Fantastic selection of beer including the BJ's Oktoberfest which was very good. I had the Thursday evening Tri-Tip steak with 2 signature sides and their impressive "Pizookie" dessert for only $19. I was impressed with the quality and presentation of the entree; my only complaint if you call even call it that was the rice and steak were a little on the cool side.. I like my food to come out piping hot; the french fries were however. Great bar with plenty of TV's and open-concept restaurant design with outdoor/patio seating if you prefer. Loved the limited menu "practice" dinner so much, have been back twice in the first week of their opening. I was further impressed with this spot. Sat at the bar one night and enjoyed their excellent pork chop... a fantastic dish that comes with your choice of 2 sides. Perfectly cooked, a great choice. On my next visit, had the Guacamole and chips... let's just say that they have some of the best guac you'll find anywhere.... seems like the same guac they use for the egg rolls... really great. Tried the Tavern Cut Pepperoni Pizza... honestly, not my favorite item... I will concentrate on the many other excellent things on the large and will go elsewhere for pizza. My wife absolutely loved her Cherry Chipotle Glazed Salmon entree. We finished up with my first Pizookie... their famous dessert that they have in many flavors. After two years from our disastrous first visit we returned to "try again". If there is one thing I can say that's positive about BJ's is that they are consistently bad. We both started with the chowder. It jiggled like a holiday jello mold and was as bland as, well I can't think of anything more bland. Salt and Pepper couldn't even save it. I had the Bacon Guac burger cooked medium. It was cool to the touch and had the texture of polenta. Like the chowder it was also bland at best. My dinning partner had the smokehouse burger and it was more of a house fire with the bun burnt to a crisp and the burger was undercooked. Both got sent back and the replacements were equally disappointing. All I can say we tried. On a positive note the soda and service was great. read more

First strike: we asked to sit out on the patio. Sorry, they said, the server assigned to that area won't be in for another half an hour. Ok, fine, we'll have a seat at a booth around the bar. Second strike: the booth we sat at didn't have a server. if we wanted service, we'd have to sit at a high top. Wait .. so, we can't sit on the patio. we can't sit around the bar. I feel out of sync with other reviewers so I have to add a review. We like this place. A lot. We tend to come here for lunch but have had dinner as well. We sit at the bar. Bartenders are always very nice and service is good. Some of the lunch specials, burgers, are very reasonably priced . I also like the seared tuna salad. The beers are good and they have a nice list of rotating beers. Ambiance is traditional chain restaurant, nothing fancy but it is nice with a large bar area, booth and table seating. There is an outdoor patio area as well. Parking can be congested at night. Easy parking if you head to the back part of the parking lot. read more

Im not sure if it was incompetence, lack of training, or complete negligence but the staff created, without a doubt, these worst dining experience of my life. From the hostess rolling her eyes at us to being forgotten about (with the entire patio might i add flagging down any waitress for help). There was a knife laying on the floor that i had to let 2 seperate waitresses know about before i finally picked up. We were there for 3+ hours and were able to only get 2 drinks the whole time (mind you the second time was the wrong drink). The staff was full of excuses when they would mess up and didnt communicate what would take so long and couldnt own up to their mistakes. It was 1:30 in the afternoon and not busy at all. Zero excuse. Our drinks were empty so we had to ask for the server again. We were served apps and had to ask for plates. The plates were near a window so when they were given to us they were ice cold. I ordered the shrimp tacos. They came out and there was iceberg lettuce and shrimp in the taco, that was it! BJ's is a great addition to the collection of route 9 restaurants. While it's not anything SUPER special, it's hearty and yummy American food when you're craving something like burgers, pizza, etc. We got boneless lemon pepper chicken bites which were completely flavorless. If you're going to get the boneless wings 100% get a sauce with it. We also got potstickers for an appetizer which were delish! For mains I got the bison burger (GREAT flavor, really enjoyed this). The table got a BBQ burger, combo plate of ribs and steak and a Brussel sprouts salad. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Make sure you sign up for their rewards program, you get a free pizookie which is to die for! Have been here a couple of times and usually sit at the bar. Haven't had an issue getting two bar seats next to each other yet so that's a plus! The service at the bar is excellent - I've never had a bad experience. I usually do the soup and salad combo because their chicken tortilla soup is so good and the wedge salad is amazing, but ventured out and got the deep dish pepperoni pizza to share with a friend and it was really good - though deep dish isn't my thing. HOWEVER - i got the Pizookie sampler for dessert - one mini chocolate chunk, mini salted caramel, and mini cookies n cream. OMG please try this if you come here - you may want to go home and immediately go to sleep but wow pure happiness while consuming. The picture doesn't do it justice. For a Saturday evening on a holiday weekend and Boston Celtics on TV, you would think there would be a plan for staff to attend to customers needs. It was 10 mins by the time I sat at the bar until someone even asked if I had been helped. After ordering a beer with an appetizer (mozzarella sticks) at 9:50p, I just sat and waited, and waited, and waited some more. After 25 mins, I had to ask where the appetizer was. Finally staff went into kitchen and brought out sticks that were luke warm (which I take as sitting for a while). Never asked if I needed anything else (maybe a set up with a napkin would be nice w food). Didn't offer to order more food, which I would have if I didnt think it would take until Labor Day to be brought to me. Asked for a napkin, never brought over. I struggled to even leave a tip since it's based on SERVICE. Will have to seriously think about coming back. Do better, your customers should be a priority at any restaurant. read more

The entire bars carbonation system was out of gas for the whole hour we were there and drink after drink went out and nobody noticed or did anything. They offer dozens of beers on tap, so if any place needs to have their CO2 system working, it's a place like this... Food was lacking seasoning and at $20+ per plate I would bet this place is closed within a couple years. Management, do your job. BJs is a casual spot with decent food and lots of beer options. The deep dish pizza here is okay. It's really just thick crust pan pizza and not like a Chicago-style deep dish. The biggest issue on a recent trip was they had run out of many beer options. They run some specials after 9pm most days, too. read more

We love coming here. My husband and I usually sit at the bar and usually we get to have Liz or Erika as our bartenders. They are AWESOME! Very attentive, respectful and both very hard workers. I can't say that for the other bar tenders there but these 2 are TOP NOTCH. They are so great with all of their customers and i can tell that people are satisfied. The staff said he sees that and it will be ready at the designated time. I arrived at the time requested and received my order as expected. Food was ok. Except the salad and dressing were stored in a freezer or in a very cold refrigerator. The salad was wilted and partially frozen and the dressing was a frozen lump. BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse opened this week in Framingham, which is a much shorter drive than their other locations in North Attleborough and Warwick, RI. BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse is not affiliated with a local company named BJ's Wholesale Club, which has a store less than a mile away. This standalone restaurant and bar is a newly constructed building with high ceilings and exposed air ducts, booths, tables, high tops, a square shaped bar with high chair seating all around, with plenty of beers on tap including their own signature brews from the Western US. The food menu is mainly new American pub fare including appetizers, deep dish pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, salads, pasta, steaks, tri tip, chicken, seafood, prime rib, and desserts including their pizookies! They also have a late night (Sun-Thu) happy hour 9pm to close and weekday happy hour from 3pm to 7pm offering select $6 appetizers, half off pizzas, and $3 chips & dips. I stopped in here for happy hour after work and was seated in the bar area at a high top table. My servers working together arrived promptly at my table within 2 minutes of being seated. I already knew what I wanted and started out with some $6 happy hour appetizers including the Chicken Potstickers and Avocado Egg Rolls and an ice water. As my servers walked away, another server immediately drops off my ice water with straw. My food arrives hot to my table in 7 minutes after ordering. The Avocado Egg Rolls were cut into 6 pieces, a hot crispy thin fried wrapper filled with soft avocado, cream cheese, cilantro, red onion, sundried tomato with a sweet tamarind dipping sauce. The Chicken Potstickers (6) were pan seared firm dumplings filled with soft chicken filling, garlic, ginger, yellow chives, topped with green onion, sesame seed and soy ginger dipping sauce. I also ordered a Mini BJ's Favorite Pizza ($7.13 half price) which was a thick soft crust filled with red sauce, black olives, green peppers, ground sausage, pepperoni, and mozzarella cheese, which was a great tasting and filling personal sized bar pizza pie. Since it was Tuesday on my visit, Pizookies were $4 on special (more than half off) and got the Salted Caramel Pizookie, which was a hot soft baked caramel toffee cookie topped with vanilla ice cream, Ghirardelli chocolate chips and caramel sauce. OMG, this is soo good! Also, I boxed up a bit of the apps so I could have the Pizookie Special. The deeply discounted check was $24.74 with tax and before tip. I also got some points added to my BJ's Premier Rewards Card too! The food I had was very tasty and very filling. The service was spot on with a team of staff stopping by to check in, serve food, and clear my dishes. I am so glad that there is a BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse location somewhat closer to me now. Service and atmosphere was amazing. However, the food was... eh.. and a few hours after getting home, my wife was pointing both directions at the toilet after what we suspect was undercooked shrimp jambalaya. It came out nearly instantly, and in hindsight, the shrimp seemed to be a bit translucent. Called the manager to let them know, and he tried to tell me that if it's coming out both ends, it can't be food poisoning from something she just ate, however I was pretty's sure this was not true. After doing some quick research, it is very common for food poisoning to trigger diarrhea and vomiting within hours. Even though I never asked for anything, I was not offered any sort of credit or refund or anything to make up the incident, so I'm here on Yelp, and of course seeing lots of others complaining about undercooked food. Won't be going back, and the health inspector will be called. This is dangerous!! read more

I wish they were in our area as we like them a lot. The appetizers aren't greet though. The onion rings aren't made there and are disappointing. But the steak tips are great, and drinks. No one has a better dessert than the pizouki. The service is usually good. Today I thought our waitress lacked enthusiasm but she was there often, and when my wife complained about 1 of her appetizers she said it was a common complaint, rather than doubt her which was a great way to show support. We didn't have to wait much but we were seated at a table which wasn't even set. Our server was kind but not attentive. He was only coming to us when we were looking for him. I ordered a $30 dish. I was asked how I would like my steak cooked. Medium rare. When I received the steak it was way over cooked. For a $30 dish I decided it's only fair to send it back. The next one I got was literally raw piece of meat. Not a good cut either. It was chewy and full of cartilage. We had to look for the server yet again. He said he would take it off the bill. When we were ready to pay we saw that I was charged twice so in a way I was paying for the meal after all. We had to look for the server again, as he would not check on us if we didn't need anything. Over all very unpleasant experience. I don't know if it is a kitchen issue, service issue or management. It is most likely all of the above. It is unfortunate as I see the potential in this place but seeing all of the owner responses to other reviews they seem very generic and I don't anticipate any change.
