To start, this was my wife's choice for her birthday dinner. Having said that, let's get to it. My wife was pleased with her filet mignon and two lobster tails. I have to say she only drinks Coca Cola and we had to bring our own! On to the kids (24yo). My daughter got the salmon with Mac and cheese for her side. Loved the Mac and cheese enough to get a to go order of it! The salmon was undercooked as this becomes a theme for the meal. When she asked for melted butter, it came at the end of her meal! Waitress was a bit snooty and had a trainee following her. The trainee, Alexa was very nice. My daughters boyfriend had prime rib ordered medium, it came dripping blood in the middle! Now as for my meal. 21 day dry aged 16oz ribeye, baked potato and broccoli. Broccoli was cold enough to not melt butter, potato was tiny and the steak was probably the worst piece of meat I will feed to my dogs. The steak was cold, chewy, undercooked and lots of gristle. When the waitress brought our desserts she asked if we wanted her to sing happy birthday and we declined then. She started screeching out the song anyway right in my ear!! One of the things I like at Black Angus is the booths. They are taller and it blocks a lot of the sound which lets you hold conversations without yelling. The restaurant has lights that are dimmed a bit. It looks nice inside and fells homely. They have a moderately priced menu with steaks being the high priced items and there primary dishes but everything we tried was great! I got the chicken tenders with chipotle-buffalo sauce and blue cheese and it was amazing. I really liked it. Our server seemed new and continued to forget many of our requests when we were missing silverware, needing refills or sauces. But he was really nice, considerate and a lot of fun. This is a busy area and parking can fill up in the evening on weekends. You might need to park a ways from the restaurant. Black Angus is a good restaurant. I don't usually post a review but I felt the need to give credit here. My wife had ordered a mobile order but when I arrived it wasn't ready yet. The lady at the front was kind in letting me know and offered for me to wait at the bar until the order was ready. I did. A kind gentleman in a flannel shirt asked what I would like to drink. There were a few people at the bar but he served my drink instantly. I enjoyed my drink in silence after a very difficult day. My food order was ready within 10 minutes. He gave me my bagged order and said everything was settled and wished me a good night. I told him I appreciated it but I needed to pay for my drink first before I left. He refused and said no I was all settled. I told him again it's okay I will pay for my drink. He insisted I was all settled up and hoped I enjoyed my drink. I reached out to shake his hand and said thank you. He wished me a good evening. I learned his name is Shawn and is the general manager. Saturday night we wanted a good steak so three of us went to Black Angus on Bell (Arrowhead). They were extremely busy and the wait was long but so worth it. After we sat down I realized one of my hearing aids was gone (OMG). We checked around the table and my husband checked the car but nothing. After a great dinner and great service I stopped at the hostess desk to leave my name/number in case it showed up and they said "We found it!" I can't tell you how ecstatic I was. I'm only sorry I didn't have much cash to tip them because they saved me a bunch. The hostess declined the tip but I insisted and I'm also posting all over to let my neighbors know to what extent they will go to help their customers. While visiting Phoenix AZ durig the Christmas and New Year holidays and spending time with our daughter and other family members we dined at Black Angus Steakhouse. We ordered our drinks and ordered our salads to start dinner. I ordered a 8 oz. prime rib with 2 lobster tails, my wife ordered potatoe soup, our daughter ordered the 6 oz. steak, au gratin potatoes and broccoli. Well, its nice for every one to be absolutely satisfied with their meals. My prime rib was very good and the lobster was very tasty and my weakness. My wife said, that her potato soup was one of the best she has had and our duaghters meal was very good. We skipped the dessert because we had no room for it. Our server was great even under the circumstances. There had been a server in a nother part of the restaurant that may heave infected other servers and kitchen people with Covid-19, so they were 7 people no reporting to work. Our server came by our table at least 5 times to ask how everything was even with her busy day. I left a 25% tip for her outstanding performance. I want to compliment the manager, Shawn, for a small act of kindness that had a great impact on someone's life. My wife is under hospice care with a very rare digestive tract disease. She has constant nausea and vomiting, and is hardly able to eat. She told me that she had just a few things she would like to taste again, one last time, and one of those was a burnt, crusty, salty, tasty prime rib end that would be too well done for most people to want. She couldn't eat a full meal, but just wanted to taste a few bites. We have eaten at Black Angus many times over the years, and it was always a special meal for us, and she craved the taste of a well-done prime rib. I called Black Angus and explained this to the manager, Shawn, and he said he was sorry to hear about my wife's condition and he would put something together for her, and to just ask for him when I came to pick it up. When I arrived Shawn was not available, but the hostess handed me a bag and said it was with Shawn's compliments. I asked her to give my thanks to Shawn, and returned home. When we opened the bag there was a full, thick slice of prime rib, very well done, to my wife's perfection. She and I were both shocked that so much would be given when so little was asked for. Shawn's kindness and generosity cannot be matched. My wife got to taste her prime rib, and I ate what she could not finish. My wife was delighted by the food, and we were both impressed and humbled by Shawn's generosity. We are both very grateful to Shawn for his understanding, willingness to accommodate our request, and for generously giving more than was asked. Thank you, Shawn! read more

I received another email from Black Angus today and I just wanted to share with all my friends and family this does not apply to any of the Black Angus restaurants except the one at arrowhead. It's very misleading and a matter of fact it's the only restaurant in all of Arizona that has the lunch menu. And since their corporate is in California, they like to mislead people so they feel it'll get you in to any of their restaurant locations and then you find out that you can't get the lunch menu because they don't have it. Celebrated my birthday here February 11,2022 Friday dinner was disappointing. Food weren't good,steaks weren't cook the way my family members wanted and the lobster tail were rubbery.Their AC wasn't even working that day,the host said it was down all day like it's not working, yeah temperature is nice and cool outside but if you are inside you could feel that they don't have that air conditioning because of a lot of people in there it was warm and uncomfortable feeling. read more

Went in for dinner tonight! I'm at the miserable point of too full because it was too good and I pigged out! We were seated quickly in a nice booth. The booths are comfy and high so makes it a nice private intimate date night since you can't hear the people around you. Deanna was our server and she was very nice and stayed on top of our refills even though we were drinking water like it was going out of style. We received a coupon in the mail so went in for the campfire feast for 2 that is an appetizer to share, 2 entrees, 4 sides, and dessert. We got the steakhouse nachos for appetizer that is incredible! Easily best nachos I have ever had with tons of toppings and meat. For the entrees we got tri tip and prime rib. Both were very good but I wish the au jus was better for my prime rib. That is typically the best part but it kinda tasted like a bland broth. But other than that everything was great. We were too full so we took a cheesecake home for dessert. We were in Peoria today so stopped for dinner at The Black Angus and was pleasantly surprised with the efficiency of the management and staff. The ribeye steak was done to perfection, the Chicken Cobb Salad was cold crisp and delicious. The wait person, Shannon, was attentive, had a great personality, and very efficient. We had a great time. For the most part they were following CDC guidelines, although they could have done a better job keeping their masks over their noses. My sister is visiting from MD and from airport said she wanted lamb chops. Ended up here...big mistake. Started out being a good experience with our waiter, then served drink orders without straws. When requested, they were open and wrapped in one paper towel and looked used. One had what looked like fruit and the other was sticky all over. I received a coupon at home for the Campfire Feast for two which includes Sweet Molasses Bread,1 Steakhouse Starter, 2 Entrées, 4 Classic Sidekicks, and 1 Decadent Dessert. Soooo, we made our way there and it was busy. We headed to the bar to get drinks (vino for me, and beer for the Mr.) and about 15 or 20 min later, we were seated. Perfect way to start our evening. I have not been to a Black Angus in over 10 years so this deal was great to get me in the door. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and felt she genuinely care about us and our interests. :) If I remember correctly you pay a dollar or more for a better cut of meat i.e Filet Mignon. Anyway, we ordered the Filet, Fire Jumbo Shrimp, Au Gratin Potato, Home style mashed potatoes, and garden salads each. The garden salad was pretty big for a side, I thought I was going to get this tiny thing in a bowl but it was seemed like a full salad. Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. We were stuffed but wait...we still have dessert! We ordered the seasonal cobbler and it was good, just enough for our stuffed belly! Based on service, food, drinks, price and comfort level I'd give this place 5 stars, however, they have carpeted floors which I am not a fan of. So for that 4 stars is adequate. If they replaced their outdated decor and removed the carpeting this would be 5 start all the way. I am definitely returning and I recommend you give them a try. Online would NOT let me. I placed my order anyway then called in case it was a glitch in system. The manager Sean stated they have no inhouse delivery drivers, it was all done by doordash etc. Either I was out of the delivery area or they are short of drivers (a busy Saturday evening). I was quite bummed. Then he offered to get my meals to me anyway. Wow, I am blown away. Most companies/people now stays could care less. But he personally wanted to make sure I had a good company experience! All I can say is Black Angus executives TAKE NOTE! Well, first, they were out of prime rib ok no problem it happens but then we wait 30 minutes we receive are drinks mezcal mule was served in a glass not a copper mug like usual anyways they come out 30 +minutes later and tell us no lamb chops after a full order has already been in over 30 minutes so we decided to order the steak sandwich instead to replace lamb chops bread on the sandwich was stale seriously thats pure carelessness. So I ordered the ribeye and Wood fire, shrimp, shrimp or cold ribeye with medium rare, perfectly cooked color, but chewy as if they grill marked it and threw it in the microwave no marble at all or yummy flavors like the menu says . My daughter ordered a fillet which we can't complain. She ordered it well done overall it sucked. It was beautiful to be with my family. We had a lovely server give her 100 out of 100 the quality of the food. It's like Applebee's. Honestly I've been going to Black Angus since a kid worst Black Angus ever been to. Went on Easter Sunday great service. We had the lamb chops and as a former lamb producer we weren't thrilled with their choice of glaze. If you have a good piece of meat you don't need any type of glaze on it. That just hides the natural flavor. Other than that we were pleased. read more
