The seating in this restaurant is close to claustrophobic. The tables are quite close together. Dad had a hard time getting to our seats, and had to ask a couple of people to move their chairs. The server was kind and attentive. She tried to make sure we were well taken care of. She made sure our drinks were never empty, and our food arrived hot. The food was passable. The menu is different in each Jerry Bob's restaurant (a thing I was only now made aware of). We went there looking for things we'd eaten in another Jerry Bob's restaurant and they were not on the menu here. The worst part, in my opinion, was the fact that my Dad had NO ACCESS to the restrooms at all! the way the seating was set up, his walker could not get to the hallway to access the bathrooms. This Is A Bad Thing and should be rectified. The wait staff was the only positive thing on this trip. The breakfast was very good, I had a SMS omelet with hashbrowns, a side of bacon and raisin toast. Amanda provides excellent service. She knows us by name, has memorized our order by our second visit, and treats us as family. It is because of her that we go back weekly now. Let me start by saying we came here immediately after walking out of Denny's due to their extreme lack of care for the customer. After arriving here, we were promptly seated. The restaurant was almost full to capacity. Our delightful waitress, I wish I remembered her name as she needs an appropriate kudos, got our drinks and took our order. Within 15 minutes maybe less our food was on the table EXACTLY AS ORDERED. Deliciously and well prepared Denver omelettes, perfect cooked hash browns, toasted perfectly English muffins, delicious corn beef hash. We were seated pretty quickly on a Sunday morning! The server was sweet and quick! She made suggestions and answered all the questions we had. I definitely have a sweet spot for Jerry Bob's it's just like your good ole family diner and I had the most pleasant experience, families and couples were also seemingly enjoying the atmosphere. I would like to give four stars but our experience last month was just ok. First, the home fries were over cooked. It was like mash potatoes. I usually enjoy their tuna melt, but ordered the wrong bread, my fault. The big part was that service was deplorable. The waitresses are normally very attentive. I don't know what happen to my girl, but I asked a difference waitress for more coffee and she appeared angry. Also, when we got wrung up, the girl must have been having an awfully bad day. No "Thank You" or "have a good day" anything. The bill was taken out of my checking on December 2, 2024. read more

When it comes to breakfast staples, Jerry Bob's is our "go to". In addition to the typical bacon/sausage/ham, eggs, & potatoes we love their Mexican breakfast selections which often call for a to go box due to the large portion. The Waitresses are just rude. Excuse me servers are just rude. You start to say something to them and they walk away. The servings are smaller and the prices are greater. They will not clean the bathroom door or the light switch. They access door to the kitchen from the restroom area is black. What does the floor of the kitchen look like. We had such a pleasant time dinning in. It was our first time and the service was pure perfection! Our server's name was Jami and she was very attentive to our table ensuring we had everything and liked everything we ordered. My kids loved seeing the wall full of drawings on the way to the bathroom. My 4 year old daughter even asked them to please put hers up. Every time im in this area and stay at hotel down the street, I come to have breakfast at this location. I always tend to get the vegi scramble which comes in a small skillet with potatoes and vegis with any style egg on top. I also get the side of biscuits and gravy, so so delicious. My daughter ate the eggs Benedict, which she said was very good. This isn't really anything new, because we go here fairly regularly, and the following account is much like it alays is. I DO NOT know what is up with this place. Overall the food is "ok". Breakfasts are all we do on a Sunday family rotations and I have one uncle that likes their Green Chili omelette, and I think that's the catch. ANYTHING with meat on it, or better yet, in it, there's barely any. On my earlier review, this place sliced a sausage link in half long-ways and told me it was two sausage links. After a HUGE protest on my part, I FINALLY got a second sausage link, but not before the waiter made three trips to the back after my demanding either the cook or the manager come out and explain to me WHY this BS was their policy. Today with an "ultimate skillet" there's little, bitty, tiny, crappy cubes of ham, no sausage that I could see, and barely a taste of bacon. Ultimate? What a joke. Jerry Bob's has several franchise owners in town and this guy must be the tightest-wad ass in the restaurant business because this place is a bad joke and at only two stars average, there's your proof. The place was also practically empty today, so that must also mean something. I went from two stars to one only because the waiter ignored my complaint about the lack of meat once, and the second time exhibited a pissed off demeanor, but never said a word, and never offered an action. For that bucko, we go from two stars to one. I personally put up with this place, I don't ever really enjoy it. WAY TOO MANY great Mom and Pop breakfast places that pack MEAT INTO THEIR BREAKFAST offerings that are amazing to ever, EVER put up with this Jerry Bob's. I will definitely be coming back to this location specifically because of their server Sierra. She went above and beyond to take care of our needs and we can be a difficult bunch. Went here for lunch yesterday. We haven't been there in years. I had a roasted turkey sandwich on sourdough bread with a side of coleslaw. It was good. My husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger with a cup of chicken noodle soup. I had a couple of bites of his hamburger. It was delicious. Very juicey. Bacon was crispy. Like not driving to find decent food, especially breakfast which is fast and good they have plenty of sitting, but gets real busy on Sunday mornings, but we've never waited long.Coffee good and lots of refills They have lunch menu also. Plenty of waitresses to go around . Early bird special for 2.99 2eggs (any style) hash browns and coffee. 6 am to 7am only! Tried this place during my lunch break after finishing my workout on a Thursday. The diner had a cozy, hidden feeling to it in the shopping plaza its attached to. Service was quick and friendly and the food came out in a timely manner. I ordered the chicken fried steak skillet; it was delicious especially the fried steak which had a generous portion. The gravy also tasted good, the potatoes/hash browns it came with we're kind of bland... nothing special but they weren't bad by any stretch. Wow! First off, portions are huge! The food is delish and can you say legit biscuits and gravy!!! We are @ the women's center awaiting birth of our babygirl & these folks are so heart warming and caring about how my wife is doing that they never even met- well we will be back with the whole fam & our newest addition! This place will be part of my daily routine while I'm in town. If you are visiting Tucson and staying at Candlewood Suites you get a nice discount on your food order. This Jerry Bob's has Speedy service from Lynn S., ample portions (I'm talking about the food here), roomy and airy for a strip mall location. A little more signage would help you find the location. What has happened to this Jerry Bob's? The food is not as good as it used to be. They have changed some key ingredients. The portions are smaller. There is an atmosphere that is hard to explain, the wait staff used to be happy. There must be a new manager or something. We are done coming here. This used to be one of our favorite places. Some of the food was for sure made hours before we arrived. The meat in the B & G was not fresh at all. Putting extra gravy on them did not hide that for sure. Seemed the waffle was cooked at least an hour before we arrived, as well as the bacon. We asked to not have tomatoes on the skillet and got them.
