My go-to wholesale store in Triangle! The reason being: This is the closest one to my house and has the cheapest gas around me. Brier Creek shopping center is so convenient - It's close to hwy 540 and has lots to offer. One of them being BJ's Wholesale Club. Unlike Costco or Sam's Club, this place is NEVER too busy and I don't feel like I have to fight people to navigate inside to get there I need to go. I love the produce options here compared to other wholesale places; they have variety and fresh produce that I enjoy. BJ's have less variety in typical wholesales products compared to Costco and Sam's Club. However, they make it up for spacious and uncrowded store and cheap gas in my opinion. If you have a cashback membership, you get $0.05 off per gallon at the gas station, so I always get gas fro BJ's if possible. I'm going to a customer for a loooong time. See you soon! read more

Deli - No one there. Meat dept said not sure where they are maybe 15-minute break. Waited 15 minutes then someone said they are at lunch, this wait started at 10:30 now 10:45. No signage that tells customers they are gone for a period of time and when they will be back. I went to customer service and asked. The said she is heading back now. It's 11:00 now so I head back only to wait another 10 minutes for her to come out. I did not realize that one of the girls at the desk was the deli rep. She coped a huge attitude with me and AGAIN started out with 1 size cut and push down on the slicer and end up with twice the thickness. I've been a BJ's member for the past 4 years. I don't frequent the store enough, mainly for paper products, household, cosmetic needs. Unless I have a large amount of digital coupons, I stay away. Wholesale is convenient for large families, large parties and for those who resell the items purchased. I find the prices very high for groceries and the quality of the produce terrible. BJ's also sells a lot of both toxic and highly processed food. On to the positive, parking is easy, stock is plentiful, staff is kind and self checkout saves me time. read more

I moved to Raleigh earlier in the year so I was looking forward to going to BJs as I loved the store where I lived and was looking forward to shopping here. I would buy the organic mini baguette at my other store and was very disappointed to find out that they sell out quickly and the bread department doesn't have the sense to increase the order. I went to this store 3 times to get them only to find they were out, as they were with most of the bread. I find this store is managed very poorly and am going to let my membership expire when it comes due at the end of this month. There is no reason to shop here if the items I used to buy regularly are not in stock. What a shame as this store is night vs day of my other location. read more

I usually buy my gas at the Triangle Towne, Capital Blvd location with my BJs card but was in Brier Creek area today so stopped there to fill up. It was $0.20 per gallon more expensive than Triangle Towne, Capital Blvd location. I called to check!!! Won't do that again any time soon. Was also told I could download BJs app on phone, change location and check gas prices that way in the future. Will definitely be doing that. I also recommend getting a BJs Rewards card saving $0.10 per gallon every fill up when you use your BJs card. Definitely worth it to me! read more

Talk about poor customer service! When I went to do a return today, I got severe attitude from Bonnie, one of the customer service persons. This is the second time she has waited on me and it was horrible the first time as well. As a party planner, it is necessary that I buy large quantities. We planned an event for over 100 people. So when I returned some items, she continued to share with me about their policy to throw away perfectly good and unopened food. She asked me several times why I was making a return and not using it. She continued to comment about the waste. It's not my fault that BJ's has this policy in affect. Then there was also the issue with their delivery service. On the website, BJ's uses Instacart to deliver. It was such a hassle and a headache. Bonnie again had major attitude about doing the return. If BJ's doesn't know how to refund purchases with using Instacart, then you shouldn't offer it. So I was given a gift card for the balance of my return. This is very frustrating as it is our company's funds, not mine. My membership comes due at the end of January and I do not plan to renew. I've had too many issues and poor customer service. I'm fine with using Costco or another store for our monthly events. Hopefully they will appreciate our company's business, as we do 2-4 monthly events. I will be happy to give my thousands of dollars to another company. You've lost a loyal customer. No telling how many you've lost because of Bonnie and poor customer service! read more

As Wholesale clubs go, this one is in line with the others, with a host of different choices that the others don't have. The lines move pretty quickly, even on a very busy day and the staff is helpful and friendly. I do enjoy when they offer the samples, whether I need them or not, I'll always give them a try and really appreciate when my tank is running low! read more

I really love this BJs location. It's easy to get in (no one checking your membership card, just present it when it's time to checkout), which prevents a bottleneck at the front door. I love how easy it is to find what I need, and I frequently use the curbside pick-up option when I can't make it inside the store. If you're looking for antibacterial products don't believe anything posted on BJ's website or product delivery services. I continuously checked and rechecked their website at 4 am today. After months of searching everywhere, I finally found Lysol spray products and Clorox products in stock at the BJ's in Brier Creek. I Didn't go to sleep. Rather, I got dressed, got breakfast at Chick-Gil- a, drive to BJ's and waited for it to open at 8 am. At 7:55 am, a lady came out the store and told all those waiting in line: BJ's does NOT have any Lysol or Clorox antibacterial products! What-the-what? I asked the lady at customer service about the products advertised as available online. Her remark: I don't know why they do that...just call before you come. What!? Not trusting BJ's again. Their tire center sucks but from discount tire , I bought 4 new tires 1 week and that after noon the tire sensor stopped working, not their fault , called them made appointment to replace the 8 year old sensors only 1 was bad but time would tell because of age replace all told an hour at most well from 3 pm with a 3:30 appointment at 6 pm still here waiting they decided to rotate some one else's tires and finish in stall on 1 in bay . Hmmmm I wrote a review for this location and I now see that it is gone, so I'm writing another review. I've been a member of BJs since 2015 and this is my home location. This store has gone downhill significantly! There is typically only one cashier on a register and that one cashier is incredibly rude! It's always the same older woman and she shouts "you ain't gonna put nothing on that belt" meaning that she does not want shoppers to place their items on the conveyor belt. I always place my items on the belt because in the past when I haven't I have been double charged for items. Several times I have witnessed a female manager of the store yelling staff. Once I heard her speaking to a Spanish speaking employee in a degrading way. Many of the coolers leak water on the floor creating a falls risk and a potential health hazard. I am saddened that this store has fallen into the hands of horrible staff who do not care about customers. I took a survey in an effort to get in touch with someone about my concerns. A question on the survey asked when I would like to be called, I indicated that I could be reached any evening. Someone called me from the store the next MORNING. Of course I was unable to answer my phone. When I called back that evening I was not able to speak to anyone. I will never go back. read more

Grab one of the huge pre-packaged cuts of meat (like the 11 pound steak my boyfriend snatched), and bring it over to the butcher. You can get the fat trimmed off and, more importantly, get it sliced to how ever thick you want (went with 1"). In under five minutes, the butcher returned with the sliced steaks in new packaging. BEAUTIFUL steaks! It's a bit pricey ($70ish) for the meat, but it's in bulk and SUCH a steal! Shopping-wise: this visit was a breeze, but check-out was stressful. The barcode on our steaks wouldn't ring up -- causing a big delay and back-up of customers behind us, especially since my boyfriend was only buying the steaks. Luckily a store associate came over after a little while to help. My only complaint was that she started to ring up the items in my cart (which I was buying separately) without asking me. I told her after she rang up two items, and she didn't complain as she voided them - which was awesome! After buying my goods, I had to drop by the service desk to get a photo added to my membership card. Unfortunately the wait was long, and I only had one lady in front of me. There was only one store associate at the desk, and I had about four other people behind me. There should have been at least one other person at the service desk. For context, I've been a member of Costco, Sams, and BJs. We really love the location of this Bjs and that it's rarely full (pre pandemic even) or packed the way Costcos always are. In recent years BJs has increased their offerings to include more organic selections, which is a huge draw (still less than Costco though). Some of the items we always load up on are dog food, frozen burritos, meat alternatives, and the salad mix. I do find their canned options more limited than Costco. I think my review is more of BJs overall and less this location because I think my challenges are company level not location based. I think with any bulk store, the best store will cart on your location and what they offer. Given the option of costco and BJs side by side, I'd have to give our business to Costco, and hence my rating. (Full disclosure we have both memberships still bc I'd rather stock up at Costco but can do general stuff at BJs without a hassle.) One thing I get annoyed with about BJs is that you have to clip coupons and to my knowledge I cannot opt out of the mailers. Here I am 10 months into a pandemic and I'm still recycling them bc I haven't been in a store this whole time. Yet, digital coupons work so why am I getting wasteful mailers? I wish it was an opt in system. Specific to the current pandemic, while I love BJs does curbside, it's horribly inefficient! You have to check in and wait and I usually wait 10-20 minutes for my order, which is frankly too long and they need a "on my way" notification function so you don't wait so long. It took me 9 minutes to pick up my groceries curbside, my target order, and get to BJs to sit for 20 minutes. It's frustrating a waste of time. read more

It's hard to get excited about big membership wholesale places, but I like this BJs well enough. The gas there is cheaper than everywhere else around me, so I fill up there when I can. My husband and I were grocery shopping and approached check out but we only saw self check out as an option. As we were passing by a closed check out lane, a Bjs staff member opened her lane to us without hesitation and with a very friendly attitude. She even scanned our groceries inside our cart so we didn't have to put them on the belt line to be scanned. When we were finished and about to pay we had some coupons we wanted to use and one of them didn't work for the item we were purchasing. Latwanna our cashier without hesitation honored our coupon. Every time my husband and I go shopping we are never usually greeted or taken care of like that. This BJ's has been here awhile and each time I go back, I remember why I like the one over by Triangle Town Center better. The layout here is a bit crowded with seemingly less room to get between the aisles and seemingly less product selection compared to the triangle TC store. Today, as we entered the store, the TV's were all turned on so blaringly loud I couldn't hear myself think. My ears are still ringing. I'll give them Kudos for the gas prices, they are certainly competitive. We ordered groceries from BJ's because we're elderly and can't shop in pubic while the virus is epidemic. This store is alright as far as wholesale shopping. We never tried their Instacart delivery service but did so last week. The food was delivered by a nice driver and adjustments were made for what wasn't available. We were over charged and no adjustment has been made. I've spent two hours talking to the local store, writing a nice email that was returned a "undeliverable" and trying to call or even "chat" with the instacart people. BJ's explained that they are not responsible for the overcharge. I'm like, "Really? Haven't you got one person of integrity between you?" There are plenty of places to get groceries delivered. It's your standard run of the mill warehouse club. I don't think I can give more than three stars to any warehouse club. The one thing BJ's has over Sam's Club and Costco is that BJ's takes credit cards. I can't remember my pin numbers to save my life so BJ's saves my behind. This place is all about bulk packages for household staples. I don't think I've ever been able to get out of this store for under three digits. My standard quarterly trip is for toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, yogurt, pre-portioned - pre-packed boneless skinless chicken breasts, pellegrino and whatever spontatenous purchase catches my fancy. Somethings I like about this club - it's clean. Saturday's it's all about some samples - so come hungry and fill up on an assortment of items. They have an oil change/mechanic/garage on site. Refills on propane is CHEAP. They have a deli on site to get your standard lunch meats and cheeses (turkey/ham, American/Provolone) I still haven't done the math to find out if I'm getting my money back on my bulk buys to offset the membership, but it's nice to get staples in quantity in a one stop shopping experience. The one thing I do wish is that they have more staffed check out lanes and less self-check lanes. I'm so very anti self-check lanes. read more

We've been members here for 5 years now. The prices are good and we live that there are coupons sent out monthly on top of the wholesale pricing. We also get deli meats and cheeses just about every week. The price difference of just that alone over the course more than makes up for the yearly membership fee. read more

This store has move nearly everything around which makes what used to be a 20 minute shop more than a half hour. Tried to buy propane, the door was locked. We have been members for a few years and I can't say I've ever had a problem. Most of the time the customer service reps are friendly. I also had new tires out on recently and the guys were very nice. I was the only on in there so it was a quick job. The membership price is worth it if you need to buy 1 sheet cake a year. This review is directed solely towards the tire center. On Friday I landed at RDU around 1:00 PM to find I had a flat on my SUV. I replaced it with the spare and headed to BJ's Tire Center. I called to see if they were busy and the guy who answered asked me to hold on a minute. Thirteen minutes later I arrived and was still on hold. The guy was filling propane tanks. I will give him credit for the fact that he was working alone, but he could have told me not to come as opposed to leaving me on hold for the duration. When he came back to the office I asked if he could patch a tire. He responded that he had an appointment coming at any time. So this guy basically wasted my time. He had no intent on doing the job. There wasn't a soul in the office except for me and there were no vehicles in any bay, it was completely empty. He simply didn't want to do the job so he turned me away. I called Discount Tire and they told me to swing by since they were slow and as soon as I got there, they pulled me into a bay and they repaired my tire for free. They earned a new customer! I've been a longtime BJ's Customer and like their products, but the Tire Center won't be a place I shop at any time soon! read more

No, they're not as there is no signs or indication of what's on sale in any of the isles, and by the way the coupon's are for one (1) item and one (1) item only unless you have multiples of the same coupon per the supervisor we spoke to (go cut down some trees BJS!) NO discount without their tree killing anti-environmental paper coupons!!! Not exactly an environmentally friendly company that we won't be supporting. High prices and terrible customer service is on the menu here! The only saving grace is on a Saturday mid-afternoon there's hardly a mouse in this place. Absolutely horrible experience with the bakery staff. We placed a cake order a week in advance. We came to pick it up and they told us it wasn't there. They kept using anyone with us saying , " we only have 4 cakes." When they finally looked again they ended up finding it and told us that we told her the wrong cake again with a tone and no apology. They have horrible customer service skills. We have bought every birthday cake here and won't be doing it again. read more
