Visiting from up north for the Senior Bowl practices and randomly stumbled upon BJs on Google Maps when just looking at restaurants around. I went by myself and expected the service to be decent cause it was only one person so the tip wasn't going to be high for a server so they wouldn't care. I was surprised to find out that the server was welcoming and explained the menu in detail so I could enjoy my experience to the fullest. Next year during Senior Bowl Week, I will be back with others. read more

I've been to a few other BJ locations and nothing particularly stands out about this place. Yes they have a big menu. Yes they have an extensive beer selection (yet no Corona to have with tacos). Service wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great. We sat in the bar area on a Friday afternoon/evening and our server was very friendly, but she wasn't around that much. All the pizzas we ordered came out quickly but were just average. Overall for Mobile, it's borderline great, but compared to the rest of the US, it's just average. read more

Bj,'s good food and environment for crowd groups. If you want to enjoy a quiet dinner not the place, I feel a little priced. Steaks are good and juicy. Not much on anything else, greasy food has made me sick. Place is spacey. Not my top pick. 1-50 I'll keep it in the 30's. read more

We love coming here, it's one of our staple Friday date night restaurants. The menu is so large and diverse, it shouldn't be difficult to find something. I really enjoy the mediterranean pita tacos, peanut chicken with soba noodles, lemon thyme chicken, barbacoa chicken (I obviously eat a lot of chicken!). We've gotten several appetizers in the past and have been pleased with all of them. My husband loves the hatch chile queso. Their mashed potatoes are AMAZING too. Not to mention the pizookies...so good! We don't really get dessert while out to eat but we do here because warm deep dish cookies straight from the oven are just, amazing. We've never really had a bad experience here. The service is also top-notch! read more

Good food, I have tried a lot of different items and been very pleased with everything. For the desert the pozookies are killer and something to fight over. The food is okay quality. My steak was noticeably undercooked, but I tolerated it. They have many beers here and a lot of drinks to try. Last night, I had a large deep dish sweet pig pizza. The crust tasted like beer and it was cut 1.5 times or something like that because many of the pieces were split down the center and very hard to pick up, much less hold. The only good things were the service and the price. read more

Well, this has become our weekly thing. I'm telling you right now, this is hands down the best thing going in Mobile. We have yet to get a bad dish or service. Normally with a menu as large as theirs it's difficult to do everything well. BJ's has done that very thing. It's become my obsession to work my way through the entire menu. Tonight my wife went with the steak and garlic green beans and I went with the full rack of baby backs with the sauteed brussel sprouts. We started out with the trioof small plates and we chose the turmeric cauliflower, parmesan carrots and the golden beets with goat cheese. Outstanding! My wife said that the Turmeric roasted cauliflower with lentils and almonds was her new favorite. Our server, Sabrina is the absolute best. Their manager Celeste is the greatest. She has a great restaurant with a great staff and she's doing it right. I will post our pictures. Well their menu looks great but we wouldn't know if the food was good or not because apparently no one wanted to serve us. Went in for lunch starving with two kids. They sat us, it was pretty empty, but no one ever came over to even take a drink order or say we'll be right with you until we stood up to leave someone said your server will be right over. Very nice and new concept in the desert of Mobile Alabama. The menu was presented well and had a large variety of items to select from. I enjoyed the food and the service was also great. We ordered the avocado egg roll for an appetizer and it was absolutely delicious. For my entree I ordered the chicken fried steak burger just to try something different. It was a large portion and I barely finished half of the burger. My husband ordered a burger as well and enjoyed. I will definetly be back again to try more menu items. I am not a beer drinker but it's one of their specialties along with burgers and pizzas. I decided to try bj's tonight for dinner with my boyfriend. I was displeased to say the least. We ordered spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer and that was pretty good. We ate it all. Then we ordered chicken Alfredo and broccoli cheese soup to share. Ty soup cane out first and it tasted like it had been left over from the day before and reheated but I still ate it because I was hungry and pregnant. Then the pasta came. The noodles were very under cooked and there was about 5 dices of chicken. So I ate the chicken. As soon as I left I could even make it home (which is only about 10 minutes away) before I had to stop and use the bathroom. I was so sick. I will not be returning. read more

Third time here and nothing has really changed. Waited almost 20 miutes to get our drink order before ordering dinner .The place wasn't busy either. I stopped the server and ask what is taking so long with the drinks and her responce was " They havn't made them yet"! My responce was "Why don't you go check why". Her responce was "Would you like to speak to my manager"? I replyed "If she can get us a drink,Yes"! I think the manager made our drinks! They were good but never saw the server again during the meal or the manager. The food was Ok , but the experiece in trying to get a cocktail and the servers attitude just ruined it for us. Three strikes and you are out. This place just doesn't cut it ! They did comp the late drinks, but I can pay for my own drinks ! I went to the BJ's in Mobile recently with my wife and son. Our experience left something to be desired, to say the least. It was raining when we got there, so when we were taken to our table, we quickly discovered that the floor was like walking on wet glass! My wife and I are both elderly and found the journey to the restroom an "adventure" to say the least! She had to grab the wall going into the restroom to keep from falling! There were NO "Wet Floor" signs evident anywhere, and yet several times during our meal, employees were seen trying to dry the tile floor! If something is not done about this situation, somebody is going to be seriously hurt, I am afraid. The employees are aware of the problems; more that one commented to us that they have to wear 'slip proof' shoes on the job, whatever kind of shoes that is! Now to the meal. I ordered the house special for Friday-Sunday, the Prime Rib. It cost $26 and would have been worth that IF the steak was not so tough and full if gristle! I could not cut the steak with the case knife wrapped in my knapkin and had to request a sharp steak knife! Even then I had to really work to cut the steak I was served! I have never had a prime rib as tough as this steak was! Normally, you can cut a prime rib with a fork with a little help from a case knife; this was not my experience on this visit. My son ordered the Double Bone porkchop, and my wife had a Chicken Club sandwich. Both said their meal was excellent! After our meal, the Mobile Checkout process was a cluster f*** to put it mildly. A staff member attempted to resolve the issue, but finally, after several moments, even she gave up, and I gave her my credit card to be handled manually! I have ApplePay capability on my phone and really find using that process to be quick and easy and painless. Why has BJ's made such an uncomplicated process one that takes (or took) over 10 minutes to complete? My wife has told me that she will not return to BJ's, simply because of the issue with the floor, and the danger it presents for falling! I hope something will be done to remedy this situation ASAP! read more

My husband thought BJ's would be a good idea for our anniversary. He ordered several things and nothing looked like the menu pictures. Not only that, we ordered two kinds of boneless wings. They were hard and just tasted ok. In the picture the avocado egg rolls look so chunky and good. It was as if someone made guacamole and then just stuffed it into a rolled up tortilla. The root beer glazed ribs had no meat on them. It was root beer glazed bones. The cheese sticks were hard. The only thing that was good was the sliders. However the fries were cold and hard. On top of that, before my husband left the restaurant he wanted them to verify that everything was double checked. The server said she did. I had the bacon-guacamole burger which came with beer-battered fries, both of which exceeded my expectations. The burger was a little messy, but tasted satisfactory; the fries were golden and cooked to absolute perfection. Our waitress also made a solid recommendation from their draft. The beer complimented the food very well. Finally, we also received a free dessert after simply downloading the restaurant's smartphone app, and I do declare the "pizzookie" (which is a warm cookie topped with ice cream and, in my case, salted caramel) is one of the top 3 desserts in the Mobile area. read more

I did a call ahead. We had a party of 5, 3 adults and 2 kids. The hostess was funny since she joked about it taking 30 minutes and my husbands face and reaction was funny. Every employee we came across was extremely friendly. The booth and table was clean. The menu was clean and full of items to choose from. The waitress came for our drink order and those came back in a decent time. We order an appetizer and the kids food. While the kids waited for their food they were brought a garlic not and fruit while they colored. Our appetizer was brought out and we order our dinner. It was not a short wait for our food but also not an extremely long wait. We were still working on app when our dinner was brought out. All of our dinners were delicious and we got the triple chocolate pizookie for MIL birthday. Very delicious! I wish they had a place in Baldwin county. It's worth the drive to go back very soon. read more
