If you see me grabbing EVERY IN HOUSE MADE hot sauce. Mind your business as I eat with the goal to hurt ALLLL parts of my digestive system. From the sauces to the meats being cooked/smoked right in front of me like a show because I sat outside?!?! Just don't miss it. Don't. I swear to the four hour hike I did before the meal. Don't miss it. Every cut of meat is juicey and delicious. Nothing dry about the deliciousness

Whenever I stop in Cottonwood I never miss eating at Colt Grill. When you're walking on the sidewalk just follow the smoke. I love pulled pork sandwiches and they never disappoint. Grabbed a side of beans and were set. They have a large patio that's real nice to sit on and enjoy your bbq. There's umbrellas for plenty of shade. They are dog friendly and I like that. The menu has many selections for us carnivores. They also serve beer and have a full bar. You order your food at the counter and then call you to pick up. Large indoor dining as well. Definitely recommend Colts!

Stopped in for dinner last night and thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate. My hubby got a burger and I opted to nosh on several sides. I got the smoked macaroni and cheese, garlic fries and of course his sides of ranch beans and Texas toast. I also tried the jalapeño margarita (definitely had a kick) and my hubby tried the Whistle Pig whiskey flight. We would definitely come back again. The service was good (it is an order then sit place) but everything was quick and so delicious. I loved the added bonus of getting to watch the grill master work the massive smokers outside. Great casual ambiance.

Filly cheesesteak, fries, 3 baby back ribs, brisket tacos

Got a recommendation from our tour guide Jason (shout out to Jason for driving us through the Grand Canyon) that this place has solid food. He never mentioned it was a BBQ place!!! The inside is covered in cowhide decor, the outside seating is near the bbq pit so if you don't like pit smoke sit inside. So here you order and seat yourself. I ordered the Filly cheesesteak with fries. My hubs ordered 3 baby back ribs, brisket tacos and fries. Oh he also had the cowboy cookie. He didn't like the cookie, he said it was dry. Oooooohhhh boy was that brisket tenduuuhhh!!!! I mean melt in your mouth buttery fat made that meat exquisite!!!!! Everything was AMAZING!!!! I forgot the spicy barbecue sauce is a winner!!!!

What a great stop for lunch! For a town that seems super touristy this place seems down to earth! The prices are pretty moderate! The friendliness of staff was great as soon as we walked in we were greeted by the staff! The floating staff was very tentative as well in taking dishes away to offering take away containers! This is not a sit down restaurant. You order at the counter and wait for your number to be called. Despite the restaurant being busy the food came out pretty quickly! Sooooo how was the food? The restaurant offer a wide range of sauces that include mild and hot sauces! Plus there is mustard! You can try all of them if you like! Worth sampling! We ordered the small brisket, pork sandwich and burger! The small brisket was big! I ordered the moist sandwich and it was moist! Sandwich came with pickles and bread! My friend ordered the hamburger and came with a big pepper! I think the pepper was bigger than the meat patty! The meat patty was a bit thin but I heard the burger was still good! The winner of entrees among the group was the pork sandwich: this sandwich was full of meat! The sandwich also had coleslaw. We had so much food that we took some with us for the road! As for seating: the restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating! The outdoor seating is nested around water fountain and shaded! Also you can watch the big smokers for the meat! The indoor space is cozy with cow print seats! If you are looking for a place to eat, I suggest this place!

Have to give it a 3 star ... Food was 50/50 brisket was warmed up by microwave from the hard areas that typically leave hard , sausages are 100% good , hash browns excellent , eggs good , smoked bacon super over cooked and nasty and oily and my brother got the famous burrito and he said it was oily Service we there was no service really it's all counter service and the girl taking order needs to be more helpful . Lately I've been telling people that it's my first time and what do they recommend and well I got nothing from her and they I was like make sure my whole order come out because I had order todo and I was like just bing it all out and then the cooks where like it will come out when your done eating ... Ambiance was nice and cowboy feel and clean . Would I go back and I'm on the fence about this place .

Our group of six was looking for a good breakfast spot on main street in Cottonwood and stumbled upon this restaurant. This is the perfect spot for a comfort food based breakfast. The menu was not overwhelming while still having some variety. There were a ya drip of vegetarian friendly options which was super helpful. You order at the counter and food is made so quickly! I loved the BBQ sauce bar inside, I highly recommend you try the golden bbq sauce. Staff were kind and quick to help. 10/10 would recommend!

Amazing barbecue location in the tiny town of Cottonwood, we usually go to the location in Sedona, which has a much better selection of local beers, but the food here couldn't be beat and we were well satisfied. Friendly staff made it all the better. We got a real kick out of the Cow pattern chairs, great ambience!

Small thoroughbred salad with brisket and tangy bbq sauce

Went for lunch after asking the guys at the nearby cactus farm for recommendations. You walk in, grab a menu and tell the hostess what you want. She takes your name & # and tells you to find a seat. It was kinda like counter service without the menu board. I ordered the Thoroughbred salad with brisket and some garlic butter fries. (Don't judge, I was on vacation). The salad came in a stainless steel bowl with steaming smoked brisket in a separate container. You add whatever sauce or condiments you want, though the salad comes dressed on its own. (I got mine without dressing). The salad was fresh and the addition of the brisket and tangy Texas BBQ sauce that I selected was spot on. The amount of yummy, pungent garlic on the fries was astonishing and they were tasty as well. The location is on a corner in Old Cottonwood and most of the chairs are covered in a fitting cowhide print. They also have a dog-friendly outdoor eating area. Did I mention that you can see the pit master doing his thing? It's about as authentic as it gets!

Brisket sandwich.

Best BBQ I've had. My entire family makes fun of me because I am obsessed with their brisket. Every year we come here, we go at least 3 times. Cannot recommend it enough. I have never had anything bad here. The brisket sandwich (half and half) is the way to go. Brisket tacos are fantastic as well!

Yes, we do love this food. It's the first time we tried it out and you can smell it when you walk up and it's as good as it smells. Garlic fries were OK but the brisket so tender and yummy and if you have a dog, you can sit on the patio and it's dog friendly. They even have a dog hamburger.

Overall, I thought the quality of the food was excellent and I would come again. The Thoroughbred salad was very good and very filling. The cod tacos are extremely spicy - my kiddo ordered it and he couldn't finish it due to spice. I tasted it and it was yummy but definitely a lot of kick from the jalapeño. We shared a side of onion rings for the table - they were fantastic, everything you want in an onion ring ! The cowboy cookie sundae was for my kiddo. I tasted it and thought it was just ok. I'd come back!

Veggies and meat. All the food groups.

This little gem is some really good BBQ! Nice smoke and big servings. Wife and I enjoyed the sample platter and a wonderful salad (yeah I know , who cares about salad at a Q place?). Their method is lineup, order, pay and then they have seating. I found it weird they have separate cashiers for food and drink orders (swipe twice) but that's just a nit. Enough meat to make sandwiches for our drive to PHX the next day. Really good place to eat BBQ in Cottonwood!

Coming back to The Clinkscale for a second time--after such an unforgettable honeymoon experience…read moreback in November--just confirmed what we already knew: this place is truly something special. Traveling back to Arizona, we knew we had to return, and once again, it exceeded every expectation. The filet mignon is simply out of this world--served sizzling in a cast iron skillet with clarified butter, it's incredibly flavorful, perfectly cooked, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. It's the kind of dish you think about long after the meal is over. What really sets this place apart, though, is the people. The staff consistently go above and beyond, creating an experience that feels both elevated and welcoming. And Michael, the manager, is exceptional--so accommodating, attentive, and genuinely invested in making every guest feel taken care of. It's rare to find a restaurant that delivers this level of quality and consistency twice, let alone make you want to keep coming back. Without a doubt, one of the greatest dining experiences in the USA. We'll absolutely be back again.

We originally thought this would be typical drive-in fare, but the quality and freshness exceeded my expectations. It's really a step above most other similar greasy diner and drive-in establishments. Burgers here are extremely customizable. To save time waiting in line, Bing's provides slips of paper by the counter to fill in for ease of ordering. Simply fill one out and pay at the register to get an order started. A lot of items seem to be made fresh to order, so the food took about 20 minutes to arrive. Deluxe Burger, Bacon Jam, Mayo, Lettuce, Onion, Tomato, Pickle ($10.25) - This is a huge burger, tall enough to make it difficult to compress enough to fit in the mouth. They use pretty high quality ingredients here and seem to hand cut the veggies. The lettuce is nice and crisp, the tomato is thick cut and fresh, the red onion is an entire slice instead of rings. The pickles are much larger than typical chips but still have that kind of neon-green sheen to them. Mayo is only spread on the top bun slice, enough to lubricate the burger, but not too much to become too messy to eat. The burger patty is excellent. It seems to be made from fresh beef and then only slightly smashed from a ball on the flat top. It's a THICK patty, served piping hot with good char and robust beefy flavor. The interior is cooked until well done with no pink, but it's not dried out at all, and there's more than enough moisture coming from the other ingredients to balance it out. The bacon jam that I added for $1 is a fantastic addition. It's sweet from sugars and caramelized onion and full of bacon umami. The burger as a whole isn't very greasy at all. (5/5) Large Hand Cut Fries ($6) - The fries are relatively thin, shoestring-like, fried to a darker golden brown giving a good caramelized potato flavor. The interiors remain mostly fluffy, although some of the smaller fries approach being dry. The exteriors are mostly crisp, but much softer than, say, battered fries. The fries are appropriately salted and peppered, meaning that they are nice to eat without any accompanying ketchup or other dip. They are on the more oily side compared to some other places. (4/5) Bing's serves food with really fresh flavors. It's simple fare, but very high quality. I'd definitely return for more if I'm ever back in town. Bathrooms - One unisex room outside the restaurant on the North side. Note: Bing's charges a 3% credit card fee. This is labeled on the menu (actually the menu states 3.9% fee)

While making the reservation I made a note that our oldest son is autistic and non-verbal and his only form of communication so that staff was aware we decided to give this place a try. After spending close to $800 on food for our party we decided to exit the restaurant and that is when the problems began. As we were walking out another customer at the bar a patron at the bar decided to squeal at my son but also yell into his face. When who I assumed was her daughter realized we saw what was going on she covered her mouth and told her to stop. Being adults and understanding of others different situations we decided the best method was to approach the management team and explain the situation. I then approached a manger who was wearing a pink colored collared shirt and explained to her what happened and her response was "that hurts my heart, we do not stand for that and we will definitely do something about this." We waited outside for about 15 minutes to see what was going to be done and once we saw nothing was I went back in to speak to the general manager. This was definitely the worst part of the night. Tiana came out to speak to us and I asked her to speak on the side so that other patrons were not affected. Her response to me after explaining the situation was "since we did not see it we cannot do anything." I let her know that was an inappropriate response and that since it was a private business they could remove any patron for any reason but if they did not want to do that then she could just openly tell me that. I then gave her an example and stated "if I stab someone and you do not see it then you would not remove me?" Her response was "we definitely would," to which I stated that goes against what you just openly told me and she that there is damage from a stabbing. I then stated to her that physical damage is the same as emotional and mental damge just in a different form which she seemed to easily dismiss. She then stated that the first manager I spoke to was doing her due diligence to find out what happened and I then pointed out that that manager was actually waiting tables and we watched her do this the entire time so I was not sure when due diligence was being completed. We went around in circles, I asked her to give me the ownership information to which she stated "the owner is too famous for you to know," but eventually gave me the name which I had already searched for in my phone. At this point I openly stated that she could just tell me they were not going to do anything and that transparency would be more appreciated to which her response was "you are not currently dining in my restaurant so you need to leave my property." We did walk away but I hope that this is addressed and not pushed aside. All that to say, I hope this type of discrimination was not because we were Hispanic (the restaurant was filled with 90% Caucasian clients), because we were from out of town (from California) and mostly I hope it is not because the stance of the restaurant is not that people with disabilities matter less. I hope someone reaches out to me to address this concern and I hope no other family has to be a part of what we went through tonight. Tiana seems to be invested in the business and that is great but should also understand her customer concerns. Update to this review: Called this morning (2/17/26) and the hostess said she was not going to help me with any information, that I was a weirdo, to grow up and then hung up the phone on me.
