Disclaimer: few 5 stars...always room for improvement... So I've lived in VV coming on 4 years and have read numerous reviews on all the restaurants at in the area. I knew this to be a breakfast place, of which there are many, but someone mentioned on another board about where to get Greek food and Georgie's came up again. Greek/Med is few and far between and a really good place just closed in PV. That said, I went in today. Specifically for the Greek menu. Gotta say. It was really good and will satisfy your gyro need. I ordered the spanakopita and a beef gyro. I expected phyllo triangles but was met with a mountainous portion baked amazingly. My first thought was please don't be cold...it wasn't. It was nicely warmed and so full of feta and spinach it was ridiculous. While the phyllo topping came off, it was rich and buttery and flaky and messy. This was enough for 2-4 people. Presentation was blah but taste is what mattered. The beef gyro came in a nice hearty pita that stayed together. The meat portion was generous. There was a bit more lettuce than I'd prefer but it was fresh. I'd opt for additional red onion next time and the cucumber sauce was creamy and just really good. No overpowering flavors. I wish they had tabouli and hummus and I'd eat there daily, lol! Service was lovely, clearly so many regulars. Servers are wonderful and friendly. Decor needs updating but you're not going for ambiance, you're going for good, down home food. I will be back! read more

What a local gem! This is certainly a place overlooked by tourists like myself. We read reviews saying Sandy was the server to have. We were greeted by Sandy and she was quite hospitable. We were seated in her section and ordered. My friend ordered the number one of the combo meals. I ordered a breakfast burrito with bacon. The food came out hot and in large portion. The food tasted fantastic as well. The ambiance is that of an old diner. I'm not looking for fancy decor I'm looking for good food and I found just that! This place looks a step away from an abandoned building, but DO NOT JUDGE BY THE BOOKS COVER! As you walk in there is a whole wall of awards. And awarded they should be. Place reminded me of the "Greasy Spoon" places I would go with my dad growing up - the spinning order wheel, dinging the bell when food was ready, old, torn up, rubberized seats that have been there forever. Etc. Great breakfast. Great service. Fast service. Great prices. Even though I am a city slicker, I was warmly greeted by strangers in the parking lot. Amazing experience at a local spot. The customer service is top notch, the waitress and kitchen staff are so friendly and grateful. The business has a very homey vibe with lots of art. The food was amazing. The biscuits and gravy were soooo good! Hash was amazing, eggs and potatoes were good as well. The breakfast burritos are MASSIVE! This is a great little find, thanks to yelp! It has that old homegrown feeling as soon as you walk in. They have a large menu with lots of great items. My kids loved all of the choices of food they had and that you could get so many different fruits on top of pancakes or waffles. Nice diner with good food. Hubby loves that they have liver & onions (yucko to me). I got a chicken gyro sandwich with greek salad as the side. It was really good. Hubby loved his liver. Only comment is it's pretty expensive. It ended up being almost $60 for lunch and 2 soft drinks and tip. May be a sign of the times but would think twice about coming again as it seems more expensive than other options in town. read more

Waitress we had was amazing! So kuddos to her! Table of 8 of us came in and arrived right before the rush. They were able to seperate all of the checks which was nice since we are all couples. Yelp had several positive reviews for this place, so we decided to give it a try. They get pretty busy, so we waited until late lunch to come in. They close at 2:00 pm each day. They were still somewhat busy, but they had socially distanced the table seating. We were greeted with menus quickly and the service was prompt to take our order and bring our food. I ordered the Reuben sandwich and swapped out the rye bread for sourdough. It came with a side dish so I chose the potato salad. When the sandwich arrived, I was surprised at the plating. It was basically two slices of bread cut diagonally to form 4 triangle shapes. Each triangle had the thousand island dressing, sauerkraut, cheese, and corned beef on top. It seemed more like finger food than a sandwich so I ate it with my hands rather than using silverware. It tasted good but just seemed a bit weird for a sandwich. The potato salad was good as well. My husband wasn't too impressed with his order. He said the food tasted a bit bland and maybe was geared to more mild palates than his. It reminded me a bit of hospital food. Thank you, Yelpers for another hidden gem. We were leaving Sedona heading back to California, and needed a breakfast place that was opened early. Georgie's fit the bill. It's off the beaten path, heading towards old town Cottonwood. If you're not paying attention, it looks like a home and then you see the sign. As of August 2020, they're open for in-store dining. I'm not sure if patrons are spaced apart but at 7 am, there were only 2 other customers there and we were pretty far from each other. Georgie's has breakfast specials and some include juice, entree, and coffee/ tea. I had the Number 5: Eggs and your choice of bacon, sausage or ham. The meal also came with bread or pancakes or biscuits/ gravy, but since I heard the portions were hearty, I just chose toast. Stephen had the Corned Beef Hash n Eggs, and since I didn't want coffee, I gave him my coffee that came with my meal. Plenty of food, and maybe enough for 3 to share (if I had chosen pancakes or biscuit/ gravy as my side). Brekkie for 2 came to just under $20 and that fueled us up for the drive back to California! read more

Meet some friends from town here for breakfast and it was an experience to say the least. I do believe it's a one off but? Dog friendly patio is a plus but all the workers and locals come out here to smoke. Even the owner. I mean there were probably six smokers at one point. Ugh so gross since I'm a non smoker now and It took over twenty minutes to order drinks and another twenty to order food. Everyone is it's so busy inside yadda yadda. I went inside to wash my hands and it was half full. An hour later we got our food. Now you'd think, I'm starving, had been camping and etc and Food would be fantastic. But it wasn't. It was tepid and it was a monte cristo, cheese was all gross because it was cold. Fries were hard and etc. Yea h but wait they're training a new cook too so here's what you get and your experience is an experience and thanks for coming. Id drive by if given the opportunity again. Definetly recomend this place for breakfast! Monday morning, 8:30ish, not too busy, place over half full and our group of 4 got in right away. Staff was all over it! We were seated, watered, juiced, coffee'd, questions answered & orders in before ya knew it! ( Terry, Thank-you! Your the best!) I had my usuall go-to breakfast, Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs. Basically, it was a CFS patty on a bun...with all toppings on the side. I think it would have been a better sandwich if it were covered with a brown or sausage gravy. This place is atrocious from the decor the disgusting stained floors down to the food. The head chef (whom i later found out was part owner, side note im also a chef) was friendly but always seems a bit insincere like he was just trying to put a smile on his face, our meal came out fairly quick although wasn't very busy, never seems like it is. The main cook is fast but doesnt seem to have an ounce or passion for making food its got no appealing look whatsoever in general always seems to be quite bland all around. Although they have had a Mexican gentlemen work some mornings and he seems much better in my honest opinion I have had some great soups before there and sauces though so ill add another star only at 1 while writing... Also this place isn't very popular among locals. that should tell you enough... The staff were lovely, nice lady's trying to make a living. read more

Great spot for breakfast in Cottonwood. My husband loves the french toast and has had no complaints. I've tried some egg dishes and they were great, but waffles aren't their strong suit. Maybe it was just busy and the iron didn't reheat before mine was poured in, but it was a little soggy. That's fine, I have no problem sticking to their GREAT omelets super friendly service and quaint at-home feel. read more

This place has fantastic, home cooked food. Large portions at a low price. The ladies that work there are always friendly, the service is fast and the place is clean with a large menu featuring tons of options. They also have a daily special every day. It reminds me a lot of the old school diner they went to on Happy Days or something! Lol non of the "no gluten, no fat, low salt" stuff hehe in my opinion, this is good old fashion, home cooked, goodness! They are not open very late tho. Very clean diner with a fantastic menu. Breakfast available all day. Specials each day. Staff was friendly and attentive. Georgie's has numerous awards on the wall for "Best Family Restaurant" "Best Lunch Restaurant" "Best Breakfast Restaurant" "Best Restaurant For Your Money" among other awards. The food was delicious and plentiful. You will leave with a to go box. Friday they are open for dinner with all you can eat fish on Friday. The pieces of fish are large. A lady at the table next to us had ordered the fish. She asked for more fish twice and each time it was several large pieces. She took her last order to go. Didn't have room for dessert but it sure looked delicious. Happy to find this great food establishment while out looking around Cottonwood. You don't want to pass the great place up. read more
