicken filling, garlic, ginger, yellow chives, topped with green onion, sesame seed and soy ginger dipping sauce. I also ordered a Mini BJ's Favorite Pizza ($7.13 half price) which was a thick soft crust filled with red sauce, black olives, green peppers, ground sausage, pepperoni, and mozzarella cheese, which was a great tasting and filling personal sized bar pizza pie. Since it was Tuesday on my visit, Pizookies were $4 on special (more than half off) and got the Salted Caramel Pizookie, which was a hot soft baked caramel toffee cookie topped with vanilla ice cream, Ghirardelli chocolate chips and caramel sauce. OMG, this is soo good! Also, I boxed up a bit of the apps so I could have the Pizookie Special. The deeply discounted check was $24.74 with tax and before tip. I also got some points added to my BJ's Premier Rewards Card too! The food I had was very tasty and very filling. The service was spot on with a team of staff stopping by to check in, serve food, and clear my dishes. I am so glad that there is a BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse location somewhat closer to me now. Hopefully, they will open more locations north of Boston and into NH in the future. read more

Loved the limited menu "practice" dinner so much, have been back twice in the first week of their opening. I was further impressed with this spot. Sat at the bar one night and enjoyed their excellent pork chop... a fantastic dish that comes with your choice of 2 sides. Perfectly cooked, a great choice. On my next visit, had the Guacamole and chips... let's just say that they have some of the best guac you'll find anywhere.... seems like the same guac they use for the egg rolls... really great. Tried the Tavern Cut Pepperoni Pizza... honestly, not my favorite item... I will concentrate on the many other excellent things on the large and will go elsewhere for pizza. My wife absolutely loved her Cherry Chipotle Glazed Salmon entree. We finished up with my first Pizookie... their famous dessert that they have in many flavors. The Strawberry Shortcake was very good. As an aside, I love how they show a photo of every dish on their web site. Wish more places would do that. Really tells a lot about a dish. Third time failed to provide reasonable customer service. Another order placed to pick up at curbside and again, failed to alert that order was ready. Again, had to walk in while raining only to see the order sitting on shelf .. 45 minutes after told order would be ready. What is it with this failed and ineffective syatem? The first time this happened, I had a broken foot and had to walk into pick up order, again because of failed notice. The manager had the nerve to tell me to come back in and resolve this. //Please swing back by our location and personally share this experience with the manager so we can do right by you.// Why was the onus on me to come in after making me wait and limp in with a broken foot? Shouldn't he, the manager , have reached out and make an effort? Want to like this place and comeback but not after the horrible and lazy service three times now! read more
