I paid for a bit extra matcha and it was delicious :) sooo good!
    Amber L.

What an absolutely charming coffee shop! I saw their advertisement for quality matcha when driving by and had to pop in. Scott provided me with excellent customer service. He was kind, professional and informative. The space has such good vibes... clean, orderly and serene. Loved my latte too :) Love that they have signs up for no loud talking, nothing like a coffee shop designed for the chill souls.

I really enjoyed the coffee and pastries. I had a Latte (as usual!) and a jalapeño/cheese croissant and it was fantastic. It was my first time there with my coworker, she ordered a matcha. The service was amazing! They took the time to tell us about the menu and had recommendations. Great ambiance! Good place to go and do some work or just enjoy you coffee.

I had a great first visit at The History Coffee! From the relaxing jazz music to a 10/10 iced banana latte, I recommend! COFFEE I tried the cold Banana Latte (with almond milk) and it was delicious!! I liked how it came with real banana chunks + it seemed to have a decent amount of caffeine from how productive I was able to be lol AMBIENCE/SERVICE The service was great - they even bring out your items to your table. I came here to work and chose the place because of the amount of seating inside. I was not disappointed as I found a seat immediately and connected to wifi quickly. It was a little hot inside but may be just my personal preference. Overall, this spot is clean, had calming jazz music playing (not too loud), and was a great spot for people who came for a chat as well as for people like me who had a laptop and came to get stuff done. (note: I didn't see too many outlets, so try to come with your laptop/phone charged) PARKING I found a metered spot right in front of the shop - it was a few dollars for a couple hours as expected. I heard there is also more parking at the nearby residential area.

Nice chill coffee shop with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Had a banana latte and it had a great flavor.

Cute little spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Very friendly staff. I picked up a group order we were all happy with the taste of our drinks. Matchas and guava refresher with matcha cold foam.

This place is located on the corner on the bottom floor of a living quarter. There is plenty of free street parking, just pay attention to the street signs. This shop is very quiet with people working/studying on their laptops. I ordered an iced matcha latte with a cream top and it was quite delicious. I also ordered a chocolate and banana bread and a lemon poppy muffin which were moist and tasty.

Good coffee and good service. A small comfi cafe with tasty Coffee. And pastries are good too btw

I wanted to try a new coffee shop, and this was right by my friends place so we decided to check it out. First thing I noticed on the menu was a photo from Squid Games (the main character holding the cookie from one of the challenges). The cookie from the show is a Korean cookie called Dalgona, and they make them handmade at this cafe. Their signature drinks have crumbled Dalgona on top of the drinks which I thought was so cool. The cookie gives it a bittersweet taste, and melts into the coffee which tasted amazing. I got the Vanilla Iced Latte with the Dalgona on top. There is also a good amount of seating, and is a great place to get work done. I definitely will be back!

This place is super cute! If you're looking for a nice spot to come and chill, study or have a cute coffee date. This is it! The cashier was super friendly she went over all the question I had about the menu. The prices were pretty reasonable honestly. The only annoying part is parking, but then again what place in LA doesn't have bad parking now a days. Definitely give this place a try!

History Coffee is a true gem for both coffee and matcha lovers. The Mocha Matcha Latte with Oatmilk was elegantly presented and perfectly balanced, hitting every note on the flavor palette. The clean, comfy cafe feel paired with a variety of pastries and drinks makes this a must-try spot to settle in and sip something special. Quick and outstanding service.

I had a great experience the first time I came to this coffee shop. The WiFi worked well, my matcha was good, and I found metered parking. This second time I went it was also great! I ordered a banana latte for the road and was honestly surprised at how yummy it was. The banana chunks made me love it. It took them about 5 minutes to give me my drink, so the wait wasn't terrible. Something new I did notice were signs around the cafe that there is "No Loud Talking" allowed- which I honestly love. It's very much a working cafe, people have their laptops and are doing their individual projects. It's a great set up to get things done.

Trying to find coffee shop in the area to make a stop and spend some time on my laptop, then finding History Coffee on Yelp with pretty high rating and great reviews. Parking was kinda tricky as expected around this area, but managed to find one of the last spots available. The couples serving that time were extremely friendly and helpful and I loved how their menu offered some peculiar options like their signature Banana Latte I went for, which seemed to be the most favorite one. Plenty of seats with power outlets and I could see not few of the guests did come to work, so you could expect the ambiance was pretty focus time friendly. They did offer some pastries and Chia Puddings but not heavier meals. My drink, which was only available in iced, turned out awesome. They even had small banana chunks on top. It was refreshing, not overly sweet, and the banana flavor surely didn't overpower the pretty bold coffee and even complemented it very well. Would recommend!

Very nice and atmospheric place, ambience is very relaxing and welcoming, extremely nice and friendly service. I've enjoyed my bite and the drink was delicious. Also did some work on my laptop and they have power outlets available so charge a laptop or phone if needed. Definitely coming back. Thank you guys.

It was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, not too strong (but rich coffee flavor) and creamy but not oily, just so delicious. And the location is a nice spot too. It looked as much like an art gallery as it did a coffee spot. It is small but it has nice designated areas to work and relax. When I was there it was also quiet which is a nice change from a lot of coffee shops. And I believe it was the Owner who made my drink and she was very friendly and chill without being you know that kind of corporate-y overly effusive. The whole vibe could be summed up as relaxed. It's a really relaxed and relaxing environment. But if nothing else I will absolutely be back for that latte, it was *delicious*.

Walk by, and... you have keen eyes if you catch the sign by the door. Walk in, and you're welcomed by the most inviting woman who's ready to make you one of the best espressos and drinks from scratch. I'm not one to be venture out of a basic iced latte, but I knew I had to go for one of their seasonals when they had black sesame - unfortunately sold out! (Even at 11am... must be popular!) Somehow, some way, I had the privilege of trying their iced oat latte with black sesame foam. There was everything to like about this drink from the perfectly bold espresso - a good balance of nutty but toasty - but also a sesame cream foam. After getting the drinks, there is a quiet space to sit around and lounge about. Have a book or magazine? The couch is perfect. Have work to do? There's small tables in the hallway or even a large table and desk inside the private room. Comfortably enough, the ambiance itself is best described as open arms exclaiming "Welcome Home!" almost like a friend or neighbor is inviting you to their apartment for a cup of coffee. Wi-Fi and outlets are definitely available here. The only thing to bring to reach a flow state is your own set of noise cancelling earbuds. The walls and doors are indeed paper thin, and the traffic from the street does have a way of echoing and rumbling these walls. Other than that, though, my only bittersweet feeling with sharing this glowing review of Espresso Social Club is that finding space to work on future visits might now be a bit more competitive.

The space is set up great for catching up with friends (like we did) or getting some work done (I always see at least one person on a laptop when I drop by). There's a little parking lot right in front, and I've been able to park there easily each visit. I normally order some sort of cold coffee. On my most recent visit I got a blue mint latte, which was both aesthetically pleasing and delicious. I'm also a fan of the pastries. I've had some sort of tomato pastry and a jalapeño cheese croissant, both of which satisfied whatever savory craving I was having. I appreciate the resources posted, the signage that's up, and the community events that happen here. The energy and intention behind this space are wonderful.
