Delicious coffee and custard. For those who can figure out how to get into their secret entrance, they have a lovely little conspirators lounge, full with a speakeasy bar, and very fast internet.

This place is super cute -- loved the spooky decor. There's even a secret door that takes you to the other side of their bar/coffee area. You need to ask them for the password, which is a fun touch, but it does get crowded back there. I expected it to be packed, but it wasn't too busy when we went. Heads up that it does take a little time for them to make your order, but the service was great overall. I got the matcha with little chunks of mango and shreds of coconut . My husband got the Lucky Charms shake with marshmallows and actual Lucky Charms. Both were creamy, delicious, and not too sweet. One downside: the menu was a little confusing. Under "toppings" I thought I was getting real fruit, but it turned out to be syrup. Also, everything is really filling. After lunch it was almost too much

Came here just for the speakeasy side! Cocktail was STRONG. Didn't get pics of the frozen custard on the main side, but can confirm it's creamy and delicious! Plain vanilla was my fav.

I was visiting from San Diego and was really excited to check this place out, they're known for their speakeasy but because there was such a long wait we opted to order from Black Cat Frozen Custard instead. The shop itself has some fun decor, but instead of patrons eating custard people were just waiting to get into the speak easy. I did end up ordering an iced matcha with brown sugar and I kid you not that was probably the "okayest" matcha I have ever had. If you look at my photos the shade of my matcha was more white then green and even though I had paid extra to add sweetener to it it was still pretty bland. Maybe I should have opted for the custard instead? I would give this a hard pass, not sure if I just went on a bad day but people were not friendly and my drink was just lacking.

Black Cat Frozen Custard is what happens when someone takes an ice cream shop and give it a spooky makeover. The space has little lounge areas and hidden nooks feel so transported. There is also a secret door - be sure to step into it like Narnia as it will bring you to another lounge area! There is a secret code, you will need in order to gain access thru the door - the staff here is super friendly so they'll be able to help you out with this. The custard is great, but the atmosphere is what makes this place memorable! Bonus points for being so close to Raven's Manor. Make a night of it - grab a custard, then head over for more gothic vibes afterward. Such a cute spot for a date, a family outing, or anyone who appreciates a little goth.

Aside from the witchy themed space and the secret room, they do have some good frozen custard. The ambiance matches the expectations you have if the space. There was no line when we visited so the lady had time to walk us through the menu.

Cute theme and cool decor for an outing experience. Friendly staff and sufficient services. Limited choice of custard, on a sweeter side for my taste and pricey. Metered street parking. Watch your surroundings when you come solo at night, especially for female. I would recommend you come in group for better experience. P.Y. Clean restroom with toilet seat covers.

Amazing find! Delicious homemade custard in vanilla and chocolate. Seasonal pumpkin is heavenly and I grabbed it with their homemade chocolate cone. The cone was so light and crispy that I grabbed a second one because I love waffle cones. Buddy ordered a pumpkin shake. Delicious! Love the theme and the decor... very haunting. Street parking. Please come and create your own adventure.

What an interesting spot- cute theme! The custard was pretty good. It's surprisingly not overly sweet which I was expecting. I got the vanilla custard with the oreos- I know, boring but tried and true. It was nothing exciting but still solid. It took a good couple minutes for the custard to come out but the wait wasn't too bad.

This is a cute/Halloweeny decor place and I love all forms of ice cream BUT the trendy idea doesn't make up for a weird experience. I found the menu pretty confusing. It's only located in a big binder and has a lot of text. It's just over explained and over complicated. You have to flip back and forth between pages to figure out what you want/how to order. It also has a coffee menu but as far as I can tell, you have to get coffee in the secret other side of the business. I also found it annoying to see people constantly trying to get into the "speakeasy" coffee bar next door. People kept standing in the door, not being able to get in. Not know going how to get in. You need a password and a dagger to get in. (Spoiler, the Password is in the bio for Conspirator's Coffee Lounge) I feel like it's too secret that it's exclusionary. I hate to be a hater but it was just an unpleasant experience to be in there.

Fun, cute spooky ice cream shop connected to a Speakeasy type coffee shop. The ice cream shop is fairly standard and straightforward. We tried the banana split (2 chocolate, 1 vanilla) with strawberry, pineapple, and hot fudge. The color changing spoons were fun. Used the password (found on IG) to receive our dagger that is used to access the secret coffee shop and it is worth the work if you are looking for beautiful quiet spot for tea & coffee. We really enjoyed our mocha and lavender cold brew (fragrant and not sweet) Cocktails are available from 5:30pm but there are only 3 house cocktails offered - thankfully there was one vodka based drink (my allergies restrict me to certain liquors) with earl gray syrup. It was sticky sweet, so it was one and done for me. The decor and rules for keeping this a relaxing, serene space make me want to spend hours here!

Cool, dark themed coffee and dessert shop. The decors were 10/10. The secret door connecting the coffee shop was super awesome. Their frozen custard had more of a regular ice cream texture to me in the Pistachio Potion Sundae. Flavors and mix-ins were good though. The Concrete was similar to a DQ blizzard but a little more gourmet. I'd pick the Concrete over the Sundae next time. Very generous portion.

After drooling over their Instagram, I knew I had to go. To my dismay I arrived at something that…read moredidn't look like it was a cafe or even opened. I wasn't even sure I was at the right place, thought they were still transitioning from one location to another. Until someone who shared the kitchen popped out. I was told that I should order online and come by for pick up, and was strongly urged to do so because these cheesecakes were really good. When I saw that they were doing a contactless store front, I knew I had to go. This was my opportunity to try it. I texted the owner to ask if the flavor I had my eye on was available. I was halfway there before the owner responded that they had one slice of pandan cheesecake left. There are multiple forms of payment with a card reader, and various apps to pay with online which made this a breeze. The owner Kiana, even popped to introduce herself which I thought was so nice! The flavors here aren't your typical strawberry, chocolate, peanut butter cheesecakes, even though she does offer some variation of them. There's pandan, ube, lemongrass, ginger mango, passionfruit, matcha, guava, pineapple raspberry, and I heard she even cooks up something with the pickle brine from the other business that operates in that kitchen. I thought this would be one of those situations where the food won't look like the picture. The pictures are obviously styled, they look stunning. Nope! The food looked just like what was on Instagram. I am a long time lover of cheesecake, dare I say it's my favorite of the cakes. The condensed milk ube mirror glaze was a lot thicker than I thought it would be and held its form. It wasn't runny and goopy. Loved that it wasn't a sticky mess. The crust was very very thick, I've always wanted more crust on other cheesecakes. On the description, it says it's "jasmine scented almond shortbread cookie crust" slightly saltier than most crusts I've had, but still very enjoyable. I've only had the traditional graham cracker crust and I'm afraid this almond shortbread crust has ruined all other cheesecake crusts for me. I have been disappointed at a lot of places using pandan, because the flavor just wasn't there, not Muse cheesecakes though. Pandan was present indeed. I would have loved if it was a little stronger, but I think that would have overpowered the cheesecake. Each component of the cheesecake are so different and complex on its own. They come together in delicious harmony to make this beautiful slice. I grew up with a lot of Vietnamese food and pandan has a very special place in my stomach.. heart! I've never seen jasmine used outside of tea and condensed milk outside of Vietnamese iced coffee. Kiana definitely has a way with these ingredients and she's a cheesecake goddess! I really can't wait to try the calamansi, Ube, and whatever else is getting cooked up in this delicious kitchen.

Muse cheesecakes make my heart sing and gets me doing a happy dance. I first heard of Muse…read morecheesecakes through instagram. She offers durian cheesecake. Whaaaat? Yep, you heard me right. Durian cheesecake!!!! I am Vietnamese-Cambodian and durian is my jam. I love its pungent goodness in all forms -- pure and un-doctored straight from the prickly shell, ice cream, smoothie, topping on mashed avocado dessert and now.. CHEESECAKE! ohhh my goodness. My heart. I have returned so many times and buying extra slices (possibly buying out her supply for the week...) to share with my family and friends, who have all raved about the cheesecake from here. Durian isn't her only flavor though. She has so many creative flavors and I've noticed she's had comfort flavors from different cultures. To top it off, the owner, Kiana, is a wonderful lady. She is a one woman team and is kicking butt at her game from what I've gathered in the short time I've known her. She could be dead tired, but always has a smile on her face. I almost forgot to rave about her TARO BURGER on a vegan bun. I don't know how frequently she makes them, but if you see it being offered, do yourself a favor and get it. The portion is quite large so be prepared for leftovers. Unfortunately for me, my carnivorous sister gobbled the other portion of my burger right up and didn't even miss her meat. It comes with a vegan mac salad on the side. I am not one to enjoy mac salads usually, I think it's due to the mayo (not a mayo fan), but I actually liked this version. I forgot to take a picture of the burger before it all got inhaled. Sad face.

I decided to visit Hawthorne Asylum, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The atmosphere reminded me of a night market, except with permanent food carts. It has a fun, lively vibe, and there are so many different food options that there's something for everyone. It's a great place to come with friends or family since everyone can choose something different. There's also a bar in the middle of the food cart pod. We didn't get a chance to try it because we had already ordered boba tea from another vendor, but it looked like a great place to relax and enjoy a drink. I'll definitely check it out the next time I'm back. Overall, Hawthorne Asylum is a fun spot with a great atmosphere and an excellent variety of food.
