First time here and for a big birthday dinner for my son. Tried to hide the disappointment when we were there but I wish someone had told me a few things that I'm about to for you! We had to kill two roaches that were crawling across the bench behind my head. Half of us had one style of steak or another. All were over cooked. The potato soup was so salty that it had to be sent back. The the potato wedges were good. They gave my son a complimentary dessert for his birthday and our server was nice. But will we go back? Had dinner last night before our movie at the AMC theater. My steak and my wife's salmon were overcooked. Shrimp and onion rings overcooked. Onion rings were 90% batter and 10% onion. I think the cook was watching his phone not our dinner. Worst meal since moving to AZ. Service was mediocre. Won't be going back. read more

I have never EVER been so embarrassed at a restaurant in my life. After waiting for 15 minutes for our "server", LAURA, to address us AFTER she walked by our table of only TWO three times, she finally took our order. Another young lady came and put bread on our table, which we quickly gobbled up after not having eaten previously. We simply asked our "server", LAURA, for more bread, and FIVE MINUTES LATER, asked politely again, not having received any yet. She turned toward us, and yelled at us, "Give me a second!" Other diners turned and looked with their eyebrows raised. We should have gotten up and walked out then and there, but we were just famished. The other young lady came and put bread on the table, refilled our drinks, and pre-bussed the table for the rest of our meal. LAURA should have been FIRED ON THE SPOT. We haven't been to a Black Angus in almost 40 years. We walked in and there were two girls standing there. Neither was welcoming, helpful or friendly. In fact, I think we bothered them because they certainly acted like they were being inconvenienced. Once seated, our waitress arrived and was very friendly. We ordered the Camfire Feast Dinner for Two. The Baked Spinach and Artichoke Dip was hot but looked unappetizing and the spinach had was like frozen spinach. Overall it was kinda tasteless and not really good. The Garden salad was fresh but was your typical salad of just lettuce and some croutons. Our steaks had a nice char on the outside, nicely seasoned, juicy and tender. We ordered med rare but they were slightly over cooked. Our waitress did ask us to check our steaks which and said they were fine because they were actually cooked how I like my steak. I order Med Rare so when I heat up my leftovers they aren't overcooked. The potatoes were also very tasty but could have used some butter. Our service was friendly and very efficient. read more

I took my grandson for his birthday. The steak was ok. Our side dishes were not. The baked potato was over cooked and the veggies bland. The food took an extremely long time so sending anything back for replacement seemed tortuous and not an option. The wait staff were all very pleasant. read more

Took an elderly friend there for lunch. She got the patty melt, which looked delicious and she said it was. I made the mistake of ordering the shrimp scampi. Apparently this is a new menu item. First of all, if you are going to do scampi, do it right. It should be made with large shrimp, butterflied and sautéed in garlic butter. The shrimp I got was smallish and VERY tough. I did send it back, but the replacement was no improvement. Can't say this visit did anything to cause me to ever want to return. read more

Food was terrible! The NY strip was paper thin and so tough, felt like cutting rubber. I asked for it medium and it came out well done and lacked flavor. The mac n cheese was cold and had no flavor and just don't order the shrimp!The ambience-- it's very old and not well maintained. Carpets are filthy, booths were ripped, bathrooms were dirty. Our server was Lisa M. The experience was wonderful. Lisa had the smile and the warmth that was so very genuine. It was if my wife and I were at her house for dinner. We were immediately seated. The waitress Ciara was immediately there. She answered all my questions about the discounts available in my app. She helped us with all the questions we asked about the food. And was very attentive through the whole meal. Zucchini was amazing tonight like it used to be 50 years ago when we started going to Black Angus and having the fried zucchini as an appetizer. We were super excited to try the Fall Trip special with Lobster, Steak & Shrimp. I called ahead and my reservation was easy to make. When we arrived, I was happy we had reservations, because the wait was at least 20 minutes without reservation. Tje food was absolutely delicious. It's been a long time since I've had Lobster , and it was such a treat. Service was pretty good- I realize that restaurants have a hard time these days. Prior to leaving, we noticed the live music setting up- which we will time better for next time. The live music is on Friday from 7p-10p. All in all, we had a wonderful time, and can't wait to return. read more
