I wanted to like this place because Prescott has so few restaurants, but the salads we all ordered were limp and soggy in some places. My MIL was literally taking chunks of old sour lettuce out of her mouth mid bite because it was so bad. We also ordered the fish fry, and the fish was overdone. But the hush puppies were great! The service was a little slow, we had to ask for silverware (because we had no napkins till halfway through the meal), but the server was kind. Stopped in as we have never been, now I know why. My cheeseburger was so overcooked it was like a charred hockey puck. The fries were like they were dehydrated they were so overcooked. One poor gal doing everything so didn't want to send it back. The pepper steak sandwich, or whatever they call it, was awful, smelled like rancid meat. Second week in a row I have taken new people to this restaurant! The manager short female bar tender is absolutely horrible. She totally ignored my new friend at the bar, when we were meeting for the first time. We waited over 15 minutes to even order a drink, we ended up moving to a booth in the bar and had to wait even longer. We asked a passerby server if we could get a server and was finally waited on by a nice gentleman. Then today I took another person who had never been there and again we sat in a booth in the bar. Again we had to request someone to find a server for us. Then we were approached by the female bartender who refused us service and said to me that I flipped off someone in the bar. I have no idea what she was talking about and neither did my guest. We both were offended and humiliated by this person and I asked to speak to a manager only to find out she was the manager. I have NEVER been treated so horribly by a bartender in my life and I still have no idea what in the world she was talking about! Some other patrons sitting at the bar turned around and told us to leave and we are still bewildered by all these events. Who in the world are these people? I have been out of town for 6 mos and just got home and have gone two weeks in a row only to have been treated horribly by this woman on both occasions. I was so embarrassed for my guests to have been treated so badly and so humiliated. This woman should be FIRED! No unsuspecting patron should ever be treated in such a horrible manner. So my hubby has been wanting to try Gabby's Rustic for a while and I have not based on reviews and what has been said on Next Door. My mistake. Both our food and our service were great! I had the French onion soup and the apple, feta, walnut salad. Both were great and way too much food so I brought 3/4 of my salad home. The green were fresh, there was plenty of feta and candied walnuts. I am vegetarian so I get bored with most salads. This one was good. My husband had the Cuban sandwich and said it was really good. He was going to order his usual cheeseburger but said he was glad he tried this. Not saying five stars because it was a little too quiet in the bar area and it was not a great atmosphere. Given it's close to home, we frequent Gabby's. The salads are amazing and they've been running a hamburger special that's a great deal.

Don't order rib eyes or New York sirloin. I ordered medium rare rib eye and it was raw in the middle, when I could actually cut it to see! All 3 steaks were so tough it was hard to cut and they all looked like they'd been cut from one steak into 2. The dogs enjoyed the leftovers. That said, the service was excellent! Server asked how everything was and I told her steak was rare and she offered to take it back but I said no it wasn't worth it. We will go back because other meals we've had there have been great, just thought others should know not to order the steaks! read more

I have been avoiding this place due to so many negative reviews. Don't! My friend and I went for lunch yesterday and loved it! Food, ambiance, and service were all great! I can't wait to go back! We each had a salad. Huge servings, and they have real homemade ranch! We both had to take half of our meals to go! I am a little bummed that they took out those great booths in the dining area to the right, but otherwise, the inside looks great, too. Gabby's Rustic Ripoff is more like it...overpriced, especially the drinks - we paid $12 for a long island iced tea.

Advertised closing at 8 . Got there at 7:30. Kitchen was closing so would not seat us. Typically if a restaurant closes at 8:00 they quit seating people at 8:00 not at 7:30. The reason they're slow I imagine is because of these type of practices no one goes to Gabby's after 7:30. read more

This is our first time with the new owners who turned it into gabby. We like the look inside and out. No tables outside ??the food was decent. The wife had the ribeye and it was ok. Had a good char taste to it. We tried two appetizers. The fried zucchini and cheese curds , both were pretty good but ranch was way to watery. I had the garlic parmesan Alfredo sauce with the chicken. I liked it. My kid had the French onion soup and a sandwich and both were good. Bummed we didn't like this place more because you know it's mom and pop. Our server was delightful but unfortunately the food just wasn't good. There was something mealy to some of the veggies in the side salads the carrots looked super old and dried out. My husbands burger was way over done and my mom got the fish and chips special tonight but something just wasn't right about it. I had one bite and the fish didn't sit well. My mom had one good piece and another just looked not done that it doesn't feel worth the risk ordering any more food/replacing. Some of the food was good- the service not so much. We started with the Deviled Eggs and the Fried Cheese Curds- the deviled eggs were terrible and had a film on them so we knew they weren't fresh. (We were there at 11 when they opened) The bacon jam was hard- again old. The cheese curds were good. For lunch we had : Rustics Sloppy Joe (good), Barnyard Chicken Club (good and huge), Chino Cheese Steak (not good, roll was completely soggy and inedible, cheese wasn't melted), and the Old Fashioned Rueben (good) None of us are the fries that were not fried enough and soggy/greasy. Now on to the service- not good, from start to finish. Bringing the wrong drink refills to our table, forgetting we asked for napkins, waiting 15 minutes after she brought our bill to pick up the credit cards and another 10 minutes to check us out. I liked the decorations in here, the flys are atrocious and should NOT be in a restaurant and with the amount of flys and hearing another waitress tell a table, 'yes, sorry about the flys, we're thinking of handing out fly swatters as people walk in' not good. Bathrooms are horrible- dirty, not cleaned on a Saturday morning after just opening.
