This place is awesome. And, I really think it is worth a more than one visit. Service is on point and of course your girl had to get the first review! Oh, great vibe and looks like they have tasty treats in the same venue.

A stout to blow your panties off! Frogalicious is a very close second. Both an incredible mingling of the best ingredients to make your mouth water. Very casual atmosphere. Food is holy Moses!!! There's honey in all of the beers here and the entire menu is made to complement them. Service was so gracious and there's an abundance for sure. Easy parking, clean and new everything! You will not leave here, hungry, thirsty or looking for the next brewery. Black Frog is on point and out of sight!

The beer from this brewery was incredible! We had the raspberry Kolsch and that was to die for. We ended up taking a large bottle of it home. The interior of the brewery was very nice and clean. It was well decorated and they had a nice patio! We sat inside and with the doors open it felt like the perfect temperature. The person who helped us figure out what beer we wanted was very knowledgeable and friendly! Service was incredible. We will be going back!

If you're a beer fan, and fan of local and beer history, this is a must visit stop in downtown Cleveland. There's a ton to see here. If you reflect outside, you can see how this used to be a bunch of separate businesses and houses that gradually turned into the large spot that's here today. The exterior is historic brick facades, some of which carry over inside. It's along a street that has been transformed into pedestrian only access, so you'll have a pleasant visit if you sit outside to enjoy the fresh air, shady trees, and passersby. Inside there is a ton to look at. The main entrance toward the middle hold the original brewing system from when they first started; they've come a long way. To the left you'll find the merchandise store, with beer to go, plus a ton of apparel, swag, and other merchandise. To the right begin the bar areas, and there are a few. The old bar is here, right at the crossroads of all the staircases and hallways: the basement is its own vibe and also has the only restrooms, main level has various seating areas. If you're at the main bar, you can order direct from the bar; our bartender was so fast and attentive despite the huge crows. Upstairs is another experience with old creaky floors and many small rooms for more intimate conversations. Everywhere throughout is historic brewery art, trays, bottles, etc. from the region, most of which are long gone. Their beer is consistently well made and flavorful, I'm told they have amazing holiday traditions and events here. It's well worth a visit.

The beer was cold and tasty, my only complaint was that they were out of a couple of beers. The food was pretty good. They had a good selection to choose from and everyone felt satisfied that they had something they wanted. Service was decent. She was friendly, but disappeared for a bit while we were waiting to pay.

Thanks to this merger, there were selections from each on tap as each has their own specialties and signature. We came right after opening on a Sunday morning, and there were already people enjoying some beers. It was a late night for us, so it was great to also have an iced tea and Philly cheesesteak, then start enjoying all the great beers on tap. Their beer is consistently made, draft lines and glassware clean. We had a great interaction with bartender Shannon, who was super attentive and friendly the whole time. They have mostly inside seating, with bar stools. A merchandise shop is at the host stand. You must also checkout the basement, with barrels and comfy seating areas, I'm told it's a sight to behold around the holidays. Prices are reasonable, and you know what you're getting when you come here. It's worth a visit, especially if you need a good meal and some beers after a game nearby.

This brewery feels like it's in a quiet residential neighborhood because it is; nearby is a wine by but otherwise it's picturesque streets and homes. Going inside it looks a little unremarkable, like a garage brewery anywhere. But inside it's special. The main bar room is like an open barn, with warmth tasteful decor. Behind the bar is an antique ice chest, used to display their merchandise. They have a small menu of tasteful styles; we all got to talk to one of the brewers who was clearly proud of what they make. Further inside there are other rooms for private events, working brewery areas, historical decor, and restrooms at the end. The real draw here though is the outdoor beer garden: wood chip floor, big comfy Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, high tops, fire pit areas, basically any type of seating for groups or singles. Big trees, ivy, green everywhere; it was so relaxing enjoying our flights as cyclists and others came in and out through the gate from the street. The beer was also great, delicious quality and reasonable prices. This is a must-visit brewery in Cleveland, you sure don't feel like you're in a city when you're here.

My only criticism is that staff are very proactive about clearing tables. On more than one occasion, someone has taken items without asking first, including a drink I was still planning to finish. Because of this, we made an effort visit and were glad we did. The pizza is some of the best I've had in years, so that's a must if you're visit. I just love the story; this brewery is downtown in a huge building that looks almost too big for what's inside. It's an old newspaper building, hence Masthead. But even more fun, the original name of the city was "Cleaveland" but it couldn't fit on the newspaper masthead, so they simply shortened it to "Cleveland" and here we are today. The brewery name is in reference to these stories. They have a ton of seating, and a well planned ordering area as you enter. They have high tops, bar seating, and huge long tables for large groups or to share. They also have a great outdoor seating and standing area along the city streets lined with trees. The bartenders were all super friendly and efficient with all the customers constantly coming up. I got a great flight of styles, I wish I had the time to have had more; next time. Our table ordered a bunch of different pizzas to try; I loved the crispy yet soft crusts, cheeses, oils, and fresh ingredients on tap. Prices on everything is reasonable for the quality. This was definitely a favorite stop of the day, and a must-visit if you're on a beer tour of the area.
