Matcha latte + banana matcha latte
    Erick P.

Stopped by local coffee shop since had some time to spare before my barber appt. Glad I did. Saw that they had ceremonial grade matcha so decided to stop in. Had the banana matcha latte (real banana puree) and matcha latte, both were amazing. Nice quiet spacious coffee shop. Also shoutout to Scott and the team for the great service for my first time in. Will def be back. Update: I drank my whole banana matcha latte on the 1 min car ride to my haircut appt

Still one of my favorite coffee shops for coffee work and study! I branched out from my usuals - vanilla latte, and dalgona cafe lattes and tried the banana latte! This banana latte is not like ones I've tried before, they use real banana. Overall it's a nicely balanced latte and the real banana in it is a real treat. 10/10 for me and I don't even like banana like that, but I will be back to try it again.

I really enjoyed the coffee and pastries. I had a Latte (as usual!) and a jalapeño/cheese croissant and it was fantastic. It was my first time there with my coworker, she ordered a matcha. The service was amazing! They took the time to tell us about the menu and had recommendations. Great ambiance! Good place to go and do some work or just enjoy you coffee.

I paid for a bit extra matcha and it was delicious :) sooo good!

What an absolutely charming coffee shop! I saw their advertisement for quality matcha when driving by and had to pop in. Scott provided me with excellent customer service. He was kind, professional and informative. The space has such good vibes... clean, orderly and serene. Loved my latte too :) Love that they have signs up for no loud talking, nothing like a coffee shop designed for the chill souls.

I had a great first visit at The History Coffee! From the relaxing jazz music to a 10/10 iced banana latte, I recommend! COFFEE I tried the cold Banana Latte (with almond milk) and it was delicious!! I liked how it came with real banana chunks + it seemed to have a decent amount of caffeine from how productive I was able to be lol AMBIENCE/SERVICE The service was great - they even bring out your items to your table. I came here to work and chose the place because of the amount of seating inside. I was not disappointed as I found a seat immediately and connected to wifi quickly. It was a little hot inside but may be just my personal preference. Overall, this spot is clean, had calming jazz music playing (not too loud), and was a great spot for people who came for a chat as well as for people like me who had a laptop and came to get stuff done. (note: I didn't see too many outlets, so try to come with your laptop/phone charged) PARKING I found a metered spot right in front of the shop - it was a few dollars for a couple hours as expected. I heard there is also more parking at the nearby residential area.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this spot. They had the most equipped barista, she was amazing, super knowledgeable and kept the cleanliness of cafe on its toes okay! Great spot for anyone who gets over overstimulated in coffee shops by noise/atmosphere. It's a charming clean, spacious, quiet place!

Nice chill coffee shop with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Had a banana latte and it had a great flavor.

This place is located on the corner on the bottom floor of a living quarter. There is plenty of free street parking, just pay attention to the street signs. This shop is very quiet with people working/studying on their laptops. I ordered an iced matcha latte with a cream top and it was quite delicious. I also ordered a chocolate and banana bread and a lemon poppy muffin which were moist and tasty.

I wanted to try a new coffee shop, and this was right by my friends place so we decided to check it out. First thing I noticed on the menu was a photo from Squid Games (the main character holding the cookie from one of the challenges). The cookie from the show is a Korean cookie called Dalgona, and they make them handmade at this cafe. Their signature drinks have crumbled Dalgona on top of the drinks which I thought was so cool. The cookie gives it a bittersweet taste, and melts into the coffee which tasted amazing. I got the Vanilla Iced Latte with the Dalgona on top. There is also a good amount of seating, and is a great place to get work done. I definitely will be back!

I wish I could rate It 0 stars the whole sandwhich was only a head of Lettuce cheap deli meats, and a small amount.

This place is super cute! If you're looking for a nice spot to come and chill, study or have a cute coffee date. This is it! The cashier was super friendly she went over all the question I had about the menu. The prices were pretty reasonable honestly. The only annoying part is parking, but then again what place in LA doesn't have bad parking now a days. Definitely give this place a try!

Cute little spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Very friendly staff. I picked up a group order we were all happy with the taste of our drinks. Matchas and guava refresher with matcha cold foam.

    Tyler S.

History Coffee is a true gem for both coffee and matcha lovers. The Mocha Matcha Latte with Oatmilk was elegantly presented and perfectly balanced, hitting every note on the flavor palette. The clean, comfy cafe feel paired with a variety of pastries and drinks makes this a must-try spot to settle in and sip something special. Quick and outstanding service.

It was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, not too strong (but rich coffee flavor) and creamy but not oily, just so delicious. And the location is a nice spot too. It looked as much like an art gallery as it did a coffee spot. It is small but it has nice designated areas to work and relax. When I was there it was also quiet which is a nice change from a lot of coffee shops. And I believe it was the Owner who made my drink and she was very friendly and chill without being you know that kind of corporate-y overly effusive. The whole vibe could be summed up as relaxed. I tried their Americano with thick lavender creme and it was subtle yet nice. Never had an Americano like that and I didn't hate it. But this did look appealing so I said why not be different today lol They also had food tried the bulgolgi burrito it was okay very hearty on the meat and had two eggs on it but I felt something was missing? Honestly, the…read morelocation is a little hard to find-- there doesn't seem to be a dedicated parking lot, so street parking it is! However, there's also not a lot of street parking either. I ended up parking in the neighborhood, but it was one of those 4 parking street signs layered on top of each other, designed to confuse the heck out of you. I ended up taking a photo and running it through Gemini to make sure I was safe to park. Okay, parking aside, mu.so is located in large black office building-- they do put out a little "coffee" sign on the sidewalk. When you do see it, the actual coffee shot is small, but there's a whole backyard patio area with plenty of space for you to hang out. Anyways, I went with their iced americano with lavender cream top. I've been to a lot of coffee shops, but haven't run into a lavender cream top-- so of course I had to try. I thought it was pretty good, the cream top was a good pairing w/ the americano-- it sweetened the coffee, without making it too sweet or heavy. The lavender brought a light floral flavor to the coffee. While it's nothing life changing, I did think, it's a solid cup of coffee, it's worth a try, but probably not worth a dedicated drive over. I also picked up a blueberry muffin, because honestly, I love everything blueberry. I'd pass on it, but I'd recommend trying something else-- like the crossiants, which looked tastier. Overall, I might come by again and try one of their other drinks. While it wasn't bad, I expected a little more from a "signature' drink.

So crazy, I live up the road, work down the road and drive on Pico all the time that I have never noticed them until last week. Walking in this place is your typical Los Angeles hipster coffee shop. Perfect for what this neighborhood has seemed to be changing into the past few years that I've lived in the neighborhood. Customer service was all right. Not necessarily friendly, I walked in and it took a minute for someone to acknowledge me. Now maybe to their credit it's because I was awkwardly standing by the pick up area but still nonetheless a hello good morning welcome would have been nice. Two drinks cost me $15. Like I said, LA. But for the credit, they were both very good. I'll be back for breakfast and more drinks so an updated review is to come. But for now, I recommend them for a a good cup of joe in the neighborhood.
