We snuck in here as non members. It looked like they had some good deals. I confused the employees when I asked them if they had non-member prices. They told me I couldn't buy anything as a non-member. They looked like they had everything that Costco or Sams sells. Sneaking in their store and perusing was a good way to pass the time. Bjs fudge up I placed order #266425583 through BJ'S app for delivery to my Dennis home as I have no car as mine is in the garage. I received a text from the delivery driver asking for my address, which I gave I then received a reply text saying my order was left at 1554 Main St--no town given. The delivery driver stopped replying to my texts. I contacted BJ'S Hyannis--nothing done. Nobody seemed to know what to do and did not want to find out what could be done. Long and short of it is BJ's Hyannis gave NO satisfaction. people said they would call me back--no return calls I have treated each person I have spoken with in a respectful manner as I know mistakes happen. BJ'S gave the order to DoorDash? DoorDash would not deal with me as I am not the entity that hired them. All I want is my credit for $71.48-seems simpleNOT A woman in BJ's Hyannis (no name given) said she was the front desk manager. I found this to be a challenging BJ's to get through. The layout is different, the organization is awkward, and they were out of several of their own line of products. There were not enough people staffing the regular checkouts, so there were two lines extending back into shopping areas. Of course, when you're the only warehouse-type of shopping institution on all of Cape Cod, you're going to get the customers anyway, regardless of whether they're satisfied or not. read more

We bought a Danby refrigerator on BLACK FRIDAY for $299 and find that a little over 2 weeks later the price is now $199! BJ's gave us the runaround on doing a price match and say the only way to get that price is to return the fridge and buy a new one at the lower price. How ridiculous! We didn't get a BJ instead we got screwed! read more

The worst part about shopping at BJ's is dealing with the security check when leaving the store. Perhaps people standing around at the service counter could pitch in when needed? There has to be a better way! read more

I am NOT a GRATUITOUS person when it comes to reviews. I try hard to identify the good & needs improvement areas for all businesses. That's what reviews are for. I have been coming to this store regularly for 10+ years and the majority of the staff go ABOVE & BEYOND for the customers. They are EXCELLENT. Additionally, the food is solidly very good quality including frozen foods, bakery, deli, produce & dry goods. I have NEVER had ANY problem with ANY staff member treating me poorly. They are always EXCEEDINGLY kind, friendly, pleasant, courteous, helpful & professional. I am EMPHATICALLY give this establishment 5 STARS. Dead rats under the coolers in deli and on another visit in cheese section. Coupon system provide no confirmation of discount and non of the items are marked that there is a coupon. The phone app search typically does not find an item coupon. User interface requires you to select each of over 200 coupons instead of all at once. Check out system is a joke. The door guard handled each of my items with no gloves and sent me back because there was an item short. He counted wrong 3 times. We returned everything due to the disrespect (Jeff) at the door and that process made us wait 30 minutes while each item was returned instead of scanning the total and refunding us. A call for the manager Sue was fruit less after 30 mins. This is the Hyannis store. We will never return to BJs.. read more

My main concern is about Customer Service. The Lady named Barbara ignore the expression customer satisfaction. She always causes me problems when I need some help from the Custumer service. Another day I decided to go to BJ only after my work and I didn't have the discount book. I went to customer service to ask for a new one. She first asked me why I wanted one. Why would I ask for a discount book?!?!? The answer was so obvious that I refused to answer. She refused to give me the discount book. She said my copy had already been mailed. And that if I wanted to go shopping, it would have to be without discount. Can anyone imagine a response like this coming from the customer service? She definitely needs better training and management needs to better select who stays in the custumer service. read more

If you are a regular BJ's shopper you are going to hate this store. It is tiny and every department offers a very limited, poor selection. There is no liquor or tire section at all, and the BJ's gas station is miles away. My biggest complaints are that the food selection is inconsistent and higher priced than other BJ's Clubs off-cape. The deli department is slow, no matter how busy they are, and online ordering rarely saves any time. Other BJ's have dozens of self checkouts. This one only has a few, but I have never seen more than three cashiers working. Were they to eliminate the more or less unneeded baby section, and the ugly, overpriced clothing, they could easily accomodate a liquor dept and tire installation area. read more

My first Experience with optical Dept in Hyannis. For three pair of glasses ( progressive transitions they quoted me $1400 that was the sale price . I asked what so much ? The gal said she was offering me The most expensive Zeiss lens & some other not need add ons. My final price came down to $750. A far cry from $1400 Be careful of the prices at this club. When I called two weeks later-to check on my order they could not find it. My name was misspelled & the wrong phone number recorded on my order. read more

Love this grocery store. Many, many options, always new things to get! Also really love the free sample stations- great for younger kids who get bored in grocery stores. I am irritated by the fact that they removed the snack bar. I came in one day, ready to purchase a hot, delicious churro, and they had replaced the area with wine fridges and executive chairs! Absolutely horrifying. In addition, three items that my family purchases regularly have been discontinued in the past year. I understand the need to refresh the stock, but it has been a shaking experience to lose these products that we were so dedicated to. Overall, a lovely place to get things! Everybody loves BJ's. It's like Costco, but it has more emphasis on food. This is the place to stock up. One can easily (and affordably) purchase in bulk. They have friendly service. While they don't have as many free food samples as Costco, they have plenty to feed the family. They have a huge lobster tank, giving the place a New England feel. They don't have much produce, but they have tons of bread&packaged foods. Great place to get prepared for a chilly New England winter. read more

I shop here a few times a year and plunk down 90-200 each time. I have the card mostly to get gas (off Cape) as the prices are the lowest. They also have a huge pack of Campari tomatoes cheap. I live alone so buying bulk doesn't make sense aside from a few items. read more

I enjoy visiting BJs Wholessle but their coupon policy leaves something to be watched very closely. Other wholesale businesses like Costco and San's Club automatically include coupon discounts into their members' purchases. BJs does not! You must enter your coupon items desired through an app. If you miss it, you pay full price! You can also purchase coupon multiples in the same order at Costco and Sam's Club unless they specifically set a limit. BJs does not! BJs requires you to do a separate transaction for coupon multiples. Finally they deviously install a deliberately small number requiring you to purchase two or more of an item to get the discount. If you miss this and buy one, you are paying full price. It is apparent that BJ's adds these little annoyances to not help the customer's shopping experience but to take advantage of members' busy lives during their shopping experience. read more

Decent warehouse. It's not as big as the Hudson location but it suits all of my needs. I however feel as if they need to open more lines during peak times. I bought my father 2 lobsters for father's day, and it feels like I waited forever in line. It's very clean and I will continue to keep my membership. read more

I saw the biggest lobster of my life here. Must have been 10 pounds. Great stop on your way to Nantucket if you want to buy some food to put in a cooler (its much cheaper than buying on Island). Organized, nice people at the front who check your cart when you leave. read more

I visited today Tom stock up on household items. When I got to the cashier my card was expired. They graciously helped me renew it. Since it was expired for greater than 6 months I was required to go to the service desk. Rather than make me wait the Manager gave me a one time pass. After ringing up my items the cashier asked Me if I had coupons.....of Course in left them at home. She then proceeded to rip coupons for me out of her book. When I went to the service desk to get my card renewed the girl was having issues renewing my card. She had to call the manager over, the same Manager who helped me earlier. They were all so patient and never once made me feel like an annoyance. Thanks to everyone at BJs Hyannis for a great customer services experience. read more

Good store with good prices. Selection is not as great as some other locations but its the only option on the Cape. Membership Rewards card is the way to go if you're a frequent shopper as the rewards will cover the membership cost and then some. read more

OK for bulk items. Terrible experience with optical dept. Very pushy. They didn't care what they sold you, didn't care if it was right for you. They just wanted to sell eyeglasses. They were rude and unpleasant. I would NEVER buy eyeglasses there. Need to stock up on Damp Rid. After all this is Cape Cod. Went in to get a few items of which one was Stew Beef. When removing pre-cut cubes the layer on the bottom was thin strips of fatty pieces with little beef. Discounts are not as good as they once were. Supermarkets have better value when you shop the sales. BJ's sends coupons but thy often arrive in the mail when they are almost expired. Don't be tricked by the coupon books either. Half the coupons are only good for a few days not the whole month that is indicated on the front. Recently after spending $155 there, I complained to customer service as I tried to use a coupon that had just arrived in the mail and once again was told it had expired. The attitude when I explained I had just gotten it in the mail was "too bad". After we asked for a manager another person came to the desk- not the manager- and he grudgingly gave me a refund. It's just not worth the club fees or the effort anymore. I'll be shopping elsewhere. read more

Bad customer service. We waited in the membership line for 30 minutes to become members. Only one person at the four-five registers. And of course we were told the card machine was down. The only reason we went into the store (and didn't go through the process online) was to get cards...But, we let that go when the membership person told us to hold on to our temporary card (and use it every time we came back) until we got our official cards. Then, the cashier at check out (after we shopped) threw away our temporary card and told us it only works once. She would not listen to any argument otherwise, and sort of reacted like we were problem customers causing a scene when all we were doing was repeating what was said to us earlier at membership. The cashier was rude, mean, and not responsive/listening. She said we could go back to membership if we had a problem -but the line there was even bigger than when we started....and still only had one person working. The card machine being down, and the store being understaffed on the weekend is one thing. But, then the terrible cashier and poor customer service was quite another.
