I've really got to give BJ's 5 stars because of the plethora of options they have on their menu. Every Sunday evening my husband and I toss ideas as to what we want for dinner, whether it's Italian, American, or Mercian, BJ's has it. I've always been extremely pleased with every meal I've gotten there and I am particularly obsessed with their fries! They are so crisp it could eat them all. We stopped here on Friday afternoon around 1:30 ish for lunch. We sat in the bar and was served quickly. We ordered from the lunch menu. I ordered the MahiMahi Fish Tacos and my son ordered pizza and a ceasar salad. I ordered iced tea to drink, my son had water. We both enjoyed our lunches, but decided we'd try something else on our next visit, as they didn't stand out to us. We did have to wait 30 mins (but on a Friday after work, come on who wouldnt expect that) and once seated recieved a half off coupon for a pizza! nice touch BJs!!! Beer was yummy, calamari as an app was delicious (not greasy) and the turkey burger with fries was a great way to wrap up a rough week. Our server, Octavio?, was friendly but not pushy while being patient as we were deep in conversation. A reliable restaurant. The menu is extensive. While the food is not spectacular, I have never been disappointed. The Pizookie (freshly baked cookie in a mini pizza pan and scoop of ice cream) makes for a nice dessert. The beer is better at Nimbus and Thunder Canyon. read more

Last Tuesday my sister and I arrived at the establishment around 4PM, she was craving the cookie thing they had so we thought we'd stop by at a less hectic time. The restaurant was relatively empty. We stood in the lobby area for a good 3 minutes before someone noticed and seated us. We did not get our menus until another while has passed. But I can count the clock all I want. The main point is, the restaurant was slow, there was no reason why the service has to mirror the rate of which customers are coming. If it weren't for the delicious half-melted cookie topped with ice-cream, as well as my whiny younger sibling, I would not have waited for our waiter when she finally made her way over. read more

Always a great meal, with excellent service and as always rather lackluster hostess service. Please, Tucson managers - TRAIN your host staff! Families, especially with babies and young children, large groups, seat together in a loud section. Couples, especially those with veterans, seat in a quiet section - away from the kitchen! By scattering babies, children and large parties all over the restaurant it becomes impossible to hear each other at the table! Since restaurateurs insist on decorating in hard surfaces, this compounds the problem. read more

The food selection offers something for everyone in the family. I also should add that although it's a busy restaurant the service is excellent! THEY CHANGED THE FRIES ! This is one of our regular places for lunch. Good selection of their own and other's IPAs. Although, Beer is a little pricey at $6 a pint. Love their buttermilk fried chicken lunch or the Parmesan crusted chicken. Fish tacos are also good. Nice atmosphere and great wait staff ( big shout out to Shannon and Brittany). However I'm marking BJs down because THEY CHANGED THE FRIES ! They had the best thin and crispy fires ANYWHERE ( move over Mickey D) and I would order them instead of vegetables with the chicken that already came with mashed. LYUM! Some corporate genius, apparently without thinking about asking their customers' opinions, decided it was simpler and cheaper to just revert to serving only the pedestrian and mushy variety of fries you can get anywhere else. Just tried this place - very disappointed. The prices were ridiculous ($12 for a cobb salad?) and the food was, quite literally, inedible. For a "brewhouse" (the beer is obviously not brewed here) the beer was overpriced and tasted only marginally better than a High Life. Our food (one small calzone and one cobb salad) took 50 minutes to materialize after we ordered. The server was great, though - I felt very bad that she had to deal with such a terribly managed restaurant. Bad ingredients, bad food, bad beer, high prices. What a gem. read more

I wish I could give BJ's a better review... I really do. Because I picked it, it was nice inside, and the service was fantastic. The food on the other hand, was incredibly forgettable. So forgettable, that I forgot I even ate here a few months ago. I had the barbacoa chicken, that I had high hopes for. Only to find out it was a piece of grilled chicken, rolled around in taco flavored seasoning on a bed of rice with bits of tomato, black beans, and more taco flavored seasoning. It could have easily have been a frozen dinner from Safeway. The truth is, the restauramt has great curb appeal to draw in customers, but the food doesn't deliver. Not for the money they're charging. I don't like to post negative reviews but I gave them second chance and disappointed again food was gross just like they bring someone else leftover!!! Well, I always love checking out new breweries either here in town or when I travel. I have been fortunate enough to get to experience some great beers all over the country and world. Unfortunately, this place does not appear on that list. Well, lets start with the redeeming qualities. The food has been pretty decent for the price point. I don't think it's great but, it hasn't left me turned off. All things considered, I think one would be pretty contented with the food. I have had the burgers which were pretty good and a chicken sandwich that I really did enjoy. The problem with this place, which I might add that calls itself a brewery, is that the beer is hardly passable. I tried a sampler to get a feel for all their beers and I was severely disappointed. The only beer that I considered drinkable was their red. I love wheat beers but their wheat smelled like hot dogs to me. Seriously, hot dogs. I couldn't even get through it. I was even more disappointed when I found out they aren't even brewing on site, so the brewery label is a misnomer. Fibbers I say. They actually brew in a central location in Phoenix and truck it out to their locations. I wouldn't necessarily mind that but I hate being lied to. All in all they rate a 2 because the food was good but the beer was abismal. IF you like the beer here then good for you but I, for the life of me, can't see how anyone could. I came here after visiting Colossal Cave Mountain Park. The service in the beginning was great, until the food came. My party of 3, we had the prime rib special and the bison burger. We told the server to split our prime rib, with extra plates for everything. When the food came they did not split ANYTHING. When we asked for plates and condiments it took a total of 15 minutes, which I had already begun sharing from the one plate. Our server was more concerned with a loud party that sat behind us. The prime rib was good, however the sides of French fries were over cooked and too crunchy for someone with permanent braces like myself to handle without breaking the titanium I have in my mouth. The Brussels sprouts that I was very excited for were charcoaled and burnt. When I ordered new fries they were still over cooked and I didn't even bother to complain again. The service was completely awful and the server barely interacted or helped with anything. The food was good, the burger is a must get! However when ordering our pizookie, the server noticed me writing this review, and the manager covered part of our meal, apologized for the poor service and food, and rewarded us with a $20 gift card. Completely turned our experience around. I found it a little sad that the only reason we stared to get better service was once they realized I was writing a review, but I was very happy with the turn around. read more

Get the bacon guacamole burger! I come here all the time. I love this place. The only complaint I have is that it takes 45+ minutes to get your food and when I order take out it's ready in 10-15. Also, sometimes the hostess doesn't want to give me a booth when it's usually just me and my mom but if I ask nicely they will usually let me have one. read more

BJ's is a bit upper-priced, but the portions are plentiful. My friend got jambalaya, and I got the Santa Fe Chicken Salad without tortilla strips.
