I loved the atmosphere, Black Bear Theme, Staff, and yummy blackened salmon on a bed of steamed spinach baby tomatoes with mashed potatoes and gravy!

Great food on this trip. We had a hankering for classic diner comfort food and Black Bear delivered. I went with pot roast with white cheddar mac and my wife went for chicken fried steak and eggs. We were impressed. The restaurant was quiet as our visit was in between holidays. Our server was pleasant, fast and accurate. We thoroughly enjoyed this outing to the Black Bear Diner.

I had high hopes for my first Black Bear Diner experience. We were greeted right away and taken to our booth. The server was nice and she was efficient but the breakfast I had was mediocre. The potatoes were my biggest disappointment. If you look at the photo you can see why. They were limp and pretty flavorless. The omelette I ordered okay. The sourdough bread for the toast was pretty good...thick. The coffee was hot and fresh. Portion sizes were adequate. Overall, though, the experience was 'meh'.

    Bear Claw with mold.

If I could leave zero stars I would have. I ordered my food through doordash. I ordered patty melt with fries and a bear claw. My fries were small pieces of fries, not actual fries. But the worst was that my bear claw had mold on it. The cherry on top was that Doordash would only refund me $3 which the moldy bear claw cost me $9.39. I am very disappointed with the resolution I received. Never order Black bear from doordash!!

    We sure do!

The directions to this place appear to be wrong. I mapped it and it took me to a empty field and said I arrived. Lol. Did this place close? Where is it?

Hi Jamie - no, we have not closed. We are located at: 1041 AZ-260 - across the street from Home Depot!

We originally thought this would be typical drive-in fare, but the quality and freshness exceeded my expectations. It's really a step above most other similar greasy diner and drive-in establishments. Burgers here are extremely customizable. To save time waiting in line, Bing's provides slips of paper by the counter to fill in for ease of ordering. Simply fill one out and pay at the register to get an order started. A lot of items seem to be made fresh to order, so the food took about 20 minutes to arrive. Deluxe Burger, Bacon Jam, Mayo, Lettuce, Onion, Tomato, Pickle ($10.25) - This is a huge burger, tall enough to make it difficult to compress enough to fit in the mouth. They use pretty high quality ingredients here and seem to hand cut the veggies. The lettuce is nice and crisp, the tomato is thick cut and fresh, the red onion is an entire slice instead of rings. The pickles are much larger than typical chips but still have that kind of neon-green sheen to them. Mayo is only spread on the top bun slice, enough to lubricate the burger, but not too much to become too messy to eat. The burger patty is excellent. It seems to be made from fresh beef and then only slightly smashed from a ball on the flat top. It's a THICK patty, served piping hot with good char and robust beefy flavor. The interior is cooked until well done with no pink, but it's not dried out at all, and there's more than enough moisture coming from the other ingredients to balance it out. The bacon jam that I added for $1 is a fantastic addition. It's sweet from sugars and caramelized onion and full of bacon umami. The burger as a whole isn't very greasy at all. (5/5) Large Hand Cut Fries ($6) - The fries are relatively thin, shoestring-like, fried to a darker golden brown giving a good caramelized potato flavor. The interiors remain mostly fluffy, although some of the smaller fries approach being dry. The exteriors are mostly crisp, but much softer than, say, battered fries. The fries are appropriately salted and peppered, meaning that they are nice to eat without any accompanying ketchup or other dip. They are on the more oily side compared to some other places. (4/5) Bing's serves food with really fresh flavors. It's simple fare, but very high quality. I'd definitely return for more if I'm ever back in town. Bathrooms - One unisex room outside the restaurant on the North side. Note: Bing's charges a 3% credit card fee. This is labeled on the menu (actually the menu states 3.9% fee)

"The owner is the biggest problem with this restaurant."…read more I honestly don't understand how a restaurant can have such great servers and still leave such a bad impression. The staff were friendly, professional, and clearly trying their best, but it was painfully obvious that they were dealing with way too much pressure from management. Trina, the owner, was exceptionally rude. Not just having a bad day the kind of attitude that makes you wonder why someone who interacts with customers would want to run a restaurant in the first place. The way she interacted with people and delegated responsibilities made the entire environment feel unnecessarily stressful. And unfortunately, the food isn't good enough to make up for any of that. The food was disappointing, and definitely not worth what was paid for it. There are far too many restaurants where you can get a better meal without dealing with an owner who makes the experience unpleasant. The servers deserve a lot of credit because they were easily the best part of the experience. You could tell they were working hard and trying to keep things together despite the management issues around them. When the employees are the ones saving the experience while the owner is making it worse, that's a pretty serious management problem. I wouldn't recommend this place, and I definitely won't be returning.

Disclaimer: few 5 stars...always room for improvement…read more.. So I've lived in VV coming on 4 years and have read numerous reviews on all the restaurants at in the area. I knew this to be a breakfast place, of which there are many, but someone mentioned on another board about where to get Greek food and Georgie's came up again. Greek/Med is few and far between and a really good place just closed in PV. That said, I went in today. Specifically for the Greek menu. Gotta say. It was really good and will satisfy your gyro need. I ordered the spanakopita and a beef gyro. I expected phyllo triangles but was met with a mountainous portion baked amazingly. My first thought was please don't be cold...it wasn't. It was nicely warmed and so full of feta and spinach it was ridiculous. While the phyllo topping came off, it was rich and buttery and flaky and messy. This was enough for 2-4 people. Presentation was blah but taste is what mattered. The beef gyro came in a nice hearty pita that stayed together. The meat portion was generous. There was a bit more lettuce than I'd prefer but it was fresh. I'd opt for additional red onion next time and the cucumber sauce was creamy and just really good. No overpowering flavors. I wish they had tabouli and hummus and I'd eat there daily, lol! Service was lovely, clearly so many regulars. Servers are wonderful and friendly. Decor needs updating but you're not going for ambiance, you're going for good, down home food. I will be back!

But the salad portion of the menu also said one could "add chicken or smoked turkey" ($4) or "add beef brisket" ($5) and I did. Did you just tell me I could get a perfect, tasty, ample salad with a separate, robust and delicious side of BBQ beef brisket for $13.50? I wasn't just ready to fly to Arizona; I was ready to move to Cottonwood. This meal was delicious. A "small platter of smoked brisket" ($14.50) was enjoyed equally by another at my table but, with my bowlful of brisket, I paid little attention to that other meal. My attention instead was aimed at a nearby table's indulgence in the smoked Mac-n-cheese ($4.75) and Cheesy Jalapeño Corn Bread ($4). Jealous I was, for I had no room for anything more. What a winner. COLT Grill might be half the reason I return to this area in the future.

Our second day was not as good of an experience as we had a younger server who was not at the level of Todd. We laid our vouchers on the side of the table, just as we had done the day before, and this he completely missed them and brought our bill with full charges.
