Immediate warmth and good vibes as soon as I walked in, Jabari greeted me as he was taking an order out to a customer. He had a smile on his face and said that he would be right with me. He gave me a rundown of the menu and helped me with my final decision, I went with their tiramisu latte as he said it was a little on the sweeter side, THAT IT WAS. They house make their vanilla syrup as well as their mocha. I would definitely try this one again, but just know the mocha comes through strong for me it's one of those -when I'm in the mood lattes. Pierre made my drink and he did exceptional. Cool spot with artwork to admire and a game system with some throwbackz!

Very cool and laid back ambiance! Cheerful employees that greet you with a smile when you come through the door. The breakfast sandwich was really good. Lattes were good as well

Amazing matcha here!! not overly sweet, earthy, and great flavor additions. Came on a day they were having a Black History Month celebration and vibes were amazing! Very kind baristas & so helpful. Cute hidden cafe

Forgot pictures of my coffee but the curated vibe here is awesome!

This is a black owned cafe. The service was great, and the drinks tasted really good. This is a nice place to come for work or studying.

A new coffee shop has come to this location that harvests all the neighborhood energy from West Adams Harvard Heights and Koreatown being so close to them all. Super cool vibes in a huge open space inside filled with art and good music. Outdoors a good sized parking lot and very cute al fresco tables, including a comfier outdoor nook great for date vibes and even this cool glass pod for meetings or more focused work! Such a fascinating and cool idea. So near the register they have some coffees for sale, delicious mochi rice krispies (the sesame WAS fire per recommendation), and some other stuff for purchase. I didn't try any of the eats other than said krisp but will absolutely be doing that in the future. Side note ~ their bagged coffee names are dope Black Star, iLLmatic, the miseducation, mamba - My bestie is a huge Black Starr fan so he will def be getting some beans in his stocking this Christmas. I did a black cold brew, loved it, was hyped all day and left a happy girl. My friend also enjoyed his latte. I've honestly already fallen in love with this little shop and am going to try to do some remote work half days here to get out in the sun! They're open 7am to 4pm~ my exact work hours lolz Welcome to the 'hood, Black Line!

I felt like I just left the city for a week-ish and now I got a long list of new places to pay a visit. Black Line made it to the list and it successfully astonished me that I'd been to the place before when it used to be Alibi in Ktown. The new one apparently had no affiliation to the previous cafe as it featured new menu and owned by different person (what the barista told me). I loved the spot as it's spacious, having its own dedicated parking (surely a win in Ktown!), and tons of natural lights coming in. Prolly only one downside if you're trying to find a place to work on gadgets as it didn't really provide power plugs in all seating. Putting that aside, it's just a perfect spot and even brought to the next level with super friendly baristas that treated me like a regular despite it's actually my first. Asking for her recommendation on pastries as I was torn between the Almond Croissant and the Cheese Danish, she recommended the first and offered to warm it up. Making the right decision to trust her, the pastry despite prolly not being the most gorgeous almond croissant I had, turned out YUM with buttery base and pleasant stuffing. Going for my usual sweetened milk-based espresso drink, I tried their Honey Vanilla Latte from their Specialty Drink list and it didn't disappoint as well. Despite it sounded like very sweet drink, it actually came just as the right level and I was pleased that they could serve it extra hot just like how I preferred. Good coffee, Good place, Good people; made an awesome trio there.

Stopped in for a drink and a snack before Pilates. The strawberry matcha was quite sweet, but delicious nonetheless. The ham and cheese croissant was very nice too. Inside was clean, service was standard. Easy street parking outside. Solid coffee shop.

Love this little shop! The vibe is great for a nice read or to catch up on that email you've been avoiding. The roasts are delightful with a perfect balance of strength and flavor. All staff are so kind and friendly very very knowledgeable as well! 10/10 definitely recommend this location!

Was a bit disappointed to hear Black line replaced Alibi coffee. But not so much anymore after coming in. Went with a simple cappuccino so I could taste the bold flavor of the espresso. It was well balanced. Baristas were very welcoming and informative on their menu. It was a bit quiet for a Saturday morning but not sure if that's because they're so new to the neighborhood. Will likely be back to try other items.

I saw a TikTok and decided to visit. I'm so glad I did. We got the strawberry Matcha and the grinch Matcha (a white chocolate matcha). Both drinks were sweet, which we didn't mind. The decor was nice. It was very spacious. There was indoor and outdoor seating. The barista was very friendly and helpful. And I even grabbed a protein pudding for later that turned out to be absolutely delicious (pistachio flavored). They also have a free parking lot which is super nice given the area. I plan to go back.

Overall it tasted like a combination of an American latte with Viet coffee! Staff were nice and friendly. Some bench seating on the inside but lots of tables/chairs outside. I tried their Americano with thick lavender creme and it was subtle yet nice. Never had an Americano like that and I didn't hate it. Honestly, the…read morelocation is a little hard to find-- there doesn't seem to be a dedicated parking lot, so street parking it is! However, there's also not a lot of street parking either. I ended up parking in the neighborhood, but it was one of those 4 parking street signs layered on top of each other, designed to confuse the heck out of you. I ended up taking a photo and running it through Gemini to make sure I was safe to park. Okay, parking aside, mu.so is located in large black office building-- they do put out a little "coffee" sign on the sidewalk. When you do see it, the actual coffee shot is small, but there's a whole backyard patio area with plenty of space for you to hang out. Anyways, I went with their iced americano with lavender cream top. I've been to a lot of coffee shops, but haven't run into a lavender cream top-- so of course I had to try. I thought it was pretty good, the cream top was a good pairing w/ the americano-- it sweetened the coffee, without making it too sweet or heavy. The lavender brought a light floral flavor to the coffee. While it's nothing life changing, I did think, it's a solid cup of coffee, it's worth a try, but probably not worth a dedicated drive over. I also picked up a blueberry muffin, because honestly, I love everything blueberry. I'd pass on it, but I'd recommend trying something else-- like the crossiants, which looked tastier. Overall, I might come by again and try one of their other drinks. While it wasn't bad, I expected a little more from a "signature' drink.
