Food was delicious and they have a great selection! I tried something new this time, I got the BJ's bowl with shrimp. It was super fresh and tasty! I'd like to try the Tri-tip next. The portion was really generous and I felt I got a good value for the money. I placed an online order and what they gave me was incorrect (wrong items) however they were great at helping get the correct order when I called after getting home. I find this is pretty common at restaurants when ordering take out so just a good reminder to myself to check all the items before leaving the store so I don't have to circle back again. But it was nice of them to correct the error still, especially after a long day.

The prime rib with the mushroom and onions!!

After sitting a good 14 min Hannah showed up! There was a mix up on who's table we were at. She was great and kept on with our table. Refills on time... food was decent! Other than the mushrooms and onions being ridiculously small portioned the meal was good. The inside was clean and nice. It's to the point with this chain they all lack the management to train their staff to be the best.

First time with my niece and it didn't disappoint. For a Friday night service was very prompt. The atmosphere was pleasant not too loud. I had a cesar salad nothing to exciting and also had the dill pickle wings which were delicious. They were bigger then most wings and very juicy. My niece had a smash burger and biscoff pizookie. The pizookie was dangerously delicious.

Tyler the BEST server!!!

Today's 5 stars goes to Tyler for his OUTSTANDING customer-centered service! With an enthusiastic smile, Tyler ensured our table received top notch service!!' The Cajun shrimp dish my friend had smelled great! I had the individual pan pizza that was made to perfection - love the crust!!! Overall, this was a great visit mostly because of the service received from Tyler!!!

Late night munchies! Beer cheese and a giant pretzel is always a WIN! Delicious! We were having a blast that I forgot to snap pictures of our entres which we devoured!

The food was so great! I had the All-American Smash Burger with a Biscoff Pizookie for dessert. At the beginning the service wasn't the best, we had been sat at the table for a while before a server approached to take our drink order. But after that point the service got much better! Our server stayed on top of our drinks and our food came out quick. Overall, I am very happy with tonight, and will be back again!

BBQ Barbeque Chicken Pizza - Large

A rough experience! The place is huge and is always filled with people and the servers always seem a bit stretched thin. There were many time we were waiting on refills, silverware, extra plates. The pizza was tasty, but drenched with more bbq than I like and a bit overcooked. I love the variety and vibe of this place, but wasn't impressed with this visit.

During a hour lunch break, a coworker and I decided to dine here as it's only 0.3 miles from the office. I'm from Arizona, so I chose something familiar and usually a quick meal. Sadly, service was pretty slow and the kitchen didn't serve food as quick as the location near my house in Arizona. The waitress was very friendly and the dining room was clean. Overall, it was a decent experience but did make us late to return to work as fairly slow service for a weekday lunch.

We came, we ate, we drank. BJ has always been on my radar so I finally made a move to impressed. It was oh so good. I want a light beer as a chaser. I sampled 2 beers and choice the lightly. My wife had a dry martini..too much gin. It was a whole lot of gin with a lemon, not cute. There was no olive in the dirty martini. For the meal, I had a BJ pizza which was not hot but the aroma from the pizza was to die for. Wifey had a complex order she wanted the broccoli cheddar soup in a bowl along with a cup of Chili for and extra $2.99. Unfortunately, she got a bowl of chilli with no broccoli cheddar. How come, when it was order. For the finale, we both had pizookie. Wifey had the carmel and I had the strawberry shortcake. I want to come back if not for the ambience of it all! Our server was fantastic. It was game day and we had a quiet afternoon with a beer and BJ and our Pizookies

seared ahi tuna salad
Didi N.

I'm not sure why this place has low ratings but when we went, we had a great time! The food was also pretty good! We came on a random weekday during lunch and while there was little wait to be seated, we had an amazing server! She was so sweet, bubbly, and took such good care of us!! All of her recommendations were also on point too! If you go during happy hour, certain apps are half off! Which was good cause the prices were a little pricey. We had the following: Fried calamari - 9/10 - my husband and I absolutely loved this appetizer. We always try out the fried calamari at other restaurants but we were shocked how good it was here. We don't like the type of batter where it's chunky so when it came out with tempura like batter, we were thrilled! The calamari was tender, fried to a beautiful golden color, and the crunch was insane! What we appreciate the most about the batter that it was light and not overly greasy. We didn't feel yuck after eating it. It came with two dipping sauces, an aioli and marinara sauce. Not sure what was in that aioli but I could drink it! It was smooth, creamy, and I think it has garlic in it? The calamari came with a lemon and I appreciate that because citrus always brightens up the seafood's flavor. Seared ahi tuna salad - 8/10 - this salad was huge!!! It was the size of my head! There were spring mix, tomatoes, crispy wonton skins, shredded cabbage, pickled cucumbers, cilantro, avocado, and slices of seared, sesame coated tuna. Everything was incredibly fresh but I wish there were more and bigger slices of tuna. I was disappointed in the amount of tuna that was on the salad as I wanted a better ratio of it compared to the greens and toppings. The rice wine vinaigrette was tangy, light, and paired well with the tuna. The tuna was fresh as I couldn't detect any fishy aftertaste but I don't taste how it's seared. Overall, a pretty good salad that I would eat again. Jambalaya - 8/10 - my husband loved his entrée and he said while it's not as good as the ones in New Orleans, the flavors and spices were hitting all the spots. I tried a piece of sausage and it had that distinct smoky taste. The portion size was pretty big too! It had chicken, sausage, shrimp, green bell peppers, onions, rice, in a thick, Cajun spiced stew. He enjoyed his entrée and finished it! Our waitress recommended the cookies and cream pazooki (warm cookie on a skillet with ice cream and cookies and cream whipped topping) The pazooki was phenomenal! I would rate it a 10++++++/10 - the dark chocolate chunk cookie in the skillet was warm and gooey and the vanilla ice cream combined with the cool cookies and cream whipped topping was WOW!! Surprisingly it wasn't sweet and it was like eating a heavenly dessert. You get the warm, comforting, nostalgic feel of a fresh baked cookie and the coolness of the ice cream and it was was outstanding! I could eat like 5 more of these! My husband and I finished dessert in no time! We were so happy! Overall, BJ's is a good place for lunch or dinner. The prices are on the pricier side but if you come during happy hour, I think it's M-F between 3-6pm, things are cheaper and you get a bang for your buck! We thought the portion sizes were good and the food was pretty good, So it's okay to splurge here and there, especially if you enjoy the atmosphere, service, and food! We will be back to try other things, especially the other pazookis...

Complimentary kids plate (so cute right?!)

BJ's is always a solid choice, but their $12 Loaded Burgers on Wednesdays are a must-try! We had the Hickory Brisket and Bacon Burger and they were huge, juicy, and came stacked with toppings--definitely a steal for the price. Pair it with their crispy fries, and you've got a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. My daughter's favorite is the Boneless Buffalo Chicken--perfectly crispy, tossed in just the right amount of sauce, and full of flavor. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or having a sit-down meal with friends and family, BJ's delivers great food and a fun atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient and they were so sweet to give us a complimentary kids plate. Such a simple gesture but definitely tipped the scales for a top notch experience. Highly recommend checking them out and don't forget the Pizookie!!

Over steamed broccoli.

Lighting was good when we walked in. The hostess was friendly. Waitress got the drink orders timely. We looked at their extensive menu, made our choices. That's where this review takes a turn. Let me preface this by saying it was not the waitress's fault that the food wasn't good. She was fantastic, and the tip reflected her good service. Kitchen was way off. Ordered broccoli vs fries with my burger. Could not eat the broccoli. Steamed mush. Also, friend has the French dip. Bread was hard, and the meat was dried out. Fries are fries. Didn't eat many of them. The kitchen wasn't busy, restaurant was 1/2 full. Have eaten there before, it's never like this. Not sure if this was an off night, or what. They definitely need more attention to the food. Service was great.

Even though we had a reservation, it didn't seem to make a difference. We waited about 15 minutes just to find a host or hostess to be seated. During that time, we saw several other groups leave because no one was available to greet or seat them. It wasn't the best first impression and definitely set the tone for the visit. Once we were seated, the food was excellent. You can really tell that everything is made from scratch, and the quality and freshness stood out. The Garlic Parmesan Brussels Sprouts, topped with garlic aioli and Parmesan cheese, were delicious and packed with flavor. I also ordered the Kale Caesar Salad with grilled chicken, which was fresh and well-balanced with house greens, Parmesan cheese, and Caesar vinaigrette. My little ones ordered the Crispy Southern Fried Chicken Fingers with fries, and they both really enjoyed their meals. Overall, the food was definitely the highlight of our visit, but the service and lack of organization upon arrival could use improvement. If they can address the front-of-house experience, it would make for a much better visit.

Upon being shown to our booth, the floor by the table we were seated at was extremely slippery. At first I thought it was due to a fresh mopping and they had just forgotten a sign, but it stayed extremely hard to navigate the entire meal. Let's get into the highlights: some of the freshest table side guacamole I've ever had. Made right in front of you and you get a ton for what you pay for. My lunch portion of my Yucatán Quesadilla was only $9.99 as it was a Friday and it was just okay. Unfortunately, I did have to cut it myself. The "small" margarita for $12.99 is absolutely gigantic. In fact, every drink I saw come out was of ginormous proportion and seems to be the main draw here. Unfortunately, I was a bit let down by both the salsa, as even though there was a full bar, none of the options were all that tasty. The biggest detractor was honestly the service. Our server was extremely nice on the surface, but every opportunity was used to upsell by every member of the staff. A bigger drink, another appetizer, another drink, handing us their card and asking for a review following paying. I normally never have issue with this but it became overwhelming at a certain point. This restaurant absolutely feels like it has potential, but might suffocate over its mistakes in an extremely crowded Town Center/Southside Market.

Midtown Table in St Johns Town Center is a special place for us. It's been our go-to for special…read moreevents for more than a few years. We've gone there for Valentine's Day, birthdays and even with friends and family the night before our wedding. So when Lauren suggested it for tonight, the first thing I said was "but it's not a special occasion" lol. Per usual, we made it a special occasion just because. They change over from the lunch menu to dinner at 5 and we got there a little early, so we took a seat at the bar. Good thing we did because that allowed me to start with their amazing Tiramisu Martini! At 5, we cashed out at the bar and headed to our table where we started with their bread House Bread. We've had the bread so many times before but it's such a great go-to. After that, I ordered one of their specials for tonight which was a twist on their Risotto that included mussels. I'm not very big on tomatoes but I left them in for this because I've been trying to just trust these great chefs in our area and enjoy the dishes the way they intended them. And again, I'm glad I did. I didn't exactly scarf down the tomatoes but they did add something to the overall flavor, so I'm glad I left them in. Lauren had the Hand Cut Fettuccine. She LOVED it. She said it hit every note on the flavor palette. Take a look at the attached photos and you'll see how much she loved it. She said it was sweet, savory, tangy and everything in between. Per usual, we finished up with Midtown Table Ice Craam. I *rarely* use this phrase but if you haven't had it, you're just plain missing out. Take a look at the ingredients list on the menu photo I've included. You'll probably say the say thing I said the first time, which was "h*ll to the no". We literally had to be talking into trying it by a server a while back. I've never been more happy with the result of arm twisting in my life. It's just so, so good. So yeah, we didn't have a special occasion as a reason to go to Midtown Table but I'm so glad my wife reminded me that every day can be a special occasion if you want to. What a fabulous dinner. This review originally appeared in the Jacksonville Fun, Eats & Drinks Facebook group.

From the moment we walked in until we left, the staff was friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. We started with the Calabrian chili wings. They were crispy, hot, and packed with flavor. My only criticisms are that a few of the wings could have used a little more of the Calabrian glaze, they were disrespectfully small, they were all flats, and surprisingly, the restaurant doesn't serve blue cheese dressing despite offering several dishes featuring blue cheese. For my entrée, I ordered the hand-cut fettuccine with glacier blue cheese cream sauce, Calabrian honey, tomato confit, crispy pancetta, and added steak. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the dish had an incredible balance of sweet and savory flavors. I've ordered this same dish on all three visits because it's that good. Every time I tell myself I'm going to try something different, and every time I end up ordering it again. My wife ordered the vodka pizza, and it was excellent. After trying a slice, I can confidently recommend it. On future visits, we'll probably order the pizza as an appetizer to share. It's delicious, easily shareable, and a much better value than the wings or some of the other starters. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails, and each one was excellent. The frozen fruit and vegetables embedded in the ice cubes were a creative touch that made the drinks feel even more special. If I had one suggestion, it would be to serve bread with the pasta dishes. It would be the perfect accompaniment to soak up every last bit of those incredible sauces. Overall, Midtown Table continues to impress. The food is consistently excellent, the cocktails are creative, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. If you're looking for one of the best dining experiences in the area, Midtown Table absolutely deserves a visit

But I do wish it came with more toppings like lettuce and tomato. We also got the cajun seafood pasta since it looks like that's a popular pick. I really liked the sauce. It's probably better if you dine in and eat it right when it's ready.
